After all, this legendary group of artists came together for their N.Y. State Of Mind tour across North America, Europe, and Australia, and their Seattle show at the Climate Pledge Arena on next Wednesday (October 18) will be very special. Well, it’ll be special for all the reasons their shows are already so stellar, but for this unable to attend or those who haven’t seen these MCs onstage, this will catch their eye. Amazon Music will stream the show in full, they announced today (Thursday, October 12) as part of their 50 & Forever celebration of rap music.

Furthermore, these artists kept up this run of shows from 2022 all the way to now, which is incredibly impressive. As such, if you missed them, there’s no doubt that you will enjoy this livestream. Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, and De La Soul are set to hit the stage on the 18th at 8PM PDT, with Amazon’s Rotation Roundtable hip-hop talk show streaming right before at 7PM PDT. Of course, this can’t compare to the experience of witnessing these New York rap legends live, but the stream will still convey a lot of that energy. Each rapper runs through their verses with ease, cover plenty of their eras, and keep up with the crowd’s energy. If nothing else, it’s just incredible to see how the years haven’t aged these performers one bit, as they remain as passionate and skilled as ever. It’s also quite the heartening and emotional live performance, not just because of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, but because of the recent passing of De La Soul member Trugoy The Dove.

Meanwhile, it’s incredible that amid this trek, Nas was still able to deliver some heat with his Hit-Boy collaborative albums. Overall, this is something that any rap fan can watch an appreciate from the comfort of their homes now. So save the date, read up on their lyrics, and get ready for a throwback like no other. For more news and updates on the Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, and De La Soul, keep checking in with HNHH.

Lil Durk Recruits Machine Gun Kelly For Amazon Music Show, Performs With Kids In Chicago

Recently, Lil Durk teamed up with Machine Gun Kelly to perform his 2020 track “The Voice” live. The performance was part of the second season of Amazon Music Live, and took place in L.A. last week. In clips making their rounds online, MGK can be seen shredding on an electric guitar as Durk spits lyrics to the heartfelt track.

Amazon Music Live, hosted by 2 Chainz, will also feature performances from Metro Boomin, Latto, and more in coming weeks. Durk bringing MGK out for the show wasn’t the only moving live moment the Chicago-born performer’s had recently, however. Last week, he also surprised his hometown fans at Soldier Field, putting on a surprise halftime show at the Chicago Fire’s home game with local children.

Lil Durk And MGK Perform “The Voice”

The performer can be seen performing his hit song “All My Life” as the kids dance and sing along. From the looks of things, the sold-out crowd was having a blast. The Chicago Fire beat Inter Miami 4-1, though some fans were disappointed that Lionel Messi sat the game out due to an injury.

At the game, Durk also revealed that he’d be sending 30 students to Harvard next spring. The investment is part of his foundation, Neighborhood Heroes, which strives to make positive change in local communities. The artist spoke with NBC about his intentions, revealing that he’s just looking to provide opportunities that he wasn’t so fortunate to have growing up. He explained that he wasn’t able to graduate himself, and now that he’s got the resources to do so, he wants to “take it to the next level” with young people in Chicago.

Is Nicki Minaj’s ‘Queen Radio’ Canceled Due To Amp’s End?

On Wednesday, Amazon announced the end of its live streaming audio service Amp. According to Bloomberg, the service was launched in May 2022 as a competitor for chat apps like Clubhouse and Twitter’s Spaces feature (both of which have also since shut down), while CNBC reports the decision was made in the wake of a “sweeping review” of Amazon’s expenses by Amazon CEO Andy Jassy. Per Business Insider, Amp had failed to meet internal goals for months.

Is Nicki Minaj’s Queen Radio Canceled Due To Amp’s End?

Amp, which operated a bit like its competitors but allowed users to play licensed music and take “callers” while on the air, thus encouraging a “radio show” style format, had hip-hop stars like Big Boi, Joe Budden, Nicki Minaj, and Pusha T as part of its launch and their shows and events were expected to draw plenty of users. However, that is clearly not how it turned out. As an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement, “We’ve made the difficult decision to close Amp. We learned a lot about how live music communities interact in the process, which we are bringing to bear as we build new fan experiences at scale in Amazon Music.”

As far as what happens to those shows now that Amp is shuttering, that remains to be seen. Amazon Music currently hosts its own exclusive podcasts, so it’s possible that it’ll fold shows like Queen Radio into its existing lineup and simply stream them from that platform instead. Like Spotify, which also shuttered its own Clubhouse clone earlier this year, Amazon has been increasing its focus on traditional podcasts, so if the Amp shows can be suitably revamped to fit the format, it’s entirely possible that Queen Radio will return in some form before long.

The closest Drake has come to confirming the date came during a recent stop on the It’s All a Blur tour. He told the audience in New York City: “Make new friends. If you drink, drink some liquor. If you smoke, smoke some weed. And if you like somebody, like my dad says, keep f*cking. I will be back soon. I have an album dropping for you in, like, two weeks or some sh*t. But until then, just know, you’re always with me and I’m always thinking of you. Everything I do is for you. Every time I step in that booth, I hope I make you proud.” Check out Amazon Music’s reveal of the release date below.

Rick Ross Proclaims He Can Release An Album In Two Days

For well over a decade, Maybach Music Group head Rick Ross has had a prolific music catalog. On Spotify, he boasts 10 projects and five deluxe versions, along with countless singles. Furthermore, he has certified classics under his belt such as “Aston Martin Music,” “Hustlin,’” and so many others. So, it came as no surprise during a recent interview, that Ross said he can get out a new album in 48 hours.

This bold claim was made during a recent interview broadcast by Amazon Music through a Twitch live stream. Ross was asked to decide between two of his earliest and most important releases, Rich Forever (2012) and his EP Albert Anastasia (2010). For him, it was an easy choice, stating that Albert Anastasia essentially laid the foundation for who he is as an artist. “That’s when dudes was understanding how I can play with my words and how easy it was.” He continues, “I could go in there and put an album together in 48 hours.”

Self-confidence is nothing new for Ricky Rozay. It is arguably one of the largest reasons why he is so successful in the hip-hop genre. However, this recent statement is just one of a few he has dished out over the past month or so. An example of this is Ross and the host of the “Breakfast Club” DJ Envy, continuing to feud online. Back in May, he took a distasteful shot at Envy’s wife, offering a “one-time opportunity.” Ross went to Instagram Live to promote this “job opening” and let’s just say it was suggestive.

“It’s the Biggest Boss.” He goes on, “I’m providing jobs. DJ Envy-ous, I got a job for your girlfriend. My pickleball paddle polisher! You hear me? Let her know.” While they cleaning the pools…” Ross then swings the paddle back and forth in what is most likely with an inappropriate intention. What do you think about Rick Ross and his brags?
