Last week, Usher kicked off his eagerly anticipated “Past Present Future” tour with an unforgettable performance in Washington, D.C. Originally scheduled to begin earlier this month, the tour was pushed back after the hitmaker suffered a neck injury during rehearsals. Luckily, it looks like he had a speedy recovery, and wasted no time getting back to giving fans what they love.
While Usher has already impressed countless supporters with his tour, he himself recently became starstruck onstage after spotting none other than Free Marie Wright in the crowd. In a clip from his recent stop in Boston, he’s seen putting the show on hold to give her a shoutout. “Hold on, hold on, hold on. Is that Free I see?” he asked, looking shocked. He then stepped down to greet her, putting his appreciation for the former 106 & Park host on full display.
Free shared a clip of the wholesome moment on Instagram today, thanking the city and praising Usher for the show. “About last night .@usher gave the kid so much love in the hometown! fur and the GRILLS ! Beantown I LOVE you back infinity Thank YOU and Goodnight,” she captioned the post. As expected, fans in The Shade Room‘s comments section are commending Usher for giving Free the shoutout she deserves. “FREE is a legend and nobody matches what her and AJ did for music culture on 106,” one Instagram user writes. “She’s a living legend !!!” another notes.
Fans certainly can’t blame Usher for doing a double-take, and loved to see him giving Free her flowers. What do you think of Usher’s reaction to spotting Free Marie Wright in the crowd at his recent tour stop in Boston? Can you blame him for stopping the show to give her a shoutout? Nicki Minaj is a legendary performer and is full of surprises. On Wednesday night (April 10), Nicki made a stop in Boston as part of her Pink Friday 2 tour. However, the night was everything but average. The rap queen brought out a lineup of talented women including JT, BIA, Akbar V, Katie Got Bandz, and Maliibu Miitch to perform “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix).” This move not only delighted fans but also highlighted Nicki’s support for her fellow artists. This is a move that showcased unity among female rappers during the memorable Boston performance. The energy was high as fans witnessed the ladies onstage next to Nicki. Moreover, Nicki’s gesture of solidarity towards her peers resonated deeply within the Barbz community, emphasizing the importance of female empowerment and collaboration in a male-dominated industry.
“This was legendary!!” One fan wrote on X. “Every girl killed it and I hope they felt the love from the barbz.” “This is such a moment for the culture,” another said. “Shout out to Queen Mix for Gagging the live! Nicki is SUPERWOMAN!” someone else wrote. “Omggg I’m really gagggggginggfffff My girls all with Nicki !!” another excitedly said. In a tweet following the show, Nicki expressed her gratitude to the performers, saying, “I LOVE YALL & I am so grateful for your time & your presence tonight.” This message highlighted the mutual respect shared among these artists.
Furthermore, this display of support comes at a pivotal moment in Nicki’s career, as she recently achieved a historic milestone with her Pink Friday 2 tour. Headlining the highest-grossing tour by a female rapper of all time, Nicki has long solidified her status as a trailblazer in the music industry. Despite having performed less than 20 shows, the tour grossed an astounding $34.9 million within the first 17 performances, according to Touring Data. Beyond her individual achievements, Nicki’s commitment to uplifting and championing other female artists speaks volumes about her character and influence.
In an industry often marked by rivalry and division, Nicki Minaj’s gesture of unity serves as a powerful reminder solidarity. In addition, while Nicki Minaj concludes the rest of her tour, fans are continuing to look forward to when Nicki will come to their city. So far, the reviews of the tour have been raving with positivity. It’s also been filled with many memorable nights. Tyga performed one night, and even B.G. took to Instagram to show praise. Stay tuned to HNHH to see what other moments potentially come out of this tour.
The crowd at Lil Uzi Vert’s concert in Boston broke into an impromptu chant of “F-ck Josh Giddey” during Uzi’s performance on Friday night. While the sort of chant would be expected at the Garden during a Celtics game, news of the Australian NBA star’s allegations have seen the hatred being aimed at him spread beyond merely the sports world. The allegations, especially following the revelation that the girl in question could have been as young as 15, have sparked a massive backlash against the rising star.
However, new evidence has reportedly emerged that could help clear Giddey’s name, or at least lessen the charges against him. A video uploaded to YouTube appears to show Giddey clubbing with Livvy Cook, the alleged minor he reportedly slept with. Many people have pointed out that if the footage is legitimate, Giddey might not have known Cook was underage or that she may have even lied about her age, especially if she was out clubbing. This comes after a number of people pointed out that at least one of Cook’s TikToks was tagged “Iamover21”. The age of consent in Oklahoma is 16.
Furthermore, the allegations made against Giddey are now being investigated by the NBA. A league spokesperson announced that the league office was “looking” into the allegations on Friday, a day after they originally hit social media. Earlier in the day, Giddey acknowledged the allegations for the first time. “I understand the question obviously, but there’s no further comment right now,” Giddey told reporters after practice on Friday.
However, the Thunder confirmed Saturday that Giddey will not miss any playing time for the moment. The Thunder play the Sixers at home tonight before facing Minnesota and the Lakers later in the week. Giddey is currently putting up 12.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists a night through 15 games. This remains a developing story and we’ll have any updates on the case as and when they emerge.
During a recent interview with Off The Porch uploaded on Friday (October 20), Rowdy Rebel and fellow rapper OnPointLikeOp explained some new rap beef they found themselves in. Moreover, the two explained why they chose to diss Real Boston Richey on the song “Fed Time,” which already got a response. Specifically, Rebel stated that he simply just wanted to do so, although he welcomes Richey taking the time and energy to start a conversation and engage with his remarks. On the other hand, Op added on that this is real hip-hop, since it’s about social issues and competing with your colleagues in the game much like 50 Cent would do.
“I made a comment because I wanted to,” Rowdy Rebel expressed. “I rap, I do what I want to do.” “Like, I feel like that’s real rap,” OnPointLikeOp elaborated. “That’s some 50 Cent s**t. We just bringing back real rap. If you don’t like it, it is what it is, it’s a bar. I feel like everybody agrees when they hear it, so it’s like, f**k it.” Check out their remarks around the 21:20 mark of the video below.
“I was in the stu’, coming up with lines, and I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s dope,’” Rowdy Rebel went on. “‘Oh, this line fire right here.’ A lot of s**t be going on in the hood. Something can happen with one of the bros. So it was like, ‘Aight, I’m cutting him off.’ N***as be saying some funny s**t, like, ‘Cut that n***a off,’ like, if he was their boy. So I’m throwing that in the line. I didn’t really want to beef with you, you feel me? I don’t care, but don’t play with me. I don’t care [about the response]. Ain’t finna go back and forth on the rap. It was cool for him to come back, though. ‘Killers in New York,’ okay! Tell them to pop out.”
Meanwhile, what do you think about all this? Is this a warranted diss or did it go too far? However you may feel, let us know in the comments down below. Also, for more news and the latest updates on Rowdy Rebel and Real Boston Richey, stick around on HNHH.

Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics have agreed to a five-year, $304 million supermax contract, making for the richest deal in NBA history. The two-time NBA All-Star’s agent, Jason Glushon, confirmed the news to ESPN’s Marc J. Spears, Tuesday. In addition to the base salary, the deal features a trade kicker and does not include a player option.
Brown is coming off a year in which he set career highs with 26.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Prior to the new deal, he was set to earn $28.5 million in 2023-24 on the final year of his previous contract. Jayson Tatum will also be eligible for a supermax extension next July after being named to the All-NBA team last season. He could be set to earn upwards of $318 million over five years, making it difficult for the team to retain both players.
Brown had been apprehensive about committing to staying in Boston long-term prior to Tuesday. When asked about his future with the Celtics in March, he admitted he was unsure whether he’d be staying. “I don’t know,” Brown told Logan Murdock of The Ringer. “As long as I’m needed. It’s not up to me. We’ll see how they feel about me over time and I feel about them over time. Hopefully, whatever it is, it makes sense. But I will stay where I’m wanted. I will stay where I’m needed and treated correct.”
As a team, the Celtics made it to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, before being eliminated by the Miami Heat. In the offseason, they’ve since added Kristaps Porzingis in a blockbuster trade involving Marcus Smart. The Celtics were able to retain Malcolm Brogdon, Robert Williams III, Derrick White, and Al Horford.
We’re a little under two months away from the launch of Drake and 21 Savage’s 2023 It’s All A Blur tour. It’s undoubtedly the most anticipated tour of the year as the two rappers hit the road in support of Her Loss. It marks Drake’s first tour since 2018’s Aubrey & The Three Migos with Migos. Within that time, he released four projects, including Certified Lover Boy and Honestly, Nevermind. Needless to say, fans can’t wait to hear some of their favorite records from Drake performed live.
Drake’s tour kicks off on June 29th, 2023 in Memphis. On July 11th and 12th, Drake and 21 Savage will host back-to-back shows at Boston’s TD Garden. Below, we’ve broke down everything you need to know about his upcoming Boston concerts.

However, the general on-sale ticket prices went live on April 28th, 2023 on drakerelated.com. Ticket Prices For Drake’s 2023 Tour Date In Boston
As of the time of writing, tickets are currently sold out on Ticketmaster. However, there are options available through Ticketmaster’s Official Platinum Seat program and other resellers. Through the former, tickets are ranging from $756 to $901.50. However, prices don’t get better through resellers, who are selling for astronomical prices, from $288 for the upper level to $2000+ for lower level and general admission floor seats.
Who Will Perform With Drake In Boston?
21 Savage will be co-headlining the It’s All A Blur 2023 tour with Drake, so expect to see the Her Loss collaborators on stage together all summer long. However, it wouldn’t be shocking if Drake brought out some hometown heroes, like BIA, or even Massachusetts-based MCs like Millyz or Joyner Lucas.

Real Boston Richey recently got scammed by a sneaker reseller who sold him the Certified Lover BoyNike Air Force 1s. After he got two right shoes with his order, the “Bullseye 2” MC had to ask Drake himself for some help to “get [him] right big bruh” because “they doing [him] wrong.” Despite the unfortunate nature of the situation, it at least shows that this type of scam can happen to anyone, not just regular customers. Via an Instagram video, Richey showed off the two right shoes and made his impassioned plea to Drizzy to help him out. After all, he did gift Bfb Da Packman a pair to congratulate his weight loss journey, so maybe he’ll have the same goodwill this time.
“Man you gotta fix this,” Real Boston Richey asked Drake. “I can’t even splash how I want to. These f**k n***as stay selling me two rights. And y’all ain’t even put the beads in the box. Now I gotta go regular white lows. I’m tryna splash on them [with the] Drake motherf***ers. Aye, listen man. All you h*e a** n***as, you resale a** f**k n***as. Y’all n***as- next time you n***as sell me two rights, gettin’ your a** robbed!”
Real Boston Richey Needs Drake To Give Him A Pair
Furthermore, the CLB Forces aren’t the most distinguishable of sneakers, so the confusion is at least predictable. Moreover, they look like regular white 1s, but with some minor tweaks like the phrase “Love you forever” in cursive on the midsole. Not only is it a slight reference to the album the shoe’s based on, but it actually goes all the way back to Drake’s childhood. “Love You Forever AF1 dedicated to my incredible mother and our favourite book,” he revealed around the sneaker’s release. The book in question is Love You Forever by Robert Munsch and Sheila McGraw, and it’s about a mother singing her son a lullaby at each stage of his life.
Meanwhile, Real Boston Richey might have better luck copping Drake’s upcoming collaboration with the NBA. To elaborate, his apparel collection of varsity jackets, hoodies, and more featuring various league teams will drop on Friday (April 21). Maybe Richey will still be able to “splash” on them with this new official merch drop as opposed to trusting resellers. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Real Boston Richey and Drake.
Veteran Boston rapper M-Dot is back with a new single for the holiday season, “Christmas Trippin” with longtime collaborator Lateb. Both spit bars over some clean boom-bap production, complete with jingling bells to match the occasion. M-Dot produced this track as well, and along with Lateb, spits quirky and stylish bars about the holiday. It’s a very different vibe to previous tracks of his like the politically charged “Reaganomics.” Still, their talent as MCs and writers shines through, almost as much as their creativity and sense of humor.
Instrumentally, the track uses samples and a classic boom-bap drum loop to craft a straightforward but effective Christmas theme. Moreover, the bells are quite subtle, so it’s not like the festive nature of the song is overwhelming the instrumental. Also, the guitars cut through the mix the most clearly, so they distract listeners with its main melody. Ultimately, the instrumental fit snugly with the song’s lyrical themes and topics, which are the star of the show.
Furthermore, M-Dot and Lateb bring animated, engaging, and steady performances to this song. “Christmas Trippin” is full of holiday movie references, cheeky mentions of Christmas iconography, and a Bruce Willis shoutout. “I mean, Bruce Willis is Christmas,” the skit at the end proclaims, most likely referencing Die Hard. Still, it’s nerdy and playful in the best way. However, they don’t compromise on the lyrical side of things, with strong command of internal rhyme schemes and flows. It’s very niche, but a perfectly fun listen for the festivities.
But what did you think of M-Dot and Lateb’s holiday jam, “Christmas Trippin”? Let us know in the comments and check out some notable lyrics from the song below. If you haven’t checked it out yet, make sure to find it on your preferred streaming service. Also, as always, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest hip-hop drops and more Christmas festivities from pop culture.
