“You ain’t fall in love with me / You fell in love with the man I could be / You ain’t fall in love with me / You fell in love with your vision of me,” sings Faiyaz on the song’s chorus.

Elsewhere in the song, Faiyaz notes that while he considers himself a kind person, he isn’t responsible for the way anyone else feels.

“I can ease your mind if you goin’ through somethin’ / That don’t mean I can cure depression / I free my night if you wanna do somethin’ / But I’m takin’ your direction,” he sings.

In the song’s accompanying visual, Faiyaz is seen going on a drive in the woods with a young woman. They park the car and hang out in the woods for a bit, and while he is protective of the woman, he reminds her not to get her hopes up, in terms of romance.

However, a few days ago he announced via his Instagram that he was hitting the road on a world tour. The F*CK THE WORLD IT’S A WASTELAND tour will begin its first leg starting July 16th. While we all know Brent for his nostalgic, dreamy, and toxic sounds, however, he’s also a savvy businessman.

According to HipHopnmore.com, Brent Faiyaz is making headlines with another big announcement. Faiyaz is inking a new partnership with Steve Stout’s UnitedMasters. The two plan to form a creative agency that acts as a hub for the R&B star to do his independent work from now on. Although it wasn’t a part of the press release, Billboard revealed that the deal is estimated around $50 million. This is a major announcement , due to many starting to believe that Brent Faiyaz wasn’t independent as he claims to be.

Furthermore, Steve Stout had this to say about the recent partnership with Brent Faiyaz. “Brent Faiyaz is one of the most prolific Independent artists today and we are extremely excited to embark on this new partnership with him,” the music exec began. “It’s been inspiring to watch his journey as an artist over the years and with this partnership we look to further amplify his creative vision and support his entrepreneurial ambitions.” Thanks to the partnership, UnitedMasters staff and resources are all available to Faiyaz. Seeing what the “Wasting Time” singer will do with his new creative space will be dope.

However, there aren’t any additional details regarding the new partnership. Nor has the name of the creative agency been revealed. Everything is currently under wraps. Outside of popping out to the occasional fashion show, Brent Faiyaz has kept a pretty low profile. Since dropping his 2022 album Wasteland, we haven’t heard much from the toxic R&B star. Last summer Brent Faiyaz had the game eating out the palm of his hand. From songs with Drake and Tyler The Creator to acting appearances on shows like Rap Shit, this guy is everywhere. It’s no secret that Brent has hit pay dirt with his sound that makes one reminisce of 90s R&B and sounds from that golden era. However, many were wondering when we would see the singer on the road.

Earlier today, Brent Faiyaz announced on his Instagram that he would be heading back on the road with a world tour called F*ck The World It’s A WASTELAND Tour. During this tour, he will be doing songs from his 2019 EP F*ck The World (great tape) and his new album this summer. Brent’s kicking off the summer with a bang. Since the news has come out, many fans have been spazzin’ in the comments trying to figure out all the details. Haven’t seen this many people scramble for a tour since Drake and Beyoncé dropped their tour dates (this is special). Brent Faiyaz Announced His ‘F*ck The World, It’s A Wasteland’ Tour With The Video For ‘Rolling Stone’

Brent Faiyaz’s last two albums, F*ck The World and Wasteland, are getting a joint tour. Kicking off in July, the aptly titled F*ck The World, It’s A Wasteland Tour will see the Maryland singer traverse not only the United States, hitting such events as Broccoli City Festival, Central Park Summerstage, and Sol Blume along the way, but also Europe and the UK through the end of the year.

Brent Faiyaz Shuts Down Major Label Deals In Favour Of Staying Independent

It’s been quiet on Brent Faiyaz’s front since he delivered WASTELAND back in 2022. Thankfully, the R&B crooner came back to Instagram on Monday (May 1) with some major news, which he’s only been able to top in the time since. Not only does he have a collaboration with Marshmello dropping as his first single of the year on Friday (May 5), but he’s also heading out on tour later this summer and for most of the fall. The F*ck The World It’s A Wasteland tour will kick off on July 16th, followed by stops in North American cities like Chicago, Toronto, Miami, Houston, Oakland, and Los Angeles before he heads overseas to the United Kingdom for more fun.

While in Europe, Faiyaz is set to hit up Glasgow, London, Stockholm Copenhagen, Berlin, Milan, and Barcelona, among other beautiful cities before closing things out with a final concert in Paris on November 19th. Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 AM PDT, while presale will take place on Thursday (May 4). While fans of the “ALL MINE” artist wait in the online queue to purchase their passes, they’ll at least be able to stream his upcoming “Fell In Love” single.

Brent Faiyaz Announces 2023 Tour Dates

Brent shared a teaser of the highly anticipated song earlier this week, along with a video that sees him seemingly putting the charm on a love interest. “You ain’t fall in love with me,” he sings. “You fell in love with the man I could be.” As always, the 27-year-old proved that he knows his demographic all too well and that plenty of women who have a habit of seeing potential, rather than what’s right in front of them, will certainly be un their feelings over this one.

Along with all of those announcements, it was also revealed by Variety that the Maryland native has turned down several major label record deals in favour of remaining independent. He’ll be partnering with UnitedMasters for the time being, who hope to “further amplify his creative vision and support his entrepreneurial ambitions” through their work together. Sol Blume 2023 Has Been Rescheduled To August, Amid Unprecedented Flooding In Sacramento

Due to recent storms and floods in the Sacramento area, Sol Blume has been forced to reschedule. Today, the festival has announced it will take place at Sacramento’s Discovery Park in August.

In a statement, festival organizers revealed that fans who purchased tickets will be able to use their tickets on the new dates. They also noted that they are working with local hotels to make adjusting their reservations as seamless as possible. A section on the festival’s website had been launched to assist fans with ticketing options and rescheduling their hotel reservations.

Many of the performers on the original slate will perform on the new dates.

On Saturday, August 19, fans will be able to enjoy performances by Brent Faiyaz, Ella Mai, Isaiah Rashad, Joey Badass, Alex Isley, and more.

The next day, August 20, Chlöe, Teyana Taylor, Kehlani, Coco Jones, Muni Long, PinkPantheress will take the stage.

In addition to seeing these incredible performers, fans will also be able to participate in family-friendly activities, wellness experiences, and immersive art activations. They will also be able to shop from local vendors from across the Sacramento region and support small businesses.

Broccoli City Festival’s 2023 Lineup Includes Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, And Lil Uzi Vert

Broccoli City Festival has long been one of Washington, DC’s premiere music festivals, highlighting both local talent and rising stars of the wider music world since its inception in 2013. This year’s lineup continues that tradition, including headliners Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Outside of the headliners, the 2023 edition of the Broccoli City Festival also includes Afropop breakouts Asake and Rema, hip-hop it-girls like City Girls, GloRilla, Ice Spice, and Lola Brooke, and R&B standouts Coco Jones and Mariah The Scientist. Naturally, local acts like Fat Trel, Backyard Band, UCB, and more will also appear, with a battle of the bands highlighting the regional go-go sound.

The festival is set to take place on July 15th and 16th at the RFK Festival Grounds in Washington, DC. Tickets and more information can be found here.

Last year’s festival was headlined by Ari Lennox and Summer Walker, with appearances from 21 Savage, Don Toliver, Jeezy, Lil Durk, Masego, Tems, and Wizkid. However, it was also struck by controversy when Wale, widely considered the patron saint of DC hip-hop, declared he was pulling out of the show shortly after its lineup was announced due to feeling “disrespected” by his low placement on the flyer. However, the dispute was quickly resolved, with the flyer being updated to include “and friends” to reflect the outreach he does for local acts.
