Key Glock Puts In “Work” On New Single

DJ Khaled had a sweet message for Rihanna ahead of her Super Bowl halftime show later today (February 12). Moreover, the We The Best mogul spoke to Page Six at Michael Rubin’s Fanatics party at the Arizona Biltmore. While he celebrated Super Bowl weekend along with dozens of A-list stars, he’s more excited for the grand event than anything else. In fact, RiRi and Khaled previously worked on the track “Wild Thoughts” together, which became one of that year’s biggest hits. Before she hits the stage and wows us all, the New Orleans-born hitmaker gave her some encouraging words.

“RiRi, I love you so much,” he expressed. “Congratulations in advance. They changed the name of Super Bowl. It’s called ‘RiRi Super Bowl.’ I’mma have my airhorn ready and I’m going to order me a cheeseburger well done. I’mma sit back, relax, watch the show… come on! It’s Super Bowl!” Also, the publication asked Khaled whether he’d be performing as a special guest. “I’m coming as a fan and Rihanna’s my sister,” he stated, dancing around the inquiry. “I can’t wait to see it. Hitkidd Drops Female Rap Posse Cut Single, “You The Type”

“F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” producer Hitkidd just released “You the Type” with Aleza, K Carbon, Slimeroni, and Gloss Up. Overall, it’s a fiery and hard-hitting trap cut with great energy from every single female MC. In fact, they’re all from GloRilla’s clique, with whom the producer made their breakout track last year. Furthermore, each rapper gets a moment of shine via short and sweet verses that don’t let the energy up. As far as the instrumental, it’s just as murderous and bass-heavy as you’d expect from a Memphis production. However, it feels particularly dramatic or menacing thanks to low piano chords and regal melodies.

Unfortunately, the “F.N.F.” collaborators had a small falling out a couple of months ago as GloRilla and Hitkidd discussed contract issues. However, the producer’s longtime business partner Kadeem Phillips provided a third perspective, albeit from Hitkidd’s camp. “Glo independently collects money for FNF its all hers she just doesnt own the song and never will,” he wrote. “We actually saved her from losing millions and Glo was able to get a deal without having to sell her independent record. FNF was created to help all the girls not for CMG.”

EDM producers DVBBS just tapped Wiz Khalifa for their own spin on a viral track with “Sh Sh Sh (Hit That).” Moreover, its inspiration “Hit That” by Urfavxboyfriend and Goldsoul caught a lot of attention recently on TikTok. The original’s a dark but oddly charismatic trap cut, thanks to the whooshy mouthed sounds of gunfire from the artists. After its success, DVBBS loved what they heard and reached out to all artists involved to do a collab together. Furthermore, their take on “Hit That” is a house and jungle-inspired dance cut that mixes the original’s verses with heavy kicks and a Wiz verse.

However, the track still switches up its genre of choice and its instrumental pallet quite often in the track. Sure, it only lasts two minutes and change, but its short sweetness means she punched in a lot of passion quickly. From the opening string melody, complemented with bright and soothing glockenspiel, the track continues its mellow trajectory. Moreover, the 27-year-old’s vocals soar prominently as the track’s main draw. Even if the instrumental backdrop is undoubtedly wondrous, it’s not enough to lessen the angst in Tink’s vocals.
