Tyler, the Creator has returned with his seventh studio album, Chromakopia, and fans are elated. They’ve been taking to X (formerly Twitter) throughout the morning to share their reactions to the highly-anticipated project, with many ranking it among Tyler’s best work.
“Completely unrelated but Tyler is a better rapper and artist in general than J Cole. And he has more classics,” one user wrote. Another posted: “14/14 NO MISSES. ALL FEATURES DELIVERED. ABSOLOUTLEY BEAUTIFUL FROM START TO FINISH. TYLER HAS DONE IT AGAIN THANK YOU FOR THIS MASTERPIECE..” Others complained that they anticipated getting a feature from Frank Ocean on the project. One user defended Tyler over that not coming to fruition, writing: “Tyler never promised a frank feature, social media cooked up that delusion don’t let it ruin your listening experience please.”
Tyler recently discussed his inspiration for the project during a listening party in Los Angeles on Sunday night. “The album kinda just turned into me taking a bunch of sh*t my mom told me as a kid,” he said on state, as caught by NFR Podcast. “Now that I’m 33, all that stuff is like ‘Oh, that’s what the f**k she was talking about.’ People are getting older, folks having families now, and all I got is a new Ferrari… Life is life-ing and I don’t know, I just wanted to write about stuff that I think about when I’m dolo.”
Fans React To Tyler, The Creator’s New Album
Check out more of the responses to Chromakopia below. Tyler will be embarking on a world tour to perform the project in 2025. In doing so, he’ll be bringing along Lil Yachty and Paris Texas. Be on the lookout for further updates on Tyler, the Creator on HotNewHipHop.
Tyler The Creator’s new album Chromakopia just dropped this morning (October 28). The project is full of features, but none of them are credited on the tracklist, so fans have been having fun figuring out who guests on the album.
Glover also joined Tyler at his Coachella set earlier this year. There, Tyler spoke about the rags-to-riches nature of their relationship, saying, “You know what’s sick? I used to hate that n****. Seriously, I don’t know why, I gotta go to therapy to figure it out. But then this n**** put this song called ‘Urn’ out, U-R-N. It was so undeniable, n****, I was at conflict with myself. I’m like, ‘F*ck, how could a n**** that I hate so much be so good?’ And now, the tables have turned and this n**** barely returns my calls. Donald, I f*ck with you. Thank you for putting out sh*t that exceeds expectations or the perception that n****s like us should make. I love you, thank you for existing, and thank you for coming out.”

This Monday morning is a bit unusual, as music fans had something to look forward to at 6 a.m. ET: The release of a high-profile new album. Tyler The Creator just dropped his new project, Chromakopia, this morning, but not at midnight as is usual. As he explained, “YOU CAN LISTEN TO IT WHEN YOU WAKE UP, YOU DONT HAVE TO DEPRIVE YOURSELF OF SLEEP FOR SOMETHING THAT IS GOING TO BE THERE WHEN YOU WAKE UP.”
Well, people have woken up and listened, and one track many have been immediately struck by is “Sticky,” due to its tremendous star power.
The songs, as displayed on streaming platforms, do not have credited featured artists. But, credited as songwriters on the track, according to the song’s credits as seen on Spotify, are GloRilla, Sexyy Red, Lil Wayne, Timbaland, and Young Buck.
Others have noted that artists also featured across the project include Childish Gambino, Daniel Caeser, Teezo Touchdown, ScHoolBoy Q, and Doechii. Tyler hosted a listening party for the album last night, but as for actual performances, he has a tour that is set to kick off in February 2025.

Tyler The Creator just came through with his brand new album Chromakopia. Dropping at 6 AM EST on a Monday morning was definitely a risk, but it seems like Tyler wants to restore the feeling of how releases used to be. Overall, it appears to be paying off as all of the releases from the weekend have been consumed by the sheer scale of Tyler’s fame and acclaim from the masses. Now, fans are diving into this new album, and there is one song in particular that has some very interesting features.
Of course, we are talking about the song “Sticky.” This is a song that features the likes of Lil Wayne, Sexyy Red, and even GloRilla. You wouldn’t know these artists are on the song until actually turning the track on. Tyler has decided to hide his feature list, which is taking a page out of the Travis Scott playbook. Either way, it pays off as this will prove to be a nice surprise for a whole lot of fans.

Quotable Lyrics:

Tyler, the Creator has the entire hip-hop world paying attention today as he just dropped off his brand-new album Chromakopia. This is a project that fans have been waiting for, and it certainly did not disappoint. There are 14 tracks on this new album, and fans are currently in the midst of listening through the project. However, one song that has immediately stood out thanks to the track’s raw energy and flows, is “Rah Tah Tah,” which is the second song on the album.
As we heard in the song “Noid,” one of the big concepts being talked about on the record is being paranoid. This certainly shines through on this track as Tyler seems out of his mind at points. His flow reflects that as he delves into inflections that we have never really heard from the artist. This is all backed up by some abrasive production that does a good job of illustrating Tyler’s mental state. As the day goes on, it will be fun to dive into these tracks and see the entire vision of what he is going for here.
Let us know what you think of this new Tyler, the Creator song, in the comments section down below. Have you had a chance to check out the new album? If so, tell us what you think about it. Crib so damn big, I paid a dollar at the city, yeah ‘Til my cousin dead, she my favorite ’cause she hit me up A-ha-ha-ha, boy, I got the last laugh And rah-tah-tah-tah, bitch, I’m steppin’ on the gas (Mm)
Tyler, the Creator is one of the most beloved artists in hip-hop right now. Although his career started with some pretty polarizing work, his output since 2018 has been praised by critics and fans alike. From Flower Boy to IGOR to Call Me If You Get Lost, the California-based artist has proven that he can make phenomenal albums and songs. Overall, this had fans hyped up for a new project. On Monday, Tyler delivered that project with Chromakopia. Tyler delivered a few teasers of this album, including “NOID” which was a rock-infused epic that had shades of Black Sabbath and King Crimson.
This new project has only a few features and is 14 tracks long. Moreover, it could be a polarizing one given the new sounds Tyler is going for. However, the project just came out, so you can be sure that fans need some time to digest the music and make some enlightened assessments. Either way, this is a project that will likely be one of the biggest of the year. Tyler always manages to make Album of the Year contenders. However, it will be interesting to see how this stacks up against every other artist who dropped this year.

Tyler The Creator has been called many things throughout his career. But, a new accusation thrown onto the “St. Chroma” rapper’s jacket has fans hip-hop fans furious.
A line in Tyler The Creator’s latest Chromakopia single, “Thought I Was Dead,” didn’t sit well with famed producer Mike Dean. “White boys mockin’ this sh*t and y’all mad at me? Y’all can suck my d*ck / Pull up old tweets, pull up old t-shirts, all that, I moonwalk over that b*tch,” raps Tyler in the track’s opening verse.
Shortly after learning about the line, in an Instagram comment (viewable here) Mike Dean accused Tyler’s bars of being racist. “Racist sh*t,” he wrote.
Tyler hasn’t responded to Mike Dean’s call-out. However, users online have turned to script on Mike Dean. “Mike Dean is much of a troll as Tyler don’t take this serious,” penned one user.
Others stood in full support of Tyler’s bar, alleging that it was a necessary did at Lil Yachty’s artist Ian.
“Racist for stating FACTS? This gaslighting ass sh*t outta here,” chimed another.
“Tyler’s comments were thought-provoking and deserve thoughtful discussion. As an artist, he often uses provocative language to challenge perspectives,” added another.
This isn’t the first time Tyler has supposedly addressed Ian’s entry into the culture. Back in August, during an appearance on SpringHill’s Mavericks With Mav Carter podcast seemingly called out those propping Ian up, saying: “[There’s] this white kid, regular Caucasian man, and he’s like mocking Future and Gucci Mane… like rap music. People are like, ‘this sh*t hard.’ It’s not even like satire… I hold rap music so close to my heart. This sh*t changed my life and everyone’s life around me.”

Tyler The Creator is dropping his new album CHROMAKOPIA in less than 24 hours, and he’s still giving fans more material to hype them up even further. His latest is a snippet (or perhaps a full track? We’ll see…) titled “THOUGHT I WAS DEAD,” where he seems to make reference to his comments earlier this year about white rappers mocking hip-hop culture. “White boys mocking this s**t, and y’all mad at me? Y’all can suck my d**k,” the Hawthorne native rapped on the cut. Many fans online interpreted this criticism in a Maverick Carter interview as shots towards ian, although Tyler never named him. As such, this is still a pretty speculative narrative.
“This white kid, regular Caucasian man, and he’s, like, mocking Future and Gucci Mane. Like… rap music,” Tyler, The Creator told Maverick Carter earlier this year. “And people are like, ‘This s**t hard.’ […] This is, like… weird. Something about it don’t even sit well with me in comparison to someone like a Mac Miller or Eminem, who didn’t seem like they was mocking it. They had a genuine love for it, and they were still big.”
Tyler The Creator Seems To Address His Alleged ian Comments
While ian’s manager took this as a criticism of his client specifically, there’s still plausible deniability, even though the Internet already put two and two together and are running with this narrative. Still, neither Tyler, The Creator nor ian himself have clarified this outright, so maybe he’s talking about someone else or it’s not deep enough to really make a fuss over. Also, it’s curious that this is on what seems to be a CHROMAKOPIA song, as we don’t know when it was recorded or if this really responds to the Maverick Carter interview backlash.
Nevertheless, people have a lot of takes about this criticism, and feel free to make yours known down in the comments section below. In the meantime, Tyler, The Creator is probably getting ready for his CHROMAKOPIA listening event in Los Angeles later today (Sunday, October 27). As for ian, he recently dropped the Goodbye Horses album, another collection of trap bangers. We’ll see if there’s anything else to this already speculative story…
Tyler, the Creator is currently gearing up to drop his highly anticipated seventh studio album, Chromakopia. The project is slated for release on October 28, and recently, he delivered yet another preview of what’s to come. Today, Tyler unleashed a new self-directed video titled “Thought I Was Dead.”
Visually, it fits in with the rest of the promotional videos Tyler has dropped this month. As expected listeners are already loving the new track, and have flooded his YouTube comments section with praise. “IT’S SO GOOD WE’RE IN FOR A CLASSIC,” one writes. “CHROMAKOPIA WILL BE ALBUM OF THE YEAR,” another insists.
While the teaser has certainly managed to get fans excited, another one of Tyler’s latest moves has them feeling the opposite. He changed his Twitter/X bio to read “F*CKKKKKK FEATURES,” which some speculate could mean there won’t be any features on Chromakopia. This is unconfirmed, but some social media users are disappointed regardless, as they’ve been theorizing about who could appear on the album since the “St. Chroma” teaser came out earlier this month. Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, 21 Savage, and Little Simz are among the collaborators fans expected.
For now, it appears as though fans will just have to wait until Monday at 6 AM EST to see what this all means. Tomorrow, however, some lucky supporters in the Los Angeles area will have an opportunity to hear the project in full early during his listening party at the Intuit Dome. What do you think of Tyler, the Creator’s new “Thought I Was Dead” video? What about him appearing to hint at the idea of there being no features on his new album? Do you think this could be the case or not? Are you looking forward to finally hearing Chromakopia when it drops on Monday at 6 AM EST? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
It’s been a triumphant year in hip-hop, from receiving quality bodies of work from artists like ScHoolboy Q and Vince Staples to the Blockbuster battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake but it looks like the final quarter of the year will continue to keep up the momentum with Tyler, The Creator’s forthcoming album, CHROMAKOPIA due out on Monday, October 28th. Ditching traditional release dates may set the tone for artists moving forward to avoid the first-week sale debacle.
