Rasheeda Claims Modern Femcees Have It Far Easier Than OGs

During a recent interview, Rasheeda shared her thoughts on the current state of the female rap game, claiming that artists have it far easier nowadays. She recalled her own come-up, explaining how she had to take a boots-on-the-ground approach to building her following, as she didn’t have social media at her disposal. While she doesn’t fault younger artists for the advantages they have, she calls what she went through “real artist development,” noting how nothing can shake her confidence.

“There’s differences, but there’s similarities,” she said of the different generations. “We didn’t have social media, we didn’t have the internet, we didn’t have computers, sh*t. N***as ain’t have computers, n***as ain’t have phones like that for real… So it’s like, everything you did was really out the mud. Every fan, every show, every single thing that you did was the truth.”

She went on to describe how it’s much easier for artists nowadays to put their work out there for millions to see, whereas she had to travel around for exposure. “We had to drive to these places and really put in the work,” she explained. “And that’s where real artist development come in.” Rasheeda continued, citing the challenges that came along with being part of a male-dominated industry as a woman in hip hop.

“You had to prove yourself,” she said. “As far as me? Keep in mind I was reigned as the ‘Queen of Crunk,’ so I got n***as like Lil Jon. I’m opening up for them n***as, so I gotta come with it. “Heiress Harris everybody,” T.I. announced before adorably ushering her offstage. Clearly, the crowd was feeling her performance, as she was met with tremendous applause. Commenters are coming through with plenty of support for the up-and-coming icon. “She is literally a BORN STAR,” one fan writes. “I wish great things for this baby,” another user also adds.

This is far from the only time T.I. highlighted his daughter’s impressive list of accomplishments, however. Earlier this month, he took to social media to celebrate her radio debut, sharing a clip of the exciting moment on Instagram. Her song, “What Does Christmas Mean To You?” is heard playing in the car as the MC and his son listen excitedly. “Hey that was your little sister on the radio!” he shouted, later asking, “How you feel big brother?”

“Proud!” he responded with a smile. Despite the hitmaker showing public appreciation for his children, his family life has been under fire in recent months, following an altercation with his son King in November. The 19-year-old and his father got into it at a Hawks game, sparking speculation surrounding their relationship as a result. Sexyy Red Calls Lil Scrappy A “H*e” While Teasing New Collab

In recent months she’s joined forces with the likes of Drake, Chief Keef, Lil Durk, Kevin Gates, and more. As 2024 approaches, the hitmaker shows no signs of slowing down, despite being well into her second pregnancy. Lately, Sexyy Red’s been gearing up to drop a track with Baddies cast member Chrisean Rock, but she’s not the only reality star the “SkeeYee” performer has been working with these days.

The St. Louis native also recently linked up with Love & Hip Hop icon Lil Scrappy. The two of them appear to have some new music in the works, though an official release date has yet to be announced. Scrappy took to Instagram to tease the collab yesterday, dropping a video of himself telling viewers, “I ain’t no scary a** b*tch, I’m a h*e.”

“We some hoes baby, you knew that,” Sexyy Red chimed in, prompting Scrappy to proudly reiterate that he’s a “h*e.” She agreed with him, reminding the Atlanta-born performer that Love & Hip Hop fans everywhere have had a front-row seat to his antics for years. “I am a h*e,” he said, to which she responded, “I know, I seen the show.”

Blueface Shoots His Shot At Drive-Thru, Asks Employees For Their Numbers

It’s no secret that Blueface continues to go through ups and downs in his relationships, and it seems like these days, the embattled rapper is looking for someone new. Earlier this week, he shared a clip of himself pulling up to the drive-thru at a fast-food restaurant, where one of the employees caught his eye. He proceeded to holler at the young woman from the passenger seat, urging her to write her phone number on a receipt for him.

“How you doin’? Can I get your number?” he asked, eliciting excited screams from her and a nearby coworker. “Put your number on the receipt — both of ya’ll […] don’t charge me, baby, get that feed later,” he then added. It’s unclear whether or not Blueface actually got either of the ladies’ numbers, but regardless, the gesture appears to have made their night.

Some could argue that the employees might be better off keeping their distance from the 26-year-old father of three, however, as he doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to relationships. The mother of his youngest child, for example, continues to be plagued with unending drama since their little one arrived. Though he and Chrisean Rock are no longer an item, he frequently takes aim at the Baltimore MC online, even denying being the father of her son.

As for the mother of his other kids, Jaidyn Alexis, Blueface recently claimed to have purchased her a four-story home for Christmas. Adam22 Calls Drakeo The Ruler The Most Influential West Coast Artist Of The Past Decade

During a recent podcast episode, Adam22 and Wack 100 shared their thoughts on West Coast hip hop, and who they believe has been a driving force in it over the past decade or so. According to Adam, Drakeo The Ruler takes the cake for him, but Wack seems to disagree. The two of them went back and forth, with Adam noting how many other major artists were inspired by Drakeo.

“Drakeo was like, probably the most influential West Coast artist of the last ten years,” Adam explained. “But he totally subverted all of the West Coast sounds.” Wack 100 then chimed in to object to Adam’s claims, bringing Roddy Ricch as well as Blueface into the debate. “Drakeo don’t have more plaques than Blueface,” he said. “You don’t get a Blueface without Drakeo,” the No Jumper host argued. “Blueface’s flow is Drakeo-inspired. I’m sorry, I’m just gonna say it.”

Adam then went on to name a few other artists who he believes have been influenced by Drakeo The Ruler, including X4, Shoreline Mafia, and more. “His flow was massively influential to the point where people don’t give him credit for its influence because they can’t see the influence because it’s permeated throughout all of rap so much,” he described. Wack continued to protest, refusing to say that X4 was inspired by Drakeo. According to Adam, however, Drakeo would admit to it himself, as he’s a “student of Drakeo.”

Cam’ron Recalls Pre-Fame Halle Berry Flirting Attempt: “Hear Me Out!”

During an episode of the All the Smoke podcast last week, the Harlem native recalled his attempt at flirting with the actress before he struck fame. While it doesn’t seem as though he was able to get her number, he was able to give her a sample of his music, which ultimately worked out for him in one way or another.

“I love Halle Berry right? So one day [when] I had [recently] gotten a record deal, I had just finished playing basketball in LA,” he explained. “I’m at the ATM and n***as is like, ‘Yo that’s Halle Berry next to you!’ I ain’t got no haircut, I got no shirt on,” Cam continued, “I’m like, ‘Yo, let me talk to you real quick!’ She’s like, ‘No, no, no, no, no, no. During a recent interview with HipHopDX, Waka Flocka opened up about the viral clip of him thinking that an ASL interpreter was simply a woman getting down at his show. According to him, he realized that she was more than just an eager fan immediately after the concert. Luckily, he was able to learn a lot from the deaf community as a result of the incident, making it an overall enlightening experience for the rapper.

“[I realized it was a sign language interpreter] right after the concert,” he told the outlet. “Yo, shout out to the deaf community as well man. We actually got a movie coming in the ESPY Awards. We definitely got some sh*t coming. I love that community, by the way. Because that community taught me a lot. Now I know how to get around people that speak other languages.”

He continued, elaborating on how the deaf community has taught him to pick up on what others are saying when he doesn’t speak their language. “I understand if it’s negative or positive because conversation vibrate,” he described. “So if somebody’s conversation make me feel woozy, I know it ain’t for me. Dr. Umar Accuses Cassie And Christian Keyes Of “Financial Exploitation”

Last month, Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy, accusing the Bad Boy Records founder of rape, physical and emotional abuse, and more. The two of them settled shortly after she filed, but her allegations were followed by several more. Diddy has since been hit with four additional lawsuits from women accusing him of similar misconduct.

Amid the countless damning headlines surrounding Cassie’s account of her relationship with Diddy, she’s been met with a great deal of criticism. Various social media users and peers have accused the songstress of going after Diddy purely for financial gain. Most recently, Dr. Umar shared his thoughts about the situation on The Joe Budden Podcast, claiming that her timing seems suspicious. “To come back after you done already moved on to another family and say ‘you did all these things to me,’ it looks like financial exploitation,” he explained.

He went on to state that he suspects something similar could be going on with Christian Keyes. Earlier this month, Keyes came forward to share his story of being sexually harassed by a “powerful” man in Hollywood. He’s yet to disclose the alleged perpetrator’s name. He also shared plans to hand over evidence he has to authorities sometime in the future. Dr. Umar shared that in his opinion, the story isn’t adding up.

“It looks like you’re picking up where Cassie left off,” he said of Keyes. “And he did admit that Cassie gave him the courage to come forward and speak.” He went on, arguing that while the fear of retribution could influence women’s decisions to come forward, he thinks the same wouldn’t apply to men. According to him, “power dynamics” don’t come into play as much with men as they do with women. “No grown a** man is letting a grown a** man put his fingers in his a** for years,” he also added. Recently, Akbar V took to social media to reveal that her daughter Dora was hospitalized for some serious health issues. She shared an Instagram reel featuring photos of the two of them together earlier this week, which has since been deleted. She thanked Dora for being the “best daughter” in her emotional message.

“We don’t lay down, we fight and believe God can’t cry, cause I got to be strong for u,” she added. “I need you to make it through this, and when u do, I’ma tell u how I snuck and cried in hospital room when I watch u sleep how my nights was very uneasy watching u lay in that bed.” Akbar V has yet to disclose what caused Dora’s condition.

“So, we been at the ICU since Saturday,” Akbar V began. “She’s strong, she’s strong. She’s a warrior… It’s real serious.” The rapper continued, sharing new details of Dora’s condition. “She is talking, but for the most part she just [keeps] her eyes closed,” she said. “She can’t see. It’s blood under her brain, and sometimes God has to take you through certain things to strengthen you.” She went on, urging fans to pray for Dora and not to believe everything they hear about the situation unless it comes straight from her. “Regardless of what I be faced with, I’m strong,” she added.
