ASAP Rocky ‘Can’t Even Describe’ How Thrilled He Is About Being A Parent Alongside Rihanna

There are many things rapper ASAP Rocky has to be thankful for this holiday season, most notably his budding new family with music superstar Rihanna. Shortly after going public with their relationship, the couple welcomed their first child in the world in May.

With assault charges and a civil lawsuit lingering over the Harlem native’s head, Rocky is devoting every waking second to his infant son. The “Sh*ttin Me” rapper spoke with Complex‘s Jessica McKinney about how fatherhood has been treating him. This isn’t the first time Rocky has opened up, but it has been the most lengthy statement.

Rocky gushed, “It’s beautiful,” before adding, “Honestly, I think fatherhood gives me more time to do exactly what I want. I don’t have time for anything that isn’t priorities. It helps you prioritize, honestly. I love it. Everything is just based around my newfound love for being a dad and a family man. It’s lit right now. I can’t even describe it. Yo, you see this smile! I’m all smiles right now, man.”

When the rapper isn’t wrapped up in his responsibilities as a father, he’s expanding his budding fashion empire. According to Rocky, that’s precisely how he likes it: “I’m in a place where I want to give my all to all of this. All I have is my craft, my art, and my family. That’s just my life. I just want to give motherf*ckers some dope sh*t. They’re going to see. It’s going to be ill.”

A$AP Rocky Says Moshpit Photo Is the Result Someone “Squeezing Life” Out His Genitalia

In case you missed it, A$AP Rocky’s face during a moshpit has become the Internet’s new favorite meme.

As fans and members of the Hip-hop community like Tyler, the Creator, laugh at seemingly Rocky’s pain, the Harlem rapper revealed what was really going on in the madness of the Rolling Loud fans.

Hitting the comments of The Panic Room, Rocky revealed the reason for his facial expression: “That shit not funny , sum lil bih was squeezing life out my nutz b”

But back to Tyler, the Creator who is having a field day with this meme.

Tyler The Creator Immortalizes ASAP Rocky’s Mosh Pit Mishap On A Birthday Cake

Tyler The Creator may have chilled out a bunch from his early days terrorizing the music world and raising hell for the fun of it, but he’s still quite the mischievous scamp when he wants to be. Lately, the main target of his pranks appears to be ASAP Rocky, whose recent struggles to exit a mosh pit during his abridged Rolling Loud headlining set have given Tyer plenty of fodder for his antics. After trolling Rocky by turning his profile pic into a screenshot of Rocky’s distressed face from the video, Tyler upped the ante, getting the photo printed on a birthday cake for Odd Future member Jasper Dolphin (Rocky’s birthday is next week, so don’t be surprised to see a repeat).

ASAP Rocky and Tyler The Creator’s friendship appears to be both endearing and excruciating as the two have pestered each other and collaborated repeatedly throughout the years. There was a bit of a troll war on Instagram Live a couple of years ago and before that, Tyler shared his joy at Rocky’s release from Swedish jail by chasing the Harlem rapper around the studio. But for all that, they’ve got a lot of loyalty too; while Rocky was locked up, Tyler vowed to never tour Sweden again.

A$AP Rocky Reacts To Viral Mosh Pit Moment: “Sh** Not Funny”

A$AP Rocky was on an all time high after an epic performance as headliner at Rolling Loud NYC 2022 over the weekend. The new dad put on for his city, performing a few of his classic hit records, including  “Grim Freestyle,” “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2 (LPFJ2)” and the live debut his track “Sights.” Unfortunately for fans, Rocky cut his set short after performing nine songs. But the Harlem rapper apologized shortly after and took “full responsibility for the circumstances.”

“I am so hurt right now!” he tweeted Sunday night. “Last night was supposed to be a turning point in my live show from the old to new!  I prepared the best show for my fans, detail for detail, over the course of MONTHS. I was unfortunately not able to bring my vision to fruition and Im hurt about that and I want to apologize to all of my fans.” Despite his set being coming to early end, festival goers did get a chance to get up close and personal with the star as he dove in to the mosh pit.

While it seemed exciting to Rocky to be amongst the crowd at first, things took a turn as the rapper became overwhelmed in the sea of people. Footage of the intense moment spawned a slew of memes, mocking the “Purple Swag” rapper’s panicked expression.

Rocky had a different reaction than the folks on the Internet. He commented on a viral photo of himself in the mosh pit, letting it be known that it wasn’t as hilarious as it seemed. “That sh** not funny,” he wrote. “Sum lil bit was squeezing the life out my n**z, b.” Aside from the mosh moment, Rocky’s set at Rolling Loud still had fans excited for what’s next to come from the A$AP Mob frontman.

Earlier this month, he teased his collaboration with Playboi Carti, entitled, “Our De$tiny.” Check out a snippet below.

Is ASAP Rocky’s New Album Still Titled ‘All Smiles?’

After waiting for over four years for ASAP Rocky’s new album, the Harlem rapper’s fans may soon be satisfied. Over the weekend, Rocky pledged that his Rolling Loud headlining set on Saturday would be his last live performance until the album was released, suggesting that it might be sooner rather than later (after all, artists can only go so long without performing and touring). Rocky also recently shared a new single with Playboi Carti on Instagram, lending some heft to speculation that the album will be arriving soon.

However, it might do so under a different title than previously expected. In a May interview with Dazed digital magazine, Rocky told Suzy Exposito that the album would not be called All Smiles as had been previously rumored. “You know, I never publicly said that my album was called All Smiles!” he said. “That one is more of a concept project, it’s music and more. I’m wrapping up the new album now.”

From Rocky’s comments, it sounds like there are actually two projects on the way: “All Smiles,” whatever that will be, and a proper album. Of course, with Rocky being so cagey with details about the album, fans are naturally going to speculate; now, they seem to have decided that the album will be called Grim, sharing memes and tweets with that album, seemingly based on a custom belt buckle he had made with the ominous-sounding word studded in diamonds.

Whatever the album will be called, Rocky’s most hardcore fans will almost certainly continue to agitate for it as Rocky himself adjusts to being a dad and prepares for an assault case in the alleged shooting of ASAP Relli.

ASAP Rocky Says His Rolling Loud Performance Will Be His Last Until He Finishes His Album

Prior to ASAP Rocky‘s performance at NYC’s Rolling Loud festival this weekend, he revealed that it would be his last live show… at least until he finishes his next album. In a social media post Rocky shared of a pretend magazine, it included the tease caption of “His last show until the album.” There is no current release date, so fans are left unsure on when he’ll take the stage again.

During his Saturday headlining set, however, Rocky had to end the show early, at just nine songs in. While he brought out a number of guests from Pharrell to Tyler The Creator, it was cut short due to a noise ordinance by the festival.

“I am so hurt right now! Last night was supposed to be a turning point in my live shows from the old to new!” Rocky said. “I will take full responsibility for the circumstances of what led to last night’s show being everything it was and everything it wasn’t.”

“I also want to acknowledge that even tho I prepared the best show for my fans, detail for detail , over the course of MONTHS…” he continued. “I was unfortunately not able to bring my vision to fruition and I’m hurt about that and I want to apologize to all of my fans and continued supporters, and thank y’all for showing up for me regardless!!”

ASAP Rocky Addresses His Short Rolling Loud New York Set: ‘I Am So Hurt Right Now’

A$AP Rocky teased that Rolling Loud in New York City’s Citi Field on Saturday night (September 24) would be “his last show until the album.” Turns out, Rocky’s fans will only have 30 minutes to tide them over. The Harlem-bred rapper expressed disappointment over his short set that saw him bring out Glorilla and French Montana.

“I am so hurt right now!” Rocky wrote in a note posted to Twitter on Sunday afternoon (September 25). “Last night was supposed to be a turning point in my live shows from the old to new! I will take full responsibility for the circumstances of what led to last nights show being everything it was and everything it wasn’t.”

The 33-year-old continued: “I also want to acknowledge that even tho I prepared the best show for my fans, detail for detail , over the course of MONTHS… I was unfortunately not able to bring my vision to fruition and Im hurt about that and I want to apologize to all of my fans and continued supporters, and thank y’all for showing up for me regardless!! A$AP4EVA.”

According to TMZ, Rocky was supposed to begin his set at 8:55 p.m. local time “but didn’t go on until a good 45 minutes later,” and the set was cut short by Rolling Loud organizers “because of a noise ordinance.”

Rocky took the stage with “Grim Freestyle” followed by “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2.” Midway through, he performed “Sights,” his new collaborative single with Playboi Carti, for the first time. Then, Glorilla joined for a rendition of her breakthrough hit “FNF (Let’s Go),” and Rocky closed out the abbreviated set alongside French Montana for “Mopstick.”

Throughout, Rocky spent time between songs calling for fans to “open that b*tch” for mosh pits, which resulted in the meme treatment. Tyler, the Creator went as far as switching his Instagram profile picture to the circulating photo of a struggling Rocky in the subpar pit.

Rocky didn’t have to endure the internet’s wrath for too long, though. Shortly after posting his apology, Rihanna confirmed she is the halftime performer for Super Bowl LVII on February 12, 2023. The couple welcomed their first child earlier this year.
