Justin Timberlake Allegedly Upset With His Career After Arrest & Album Flop

Justin Timberlake now finds himself in a bit of a rough spot following a DWI arrest and a whole lot of clowning due to his mugshot. However, these obstacles and circumstances are ones that celebrities often have to deal with, however unfairly or sidestepped compared to the rest of the world. Apparently, according to alleged Hollywood insiders who spoke to Page Six, this whole scandal is affecting him particularly harshly given his album sales and tour ticket struggles. According to these alleged sources that also apparently spoke to The Post, the Memphis native’s career is not quite at the highs that he expected at this point, although it’s important to note that this is just hearsay and an understandably human response at that.

“The album didn’t do too well, and I don’t see Justin getting big acting roles right now,” an alleged Hollywood insider remarked of Justin Timberlake. “I just think Justin has a bad reputation in Hollywood as a bit of a jerk and a pain in the a**. He’s got a bit of an ego.” According to US Weekly, his wife Jessica Biel is also unhappy with his behavior as of late, although it’s unclear if she’s instead upset about the circumstances of his arrest.

“His golden boy image definitely depleted,” the alleged insider continued concerning Justin Timberlake. In addition to all this, previous discussions this year prompted renewed conversations around his relationships with Janet Jackson and Britney Spears in the professional and romantic realms, respectively. This was largely due to Spears’ new memoir last year, in which she detailed getting an abortion after getting pregnant with J.T.’s baby. “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f***ing nobody,” he reportedly told a concert crowd in February.

“There have been rumors around Justin’s behavior for a long time,” another insider said of Justin Timberlake. “Maybe the bubble was about to burst and this was the pin that pricked the bubble. He’s got a few blemishes, for sure. In today’s world you have to be really dumb to drink and drive. Justin is showing off a side that I don’t think a lot of people knew about.” His next court date is set for July 26.

Chingy Reflects On Sidney Starr’s False Affair Allegations: “I Lost A Lot”

Back in 2010, transgender model Sidney Starr came forward to accuse Chingy of having a sexual relationship with her, and he says things just haven’t been the same since. During a recent interview with TMZ, the performer reflected on the allegations and subsequent backlash, revealing how difficult it was for him to recover professionally. According to him, it took a serious toll on his reputation and career, largely due to a homophobic and transphobic culture.

In 2012, Starr revealed that the allegations were made up, admitting that she and Chingy never had an affair and apologizing. Regardless, the clowning has followed him, though he’s decided not to hold on to the hurt. “When that happened, I lost a lot of stuff based off a lie, which was just the oddest thing I’d ever seen,” he told the outlet. “Nah, man, when the individual apologized, and it so-called went away, which it took years to blow away, nah, man. Ain’t nothing good happened from that for me.”

“There’s no, I mean to be honest with you, man like it was spilled milk, and I lost a lot from it. That person gained,” Chingy continued. “I’m not going, I’m not gonna hold on to something. Like I’m just gonna be honest about it, it really did.” Fortunately, the St. Louis-born performer hasn’t let the debacle stop him from making music. Just last week, he unveiled a video for his song “Nu Beginnings.”

Lil Meech Reveals Why He Decided Against A Career In Music

Lil Meech recently explained his decision to focus fully on acting instead of a career in music during an interview with AllHipHop. He told that outlet that he quickly realized hip-hop wasn’t for him after getting in front of a mic with nothing to say. Meech currently stars on the hit series, BMF.

“I was there for like eight hours trying to figure out what to say and I realized this ain’t for me,” Lil Meech admitted. “I love music, I have an ear for it, but being in front of the mic, that’s not where I shine.” He also reflected on what it takes to make it in acting. “It’s all about hard work, dedication, and really soaking in everything around you. You’ve got to have tough skin in both industries, but for me, acting became the clearer path,” Meech said.

Meech further reiterated that he’s fully committed to acting. “This is what I know. This is what I’m supposed to be doing. Once I started getting comfortable in the first and second seasons, I knew that I could handle my job. Not just do the role, but embody it,” he said. “I want people to know that I really went to acting school and buckled down and focused. This is something I really want to do. This is not something that I am just trying. I wanted to show people that I could really act.”

Birdman Recalls Predicting Drake’s Success

It’s no secret that Drake is one of the most successful artists out right now, and according to Birdman, he was able to spot his potential from a mile away. Since his debut, the Canadian performer has secured multiple Grammys, AMAs, Billboard awards, and more. Recently, it was also revealed that he was the second highest-selling artist of 2023 in the U.S. He moved close to a whopping 10 million album-equivalent units throughout the year, due in part to his latest album For All The Dogs and subsequent Scary Hours edition.

During a recent appearance on JalenTV, Birdman reflected on his first time meeting Drake. He explained that he felt Drake had something fresh to bring to hip hop with his unique lyrics and vocal abilities, and expected him to become a “legend” in no time. Clearly, the Cash Money founder’s prediction was right on.

Ludacris Announces TV Show Based On His Career, “Insecure” Producer Joins

One of the best rappers of the 2000s is developing a TV show based on his career beginnings, and it’s looking good so far. Moreover, Ludacris officially teased a series based on his origins as a radio DJ in the business, back when he went by Chris Lova Lova. His social media announcement followed a new article from The Hollywood Reporter about the project’s early stages published Monday (January 22). “Inspired By My Real Life Journey Coming Up In The Competitive Music Scene In Atlanta as Radio Personality Chris Lova Lova,” the Word Of Mouf rapper wrote on Instagram. “Stay tuned.”

Furthermore, reports indicate that the TV show -– which is untitled as of writing this article -– will be a half-hour-per-episode dramedy for Paramount’s BET Plus streaming service. Not only that, but Insecure co-creator and The Bernie Mac Show creator Larry Wilmore also joined as executive producer alongside Ludacris. BET Plus shared that the series is about “the misadventures of a sharply drawn ensemble who are willing to do anything and everything to bolster ratings at their hip-hop radio station.” Noah Gardenswartz, one of the writers behind the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video show The Marvelous Ms. Maisel, reportedly hopped on this show’s production to write the script.

Of course, this is not the Atlanta MC’s only recent entertainment venture that excited his fans with more opportunities to show off his artistry. For example, he will judge Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow‘s second season alongside DJ Khaled and Latto. In addition, Eminem will reportedly appear as a special guest judge, whose input should be as interesting and creatively motivated as Ludacris. Last season, the show welcomed Chance The Rapper, Cardi B, and T.I. as its judges.

Meanwhile, you may be more familar with Luda these days thanks to his feud with Katt Williams. That certainly kicked off 2024 with a bizarre and unexpected beef, one that we’re not sure how it will develop over time. Bun B posted a statement on social media, last week, telling people to leave Pimp C’s legacy “the f*ck alone.” Without clarifying what specifically he was upset by, Bun let his frustration show. “Please let Chad rest in peace,” he wrote. “Y’all doing way too much out here right now. Leave that man’s hard earned and well-deserved legacy the f*ck alone.” In a caption to the post, he added: “Please and thank you.”

Fans in the comments quickly began asking what prompted the message. Ebro Darden wrote: “What happened?” Another user added: “Idk why the OG posted this or what’s going on… But NO Pimp C slander will be tolerated.”

Among them are Megan Thee Stallion, Big K.R.I.T., and Killer Mike. “There is no one man I think that can replicate it, right?” he explained during his recent appearance on Drink Champs. “You see some dudes with the personalities. [Like elements of Pimp], I see that in most people. You know, Megan Thee Stallion embodies a lot of what Pimp represented. The Game says that Dr. Dre wasn’t offended by his controversial comments on Kanye West. Speaking with VladTV, Game recalled his infamous remark that West did “more for his career” in two weeks than the legendary producer ever did.

“At that time, Ye was doing a lot for me that he didn’t necessarily have to do. And Ye has always been there for me and always had my back,” he said. “What I can say about Dre is Dre ain’t always had my back — for good reason. Dre has to protect the interests of Dr. Dre. And there’s times when Ye had to protect the interests of Ye, but he didn’t give a f*ck. He’d rather just go to bat for me.”

Fat Joe says he’s warned his children against pursuing a career in hip-hop. He explained why he wants them to look elsewhere for their futures during an appearance at the United Masters x Earn Your Leisure panel at Art Basel in Miami, last week.

“I tell my daughter all the time, she ain’t with it and she ain’t listening to me, but I tell her all the time,” Joe revealed. “She be like, ‘what you want me to be, Dad?’ and I be like, ‘An accountant.’ And she’s like, ‘Why?’ I say, ‘I don’t want us to get robbed no more. I don’t want you to get robbed.’ Because if I die, I’m leaving her some sh*t.”

Cassie Plans To Tour Following Diddy Lawsuit, Ryan Leslie Claims

During a recent chat with TMZ, Ryan Leslie revealed that Cassie may have a major comeback underway, including an upcoming tour. The outlet asked Leslie about the performer’s recent lawsuit against Diddy, which came with a long list of horrific allegations. While he couldn’t provide much insight into that relationship, he shared that things were looking hopeful for the Connecticut native the last time they spoke.

“I think that was much further past after our working relationship,” he said of her allegations against Diddy. “The last conversation we had, she’s planning for a tour.” He didn’t share any additional details of the potential tour, but it’s safe to say that fans would love to see Cassie back on the road.

While Cassie and Diddy reached a settlement shortly after she filed, her suit was followed by three others. “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” her statement on the settlement reads. “I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.” Various women have accused the Bad Boy Records founder of sexual assault, physical and emotional abuse, and more. He has since denied any and all wrongdoing. He accuses his alleged victims of filing as a “money-grab” and claims that “enough is enough.”

As she moves forward from the bombshell lawsuit, Cassie’s been spending her time surrounded by loved ones. Most recently, she was spotted enjoying a meal at Serendipity in NYC accompanied by her husband, Alex Fine. Their two little ones, Frankie and Sunny, also joined them for the outing.
