Sexyy Red has revealed her desire to make a TV cameo, recently tweeting out “How I get on Abbott Elementary?” The show, created by and starring Quinta Brunson, centers around a fictional underfunded Philadelphia elementary school. However, the show’s third season included an unexpected time jump after Brunson’s character left Abbott to accept an administrative role with the school district. It wouldn’t be the show’s first musical cameo. Season 3 also included a multi-episode arc centered on Vince Staples.

Furthermore, Red’s desire to land TV spots is in line with a career plan she shared with Billboard last year. “I’m going to just be getting richer, bigger, more trendier. I’m going to be everywhere. I’m going to be in it for the long haul, [but] not even on purpose, though. Even if I try to stop rapping, they’re going to take some sh-t, turn it into something, put me on the blogs, make it something it doesn’t even have to be, so Imma be here for a minute,” Red declared.

Sexyy Red Starts A Twitter Twerk Train, Teases New Music

Meanwhile, Red has also been utilizing her social media presence in other ways recently. In a series of posts in early March, she riled up her fans in a number of ways. First, Red began a “twerk thread”, encouraging fans to post their own twerking videos below hers. People responded ecstatically, quickly filling the replies with bouncing booty. However, Red also teased that she had new music on the way to get her musical 2024 underway.

Of course, Red twerking is nothing new. Last year, she joined the Penn State whiteout at Beaver Stadium. In a brief clip shared by Daily Loud, Red shakes her ass as the announcer hypes up the sold-out stadium. Adhering to the tradition of a whiteout game, Red had donned a white jacket and pants along with a blonde wig. While Red might be from St. Louis, it’s clear that she couldn’t resist hitting up the Nittany Lions for their annual event. With Red in attendance, Penn State shut out a hapless Iowa side 31-0.

Chrisean Rock Graces K Suave Music Video, They Flex Their Status

Chrisean Rock and K Suave are a hot social media item right now, and just took their flexing online to a next step. Moreover, the former appeared in the latter’s music video for “Cloud9 2,” which is a rage-tinged trap banger with all the rap video checkmarks: cars, mansions, women, and more. The two have been pretty tight-knit in the last couple of weeks online, which has caused a lot of conversation given the Baddies star’s previous relationship with Blueface. Whether it’s a legitimate relationship or just something for the cameras- as disingenuous or disrespectful as that sounds- is up to time to tell.

Furthermore, that’s worth mentioning because Chrisean Rock was tangled up with Lil Mabu recently, which drew similar rumors. As such, we don’t want to make any immediate assumptions about whether this is a fully romantic bond or two artists pursuing their bag as they should. Regardless, at least it’s given K Suave’s music and career a bit of a publicity boost in areas that he might not have found an audience in otherwise. With pundits asking if Messi can be stopped ahead of his league debut on August 26, the Argentine superstar is on top of the soccer world. But now he’s stepping into the world of music. This has been teased for a while. Earlier this month, Colombian-born singer Maluma posted a picture posing with Messi at DRV PNK Stadium, both wearing a Messi shirt.

On August 24, Maluma dropped his new album, Don Juan. Maluma’s last three albums were all top-40 hits on the Billboard 200 while his last four have all been top-two on the Billboard Top Latin Albums. His last charting single in the US was 2020’s “Hawái”, which featured The Weeknd. His work has gone 12 times platinum. Additionally, 2018’s F.A.M.E. went diamond. He also played amateur soccer as a child.

Messi Cameos In “Trofeo”

Messi’s cameo comes in the video for “Trofeo”, which features Yandel. Around the three-minute mark, Maluma heads to DRV PNK Park and walks through the player’s tunnel onto the pitch. He is then met at the center circle by Messi, who is carrying a large trophy. He passes the trophy to the musician and they embrace. The rest of the video continues with Maluma performing on the pitch, trophy in hand.

As mentioned, Messi will finally make his league debut this weekend. Inter Miami have lost eight of their 11 league matches and haven’t won a league match since May 13. His first match will be a road game against the New York Red Bulls, who are currently in 11th place in the Eastern Conference. However, his MLS home debut will be against Nashville on August 30. Lil Yachty & Kai Cenat Star In New Trailer For Short Buddy Cop Film, “Global Pursuit”

The streamer world is making its way into the film industry, and leading the way is Kai Cenat. Moreover, the official trailer just dropped for his new short film, Global Pursuit, in which he’s the lead role in a buddy cop action-comedy. In addition, it stars a massive fan of his, Ray, who met the social media star during a recent Japan trip and hit it off so much that they teamed up for this project. It’s a formula and comedic style akin to films like Rush Hour, but one that looks pretty entertaining and well-crafted. If nothing else, it looks like Kai and Ray really enjoyed themselves in the making of it, and it’s still an exciting move.

Not only that, but there’s a Lil Yachty reference at one point in the trailer where someone confuses Kai Cenat for him and stars singing “Strike.” Maybe a lot of fans saw this and thought that it was just a little nod to his streaming guest. However, it didn’t stop there, as at the very end of the trailer, a group of frantic women run past a man reading a newspaper. He puts the news down, and it’s revealed to be the Atlanta artist, and he disregards the commotion and gets back to his reading.

These days, there’s a lot of reasons as to why Lil Yachty would want to both work with Kai Cenat and put his name out there as much as possible. He told the outlet: “That was fun too. It was another door to open, to peek through. Whether there is some more opportunities to do things like this in the future, it just makes a light bulb go. But it wasn’t difficult to integrate. I was coming by for a screening and Phil and Chris were just like, ‘come by to the screening an hour early, and we could just run some lines downstairs.’ But they ended up writing these lines for a Metro Spider character, which really blew my mind. And at this point, I’m still not thinking it’s going to land in the movie. So we just read the lines before the screening one morning, and everybody just bust out laughing. But then for them to animate the character and put him in the movie with my dreads and the bandana, it was just so surreal. Especially coming as I’m a lifelong Marvel and Spider-Man fan.”

As for Metro’s soundtrack for the film, the project features a star-studded list of guest appearances that include Swae Lee, Lil Wayne, Offset, ASAP Rocky, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, and many more. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is in theaters now. Following the release, Metro confirmed that he intends his collaborative album with Future to be his next endeavor.

“Enjoyed every second of this,” Harlow captioned the clip. Lil Dicky responded in the comments section, “This is what life’s all about.” Fans shared plenty of laughs in the comments of the post as did Harlow and Dicky who struggled to keep it together in the blooper reel.

The Dave appearance for Harlow comes after the release of his feature film debut, White Men Can’t Jump. While promoting the Hulu film, Harlow remarked that he’s caught the acting bug. “Through this film I was able to gain my confidence as an actor, and to me, this shit is not a side quest,” he said, as caught by PEOPLE. “This isn’t a side mission that I’m tacking on just to keep the entertainer thing going and make some extra money.”

He continued: “I really got the bug and fell in love with this, and I’m developing a deep passion for the craft of this the same way I had in music. I don’t want it to be a side hustle. I want to full-on go after this, and I’m going after it and I’m going to continue to do more.” Harlow also described the Los Angeles set as being like “summer camp or school” each day. He further admitted that “acting is way harder than music, if you ask me; way more grueling, so I loved the challenge and so grateful that this was the start.”

Despite being so busy on the acting front, Harlow still had time to drop a new album, last month. He released his third studio album, Jackman, on April 28 to mixed reviews from critics.

Lizzo Flexes Flute Skills In Upcoming Episode Of “The Simpsons”

Detroit performer Lizzo has announced that her cameo appearance in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons is airing soon. The episode, titled “Homer’s Adventures Through the Windshield Glass,” is set to air May 21 on Fox. The artist shared a post on Instagram of her guest appearance on the show. The clip shows an animated Lizzo performing a version of The Simpsons‘ theme song alongside Lisa. She captioned the post, “Every Icon has been on @thesimpsons — now I can add my name to the list!” Adding, “Thank you to the whole team for making this a dream come true.” Lizzo further captioned the post, “yes I’m wearing @yitty and playing @sashabefluting.”

The Simpsons writer Tim Long wrote a song created for Lizzo’s appearance, titled “It Was Marge, Bitch,” after the show’s producers reached out to her. Long shared with Entertainment Weekly that, “the bitch in question is Homer.” He went on to say, “I can’t give you too much context without giving you too much story, but it is really in her wheelhouse.” He complimented the performer, saying “she sang the hell out of it.”

Lizzo Loves The Simpsons

Being a long-time supporter of the TV series, Lizzo’s Marge Simpson Halloween costume also went viral last Halloween. She also showcased another costume of her dressed as Chrisean Rock, sparking a response from Rock who said she “[didn’t] know if it’s a joke or what’s up.” Lizzo shared that she believes she is shadow-banned on TikTok last week, sharing a video saying, “I’m officially shadow banned, because how did I post this on Instagram and it already has 135 thousand views?” She went on to say, “[TikTok is] getting wack.”

Earlier this month, Lizzo had to postpone a few scheduled stops on her “Special” tour due to getting sick. The singer took to Instagram to tell fans that her “body is weak, and [she has] chills, and [her] head hurts.” She later shared with fans that she ultimately tested negative for COVID-19, but tested positive for strep throat. Last month, the artist teamed up with popular TikToker Aliyah to promote her shapewear brand, Yitty. Known for her body-positivity, Lizzo’s brand Yitty is incredibly size-inclusive, with sizes ranging from “6X to Xs.”

Metro Boomin To Appear In “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”

Metro Boomin will be making an appearance in the upcoming film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. He made the announcement on social media, last week, sharing a clip of his character from a new TV spot. Metro previously revealed that he is handling the soundtrack to the sequel for 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Writer Phil Lord discussed the decision to bring in Metro during a post on the official Spider-Verse account. “That’s a high bar to clear,” Lord wrote. “So, for this next movie we brought in some reinforcements. This time we are working with legendary Metro Boomin. If anybody is going to be able to make something that feels like it’s Miles’ experience, that guy knows what he’s doing.”

As for what fans can expect from the new film, co-director Kemp Powers recently explained that they’ll be bringing in lots of new and old characters for the story. “The new Spider-Verse movie coming to your theaters in just over two months is a continuation of the story of Miles Morales,” Powers said told the audience at CinemaCon. “In this film, we’re going to explore new dimensions and bring in lots of characters old and new, but they still relate to the same emotional journey of miles and his family.”

The star of the film, Shamiek Moore, added: “It’s been over a year after the events of the first move. Miles is still trying to figure out how to be a superhero. In the first film he learned that anyone can wear the mask and in this film, Miles discovers that it’s how you wear the mask that really makes you a hero. Rick Ross & Killer Mike Get Some Laughs On “Dave”

Dave Burd, a.k.a. Lil Dicky, crafted one of the most successful hip-hop-adjacent shows of the moment with his series “Dave.” Now on tour with rapper GaTa, the show’s latest episode involves some hilarious cameos from Rick Ross and Killer Mike that have people quite impressed with their comedy skills. Moreover, the plot revolves around Dave and GaTa trying to get Rozay’s stolen chair back and handle potential Twitter beef with one half of Run The Jewels. Not only that, but Usher and Lil Gotit also make comical appearances throughout the episode. All in all, fans seem to agree that the comedic timing and chemistry in this episode was more than entertaining.

Of course, someone of Rick Ross’ charisma and personality makes for a glove-like fit on a show like “Dave.” One of his more recent and strange antics involved his buffalo that escaped from his ranch in Fayetteville, Georgia. While many expressed concern and even criticism, the Miami rapper dispelled all that with a series of funny, thankful, and reassuring clips. When you live that large, you’ve got to learn to not take yourself as seriously, and it’s clear that he has a lot of fun with it.

Furthermore, Killer Mike is one of the faces of Atlanta, whether in music or larger society and politics. As such, it’s only fitting that a figure of his caliber appears in an episode centered around the city. What’s more is that Mike will make a return to music quite soon, although it was nice to see him expand his resumé on “Dave.” Fans are particularly excited because he teased features from Dave Chappelle, Lil Wayne, and the one and only André 3000.

Despite his incredible TV success, Dave (or Lil Dicky, in this case) said that he wants to return to the mic soon. He elaborated that he feels misrepresented by his earlier work, with leaned towards comedy with less warm reception than his television outing. Regardless, considering his career trajectory and growth, it should make for quite the interesting return.
