Deandre Jordan Dresses as Taylor Swift for Halloween

Oddly, Taylor Swift is one of the biggest names in the NFL. Swift has become one of the mainstays at Kansas City Chiefs games due to her romance with star tight end Travis Kelce. In the spirit of Halloween, DeAndre Jordan dressed as the international star.

But Jordan isn’t the only one. Who knew Flavor Flav was a huge Taylor Swift fan? Flav hit The Grove in Los Angeles for the premiere of the Eras tour film. During his time at the event, Falv mingled with Swift’s family and exchanged friendship bracelets that have become a practice at Swiftie events.

The Eras premiere also saw the two biggest stars on the planet, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, hanging out. Making for a cute moment, the two sat in the first row at a movie theater and posed for a picture. Beyoncé would playfully toss popcorn to the camera.

“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without Beyoncé’s influence,” Swfit wrote on Instagram. “The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale.

Tina Knowles-Lawson Reveals Beyonce’s Backstage Persona: “Girl, You Get Really Mean Back There”

In a recent appearance on Sherri, Tina Knowles-Lawson spilled all the tea on her daughter. Knowles-Lawson, a.k.a. the mother of global superstar Beyoncé, offered an intriguing glimpse into the life and personality of the iconic singer behind the scenes. Host Sherri Shepherd delved into the topic by asking Tina about Beyoncé’s backstage behavior and what she goes through when the spotlight isn’t on her. Tina Knowles-Lawson, known for her candid and open nature, didn’t hold back. She recounted a conversation she had with her daughter, Beyoncé, where she made a rather unexpected observation. Tina revealed that she had told Beyoncé that she acts “really mean back there” behind the scenes.

This revelation had the Beyhive buzzin’. Normally, fans are accustomed to seeing Beyoncé’s polished and graceful public persona. However, Miss Tina went on to clarify that her daughter’s sometimes stern demeanor backstage is not indicative of her true character. Instead, she attributed it to the intense and high-pressure moments that often accompany live performances and the behind-the-scenes preparations. “We laughed about this recently because I was saying, ‘Girl, you get really mean back there.’ I am really happy that I don’t have to be back there anymore,” Tina said during the convo.

Tina Knowles-Lawson Gets Candid About Beyoncé

Tina’s candid commentary underscores the importance of understanding the context in which celebrities, particularly those as globally prominent as Beyoncé, operate. The entertainment industry is a whirlwind of activity, with artists constantly under the spotlight. The pressure to deliver impeccable performances and live up to the immense expectations of their fans can undoubtedly take a toll, even on the most seasoned professionals. The revelation that Beyoncé occasionally exhibits a less-than-sunny disposition behind the scenes humanizes her in the eyes of her fans. It serves as a reminder that, at the end of the day, celebrities are people too, subject to the same emotions and stressors as anyone else.

The Beyhive didn’t fail to include their social commentary. “I could imagine what was said when the mics cut off on alien superstar,” one fan speculated. “Mama Tina airing out all her business as usual,” another person wrote. “I just know she got a nice long text waiting for her when that interview is over…” someone else said. Let us know what you think of Mama Tina’s thoughts!

Here Are Some Last-Minute, Music-Themed Halloween Costume Ideas For Your Spooky Season

The blinged-out crown of Christmas undoubtedly belongs to Mariah Carey. However, when it comes to Halloween, no one does it quite like Heidi Klum. If you don’t believe us, take a look at her over-the-top worm get-up last year. Due to the holiday’s placement in the week, many folks, including some of your favorite entertainers, will roll out their festive wardrobes over the weekend. Yesterday (October 26), Uproxx cover star Chlöe took to social media to share her Game Of Thrones-inspired look with her followers.

But if you don’t have time to sit in a special effects chair for hours on end or shop for extravagant pieces, here are some last-minute, music-themed costume ideas for your spooky season celebrations.

Bad Bunny

From his debut appearance on Saturday Night Live to his latest album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana, Bad Bunny has been on the lips of everyone, including his rumored boo Kendall Jenner. Pulling off a Bad Bunny costume is simple enough and can work in several instances. If you have tinted sunglasses, light-washed jeans (or overalls), and a plain white tee, you’re ready to do.

Beyoncé

You won’t break your soul, but you might break the bank if you plan to dress up as Beyoncé for Halloween. The “Cozy” singer also works as a solo concept, couple creation, or as a family function. We’ve outlined some tips for mirroring Beyoncé’s style here, but as a few additional tips, upcycling is key.

Billie Eilish

Just as Armani White rapped on his viral song, Billie Eilish’s style is quite simple. In other words, the baggier, the better. The key to Eilish’s style is to look and feel effortlessly casual and comfortable. Everything oversized is the goal. So, large jeans and graphics tees are your friend for Halloween.

Drake

Drake’s peers may struggle with obtaining his level of commercial success within rap, but his fashion sensibilities are entirely different. We have created a guide for you to view here to get a visual sense of the “Slime You Out” rapper. But to provide you with options, similar to Billie Eilish, Drake is an avid lover of athleisure wear. Any workout gear you have to spare could work just fine.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has broken countless records this year thanks to her The Eras Tour. The “Cruel Summer” will surely be one of the most popular music-theme costumes this year, and who can blame anyone? Our guide here outlines some key pointers, but instead of focusing on the beautiful gowns she wears on stage, think more about her street style, which features tons of leather skirts, jeans, graphic tees, flannels, and more.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Jay-Z Revealed How Blue Ivy Got Her Name

The second part of Jay-Z’s CBS Mornings interview with Gayle King has arrived. In the first part, he revealed what it would take for him to release a new album, addressed memes about his “awkward” dancing, and why he won’t be selling his masters anytime soon.

In today’s second part, Jay tells King where his daughter Blue Ivy’s name came from, and that it was originally supposed to be something else entirely.

“Her name was meant to be Brooklyn,” Jay said. “That was the name we had in theory, but when we got the sonogram, it was super small and we was calling her Blueberry. Like, ‘Look at the little blueberry!’ It was a nickname. For nine months, we were like, ‘Look at the little blueberry,’ so it was natural. We just took the ‘berry’ off and called her Blue.”

In regards to Blue Ivy joining Beyoncé onstage on her Renaissance World Tour, Jay said, “I still get goosebumps seeing her walk on stage ’cause Blue’s been born into a life she didn’t ask for. Since she was born, she’s been in scrutiny, in public eye, and having an opinion of even a little girl how she keeps her hair, so for her to be on that stage to reclaim her power and the song is called ‘My Power,’ you can’t write a better script.”

Here’s The Meaning Behind Beyoncé’s Cé Noir Perfume Name

The Renaissance era continues. While Beyoncé concluded her critically-acclaimed Renaissance World Tour earlier this month, this particular chapter in the lore of Beyoncé isn’t over quite yet. This December, Beyoncé will premiere Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé, which will contain footage from the tour, and is also rumored to contain the long-awaited music videos for the Renaissance album.

But between now and then, Bey has unveiled a new fragrance called Cé Noir. She took to Instagram yesterday to share a video of herself unboxing a bottle of Cé Noir.

As the Renaissance album is a celebration of Black culture, it’s only fitting that the perfume is called Cé Noir, which is French for “this black” or “this blackness.” It’s also likely that she added the accent mark on the “e” of “ce” as an allusion to her name.

In the video, she said the perfume took “years of work” to come together, and noted that she has worn it during performances on the Renaissance World Tour.

“I wanted something to be monolithic and I wanted something to have a little bit of intimacy,” said Beyoncé.

Fans can pre-order Cé Noir from Beyoncé’s official website. The perfume will begin shipping in November.

Here’s How To Dress Like Beyoncé For Halloween

With just one week left until Halloween, here’s how you can pull together a last-minute look inspired by Beyoncé. Whether you’re a casual fan or a hardcore member of the BeyHive, one of these is sure to be as big a hit at your Halloween party as Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour film will be at the box office.

The best part? There are plenty of choices from the “Plastic Off The Sofa” singer that’ll be instantly recognizable from her music videos to her live performances, yet easy and inexpensive to put together — the best of both worlds.

Here’s How To Dress As Beyoncé For Halloween

Foxy Cleopatra Beyoncé

Beyoncé didn’t get the best reviews for her film debut in Austin Powers In Goldmember, but there’s no arguing that her looks in the film were nothing short of iconic. A local costume shop or thrift store should have some shiny gold bell-bottom pants and an afro wig. Tie up your shirt in the middle and voila!

“Apesh!t” Beyoncé

Admittedly, this one works best as a couple costume, but just like on The Carters’ debut album Everything Is Love, all it’ll take is a pink suit (and/or an aquamarine one) to turn heads and make you the star of the show.

“Crazy In Love” Beyoncé

White halter tank top? Check. Blue cut-off jean shorts? Double-check (or cheeked). Fire engine-red pumps? Whew. The only thing I can’t help you with is that strut, or hitting your “uh-oh” dance. Only a few hours in front of a full-length mirror can solve that one.

“Be Alive” Beyoncé

Here’s one that you can have fun with. Beyoncé opened the 2022 Academy Awards at the tennis courts in Compton where Venus and Serena Williams honed their craft, and appropriately, she basically dressed as a tennis ball. You can get as abstract or as literal with this monochromatic ensemble as it takes.

HBCU Beyoncé

This distinctive look from Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella headlining performance should be easy to pull off — it’s just a pair of denim shorts, a yellow sweatshirt, and a pair of calf-length high-heel boots. Bedazzle yourself a sorority logo and throw some tassels on the boots and you’re good to go… bonus points if you actually went to an HBCU and/or rushed a sorority.

There you have it! Just one last thing: This should really go without saying, but stay away from blackface — it’s a bad look.

Here’s Where Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ Movie Will Be Premiered

Beyoncé is bringing her Renaissance Tour film to theaters this December, with an exclusive concert movie deal with AMC. Before it does, the pop star will be holding two special premieres for it.

The US premiere of Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé will take place in Los Angeles on November 25. Then, the European premiere will be held in London on November 30. Of course, locations for both have not been revealed.

Earlier this month, Taylor Swift held the premiere of her The Eras Tour concert film at AMC at The Grove in Los Angeles, where she selected fans and press to attend. Given both stars have massive deals and films connected to the theater chain and have just been longtime friends, Beyoncé made a surprise appearance to support.

Because of this, it’s possible hers would be held at the same spot.

From there, her movie will be available to watch for fans starting on December 1. As it is an international release, tickets for locations including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean, will go on sale starting November 9. Tickets for North America are currently available. More information can be found here.

Will Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ Movie Be Available Globally?

Beyoncé attended Taylor Swift’s Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie premiere in Los Angeles on October 11. Sure, she was there to support Swift, but she might have also been there to scope out The Grove as a potential site for her Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé premiere.

This morning (October 26), The Hollywood Reporter exclusively shared that Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé will enjoy a US premiere in Los Angeles on November 25 and a world premiere in London on November 30.

“The events will take place days before Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and AMC Entertainment debut the film in theaters on December 1,” THR relayed. “Tickets for international territories — including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America and the Caribbean — will go on sale November 9 at BeyonceFilm.com.

The December 1 theatrical release is limited to North America, but as evidenced by the aforementioned report, global dates will follow. Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour began in Stockholm, Sweden on May 10 and wrapped in Kansas City, Missouri on October 1.

She announced her Renaissance concert film on October 2 with a two-minute trailer. The video starts with Beyoncé stretching backstage with her daughter-turned-backup-dancer, Blue Ivy, and spending time with her twins, Rumi and Sir. She says, “When I am performing, I am nothing but free. The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free, and no one is judged.”

RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ accentuates the journey of RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR, from its inception, to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri,” the official description reads. “It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans.”

Here What Beyoncé’s New ‘Cé Noir’ Perfume Will Smell Like

According to Live Nation, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour grossed $579 million across Europe and the US, making it “the highest-grossing tour by a female artist, American soloist, and Black artist in history.” She followed that up by attending Taylor Swift’s Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour premiere — a big bummer for anyone who had been committed to pitting two of the world’s most powerful women against each other — as she prepares her own theatrical release for Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé in December.

Smells like success! But what will her newly unveiled perfume, Cé Noir, smell like?

“Created in France, and crafted and designed by Beyoncé, ‘Cé Noir’ contains top notes of clementine and golden honey, heart notes of rose absolute and jasmine sambac, and base notes of Namibian myrrh and golden amber,” says Billboard. “Concertgoers in Inglewood, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington, D.C. and more cities were treated to sample strips of ‘Cé Noir.’”

Beyoncé announced the perfume on Tuesday, October 24, with an Instagram video that was captioned, “Beyoncé Parfums presents CÉ NOIR. Pre-order now on parfum.beyonce.com for shipping in November and in time for the holidays.” Over on the official website, it’s listed for $160 and only available for customers in the US and Canada.
