Azealia Banks Mocks Jacky Oh’s Death In Message To DC Young Fly

Back in 2018, DC Young Fly made Harlem rapper Azealia Banks cry during a live taping of Wildin’ Out, when he jokingly said that host Nick Cannon wasn’t able to land a guest appearance from Cardi B, so that’s how “Azealia’s ugly a*s” got on the show. The improv skit ended up going viral, which obviously didn’t sit right with Banks.

Azealia decided to hit DC Young Fly below the belt by mocking the death of his longtime partner and mother of his three children, Jacky Oh. Banks reminded her IG followers about the 2018 joke and hinted that Jacky Oh’s passing was karma taking its course against Young Fly, which just happened to occur on her 32nd birthday.

Azealia Banks Is Truly ‘Wild ‘N Out’ With Her Gross Message To DC Young Fly About The Death Of Jacky Oh

Azealia Banks has made waves for yet another social media post some fans are calling truly unhinged for its treatment of the recent death of Wild ‘N Out star Jacky Oh. Banks posted the message on her recently restored Instagram Story this week, addressing Oh’s death while excoriating Oh’s surviving partner and co-star DC Young Fly.

“DC Young Fly spent years disguising his own deeply rooted hatred of self as jokes pointed at women’s beauty,” she wrote. “Projecting his own feelings about his own ugliness unto women perfectly secure in their own skin. Say what you want about my tears. They were pure tears of rage. And not at all a sign of weakness. Because in the end. I won. I’m happy I cried and moved on. That Jackie o girl must have been as deeply insecure about herself.”

Banks made matters on the next slide, seemingly positing that Oh’s death was the result of DC Young Fly’s own bad karma. “Dead at 32 exactly on my 32nd birthday, May 31st, 2023 in Miami, FL,” she wrote. “You n***** are going to learn to stop f*cking with me.” Given speculation online that Oh died due to complications from cosmetic surgery, the unspoken barbs in Banks’ comments are that DC Young Fly’s comments about women’s looks made Oh insecure enough to undergo the risky procedure in the first place.

Fans aren’t happy about Banks’ post, with one observer declaring that they were “disgusted” and cited Banks taking DC’s jokes on Wild ‘N Out — a show infamous for its insult humor — personally for years after he made them.

Another expressed a wish for DC and his co-stars to roast Banks again. Another simply called Banks a “demon.” One more pointed out “what she said wasn’t nowhere near cool.” See more responses below.

Banks recently went viral for calling out Matty Healy in the wake of rumors he was dating Taylor Swift. The “couple” has since reportedly broken up.

Azealia Banks Calls Matty Healy A “Full Incel” After He Brushes Off Ice Spice Hate Backlash

New Azealia Banks beef just dropped. This time around, the “212” hitmaker is taking issue with British indie rocker Matty Healy, who’s been the subject of scrutiny over the past few weeks after making troubling comments about Ice Spice on a podcast. He offered up an awkward apology to the New Yorker last month, but during a more recent interview, made it abundantly clear that he feels little to no remorse for his actions. “It doesn’t actually matter,” he said of the controversy, causing more backlash to fly his way.

Among those lashing out at the “Girls” hitmaker is Banks, who used her Instagram Story to call him out in a lengthy rant on Tuesday (May 30). “Does Matty Healy know that no one actually thinks The 1975 makes good music?” she asked her followers. “And that he’s a lame poser with a trash cliche band name that actually means nothing. He’s clearly so pressed about a Black girl who knows nothing about him or his music is making more moves and money than him,” the embattled rap diva wrote. “Does he know that Black women are more coveted [in] today’s industry because there’s BIG BUSINESS in female rap?”

“He is so obviously weak in the knees, thin-jawed, and drug addicted that it’s easy to catch his crusty ass lackin’,” Banks further alleged. In her next paragraph, she trashed The 1975’s name and image entirely. “You’re not a star, nor are you good at whatever this crappy ass mid-2000’s indie pitchfork darling fantasy you’re trying to see,” the 31-year-old dissed Healy.

“Ice Spice has MILES more originality than you will ever. The 1975 is on nobody’s radar babe, maybe fat emo teenagers but no we are not checkin’ for you boo.” On the next slides, the Harlem native claimed that the English artist is “one shared needle away from tetanus.” Afterward, she advised his rumoured new girlfriend, Taylor Swift, to avoid the “full incel” at all costs.

Azealia Banks Reckons Taylor Swift Could Do Much Better Than ‘Full Incel’ Matty Healy, And Even Offers Up An Indie Rock Suggestion

Matty Healy is comfortably resting in his villain era, stirring up beef with Noel Gallagher. His rumored romance with Taylor Swift isn’t helping much. Lewis Capaldi poked fun at the discourse with a parody video, but Azealia Banks’ approach isn’t as light-hearted.

In a note uploaded to the entertainer’s Instagram Story, Banks wrote, “Taylor, this guy is gonna give you scabies. He’s not on the level of powerful p*ss you worked hella hard to build. Ugh, so many much cooler people in music to work with.” Later in the post, she added, “Ugh, this dude is a full incel. You cannot be letting him climb the rich white c*ochie mountain, sis.”

As a suggestion, the rapper did offer another potential boo. “You should really tap James Mercer from The Shins,” said Banks, adding, “James Mercer is honestly one of the best lyricists ever. Yesss, Taylor Swift with ‘Black Wave’ and ‘Australia’ by The Shins vibes is the tea, sis.”

Neither Swift nor Healy confirmed or denied their relationship status. But during BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend festival in Dundee, Scotland, The 1975 leader brushed off the whispers saying, “Is it all a bit? Is it sincere? Will he ever address it? All of these questions and more will be ignored in the next hour. Ladies and gentlemen, this is The 1975.”

Azealia Banks Adds Australia To Long List Of Feuds

Azealia Banks has added an unexpected new entry to her long list of beef: the entire country of Australia. The rapper took to Instagram to express her dissatisfaction with the handling of her single “New Bottega” in the land down under. According to her, a subpar remix of her master track was released in Australia instead of the original version she preferred. She goes on to discuss her record contract before criticizing the Australian music industry more broadly.

“I don’t think they realize how unimportant they are as far as music culture goes… they’re deluded with the idea that their whiteness makes Australia an A Market, when it’s truly a C-D market,” Banks said on her Instagram. “Brazil is a MUCH more important market for music than australia lmao. (this is mostly because Australia has an extreme dearth of internationally appetizing talent outside of Kylie Minogue, INXS & AC/DC, {tame impala is just cheesy to me, and wolfmother is excellent – but clearly an American rock tribute band}.”

Label Problems, Bigger Beef, And New Music

Australia isn’t the only feud Azealia Banks has had this year. She has also gone very public in her beef with former label, Parlophone. The rapper had barely been signed with the label for three months before leaving. In November 2022, she announced the signing via social media. At the end of January this year, she said she was leaving because the label was full of “fragile white liars.” She also called the label’s roster “corny losers.” Even if she had changed her mind about leaving, there was likely no going back after those comments. It’s another bridge burned for Banks.

Although the rapper is currently independent, that doesn’t mean that she isn’t going to release music. In a recent interview with Dazed Magazine, she spoke about the music she has been working on. Apparently, Banks has already recorded 75+ songs for two new albums. Additionally, she said that her opinion of her voice has changed. “My voice has definitely matured a lot, and I feel really sexy when I sing now,” she said in the interview. “When you’re younger, especially when you come from theatre like I do, you’re kind of listening to yourself as you sing to make sure that you sound pretty. But I don’t care about sounding pretty. Because I’ve realized that I’m f*cking gorgeous.” What do you think of Banks’ latest beef? Let us know in the comments!

Azealia Banks Is Not Pleased With Australia, ‘One Of The Most Culturally Stale White Nations On The Planet’

When it comes to Australia, Azealia Banks isn’t feeling the love.

In a series of Instagram Stories shared yesterday (May 7), Banks wrote about how her recent single “New Bottega” was handled in Australia, claiming a “piss poor remix of my master track” was released over there instead of the preferred version. She writes more about the song and her record contract before going after Australia and its music industry more generally.

“I don’t think they realize how unimportant they are as far as music culture goes because they’re deluded with the idea that their whiteness makes Australia an A Market, when it’s truly a C-D market,” Banks said. “Brazil is a MUCH more important market for music than australia lmao. (this is mostly because Australia has an an extreme dearth of internationally appetizing talent outside of Kylie minogue , INXS & AC/DC, {tame impala is just cheesy to me, and wolfmother is excellent – but clearly an American rock tribute band}.”

She continued, “Australia doesn’t really have many music acts that anyone truly cares about on a global scale because they’re in a vacuum of off-brand British culture,” noting she thinks they have “actually created one of the most culturally stale white nations on the planet.”

“Sidebar: I’m reading this article in the Guardian about the ever dwindling and insignificant Australian music industry and have SO MANY THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS, but the delusions of the Aussie music execs quoted in this article is f*ckkkng astonishing and making it clear to me how sheer jealousy, racism and desperation allowed @sweatitoutmusic to purposely sabotage a bonafide hit in lieu of their fragile fragile egos and DESPERATE attempts to try and steal my IP. The Australian music industry is so devoid of internationally appealing talent they literally harrased, threatened, menaced and corruptly stole my IP. Let’s take a deep dive.

the version of my song New Bottega, the Australians released as The final composition is actually a piss poor remix of my Master Track , and should not be titled ‘New Bottega’.

There’s no language stating that any ‘left over ideas’ do not belong to me. Because they essentially treated the fully mixed mastered single as a discard, when they had it in their possession the entire time, the song splits were not papered once done,
and they have nothing with my signature confirming ‘New Bottega’ as the song that qualifies the parameters of the initial contract.

They left it as ‘TBD’ which was stupid on their part. So they basically denatured my intellectual property, cherry picked what they wanted from it and fraudulently presented it to the world AS the song EYE wrote. And they released it, so that is the only version of the song they have claim to. My Sony atv deal explicitly states that I am not allowed to assign control of my publishing/vocals etc to any entity. Again I was very f*cking sick when I signed the deal and really just signed it so They would stop calling me at 2am and let me rest. The fact that they are steadfast on trying to have ownership over something that is going to make them no money without my involvement is asinine. They fact that they are so obsessed with owning my vocals but adamant about treating me poorly and adamant about not investing in such a massive song (the tik tok stats and best of year end lists literally proved that the product works, what’s the point in changing it?) is literal stupidity. Whatever remix they released is not ‘New Bottega.’ So they don’t have the right to title their remix track as such. ‘New Bottega’ is my intellectual property, and time has proven that these aussies have zero clue how to market this song, absolutely no knowledge of the big business that is American female rap, or how to engage with Azealia Banks and leverage the power of her already established international fanbase to their advantage… here I am LITERALLY telling them how to get my fans excited- and they re taking it an insult.

For the record. ‘New Bottega’ by Azealia Banks Is a hiphop record. It is not a dance record. Categorizing it as a dance record was their first wrong marketing move. Clearly -There is a cultural dissonance here. HipHop is the most profitable genre of music in the world right now. EDM is f*cking dead For people so thirsty to try and own the rights to my vocals , you’d THINK they had some huge money play to go along with all of the empty and baseless threats to sue me. (lmao, can’t sue me for not participating in promoting garbage.) if they were good crooks – they would have at least kept their racism under wraps long enough to have taken my photo and shot a video to have assets to promote their bullshit with) For all of the dsp c*cksucking @sweatitoutmusic did in effort to try and prove to me that their marketing strategy was better than mine – registering it as a dance song Was the most anti-algorithmic sh*t an algorithm dickrider could have done. F*cking stupidity.

Australia’s media /music /entertainment industry isn’t exactly heralded by the heads of government or anyone in the world as a coveted cultural export, I don’t think they realize how unimportant they are as far as music culture goes because they’re deluded with the idea that their whiteness makes Australia an A Market, when it’s truly a C-D market. Brazil is a MUCH more important market for music than australia lmao. (this is mostly because Australia has an an extreme dearth of internationally appetizing talent outside of Kylie minogue , INXS & AC/DC, {tame impala is just cheesy to me, and wolfmother is excellent – but clearly an American rock tribute band}

Australia doesn’t really have many music acts that anyone truly cares about on a global scale because they’re in a vacuum of off-brand British culture. Could be do to with it being geographically so out of the way and how aggressive, barbaric, oppressive and violent they have been in regards to the very existence of native black peoples that they’ve actually systematically stomped out their country’s own ability to develop its own music/arts culture – to instead look to England and the USA for ideas to regurgitate not realizing that the reason the Australian music industry and Australian culture is so trash is BECAUSE of their country’s historical post colonial obsession with I guess, trying to prove to England and the Monarchy that they -a legion of convicts/mentally insane social rejects – were in fact a proper white/Anglo-saxon society – using the massacre/ subjugation of black/indigenous peoples (manifest destiny bullshit) and theft of their land as a marker of national strength

But they have actually created one of the most culturally stale white nations on the planet.

The fact that these aussie music execs are COMPLETELY OVERLOOKING THE CORRELATION BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENTS PURPOSEFUL ETHNIC CLEANSING OF NATIVE PEOPLES AND THEIR INABILITY TO PRODUCE MUSIC ANYONE ANYWHERE CARES ABOUT IS F*CKING COMEDY .

Someone has GOT to tell the Australian music industry that Absolutely no one on earth takes it seriously. Like, they HAVE to understand how untalented/uncultured and unneeded they are to the greater global arts community, realize musical talent is just not in the gene pool, and redirect those funds to the aboriginal peoples of the continent and just pack their shit up and go back to Europe. LMAO. Y’all stomped all the blackness out of Australia – which is why your music exports suck and we don’t feel bad for you lmfaooooooo.”

Ice Spice Had Kendrick Lamar, Azealia Banks, And Nicki Minaj In Constant Rotation As A Teen

Since she first blew up last summer, the world can’t seem to get enough of Ice Spice. The 23-year-old first caught our attention with “Munch (Feelin’ U),” which eventually led her to earn a co-sign from Drake. The Canadian rapper later unfollowed her on Instagram, although she still maintains that they’re “cool.”

Following the release of her debut EP, Like..? earlier this month, the Bronx-born baddie has been more in demand than ever before. It seems as though a new interview has been dropping every day. In one of the more recent ones, Spice revealed some of her earliest musical influences.

During a conversation with ELLE, the “Princess Diana” spitter played a round of “Ask Me Anything.” One of the questions was about her own personal music taste. Surprisingly, she was quick to give Kendrick Lamar his flowers. “I was listening to To Pimp A Butterfly religiously on the way to school. It was like a phase,” she recalled.

Other standouts from the twerk queen’s playlist include Azealia Banks’ 2012 mixtape, Fantasea, as well as Nicki Minaj’s iconic effort, The Pinkprint. Obviously, the latter two are extremely different in lyrical content from the first. Not to mention a wild contrast from the “Instagram caption bars” Spice has been known to drop.

As HipHopDX notes, the redhead was just 15 when Kung-Fu Kenny delivered TPAB in 2015. It earned a subsequent debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Additionally, it sold 324K units during its first week out.

Spice, on the other hand, is on track to move 14.5K with her Like..? EP later this weekend. It’s likely that the six-track project will debut outside the chart’s top 20. However, it still made a splash across social media.

While her newfound fame has certainly come with plenty of perks, the rising rap star is quickly learning who her real friends are. Recently, Spice shared that she’s had a few people ask her to purchase houses for them now that she’s on the come up.

Azealia Banks Cuts Ties With Parlophone Record Label, Says They’re “Silly Fragile White Liars”

In the past, Azealia Banks has thrown shade at no shortage of fellow celebrities. In particular, she’s been publicly hating on figures like Kanye West, Eminem, and Beyoncé for the internet’s entertainment. Her latest rant, though, finds the “Luxury” artist dissing her own record label.

As Dazed reports, the New Yorker confirmed her deal with Parlophone in November 2022. At the time she took to her Instagram Story to share the good news, writing, “Bitches I just got signed to Warner/Parlophone UK! I’m coming home. I did it. I wasn’t going to let you down.”

The label later verified the news on its own Twitter account. However, it seems the relationship between them and Banks has taken a turn for the worst in the nearly three months since. Earlier this week, she ranted about her experiences in a series of Stories written over a black screen.

“This staff is full of really silly fragile white liars,” she began before dubbing the roster to be “full of corny losers.” Among her fellow signees are acts like Coldplay, David Guetta, and Sam Ryder of Eurovision Song Contest fame. “Like how many idiots does it take to screw in a fucking lightbulb?” the controversial star’s post went on.

It seems Banks is feeling frustration over delays in her music dropping. Her previously teased “New Bottega” single will be available on streaming this week, she says. “That shit was stressing me TF OUT,” the 31-year-old added of working Parlophone.

Of course, she didn’t stop there. “I don’t get dropped, I drop the label,” another Story reads, referencing lyrics from Jay-Z’s “On to the Next One.” Afterward, she wrote “LMAO PUSSIES” for good measure.

At this time, Parlophone hasn’t responded to Banks’ comments.

Banks is famously known for her Instagram antics, and late last year, some fans were concerned that the platform gave her the boot after she publicly dissed Nicki Minaj.
