Cardi B Shuts Down A Stan’s Claims That Offset Cheated With Saweetie

Cardi is back on Twitter after a short hiatus earlier this year, but she’s already had to field increased abuse from Nicki Minaj stans. One apparently hacked TikTok star Bella Poarch’s Twitter to troll her the night of her debut EP release. And now, another has launched outlandish claims that Cardi’s husband Offset cheated on her with fellow rapper Saweetie — a claim for which no evidence was presented, as Cardi herself pointed out while defending herself and her husband.

The account, @SleezeMaraj, began its assault by mentioning Cardi’s upcoming court case for assault, getting Cardi’s attention and setting off the argument. Cardi appears to be well aware of the person behind the account, who she says was recently incarcerated for the theft of a large amount of clothing. After trading a few barbs — no pun intended — back and forth, Cardi presented a screenshot of the New York Court System’s website apparently revealing the mad fan’s extensive rap sheet.

From there, the argument escalated, with @SleezeMaraj accusing Offset of infidelity, straight up asserting that “Offset f*cked Saweetie!” However, Cardi wasn’t having it, noting that each of the account’s previous statements were unsupported by evidence. “First u claim I offered girls 4Ms over a case that the state pick up which is illegal ,then u claim I’m trying make mends wit no receipts, then claim my man was in ur friend face wit no receipts ,now u LYING to go viral,” she wrote, before adding a string of snoozing emojis. She also pulled up another screenshot of a text conversation, suggesting that @SleezeMaraj had built up a reputation for untrustworthy behavior.

As Cardi said in another follow-up tweet, “You makin crazy lies starting shit and putting female rappers in it WIT NO RECEIPTS,no blog ever spoke on this all of a sudden you come out of jail 5 days ago and you made up for lied in 2 hours wit NO RECEIPTS!”

This isn’t the first time Cardi has clapped back at online trolls trying to undermine her relationship with Offset. Last year, she dressed down a fan who claimed she was “supporting” her rapper husband. Meanwhile, for an explanation of how Saweetie got in the debate, look no further than a 2021 interview with Saweetie about a potential collaboration between the two. Since it has been “so long” (not long at all, but on Stan Twitter, time works differently, I guess) since it was first brought up, fans naturally speculate reasons why — and because kids clearly aren’t staying home watching Days Of Our Lives with their grandmothers anymore, they like making up the messiest scenarios they can think of for the entertainment they’re missing.

In any event, Cardi would do well to remember that age-old internet wisdom: Don’t feed the trolls.

Offset Sues Quality Control Music For The Rights To His Solo Music

Music ownership has always been one of the trickiest parts of the music business. Questions often arise about who owns which rights and what kind — for instance, there is a difference in copyrights between the song and the recording of the song. Ultimately, all these debates boil down to two main questions: who has control over the music and who gets paid for it. Today, those questions reared their heads once again, as TMZ reports that Migos member Offset is suing the group’s label, Quality Control Music, for the rights to his solo recordings.

Offset’s lawsuit, which was filed on Tuesday, maintains that Offset negotiated a solo deal with QC’s parent label Motown but after Offset released his new single “5 4 3 2 1,” Quality Control claimed ownership of the single — and the associated percentage of its royalties. With Offset preparing another single with Moneybagg Yo for release this Friday, it appears that he doesn’t want a repeat. The lawsuit was filed as rumors of a possible Migos breakup circulate online due to Offset releasing solo music at the same time as Quavo and Takeoff have released their own music sans Offset.

This isn’t the first time Migos have disputed their contracts with QC in court. The group sued their former attorney in 2019 for a conflict of interest that they say “cheated [the group] out of millions of dollars.” However, that suit was dismissed early last year after presumably coming to an agreement out of court — which possibly involved Offset buying out the remainder of any solo advance he was given. Quality Control CEO Pierre Thomas addressed the previous lawsuit on Twitter, writing, “The last lawsuit was filed publicly and dismissed quietly. Let’s see how this one go. Been to real for all this lame sh*t. Everyone know the real problem.”

Offset, however, seemed to disagree with P, responding, “N****s act like im the problem I paid millions to get my rights back. N**** you black balled me I ain’t said Sh*t one time homie. I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years now I drop and you want ya name on my credit?”

Even Offset’s wife Cardi B got involved, writing in a now-deleted tweet, “Offset bought himself out of his Qc deal after they didn’t want to renegotiate his contract…. I’m tired of people trying to make Offset look like the bad guy ….Enough is enough!”

Meanwhile, according to TMZ, Migos’ contract with QC remains intact, so the group will be releasing under Quality Control for any future releases. Whether they can cooperate again remains to be seen, but if there’s bad blood with the label, that could explain why they seem to have internal friction as well.

DJ Akademiks Says “Radio is Finished” Following ‘The Breakfast Club’ Split

DJ Akademiks Says "Radio is Finished" Following 'The Breakfast Club' Split

DJ Akademiks is ready to lay a tombstone on radio. Speaking with DJ Vlad, Ak revealed it’s a wrap for radio and called the separation of The Breakfast Club “weird.”

“Radio is finished,” Ak opened. “First of all, I think the announcement was kinda weird. I listened to their explanation. They said it was to figure out who was against them but like it didn’t feel like everybody was on the same page. It felt like one person leaving the band but kinda not wanting the band to continue.”

After comparing The Breakfast club split to what would happen if the Migos dissolved, Akademiks would state radio as a whole is over.

“I think radio is just all about selling ads, which pretty much most businesses are, but they’re in such a safe space where it’s like, it’s not in their benefit to really empower. What we saw early Breakfast Club with Charlamagne being so edgy, that’s done. Who put their brand behind someone like that like a big company at this point?

Do you agree with Akademiks?

Speaking of Offset, Quavo and Takeoff. Those Migos breakup rumors? All cap. DJ Akademiks caught up with TMZ and revealed the breakup rumors have no legs.

“They might be going through a small disagreement or whatever,” Ak said. “I think that they’re angling it because, you know, Takeoff and Quavo just put out a song, so they’re kind of letting it lie, letting the questions linger or something like that.”

Akademiks added, “But at the end of the day, they’re family. Offset confirmed that to me, too. Maybe if it was the City Girls that unfollowed each other, but the Migos? Come on, I just can’t see a gangster group — like, the only sign of trouble is them hitting unfollow.”

Is Cardi B’s New Face Tattoo Real?

There’s a chance you’ve heard about Cardi B‘s new face tattoo. Last week, specifically on August 14, tattoo artist Robinson De Los Santos posted a video of himself applying some red ink to the famous rapper’s jawline on the left side of her face, writing (translated via Instagram), “Work today cardi B.”

This naturally blew up, and Cardi fan pages shared a photo of De Los Santos and Cardi together, with the red tattoo somewhat visible on Cardi’s face, close to her ear. Though it’s hard to make out what the tattoo actually is because of the angle of the picture, it looks like text. And yes, it’s very real.

This follows her January tweet that expressed her desire of getting a face tattoo. “Random but ….I’m 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face….I really really wanna do it!” she wrote. In response to a fan saying they wanted to get a tattoo by their ear, Cardi added, “I want mine on my jaw.” Congratulations to Cardi for going out there and getting what she wants! Hopefully more photos will arrive soon and give us a clearer idea of what it is.

Cardi B Now Has A Face Tattoo

Cardi B has one of the most distinct tattoos in all of entertainment, the gigantic peacock piece on her leg and hip. Now, she’s gotten some new ink that can’t be covered up by a dress or pair of pants: Her first face tattoo.

Cardi has yet to share any photos or videos of it online, but on August 14, tattoo artist Robinson De Los Santos posted a video of himself applying some red ink to Cardi’s jawline on the left side of her face, writing (translated via Instagram), “Work today cardi B.” Cardi fan pages have also shared a photo of De Los Santos and Cardi together, with the red tattoo somewhat visible on Cardi’s face, close to her ear.

It’s hard to make out what the tattoo is, but it appears to be text. It may be her son’s name, Wave. The photo seems to be a selfie, and selfies taken by most phones present a horizontally flipped view of reality, mirroring what you see on the screen; This one seems to have been flipped in such a way, as the video shows the tattoo being applied on the left side of her face, while in the photo, the ink appears on the right side of the face.

So, flipping the photo, that first character does look like it could be a W, while the rest of Cardi’s jawline is covered by a strand of hair, obscuring any potential additional ink. Furthermore, in January, Cardi tweeted, “Random but ….I’m 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face….I really really wanna do it!”
