Jung Kook Crosses Over Into Hip Hop Again With Jack Harlow On “3D”

While it took until Doja Cat’s “Paint The Town Red” a few weeks ago for a rap song to top the Hot 100 in 2023, it wasn’t the first time a rapper appeared on the #1 spot this year. That’s because earlier in the year Latto teamed up with BTS member and K-pop superstar Jung Kook on the track “Seven.” The song immediately shot up to the very top of the charts debuting at number one in its first week.

Now, Jung Kook is returning to the well of collaborating with American rappers with his new single “3D.” The track features an appearance from Jack Harlow who is no stranger to the Hot 100 with mega-hits like “First Class” and “What’s Poppin.” The pair team up for an incredibly smooth new collaboration with a perfect pop rap beat. In his verse Harlow stays mostly in his lane flexing his appeal to women and his hometown. Unsurprisingly, the song is off to a strong start commercially with over 10 million views on its music video in under 24 hours. Check out the song and video below.

Jung Kook And Jack Harlow See In “3D”

While Jung Kook has only dropped two new songs this year, he’s made the most of them. Jack Harlow on the other hand released his new album Jackman earlier this year. The short project also came with a short turnaround from his previous record which dropped just last year. Jackman spawned hit songs like “They Don’t Love It” and “Common Ground,” though neither approached the smash success of “First Class.” What do you think of Jung Kook and Jack Harlow’s new collab “3D”? Let us know in the comment section below.

Jack Harlow To Appear On New Song With BTS Member Jung Kook

Earlier this year, Jack Harlow released his new album Jackman. The project was short but it spawned hit songs like “They Don’t Love It” and “Common Ground.” Now, Harlow is back with new music coming soon and he’s teaming up with a surprise collaborator. BTS member and K-pop mega-star Jung Hook has become a surprise ally of Harlow’s. Across the past week, the pair have been interacting on Twitter. That included a picture Harlow shared earlier today of Jung Kook in his home of Louisville, Kentucky.

Over the weekend Jung Kook performed at Global Citizen Fest. During the show, he brought out Latto, another rapper he’s collaborated with this year. The pair teamed up on the song “Seven” which immediately shot up to number one on the Hot 100. The song made Latto the first rapper to hit the number-one spot on the chart in all of 2023 until Doja Cat and Drake later joined her. Now, Jack Harlow is looking for some of the same success. Earlier today Jung Kook dropped a trailer for the pair’s new single “3D.” Fans won’t have to wait long to hear the full thing either, as it’s scheduled to drop later this week. Check out the trailer below.

Jack Harlow And Jung Kook Collab Dropping Friday

Last month, Jack Harlow released another new visual accompaniment to his new album. The first song on the record’s second half, “Denver,” got a fitting video full of spare wilderness and mountain scenery. It was the third song from the album to receive a music video following “They Don’t Love It” and “Gang Gang Gang.”

Later this year, Harlow is going on a 6-date tour of his entire home state of Kentucky. The shows are taking place across the state in late November and early December. What do you think of Jack Harlow teaming up with Jung Kook for a new song? Let us know in the comment section below.

Jungkook Performs “Seven” With Latto At Global Citizen, Reveals Release Date Of Jack Harlow Collab

BTS member Jungkook was one of the main draws on day one of Global Citizen Fest. With numerous members of The ARMY filling Central Park, the BTS star shone in his solo set. During his performance, Jung thanked the throngs of fans for coming out despite the rain in NYC. He also gave fans a special guest when he brought out Latto to perform their hit collab, “Seven”. “Wow, that was a nice surprise, right?” Jungkook said at the song’s end. Latto said to him, “Thank you, JK. Shout out to the ARMY!”

“Seven” was one of the hits of the summer. The unapologetically horny and catching song spent a week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hit number one in various other countries around the globe. However, fans were also treated to a tease about Jungkook’s next solo endeavor. His set ended with a cryptic visual of his name next to the word “3D”. However, The ARMY didn’t have to wait long for more information.

Jungkook Collab With Jack Harlow Coming September 29

After the show, a press release was made about what “3D” is and what fans can expect. “Jung Kook’s second solo single, ‘3D (feat. Jack Harlow),’ is a Pop R&B track with clever expressions of feelings toward an unattainable person from the perspectives of first, second, and third dimensions. Get ready to meet an even more mature side of Jung Kook following ‘Seven (feat. Latto).’ Jack Harlow has featured in this track, bringing his unique rap style and adding zest to the song,” read an official note on South Korea fansite Weverse.

“3D” drops on September 29 at midnight ET. Hours before the reveal, Harlow had tweeted “I’ll fly u from Korea to Kentucky” as he seemingly hinted at the collab. Furthermore, BIGHIT Music also shared clips from the “hero film” (short music video promotions) for the song. However, neither of them feature Harlow and only focus on Jungkook himself. Are you excited for this collab? Let us know in the comments.

“Bongos” BTS: Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion Shamelessly Twerk In The Tropics

Cardi B is certainly taking her time with her sophomore album, as Charlamagne Tha God pointed out on The Breakfast Club this past week. However, that’s not because the mother of two lacks creative vision. Rather, it’s due to the fact that she’s a perfectionist with a larger-than-life idea she’s bringing to fruition in her own time. On Friday (September 8), she and Megan Thee Stallion reunited for their second joint effort, “Bongos,” which came alongside a music video that Bardi revealed cost an astounding $2 million to make.

Reactions to the track have been pouring in across the internet all weekend. Some, like Joe Budden, made their incredibly negative feelings known. Others, like Lizzo, have been posting videos twerking along to the catchy anthem. Despite what trolls and critics have to say, it’s obvious that “Bongos” meant a lot to Cardi, and working with Thee Stallion again was a special experience for both of them.

Cardi B Shares More “Bongos” BTS

In behind-the-scenes photos and videos that have been appearing on social media, both artists can’t stop smiling and laughing. Of course, their constant booty shaking is noteworthy as well, though it’s really nothing new from either Cardi or Thee Stallion.

Now that she’s crossed another single with the Houston Hottie off her bucket list, the New Yorker shared in a recent interview that she hopes to release more raunchy music with her husband. The pair previously joined forced on “Lick,” “Clout,” and “Drip,” just to name a few titles, and we’re curious to see what they’ve been working on for us next.

BTS’ RM Is ‘Not Apologizing’ For Sharing Frank Ocean’s ‘Bad Religion’ On Instagram Despite Claims Of Islamophobia

BTS’ RM has experienced both ends of the fan reception spectrum in recent weeks. During an August Weverse livestream, RM confirmed that BTS will ends its hiatus and “be joining together again” in 2025. BTS Army were predictably thrilled. But, around the same time, RM faced backlash for posting Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange track “Bad Religion” to his Instagram Story because some felt it perpetuated Islamophobia.

On Wednesday, August 30, RM defended himself during yet another Weverse livestream (as captured by several fan accounts).

“OK, guys, I know what you’re talking about,” RM said. “You just keep telling me that I insulted a religion. But I didn’t. There was not any intention or purpose to insult a religion. I respect every beliefs and religions. That’s all I could say. So, please don’t — I know what’s going on in my Instagram. I can see, but I never — there was no such any purpose or, like, at least one percent of my heart or intention to insult a religion, OK?”

Per Billboard, RM continued, “Guys, it’s a song, OK? I’m not apologizing. I’m just saying. I have my own soul. I’m 30 years old. I can express my true thoughts. Please! The word is the word. It is what it is. Please believe my words from myself. Not just guessing, pretending and assuming, OK?”

In the chorus of “Bad Religion,” Ocean sings, “He said, ‘Allahu Akbar’ / I told him, ‘Don’t curse me’ / ‘But boy, you need prayer’ / I guess it couldn’t hurt me / If it brings me to my knees / It’s a bad religion.”

In 2017, CNN contextualized the meaning of “Allahu Akbar,” which means “God is greater,” as “a powerful declaration used by Muslims on many occasions and in many prayers.”

Jung Kook Called Latto The ‘Perfect Fit’ For His New Single ‘Seven,’ Which He Performed On ‘GMA’

Jung Kook is a man of very few words. Instead, it seems, the “Dreamers” singer would rather pour it into his music. But during his recent appearance on Good Morning America, the BTS star spoke about his new single, “Seven,” featuring Latto. After inclement weather shut down his live performances as part of the network’s Summer Concert series, he entered the studio to chat with anchor Juju Chang.

When asked about working with Grammy-nominated rapper, the musician told Chang, “It was amazing. She was the perfect fit for the song,” adding, “[Overall,] I love how the song turned out.”

Fans aren’t the only ones that support “Seven,” according to Jung. The recording artist confessed that his fellow BTS members have heard the track giving it their stamp of approval. “They loved it,” Jung said.

“Seven” is a follow-up to his 2022 single “Dreamers” off the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 soundtrack and his appearance on Charlie Puth’s song “Left And Right.”

Before the interview concluded, the entertainer was sure to passionately thank his devoted fans for, in some cases, camping out in the New York City streets for the week for the chance to see him live in Central Park.

Latto Is Teaming Up With Jungkook Of BTS For New Single

BTS fans have had an eventful 2023. While the band hasn’t released a new project since last year’s Proof they did drop a new single last month. “Take Two” has already become a major hit in just over a month, racking up over 100 million streams on Spotify. But what’s really been keeping the BTS Army busy is the various solo releases from members. Jimin alone has dropped the massive hit song “Like Crazy” which debuted at #1 on the Hot 100. The EP it was attached to Face also soared up the charts following its release. Jimin was also a part of “Angel Pt.1” and “Pt. 2” from this year’s Fast And Furious soundtrack.

Now the Army is getting even more to chew on. For weeks Jungkook has been teasing the release of a new song called “Seven.” Earlier today he dropped an official trailer for the track on YouTube which ended with a major reveal. The song contains a feature and it totally recontextualizes the meaning of its name. Latto, who released her aptly titled album 777 last year will join Jungkook on the track. She quote tweeted an announcement of the song and shouted out the BTS Army.

Latto And Jungkook Join Forces

If the song becomes a hit, like most BTS adjacent tracks do it would be another successful drop for Latto. Earlier this year she dropped “Put It On Da Floor” and while the single didn’t take off at first, it did after a remix. “Put It On Da Floor Again” saw Latto teaming up with Cardi B and the track went on to peak at number 13 on the Hot 100.

After the success of “Put It On Da Floor Again,” Latto thanked Cardi B. The gift she gave the “I Like It” rapper turned heads online when she posted it. Cardi was gifted a 10k Chanel bag, more specifically a blue variant that is already sold out online. What do you think of Latto teaming up with Jungkook of BTS? Let us know in the comment section below.

J. Cole And J-Hope Showed Each Other Love In A New ‘On The Street’ Behind-The-Scenes Video

In the midst of executive producing the soundtrack for Creed III and planning Dreamville Fest 2023, J. Cole is still finding time to put his pen to pad to drop new music. His latest featured verse on international music star J-Hope’s new single “On The Street” is the ultimate hip hop/K-pop crossover. However, as J-Hope revealed in the behind-the-scenes video, this collaboration was nearly a decade in the making.

During the video, J-Hope revealed, “When I started listening to music, the first artist I listened to was J. Cole. Being able to work with J. Cole after 10 years as a fan, I’m so happy. It’s just all new, and I still can’t believe it.”

J. Cole didn’t let any potential language barrier stop him from sharing his admiration for J-Hope. Working with a translator, the rapper said, “It’s a blessing to be here with y’all.” The pair initially met back at Lollapalooza 2022 and have kept an eye on each other’s work.

Inside the comment section for the official music video, fans are raving about the collaboration. In fact, the most liked comment reads, “Wow, unexpected. J Cole is my icon. I wouldn’t have thought of seeing him collaborating with a BTS member, but that is great glad it happened.”

Joe Budden Accuses J. Cole Of “Pandering,” Claims He Lied About YouTube Release

It’s been a hot season for Dreamville and J. Cole, but at least one of their much-talked-about releases didn’t earn Joe Budden’s praise. Last week, Dreamville helped usher in the official arrival of Creed III by sharing the soundtrack produced and hosted by Cole’s label. Not only was the film yet another success in the franchise, raking in $100 million opening weekend, but its accompanying music was all the rave. As Michael B. Jordan celebrates his latest blockbuster hit, J. Cole was also a hot topic due to his surprise release with BTS’s J-Hope. It’s a collaboration that Budden criticized.

“J. Cole’s pandering,” said Budden. “He got a bag for that YouTube trick he pulled on y’all, too.” He was talking about Cole’s single “procrastination (broke),” which he released on YouTube from a producer who shared a “J. Cole-type beat.” It was promoted as if Cole was digging through YouTube and came across this producer. However, Budden revealed that the musician is one of the most famous producers on the platform. He repeated, “It’s pandering.”

Joe Budden Reveals Truth About “J. Cole Type Beat”

Not all of his cohorts agreed, but that didn’t stop Budden from sharing his thoughts. “Nothing wrong! Y’all swear I hate people. And I don’t. I love J. Cole, so don’t spread that,” he continued. “But the story that they put out versus what they f*ck was really happening, like stop. I’m just not stupid. I’m sorry that so many of y’all hate me because I’m not stupid and I can see through what your publicist is pumping you, what your lawyers is pumpin’ in you. The label, the A&R is pumpin’ in you. I can see through that stuff.”

The cohosts defended Cole against the theory of faking the funk for the public. Budden entertained the idea but said it could have been true “if four or five months later, you didn’t pop up with the K-Pop guy who’s supposed to be in the army.” He is, of course, referencing J-Hope. Then, they played the song, which prompted Budden to get up from his chair and put his face directly into the camera lenses. Then, he got a whiteboard and wrote “co*ns” and showed it off to his team, who couldn’t stop laughing.

All For Laughs

It seems he was referencing his cohorts in the background praising the Cole J-Hope collaboration. Everyone laughed it off and had a good time before returning to their debate. Check it out above.
