Beyoncé & Jay-Z Crack Up At Paparazzi Joke While Leaving Dinner

Beyoncé and Jay-Z recently went out for dinner, and a paparazzi actually made them crack up at a joke. Moreover, the star couple went to Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California, and The Hollywood Fix uploaded a small clip of their exit into their vehicle. While white lights flashed and the two artists walked quietly and calmly to their car, one paparazzi had to pipe up. “Beyoncé!” they yelled out to the couple. Then, they said “B to the A! I mean, B to the C- whatever.” Furthermore, at that moment, you can hear both celebrities laugh softly at the poor photographer.

“Take care, Beyoncé,” they added. “I love you. You run the world remember that,” and you can slightly hear the singer thank him. After all, they’re not wrong. Moreover, she had an incredibly successful past year, marked by her album RENAISSANCE and the announcement of a world tour. In fact, she received so much praise and acclaim that even a Grammy nomination feels moot. When she lost the Album of the Year award to Harry Styles’ Harry’s House, fans on social media reacted in rage.

Still, her husband isn’t making a huge fuss of it. “I remove myself from the process and hope they just get it right,” he remarked about the Recording Academy’s choices. “It got to the point where I was like, it’s just a marketing thing. You go, you got an album out and it could help the sales go up.” Of course, RENAISSANCE hardly needs a promotional or streaming boost, but the sentiment is there. After all, the most awarded Grammy rapper (tied with Kanye West) knows a thing or two about the ceremony. However, he still stood by why he felt the album deserved to win.

Look what it’s done to the culture,” he expressed. “Look how the energy of the world moved. They play her whole album in the club. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that. The whole entire joint — like, everything?! Every remix is amazing. Everyone’s inspired. It has inspired the world. Every remix is better than the other one. From anybody, we’re just finding these joints out in the street… It’s inspiring creativity.

“You know how The Black Album had The Grey Album [Danger Mouse’s 2004 mashup project]?” he continued. “And the one with Radiohead? It was called Jaydiohead [Minty Fresh Beats’ 2009 mashup]. When it just inspires creativity, that’s an album. That has to be Album Of The Year. It has to be.” Regardless of your take, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and paparazzi comedians.

Big Gipp Clarifies Saying Beyoncé Wouldn’t Be With Jay-Z If Tupac Was Alive

This week has been a whirlwind for Big Gipp after his remarks about Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Tupac Shakur went viral. The Goodie Mob icon sat down with The Art of Dialogue and discussed Billboard and Vibe‘s Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time list. It was then that he dropped off a peculiar take about Hov, Bey, and Pac. “To me, Tupac… Only reason you inching Jay-Z past Tupac is because he got goddamn Beyoncé,” he said of Jay taking the No. 1 spot on the list. “You take Beyoncé away, he ain’t got sh*t. Bar for bar? Yeah, he might rap better than Pac, but Pac came with the heart. That’s different, it’s just different. You can never beat the heart, bro.”

Unsurprisingly, the internet lit up with reactions. People used the opportunity to poke fun at Jay-Z’s skills and marriage to Beyoncé. However, the Roc Nation mogul’s fans jumped to his defense. After a few days of watching his name go viral, Gipp dropped by B High ATL to clarify his statements. “No disrespect to that man Jay-Z, no disrespect to Beyoncé,” he began.

“I want to just explain to everybody that’s looking at the podcast right now,” Gipp continued. “Gippy knew what type of guy Pac was. Let’s talk about it. At the time that Pac walked the earth, Pac went after every girl that was somebody’s girl. Jada Pinkett, Biggie girl Faith, Aaliyah, Kidada, Lisa Left Eye—didn’t Rison tell you? ‘The limousine pulled up in front of my house, the door kicked open, and I seen it. It was Tupac, and Lisa got in the car with Tupac and drove off!’”

Gipp reiterated Shakur was “that kind of guy.” He said his point was to say the same way that Jay-Z “went after the No. 1 girl in the game,” Tupac would have done similar. “And all I’m saying is, bro, he was a phenomenon before the industry understood what he was. He was a rapper that was trained in acting. So, personally, he came with a skill that we didn’t even have in the game at that time.”

The Rap legend also mentioned that during the 1990s, the industry functioned much differently. We currently see music partnering with film and television as a norm, but Gipp recalled that all those industries were separated back then. For Tupac to amass success in all areas, albeit many of his television stints were often simply guest appearances, was something people never saw from an artist such as him. Spike Lee Isn’t Mad At Harry Styles But Called Beyoncé’s Album Of The Year Snub ‘Straight-Up Bullsh*t’

Beyoncé won Best Dance/Electronic Music Album with Renaissance at the 2023 Grammys on February 5. It marked 32nd career Grammy, making her the winningest artist of all time. That felt inevitable.

The surprise came at the end of the night when Harry Styles won Album Of The Year, and many were left flabbergasted that Renaissance became the latest album of Beyoncé’s four albums to be snubbed by the Recording Academy for Album Of The Year.

Jay-Z downplayed the snub, but leave it to Spike Lee to lay it all out there.

“I’m not the male president of the Beyhive, but I love and support Beyoncé,” Lee said in a wide-ranging interview with The Guardian. “Her album is amazing. I know she’s won multiple Grammys, but four times nominated for Album Of The Year, and she’s lost every time? No disrespect to those artists like Adele or Harry Styles who won. It’s not their fault, but that’s some straight-up bullsh*t.”

The transcendent filmmaker continued, “There’s a history of great Black artists who come up for these awards and don’t win. We all know their work is great because art speaks for itself. But then, it always comes down to this tricky territory of validation. Do Black artists say: ‘F*ck it,’ or seek white validation and chase awards? I just want to give a shoutout to my sister Beyoncé. We know what the deal is. It’s straight-up shenanigans, skulduggery, subterfuge. Or as the British say: It’s some poppycock!”

The Grammys are in Beyoncé’s rearview. She’s preparing to start her Renaissance World Tour this May in Sweden. The intensely sought-after tour will hit North America this summer, beginning in Toronto on July 8 and finishing in New Orleans on September 27.

Spike Lee Comments On Beyoncé’s Album Of The Year Grammy Snub: ‘Straight Up Bullsh*t’

Spike Lee is usually one of the quieter celebrities, which means if something he says makes headlines, it must be really important.

The legendary director was recently interviewed by The Guardian and was asked what he thought about Beyoncé once again losing Album Of The Year at this years Grammy Awards.

“I’m not the male president of the Bey Hive, but I love and support Beyoncé,” Lee said. “Her album is amazing. I know she’s won multiple Grammys, but four times nominated for Album of the Year and she’s lost every time? No disrespect to those artists like Adele or Harry Styles who won. It’s not their fault, but that’s some straight-up bullshit.”

He continued: “There’s a history of great Black artists who come up for these awards and don’t win. We all know their work is great because art speaks for itself, but then it always comes down to this tricky territory of validation. Do Black artists say, ‘Fuck it,’ or seek white validation and chase awards? It’s straight-up shenanigans, skulduggery, subterfuge. Or as the British say: It’s some poppycock!”

Despite losing to Harry Styles, Beyoncé became the most-awarded musician in Grammy history, having won 32 Grammys throughout her career. However, being nominated for AOTY four times and not winning at least once does seem very suspicious.

That night, Bey won four Grammys: Best R&B Song for “Cuff It,” Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Plastic Off The Sofa,” Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Break My Soul” and Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for Renaissance.

Spike Lee Calls Beyoncé’s Grammy AOTY Loss “Straight-Up Bullsh*t”

The 2023 Grammy Awards are behind us, but people are still talking about the wins and losses. It was a monumental night for Beyoncé, who became the most-awarded artist in The Recording Academy’s history. The acclaimed singer earned herself several accolades at this year’s Grammys, but her Album of the Year loss still hits hard for her supporters. Spike Lee recently sat down with The Guardian for an interview, and during the conversation, he shared his thoughts on Bey’s loss to Harry Styles.

“I’m not the male president of the Bey Hive, but I love and support Beyoncé,” said the film icon. “Her album is amazing. I know she’s won multiple Grammys, but four times nominated for album of the year and she’s lost every time? No disrespect to those artists like Adele or Harry Styles who won. It’s not their fault, but that’s some straight-up bullsh*t.”

Each year, the Grammys are entangled in controversy due to their choices of winners. Both Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z have missed out on coveted awards, but they seem to take it all in stride. That is at least publicly. “There’s a history of great black artists who come up for these awards and don’t win,” Lee said. “We all know their work is great because art speaks for itself.”

“But then it always comes down to this tricky territory of validation. Do Black artists say: ‘F*ck it’ – or seek white validation and chase awards? I just want to give a shoutout to my sister Beyoncé. We know what the deal is. It’s straight-up shenanigans, skulduggery, subterfuge. Or as the British say: it’s some poppycock!”

Ahead of the Grammys, Jay-Z caught up with Elliott Wilson for TIDAL and was asked about Bey’s Album of the Year nomination. At this point in his career, he hopes The Recording Academy doesn’t miss out on awarding artists who spark pivotal movements. “Yeah, I remove myself from the process and hope they just get it right,” said Hov. “It got to the point where I was like, it’s just a marketing thing. You go, you got an album out and it could help the sales go up. It got to that point, but deep down … Again, we grew up idolizing this. It was like one of the pillars for us. It was like, ‘We want to go Gold.’ Yeah, I’ve been in it that long. Haaaaa!”

Rihanna Inspired By Beyoncé For Super Bowl Halftime Show

Two of the biggest (and most Stanned) pop stars in the world share a lot of things: talent, mass impact, but also respect for one another. Before her Super Bowl halftime show, Rihanna said that Beyoncé inspired her and prepared her for the gig. Moreover, she gave the RENAISSANCE star such praise during a conversation with Nate Burleson on NFL and iHeart Radio’s The Process. While the star singer has plenty of performance experience, her first show on the football field is a massive task. However, she did her homework on one of the most grandiose and show-stopping performers the Super Bowl’s ever seen.

“I watched Beyoncé’s halftime performances a couple of times,” the “We Found Love” star expressed. “She is a beast and a whole other level. Just to be inspired, really.” Furthermore, Queen Bee appeared at two big football games over the past decade. Firstly, she performed a headlining solo show in 2013, and joined Bruno Mars and Coldplay in 2016. Overall, she showed herself to be an incredible performer, which people can’t wait to see on her upcoming tour. Still, with ticket prices and availability being a huge hassle, it’ll be tough to witness the “Drunk in Love” icon.

However, Stephen A. Smith of all people compared these two stars ahead of RiRi’s performance. “I don’t want to say I’m not excited,” he said when asked whether he’s hype for her show. “She’s fantastic. That’s not where I’m going with this. Ladies and gentlemen, she’s a lot of things. She’s spectacular, actually. And congratulations on new mamahood. There’s one thing she’s not: she ain’t Beyoncé… Rihanna’s music is fantastic. She’s great, she’s a sister. I love her dearly, I listen to her music. I’m gonna support her ’til the cows come home! I’m just telling you, for me, there’s Beyoncé, there’s everybody else.”

While a lot of people took issue with his comments, he did clarify that it’s just a personal taste thing. However, he didn’t do so without calling out harsh critics quick to jump down his throat. “I think Rihanna’s fantastic. Now, you agree, fine. You disagree? Fine. How we get to the point, ‘Why he gotta pit two Black women…’ Really?! I just can’t be a fan of both? But I prefer Beyoncé over Rihanna. That’s a crime! I didn’t know that.” Regardless of what your take is, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on these two superstars.

Rihanna Pulled Super Bowl Performance Inspiration From Beyoncé Herself: ‘She Is A Beast’

All eyes are on Rihanna as she will make her live musical return at Super Bowl LVII. While her former collaborator Coldplay’s Chris Martin may consider her to be the greatest singer ever, the “Life Me Up” singer actually looked outside of herself for performance inspiration. Although the Savage x Fenty boss has taken the stage as part of her annual fashion shows, her Super Bowl performance will actually center on the recording artist’s music rather than the acts featured during the broadcast.

During an interview with iHeart and the NFL’s The Process with Nate Burleson, Rihanna spoke about her half-time preparation revealing both Beyoncé’s 2013 Super Bowl performance and her 2016 guest appearance alongside Bruno Mars and Coldplay were the perfect study material.

The business mogul said, “I watched Beyoncé’s halftime performances a couple of times,” adding, “She is a beast and a whole other level. Just to be inspired, really.”

Of course, the “Work” singer will make the performance all her own as her discography differs from the “Cuff It” singer, but her dedicated Navy fanbase is ready for whatever she has planned.

As for which of her song’s have made the finally set list. You are just going to have to watch Super Bowl LVII to find out.

Beyoncé Dons Black & White Balmain To Virtually Accept Her BRIT Awards: Video

There’s no one doing it quite like Beyoncé. Since making a triumphant return to the stage during her legendary performance in Dubai, the “Telephone” singer has continued to prove that her talent truly knows no bounds. Most recently, her hard work was recognized on Saturday (February 11) night at the BRIT Awards.

The Texas-born star didn’t make the flight overseas to accept her trophies in person. Instead, she gave a virtual speech to the crowd in London. As Daily Mail notes, Queen B won in two categories – International Artist of the Year and International Song of the Year for “BREAK MY SOUL.” Though she didn’t walk the event’s red carpet, she still made sure to dress up in designer duds before snapping a few photos for the ‘gram.

While thanking those who gave her the awards, Beyoncé said, “Thank you so much for this incredible recognition. I’d like to say thank you to all of my friends out there in Britain for your continuous support over the years.” Afterward, she reminded viewers that this is only the beginning of RENAISSANCE‘s three acts. “I’ll see y’all on tour,” the Destiny’s Child alum promised. “Thank you so much for this honour!”

In her IG photo dump, Bey proudly poses with one of her sleek new trophies. Looking as fashionable as ever, her black and white Balmain outfit perfectly hugs her curvy hips and behind. On the unique dresses’ arms, striped fur creates an unmissable air of luxury and fun.

The majority of headlines surrounding Beyoncé lately have been focusing on her undeniably successful RENAISSANCE album. The project had an impressive run at the Grammy Awards. Consequently, it led the singer to tie the record for most trophies granted to one artist. However, that’s not all people have been talking about.

During a chat with Art of Dialogue, Big Gipp shared his thoughts on Bey’s marriage to Jay-Z. During the interview, he specifically said that, if Tupac were still alive, the “Baby Boy” hitmaker would be with him instead of Hov. Read the Atlanta rapper’s full thoughts on the matter here, and check back later for more music news updates.
