50 Cent Launches G-Unit Film & Television Studio In Louisiana

It goes without saying that 50 Cent’s empire is no joke, and evidently, it only continues to grow. Today (April 18), he officially launched G-Unit Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana. The launch is expected to notably boost the city’s economy by introducing new job opportunities and culture to the region. A press conference for the unveiling is scheduled to happen later today at 4 p.m. local time.

“As someone who has always believed in the transformative power of music, film, and television, I’m beyond excited to introduce the expansion of my G-Unit Film & Television through the launch of G-Unit Studios right here in Shreveport,” 50 Cent told Billboard of his latest feat earlier today. “From the gritty narratives of the streets to the compelling stories that define our era, G-Unit has always been more than just entertainment; it’s a platform for voices that need to be heard, stories that need to be told.”

“Bringing G-Unit Studios to Shreveport is not just a business decision; it’s a commitment to fostering talent, creating opportunities, and building a community that thrives through creativity and innovation,” he also added. “We see Shreveport as a beacon of inspiration and creativity.” The city’s mayor, Tom Arceneaux, agrees. “We are thrilled that G-Unit Studios will plant its roots in Shreveport,” he says of the launch. “This city’s rich culture and talent provides the perfect backdrop for this endeavor. We are eager to collaborate with Mr. Jackson and G-Unit Film & Television to bring captivating movies and entertainment to Shreveport and Caddo Parish.”

Fif also took to Instagram today to share a photo of the impressive layout, expressing excitement for his latest endeavor. “Excited to announce the expansion of G-Unit Film & Television through the launch of my G-Unit Studios right here in Shreveport,” he captioned the photo. Still, that hasn’t stopped any of the famous family’s five sisters from raking in serious dough thanks to their various business endeavours. The youngest, Kylie Jenner, is the latest to share a new creative project with her fans, taking a step away from her skincare and cosmetics companies to instead focus her energy on affordable luxury fashion in the form of her Khy clothing brand. Just weeks after soft launching online, the products officially went on sale this week, and according to PEOPLE it only took an hour for Jenner to secure a millionaire’s bag.

The outlet exclusively reported on Friday (November 3) that the mother of two sold out of offerings like the faux leather trench, Moto gloves, and minidress. All of the designs came from Jenner in tandem with Namilia, who’s based out of Berlin. However, ahead of Khy’s official debut, a creative named Betsy John put the reality starlet on blast for allegedly stealing the brand’s concepts from her.

Jenner has yet to address these allegations and instead is gearing up for Khy’s second collection to launch later this month. “I want people to know how completely involved I am in this,” she recently told Vogue of her project. “From original concept, to designing, or co-designing if we’re working with other designers, from picking fabrics, colours, I’ve been in every fit meeting. I am the creative director of the brand and marketing. There’s not an Instagram post or video that hasn’t been personally edited by me, there hasn’t been an Instagram post that I haven’t posted myself.”

Travis Scott Announces “Utopia” Event At Pyramids Of Giza

Travis Scott has announced that he will be unveiling his long-awaited fourth studio album, Utopia, during a live-streamed performance in front of the ancient Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. In an Instagram post on Sunday, he confirmed that the event will be going down on Friday, July 28. Tickets will be available in a limited capacity. In a press release, his team described the event as an “unforgettable show that will immerse fans in the world of Utopia.”

Utopia will mark his first full-length release since 2018’s Grammy-nominated Astroworld. In addition to announcing the performance, Scott also revealed that the album will have “five individual artworks,” although he didn’t show them off. Pre-orders are available on Scott’s website.

Fans expressed their excitement in the comments section of Scott’s post. One wrote: “THE DAY THE MUSIC INDUSTRY WILL CHANGE FOREVER.” Another posted: “It’s time boys we finally made it!!!” Other fans weren’t as positive. “Bro jus drop the mf album we don’t care ab no tour or concert ngl,” one user wrote, while another commented: “All this for Carti to drop narcissist and nobody finna listen to Utopia.”

Scott has kept details on the album quiet, although in recent weeks a number of artists have been spotted in public carrying Utopia briefcases. Among them are Bad Bunny, SZA, The Weeknd, and Mike Dean. It’s likely these artists will be credited on the album. Scott also held the briefcase while recreating The Beatles’ iconic Abbey Road album cover.

However, maybe this red carpet appearance is an indicator that things are picking up for them.
