Chris Brown Is In Awe Of Fan With Massive Portrait Tattoo

Fans these days will go all out to show their dedication to, or receive the attention of, their favorite artists. There was a time when wearing a t-shirt of a musician showed just how much someone admired their music, but as generations move from one to the next, fans have been showing love in more inventive ways.

Tattoos have become a common form of expression as it isn’t difficult to find music lovers with permanent ink that gives a nod to their favorite songs, albums, concerts, or artists. Chris Brown is an icon who is bombarded with images of his fans paying homage, and he highlighted another in a recent post.

Portrait tattoos require a level of commitment that not everyone has, especially for an artist that they don’t know personally. Yet, people feel so connected to Breezy that they regularly visit parlors in hopes of having something that connects them to the singer for life.

Brown highlighted a fan recently because the man’s tattoo was hard to ignore. “BRO WENT CRAZY [fire emoji],” he wrote alongside the image. The already-heavily tattooed fan inked Brown’s portrait on his head, right next to another tattoo of Michael Jackson.

There have been ongoing debates regarding whether or not MJ or CB is the King of Pop, but this guy made room for both on his dome.

Chris Brown Releases "Call Me Every Day" Video Feat. WizKid

Chris Brown is back in his Breezy bag, dropping off a video for the WizKid-assisted “Call Me Every Day.”

The new video kicks off with a woman enjoying her downtown in a bathtub before her mind transports her to a market where she runs into the two artists who delivered an elite performance of the song and the uber-popular TikTok dance.

Additional scenes place the two superstars in the presence of a bright light display and a living artistic setting where the two are surrounded by models who stroll the geometric cement structure.

Before the album was released earlier this summer, Chris BRown released the video for “WE (Warm Embrace)” featuring Normani.

The video opens with another single from Breezy as Chris free falls toward the earth. He then wakes up from the dream to Normani pulled up outside his home in a vintage Benz. The two then connect for an intense and steamy dance sequence that does not disappoint.

The BREEZY album will feature Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow, H.E.R., Fivio Foreign, and more.

Chris Brown Says No Award Shows Will Book Him: ‘Let Me Be Great’

Chris Brown Reportedly Welcomes Third Child With Model Diamond Brown

Chris Brown has had a stellar year surrounding his most recent album Breezy. With sold-out shows and fan meet-and-greet pictures dominating timelines, Breezy wants fans to know he is still banned from performing at awards shows.

After a performance in New Mexico, Breezy hit Instagram and let off a statement:

“YOU SEE THE PEOPLE??? EVERY SHOW IS PACKED LIKE THIS… IF IT WASNT FOR MY INCREDIBLE FANS I WOULD’VE BEEN QUIT… I don’t like the fake celebrity SHIT… AWARD SHOWs HAVENT let me perform in years… yet my shows STILL SELL OUT. LET ME BE GREAT…”

A fan hopped into Chris Brown’s comments to ask if the BET Awards are part of the shows that do not let him perform. Breezy replied, “nope” as in he doesn’t get those invites either. You can see his statement here.

If you haven’t caught on yet, Chris Brown’s meet-and-greet images are must-see. In each city, Breezy links up with his VIP fans for, what appears to be, a pose of their choosing. The images with women often come off like couples photos.

Fans have enjoyed, joked, and even scrutinized some of the images as they hit online, and Breezy is holding down his fans in an online statement.

“PSA!!! When artists (everyone) do concerts, they all have something called a VIP package. I haven’t done meet and greets in over 7 years…I have the coolest fans on the planet. I appreciate the fuck outta them. These are memories that will last with them forever. Unlike most of these lame ass artists that wont even make eye contact with the people who made it possible to even have a career. I only exist because these fans saw something in me I never thought was possible… So Ima go all out for my fans!!!”

Mary J Blige and Diddy Discuss How Pop Music Tried to”Kill” R&B on IG Live

Mary J Blige

She may be the queen of R&B, but Mary J Blige expressed some concerns about the current state of her kingdom (queendom?) on a spirited discussion with Diddy on IG live in which she claims that pop music killed the R&B genre.

Diddy took to IG live on this week via Hollywood Unlocked after he had asked his followers: “Who killed R&B?” Mary J Blige joined him for a live session (which is archived here) to discuss her thoughts on the genre’s current state and how it got there.

Of R&B being “killed,” she said that “You can’t kill something that’s in our DNA. It’s going to keep transitioning from generation to generation to generation,” noting how many people her age have passed down a love of the genre to their children.

She did however, note that many mainstream radio stations have tried to kill R&B, or at least change the genre to be more in line with mainstream taste.

She first thanked the radio stations around the country that play and support R&B music before explaining that radio stations tend to jump on the bandwagon and play whatever is popular.

She said that the radio stations call it “popular music” when artists like Justin Timberlake and Adele get ahold of it, before explaining that “it [R&B] has been popular music.”

She stated that R&B can’t be killed, explaining that “we have to keep ourselves alive. You can’t kill us because we’re already in the system, in the bloodline, the DNA.”

She cited many popular R&B artists including Chris Brown, Chaka Khan, Etta James, Usher, Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, Jazmine Sullivan, and SWV that have not been “killed” and are keeping the genre alive.

She also encouraged R&B fans not to be “sheep” and get angry at the radio stations, but rather be shepherds and promote the genre and request more R&B on mainstream radio.

Mary J Blige’s “Good Morning Gorgeous Tour” starts September 17.
