Travis Scott Is “Back In Album Mode”

Travis Scott once had fans thirsting for UTOPIA for five years straight, but now, it seems like he’s more excited than ever to keep making art. Moreover, that 2023 album is still beloved and highly successful thanks to its replay value and its ongoing tours, and he just re-released his fan-favorite 2014 mixtape DAYS BEFORE RODEO on streaming services for the first time ever to much acclaim and sales controversy. As such, it might surprise you to hear that La Flame is apparently already working on his next full-length effort. He revealed this during a new Cultured magazine interview with legendary visual artist George Condo.

“I’m gonna be back in New York,” Travis Scott remarked. “I’m back in album mode. I’ve been working on music and s**t every day on tour. When I’m doing the stadiums, because they’re sold out, I can see the music for what it is. I’m f***ing amped.” “We’ve always approached everything from scratch, not doing loops,” he said of his overall creative process when it comes to making music. “Taking music back to the real raw art. Cooking things instead of having them passed down.”

Of course, this isn’t really something new for Travis Scott in concept. He followed up ASTROWORLD with the JACKBOYS EP the next year, plus a slew of singles up until UTOPIA dropped. Also, let’s not forget the massive hype that formed around ASTROWORLD before Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight had even dropped back in 2016. But considering the precedent that the Houston rapper’s five-year wait created, this should be a very exciting preview for fans. Let’s just hope it’s legit. After all, we’ve already had some canceled sneaker color-ways this year…

Jokes aside, we’ll see in due time what Travis Scott’s next full-length looks like. Whether it comes around quickly in 2025 or it’s the start of a years-long process, we’re sure that the results will impress, inspire, and engage. Meanwhile, fans are still salty about the sales battle between Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet and DAYS BEFORE RODEO. But selling over 360K copies of a ten-year-old mixtape is a larger flex than most No. 1 chart debuts.

Future Declares He’s ‘Locked in Album Mode’ on Twitter

Future Declares He's 'Locked in Album Mode' on Twitter

Future is ready to create the follow-up to I NEVER LIKED YOU, one of the best albums of 2022. Hitting Twitter, Future let off a simple statement: “Locked in album mode.”

Details on the album are slim as of writing, but on May 1, Pluto did reveal he was working with Metro Boomin. Could that be the project he’s working on? We hope so.

Metro Boomin’ hinted at a collaboration album with Future once, then he doubled down on it, teasing the album in his Instagram recap of Coachella.

After a 10+ year journey it was surreal to perform @coachella in front of 20k+ with my brother @future 🦅🦅🦅 Metro Pluto album otw🔥🔥🔥🔥 #TROCHELLA

Lil Tjay Is In Album Mode, Hints At A Broken Heart

As he previously teased, Lil Tjay is officially in album mode, although it seems things have changed in his life since his last update. Moreover, he recently posted some pictures of him in Denmark, plus a TikTok of a hyped crowd watching him perform in Hamburg, Germany. However, his caption hints at him missing a special someone by his side, which might just motivate him even more to bring fans heat. “I USED 2 WANNA CEE THE WORLD WIT YOU… ALBUM MODEEEE,” he captioned his slideshow. Maybe that’s just to build conversation around his drop, and if so, it’s certainly working.

Amid his European tour, many of his rap peers gassed him up in the comments, like Scorey and PGF Nuk. What’s more is that the hinted heartbreak might even be a reference to some of his earlier material. Furthermore, in the chorus of his track “In My Head,” he raps, “These feelings been stuck in my head, ain’t too big on love, but with you, I’m all for it. See the world, me and you, we can tour it.” As such, whether it’s a direct reference or not, maybe he’ll take a different thematic approach to love on his album’s new cuts.

Lil Tjay Hints At Being Disappointed, But Excites Fans With Latest IG Post

However, that doesn’t mean that the New York MC is completely averse to love at this point- or that he dodged rumors of a romance between him and Ice Spice. For those unaware, these speculations sparked when he gifted his “Gangsta Boo” collaborator a Richard Millie watch around Valentine’s Day. Even though many fans were excited about a new Big Apple couple, sources close to Spice said that it was just a gift to celebrate their collab. Of course, the song saw massive success, so it is worth a $150K time reader, but the timing ironically suggested something deeper.

Meanwhile, that caption could also refer to friends in his inner circle not being around anymore, albeit for very different reasons. Recently, the 21-year-old exposed someone in his camp for snitching on him. Whether it’s for heartbreak or betrayal, at least Tjay seemed to distract himself from those feelings with a great tour around Europe. Regardless, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Tjay and his next album.

Offset Announces He’s In “Album Mode” After Takeoff’s Passing Prompted Delay

After delaying work on his sophomore solo LP following the tragic death of his cousin Takeoff, Offset recently revealed he’s back in “album mode.” Moreover, the former Migos member took to his Instagram Story to let fans know he’s hard at work on his next release. In fact, he had quite the busy weekend, as he attended Vanity Fair‘s post-Oscars party with his wife, Cardi B. At that gathering, he wore a jewel-covered face mask reminiscent of Kanye West’s Yeezus era. If that’s a sign, it looks like the Atlanta icon will either bring us his foray into industrial hip-hop or simply a new, unexpected turn in his career.

Furthermore, he recently released the track “2 LIVE” with Hit-Boy, which could be a pretty remarkable partnership. Unfortunately, though, the tragic loss of fellow Migo Takeoff brought a rift into some of Offset’s other relationships. For example, his battles and back-and-forths with J. Prince since Take’s passing became a morbid spectacle online. Not only are these two men in grieving, but both are already antagonized in this situation and chose to take things further in that direction. However, he did clear up some fake news that Prince was arrested for threatening him, which was not true at all.

Offset’s In “Album Mode”

Meanwhile, the rapper recently attended an NBA game, the same one that Quavo went to, and sat separately. Moreover, that’s another relationship that was apparently strained long before tragedy struck the trap group pioneers. Still, many hoped that in its aftermath, they could heal in the face of something much more tragic and pressing. With no luck, it seems the two still have their conflicts, which hopefully can mull over soon for both.

Despite these obstacles, Offset remains an important and impactful figure in the rap world. Recently, the Atlanta-Fulton Foundation gifted him the Legacy in Hip-Hop award from the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus. “Recognizing the many contributions you make to not only music but most importantly our community,” they wrote on Instagram. “Continue to give of yourself for betterment of the community.” Considering that, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Offset. Also, if you’re curious, check out the bejeweled face mask he wore to the Vanity Fair party below.

Future Says He’s “In Album Mode”

Future says that he’s in “album mode” as he preps his tenth studio album. The iconic Atlanta rapper made the announcement in a post on Twitter, Wednesday. “Im in album mode,” he wrote in the succinct tweet. He didn’t provide any further details as to what fans can expect from the project, nor when it will release. The post does come after Metro Boomin recently teased working on a full-length project with Future.

“[Future] actually finished most of the album at my studio in LA. That’s my brother, but we’re working on some things. At first, we were going to put a couple of songs with me and him on the album, but we had took them off because I had talked to him,” Metro told Ebro Darden in an interview. “I was like, ‘Look, the last time anybody’s really heard a song from me and you was ‘Mask Off.’ So instead of us randomly throwing one or two songs we did on here, we got to wait and just give them a joint.’”

Future’s Announcement

Future previously spoke about his untitled tenth studio album during an interview with Billboard, in November. At the time, he explained that his current goal is to become a billionaire. “A lot of money,” he said, when asked what he wants from the project. “That’s a lot of damn money. My main focus right now is just to do something I never done. One thing I never done is make a billion dollars. I ain’t done that, so I’m focused on that.”

“Sometimes I ask questions, if I meet a billionaire, like, ‘How’d you get to where you got?’ Or, ‘How’d you accomplish everything that you have?’” he explained. “I have those conversations with different people, successful people. But the way I get mine might be different. It just helps me to understand that I’m on the right path when I talk to people that have billions. When I hear them talk, I be like, ‘OK, I’m on the right path.’ They reassure me that I’m doing the right thing. No matter what my music career is, I want to just be able to have that friend, somebody that always has my back, [and] just priceless individuals getting me wherever I need to go. Even when it’s going crazy for me, I know I have priceless people around me. I got unconditional love.”

Future’s announcement comes after his latest album, I Never Liked You, was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2023 Grammy Awards. The project debuted atop the US Billboard 200, back in April, while earning 222,000 album-equivalent units. Future ended up losing Best Rap Album to Kendrick Lamar.
