Scar Lip surprises fans with news that she will be a mother. On Saturday afternoon (Dec. 21), the popular New York rap star showed her baby bump in a new Instagram post. She revealed she’s having a girl in the caption. After GloRilla teased a fake pregnancy earlier, fans requested more proof from Scar Lip. Congratulations, comments flooded the post.  A surprised Lola Brooke wrote, “Nobody ain’t tell me nothingggggg.” Another comment reads: “Nahhhh where the sonogram sis? Lol, she must be doing a remake of Brenda’s Got a Baby or something. My girl is very creative, so I’m excited to see.”

The pregnancy news follows Scar Lip performing a holiday event on Friday in New York City. Many were surprised by pregnancy after it wasn’t unnoticed until it was revealed. “I just saw her last night and didn’t notice nothing,” commented a user in The Shade Room comment section. Another wrote that it was hard to maintain the rapper’s secret. “Girl this was the hardest secret I ever had to keep ,” they wrote. “You finally told everybody. Congrats sis me you and skai due on the same day.” A fan claims the bump is fake based on zooming in on the photo. “If y’all don’t zoom in to see that this is fake,” they commented. “Yall got me worried for our future.”

Scar Lip saw fame in 2022 for his impressive rap style and signature look. Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz would be several of the hip-hop legends to co-sign the emerging star. Her catalog includes buzzworthy tracks “Therapy,” “Foster Care,” and “Glizzy Gobbler.” Fans and critics alike have admired her indifferent style. The rising star’s debut album is in the works.

Lizzo Says She Was ‘Deeply Hurt’ And ‘Blindsided’ By Her Ex-Dancers’ Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Filing

In 2023, three of Lizzo’s former dancers filed a lawsuit accusing her of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile work environment. Although the “Bad Day” singer released a statement denying the allegations, Lizzo hasn’t publicly addressed the ongoing case any further — until now.

Yesterday (December 19), Lizzo spoke out on the uphill legal battle during her appearance on the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast. When asked about the matter by host Keke Palmer, Lizzo emotionally professed she felt “blindsided” and it “deeply hurt.”

“I was literally living in my dream, and then the tour ended, and three ex-dancers just completely, like, blindsided me with a lawsuit,” she said. “I was very deeply hurt because these were three ex-dancers, so they weren’t on the tour. They didn’t, like, finish the tour out with us. But even regardless of that, these were people that I gave opportunities to.”

Lizzo went on to talk about her rapport with the complainants prior to the filing, saying, “These were people that, I liked them and appreciated them as dancers, respected them as dancers. So I was like, what? But then I heard all the other things like sexual harassment, and I was like, they’re trying well, I don’t know what they’re trying to do, but these are the types of things that the media can turn into something that it’s not.”

She closed by doubling down on her claim of innocence, saying, “Let’s be clear, I did nothing wrong.”

In addition to the case with her former dancers, Lizzo was also sued by her ex-wardrobe assistant Asha Daniels, who made similar allegations as the dancers. During the interview, Lizzo echoed reports that she was granted a partial dismissal. However, Daniels’ lawyer Ron Zambrano refuted that in a statement to People.

“The lawsuit is still very active and has not been dismissed,” he said. “The ruling was not for lack of evidence, but rather on procedural jurisdictional grounds. It by no means absolves Lizzo of the egregious claims that occurred on her watch.”

Jokes aside, Ashanti and Nelly seem absolutely obsessed with each other and with their little one. “We are both very strong-headed, strong-willed. When two leaders come together… I don’t tell him all the time, but I’ve learned a lot,” she said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “About just being grateful and graceful, and giving people grace. Being open-minded and level-headed and not too emotional. I’m a little bit dramatic, as he says. To have my soulmate, like, my person, my best friend, my protector, you know, it’s an amazing feeling. I think, just, the universe just doesn’t make mistakes.”

“Oh, man, that was a good one!” Nelly responded to Ashanti’s praise for him during this interview. “She’s a great person, she’s a great mother,” he replied. “Even when it comes to like, doing this, having birthday parties, and things like that. So to have that person with me is, like, yeah, that’s it, you know what I’m saying? Plus, you seen her in Resident Evil? She shoot that thing, too.”

Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, has revealed she and her husband, Evan McClintock, are expecting a baby boy in 2025. The update comes after Eminem announced that Hailie was pregnant at the end of his new music video for, “Temporary.” In the piece, she hands him a football jersey that reads, “Grandpa,” as well as their sonogram image.

Speaking about the pregnancy during the latest episode of her Just A Little Shady podcast, she said: “We’re so excited, too. When we found out, Evan was like, ‘They’re going to hunt with me. They’re going to go golfing with me. I’ve got a little buddy.’ I was like, ‘Okay well they’re still going to Target with me.’”

During a previous episode of the podcast, Hailie discussed how she hid her pregnancy during her wedding with the help of her best friend, Brittany Ednie. Ednie explained that she ended up having to keep consuming the drinks that had been handed to Hailie. “So she was, you know, grabbing a drink, not consuming the drink as a responsible parent does,” Ednie explained. “Whenever people were turned around, she would hand me her drink, and I would chug so it looked as if she was continuously drinking throughout that night.” Hailie added: “Brittany was taking one for the team. Well, then I’ll defend myself, though, because I never really asked you to do it. It was like an unspoken thing with our eyes.”

And the three of us together, we were all able to hold each other. It was incredible to watch just how confident and gentle and how soothing he is with his son. It was just an amazing, incredible feeling.

“It’s just an immense feeling,” Ashanti continued. “When I look in his eyes, or when I pick him up and I kiss him, it’s an overwhelming feeling of love and admiration and giving. Furthermore, Tommy Richman seems poised to keep expanding on this unique style, and will surely find new ways to tinker with it, capitalize on its best elements, and continue to expand outside of it. We don’t want to put him in a box, but this is definitely a wave that he could ride with ease given the catchy, loose, and above all fun feeling that “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” will give you. Thanks to some occasional and subtle cowbell hits, the sharp snares and hi-hats, and the funky bass patterns, this song is able to make something sound pretty hard and quite sophisticated at the same time. It’s an odd mix that ultimately works to its cheeky benefit, especially with added wailing synths, a very simple lead melody, high-pitched vocals, and background vocal samples.

Skilla Baby To Host Firearm Buy Back Event In Detroit To Combat Gun Violence

Skilla Baby is part of an event this Saturday (February 24) at The Icon in Detroit that is an incredible initiative from a visible entertainment figure. Moreover, he partnered with the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence to host a gun buy back event for folks to receive hundreds of dollars for ridding themselves of their firearms. Not only that, but the “Plate” rapper also worked with local city officials to put this together. The event will also host a job fair for folks with a felony history, record expungement services (with applications here), and driver’s license restoration reviews.
