NLE Choppa Lists Reasons He’s “The Greatest”

Recently, NLE Choppa hopped online to explain to fans why he’s “the greatest.” He provided viewers with a long list of things he’s managed to do throughout his career, flexing his countless accomplishments. The 20-year-old didn’t shy away from stroking his own ego a bit, but most can agree that the success he’s reached at such a young age is pretty impressive.

One accomplishment he was sure to note was “having [his] young n***as on go” with his Warner Records imprint label, No Love Entertainment. He also cited investing, the seven billion streams of his music, and starting out in the game when he was only 16. “Damn,” he remarked, “When y’all gone give me my props though?”

NLE Choppa is no stranger to engaging in a little self love. This summer, he dropped off his Nelly-sampling single “It’s Getting Hot,” and took to Twitter to celebrate its success. “I’M THE GREATEST,” he wrote. “Y’ALL COUNTED ME OUT, NOW THEY LOST COUNT. I DO THIS TIME AND TIME AGAIN, HIT AFTER HIT, SONG AFTER SONG. DON’T PLAY WITH ME. [BETTER] NOT EVER TRY AGAIN, SHOW ‘EM MY STREAMS MAMAMMMMAAA #ItsGettingHot.”

Though the track got mixed reviews from listeners, it appeared to give the Memphis-born performer a huge ego boost. He even got to team up with Nelly at the VMAs earlier this month to perform a medley of his track and Nelly’s original, “Hot In Herre.” On the carpet, NLE Choppa revealed how the performance came about. “It just simply came about by reaching out to him and just asking. And this was one of the moments he was waiting for — to have with me and we did and we shared the stage and we graced it,” he explained. Chrisean Rock Elaborates On Blueface’s Absence At Birth, Says His Career Is Dying

Chrisean Rock isn’t done explaining why she’s keeping Blueface at a distance, both during and after their baby boy’s birth. Moreover, she had already revealed via Twitter that she didn’t even invite the rapper to the hospital to begin with. Clearly that didn’t faze him, since he spent his time partying in Miami with his partner and first baby momma Jaidyn Alexis instead. Still, the “Baddies” star had some harsh words for Blue in an Instagram Live session, but also some conciliatory caution. She spoke on child support, letting him see the kid, and needing more love than what he could offer.

“He could not be there when I’m pushing the baby out, I’m sorry,” Chrisean Rock remarked. “That s**t is intentional, that s**t is intense. I need love, real love, I don’t need a n***a ready to book no camera out because his career is dying. Like, I just need real love, I’m setting boundaries. Of course you can see your kid. Of course, whatever. I don’t need no child support, I don’t need no support from you I don’t. I don’t want nobody.”

Furthermore, this is what she had to say on Twitter about this situation. “I simply ain’t invite him I went to my city to have my child,” Chrisean Rock wrote on the social media platform. “None of you weird a** ppl ain’t finna be around my son. I’m all he got I’ma do everything I can to protect him from hate and jealousy or anything. His name is Chrisean and he will be loved n respected [100 emoji].” Actually, it’s unclear exactly when this IG Live took place, so maybe this is a bit old. Regardless, it still holds true and adds context that people are looking for right now.

Meanwhile, it seems like this whole saga just got another big bump in the road from none other than Blueface’s mom. She recently claimed that her son and Chrisean are actually related, which fans refused to believe online. It’s an odd claim to make, but then again, it’s exactly the kind of antic that became common for these individuals. Moreover, he spoke on how people thought he was part of the Illuminati, and why his dedication to God makes him a target for the media.

“When I first got in the rap game, a lot of people was like, ‘Soulja Boy an Illuminati,’” he expressed. “‘Soulja Boy joined the Illuminati, that’s how he got his money. That’s how he got famous, that’s how he got rich.’ But guess what? All I ever did was pray to God and stayed in the studio and stayed down until I made it, until I got on. They always gon’ try to discredit you for anything you do.

The Game Says He Regrets Comments On Kanye West & Dr. Dre

The Game has admitted that he regrets his controversial comments on Kanye West and Dr. Dre. Appearing on Amazon Music’s Bars and Nuggets podcast, Game explained that he was drunk during the infamous Drink Champs interview. At the time, he had argued that West did more for him in the previous two weeks than Dre through his entire career.

“So basically I was hollering at N.O.R.E. and them a little inebriated,” he explained in the interview. “And I said some things that I meant. I’m not gon’ take it back—I ain’t no sucker. But having Dre do anything for your project, anything in your career, touch any part of anything you’re doing in life is such a blessing that I shall not ever s**t on that again.”

Ice Spice Declined XXL Freshman Cover Due To Scheduling Conflicts, Source Says

XXL recently revealed their Freshman class of 2023, and fans were quick to wonder why Ice Spice wasn’t included. According to sources, the viral Bronx drill rapper did have the opportunity to be a part of this year’s Freshman class, but she declined. They claim that she turned the cover down due to her busy schedule. As she’s been releasing various ultra-successful hits as of late, it’s clear that the young rapper would have been a shoe-in for the cover. However, seeing as though she’s taking over this year’s festival season, it’s understandable that she’s working with an incredibly busy schedule.

Ice Spice is in high demand, blowing up this year for her work alongside Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, and Pinkpantheress. She recently hit over one billion streams on Spotify, unsurprising considering the magnitude of her success in such a short time. The Bronx icon also has more songs on the Billboard Hot 100 than any other artist in 2023. In her Billboard cover story last month, her manager, James Rosemond Jr., revealed that she has herself to thank. “No one on the label side touches the music,” he claims, “There is no traditional A&R with her. No one’s picking beats, no one’s saying, ‘Do this, do that.’ It’s all her. We’re on her schedule.”

Ice Spice Reflects On Rise To Fame: “I Don’t Think Anybody Is Ever Fully Prepared”

Ice Spice recently discussed her meteoric rise to superstardom during an interview with Teen Vogue. In speaking with the outlet, the Bronx rapper admitted that she wasn’t entirely prepared to become famous seemingly overnight. Since releasing her viral song “Munch (Feelin’ U),” last August, Ice Spice has attended the 2023 Met Gala, and released collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift, among other feats.

Of her success, Ice Spice told Teen Vogue that she’s most proud of her ability to stay humble. “I’m most proud of staying grounded so far because I’ve already been through so many things that I know a lot of people would’ve lost their f*cking minds,” she explained. “The whole lifestyle change is super drastic, especially coming from where I come from, not coming from sht and not having a lot growing up, to now — it’s the complete opposite…. Even though it’s a positive change, it’s still a change.”

Killer Mike Reveals 50 Cent Damaged His Early Career

Killer Mike, a beloved member of Run The Jewels, is well-known for his commitment to his solo career. His upcoming solo album, Michael, is set to be released next week. As such, he is featured as the cover star for Spin magazine. In an accompanying article written by Khari Nixon, the cost of bringing Killer Mike’s vision for Michael to life is revealed. At the beginning of the project, Cuz Lightyear, a collaborator of Killer Mike, took on the official role of A&R. For this role, he received a salary. This is typical, but what is not typical is that the rapper paid it out of his own pocket.

By the time Killer Mike enlisted No ID to transform the project from a mixtape to an album, he had already spent over a quarter of a million dollars. As the project progressed, this amount increased to over half a million dollars. Typically, such a large bill would create issues with a record label. However, at the time, Killer Mike was not signed to any label. Eventually, he struck a deal with Loma Vista Records. They are known for distributing records by artists like Denzel Curry and Action Bronson. They will now distribute Michael upon its release. Luckily, the advance from this deal reimbursed the rapper for the money he had invested in making the album.

In his interview with Spin, Killer Mike also revealed that 50 Cent may have unknowingly “damaged” his early career. However, that is simply because Mike compared his sales to 50’s sales. The two were both on a major label. However, 50 Cent far outsold Killer Mike. “My first record deal damaged me. It made me afraid, it pulled me back. I hadn’t done terribly on the major,” he said. “I just, you know, I came out the same year as 50, selling 10 million f*cking records.” Killer Mike went on to say the experience made him realize he is more comfortable with independent artists.

Recently, Killer Mike gave fans a taste of what his new solo album has to offer. He has released two singles from the album thus far. First, there was “Don’t Let The Devil” featuring El-P. She revealed in her response that despite her achievements, she misses her old ways of life. She went on to brush off the feeling as “part of growing up,” before continuing to hype the song.

“Okay last thing when is cardi gonna transition to full millionaire like why are you posing with guns and things in the put it on the floor again remix video,” a Twitter user asked. They added, “who escapes the hood just to relive it every chance they get.” “You wanna know wats so crazy?” Cardi begins her reply, “I was tearing the other day Cause I miss my old life.” She went on to claim, “Sometimes having everything GETS BORING,” adding, “But I won’t complain it’s not about me anymore.” “This is part of growing up and bout my kids,” she explained. Some users didn’t like Cardi’s explanation. “Girl bye it’s people out here hungry,” one wrote. “hahaha sometimes having everything gets boring ….. yeah okay,” another added alongside an eye-roll emoji. A different commenter simply said,
“Girl please.” Some of Cardi’s fans came to her defense in the comments section, however, with one claiming, “She still human, she wasn’t a snobby brat that was born rich.”

Earlier this month, the rapper also gave her fans a glimpse into her daily life as a “regular person.” On Wednesday, she toured her garage on social media, revealing a red Ferrari SUV gifted by her husband, Offset, as well as a black Maybach SUV, and more. Carmelo Anthony Has No Regret About Retiring Without A Ring

Carmelo Anthony officially retired from the NBA on May 22, ending a 19-year career as one of the deadliest shooters to ever play in the league. There were many accolades that came alongside Anthony’s career – 10 all-star appearances, and six All-NBA team nominations. However, the one thing that Anthony ends his career without is an NBA ring.

Despite Anthony’s talent, the various teams in his career were never quite in title contention. The closest Melo came was in the 2008-09 season, when the Denver Nuggets reached the Western Conference Finals. However, the Nuggets fell to the eventual champion Lakers in six games.

No Rings, No Regrets for Melo

However, Melo has no regrets about retiring without a ring. “I’m at peace,” Melo said to Sports Illustrated, “That doesn’t bother me no more; that idea that you’re a loser if you don’t win a championship. For me, I’ve won. I won back in 2003, the night I shook David Stern’s hand on that [draft] stage,” Anthony said. “I made it out of Red Hook. I’ve won at life. The ring is the only thing I didn’t get. It would’ve been a great accomplishment, but I don’t regret it, because I feel like I did everything I could to get it.”

Now, Anthony turns his attention to his son. Sixteen-year-old Kiyan Anthony currently has 11 collegiate offers, including from Melo’s alma mater Syracuse as well as the likes of Tennessee, Memphis, UMass, and Illinois. However, Melo also revealed that his one season with the Lakers, his last season in the NBA, was because of Kiyan. Despite vowing to retire when Kiyan started high school, his son pushed him for one last season. “Then [as he started high school] the Lakers called, and he told me, ‘Dad, I’ll be O.K., you should go.’ Even with LeBron there, I wouldn’t have done it without Kiyan pushing me. So to be able to spend time with him in the gym, on his work ethic? With school? I can be a father to him every day. It’s perfect timing.”
