When it comes to a Lauryn Hill performance of any kind, you are going to have to expect the unexpected. While health issues are certainly a more than fair reason to put shows on hold, fans are still going to feel some type of way when cancelations become normal. Hill has always been extremely defensive when it comes to this topic, stating that it’s the media obsession with “sensationalism and clickbait headlines”. Additionally, she’s even told fans directly, “Y’all lucky I make it on this… stage every night”. While it certainly is a treat to be able to hear her play her songs in a live setting, the constant delays aren’t going to be able to leave supporters minds that easy.

Just take last night for example in Nairobi, Kenya. Ms. Lauryn Hill was scheduled to hit the stage at the Walker Town festival at 8 p.m. local time. But according to some tweets gathered by AllHipHop, one upset fan said, “Lauryn Hill was supposed to perform at 8 pm in Nairobi and was >4hrs late, finishing her set at 4.30/5.00 am… on a Monday?! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂”. To be fair, though, her and sound team were forced to deal with horrific technical issues throughout the performance.

Lauryn Hill Has Her Fanbase In Kenya Furious

On top of that, the soundcheck was not fully completed until hours later. However, it wasn’t just the concertgoers that were voicing their frustrations on Twitter. Residents close to the festivities were not too happy about the fireworks show that still went on after Lauryn’s time on stage. “Those fireworks at that hour on a Monday morning weren’t necessarily #WalkerTownNairobi. 10 whole minutes. I’m not even in #Kasa and they’ve got me spooked”, one tired person said. At this time, Hill has yet to respond to the backlash. But overall, it seems like it was just a mess of a night all around, with most of it being out of her control.

If you head over to X (formerly Twitter), you are going to see a lot of angry reactions over Sabrina Carpenter narrowly defeating La Flame in the intense sales battle. Overall, that isn’t really news. However, what is interesting is the fact that fans of Travis Scott are accusing Billboard of tampering with the final results. According to an account by the name of In The Mix, they came across some apparent video evidence of this “robbery”.

In the allegedly accurate footage, a user is navigating the Music Connect platform and heads over to a “Daily Billboard 200” data base. After clicking on it, it shows the week in which the sales would be tallied, August 22-29. As you’ll be able to see, the results before the final recount show that Scott was actually ahead of Sabrina, 365,817 to 354,436. Of course, the official results were 362,000 to 361,000 in favor of the pop hitmaker. Furthermore, it shows that DAYS BEFORE RODEO was whaling on Short n’ Sweet in terms of physical sales, 333,582 to 177,382.

Travis Scott Fans Claim To Have Proof Of Billboard’s Shenanigans

Conversely, the actual numbers were 331,000 for Scott and 184,000 for Carpenter. For context, the clip was posted on X about 12 hours ago, quite a bit after the last count was announced. Overall, the fans could have valid evidence, but it’s definitely hard to be 100% sure. Billboard, among others, go back forth on whether or not include bundles, deluxe versions, and etc. into the total. In this case, if this video is true then there may be a chance that they removed some sales. Or there could have been an honest mistake and they did in fact include all of the different packages each artist offered.

Nicki Minaj Delivers Strong Warning To Fan Who’s Suing Her For $5 Million

Nicki Minaj is facing a $5 million lawsuit from a fan by the name of Tameer Peak, who is seeking compensation for reputational harm, emotional distress, and financial loss. In the lawsuit he filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Peak claims he’s been a dedicated fan of the rapper for the last 15 years and even worked passionately to promote her latest album, Pink Friday 2. However, Minaj allegedly accused him of being a being “paid mole” and even invited him to her hotel room, just to hop on Instagram Live and embarrass him in front of 100,000 fans. She also accused him of being a “stalker” and more.

Minaj responded to the lawsuit in a statement provided to TMZ on Sunday. “Mr. Peak has been harassing Nicki on social media for years on end to no avail,” her attorney, Judd Burstein, told the outlet. “He has now graduated to seeking to shake her down financially with manifestly false allegations and legally frivolous claims. He will regret having gone down this disreputable road when he is forced to pay her legal fees as required by California law.”

In the comments section, fans appeared enraged that there haven’t been updates on his postponed A Lil Tour dates. He indefinitely postponed the shows, last month, due to a “medical emergency.”

“Go on a f*cking tour and stop promoting bs if your money low,” one fan wrote in the comments. “I love u tho no diddy.” Another remarked: “ANYWAY!! I intend to be back on the road soon,” he said in a statement from Live Nation. “Thank you, I love y’all.” It remains unclear when he’ll be able to get back out on the road. Drake Fan Who Punched Rick Ross Trolls Him With New Diss Track, “White Boy”

The Drake fan who punched Rick Ross at a festival in Canada in June has taunted the “Champagne Moments” rapper with a diss track of his own titled, “White Boy.” On the song, the fan, who goes by the name, Icarus, accuses Ross of running for the exits amidst the brawl and leaving his DJ behind. “Capping on the ‘Gram, you was stumbling out the gate / Searching for the exit, left your DJ like some bait / Fed him to the demons, too conceited to explain / You a bird and a bitch, I clipped your wings, stop the games,” Icarus raps.

The incident went down in Vancouver at the Ignite Music Festival after Ross played Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” while leaving the stage. He, as well as Lamar, had been feuding with the Toronto rapper for weeks at that point. He even dissed Drake on “Champagne Moments”

Kanye West’s Official Version Of “LIFESTYLE” Sparks Debate On Whether Or Not The Demo Is Better

It appears that all Kanye West is doing with VULTURES 2 is making fans angry. To be honest, it’s completely fair criticism. After waiting on the sequel to the inaugural VULTURES 1 for months, the album still sounds extremely unfinished. It especially doesn’t help that a lot of the songs were known about for years thanks to the leak community and DONDA 2. Of course, there are a few ride-or-die supporters of Ye trying to defend the project. Ultimately, though, the amount of disappointment far outweighs the love being shown to this debatably even worse LP. Some predicted this would happen, but some were still holding out hope for Kanye West because of songs like “LIFESTYLE”.

Hip-hop Twitter (now X) is having quite the field day picking VULTURES 2 to pieces. “LIFESTYLE” is one of the handful of songs that Kanye West had hype around thanks to a demo that had been floating around the internet. However, when you listen to each version side-by-side, you can see why fans are confused and upset. Instead of having Ty Dolla $ign sing the chorus –who the better singing voice — Ye instead takes the reins, and it sounds like a non-artist singing in the shower. Additionally, the instrumental is mixed much better, which is another big gripe that people have with VULTURES 2.

It seems like Twitter Spaces is the new platform for rappers and the hip-hop community to really get some conversations going. Over the last 72 hours or so, Lupe Fiasco and Joe Budden have been trending on the social media platform for their headline-rich debates with fans. The latter of the two was the latest to host one and the Chicago native decided to join the chat room. In their dialogue, Lupe cleared up some comments he made on his Spaces event this past weekend about his alleged beef with Kendrick Lamar. That subsequently led Joe Budden to address the narrative surrounding him that he dislikes Drake as well.

Another thing that both of their Twitter Spaces share is that at least one fan became upset with the host. As you can hear below, this passionate Drake Stan was not having any of Joe’s slander. He likened the rapper turned podcaster hopping on Spaces to Lamar’s “I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk” bar on “euphoria”.
