Lil Uzi Vert Played Santa For Their Girlfriend JT, Gifting Her An Extravagant Gold Watch For Christmas

Lil Uzi Vert and their partner, City Girls’ JT, had quite an extravagant holiday, based on a new Instagram Story. JT posted that Uzi got her a gold Richard Mille watch, which HipHopDX has noted ranges in cost from “$60,000 to $1.3 million.”

While it’s still unclear how much Uzi exactly spent, JT’s watch is definitely fancy, so it’s safe to say it was still a lot. “Thank you Santa vert,” she captioned the picture with a pink heart.

Back in November, it was also speculated that the rapper power couple had split. JT herself had tweeted “SINGLE!” — but it seems now that it could have been referring to a song rather than her relationship status. Plus, as recently as July, she shared a heartfelt Instagram post for Uzi’s birthday. (It has since been removed.)

“I love you uzi,” JT wrote. “I’m crying making this post because you are literally a dream come true! I feel like with everything I been through in life you are one of my greatest rewards! I wake up everyday to either your frown or smile …either works for me, as long as you’re right there.

“You are my best friend, my twin flame. you work so hard, you deserve the world!” she added. “I love everything about you… from your main character energy to still being able to make me feel like I’m the only person in the room! I saw you go through so much & in those times you still held me down.”

Lil Uzi Vert is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Fat Joe Labels Tems’ “Free Mind” The Song Of The Year

Fat Joe says that Tems’ 2020 breakthrough hit, “Free Mind,” is his favorite song of the year. He discussed the track during a recent live stream on Instagram.

“It’s the biggest in the game,” he said, while the track played in the background. “I played this because to me, this is the song of the year.”

“Song of the year to me,” he added. “I don’t know about you.”

Despite Joe naming the track as his favorite of 2022, the song was actually released two years ago on Tems’ debut EP, For Broken Ears.

To be fair to Joe, the track found mainstream success earlier this year, following Tems’ numerous collaborations. She worked with Future and Drake for “WAIT FOR U,” Wizkid for “Essence,” and Drake again for “Fountains.” Tems also helped write Rihanna’s single, “Lift Me Up,” for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever original soundtrack. She also covered Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” for the film.

“Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor,” she said at the time.

When “Wait for U” debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, Tems became the first African artist to debut at number one and the second Nigerian artist to top the chart.

“Free Mind” eventually reached No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay after 33 weeks. Billboard reports it to be “the second-longest climb to the summit in the chart’s 30-year history.” As for the Hot 100, the song peaked at No. 46.

Kevin Durant Reacts To Passing Tim Duncan On All-Time Scoring List

Kevin Durant is easily one of the best players to ever step on a basketball court. When all is said and done, he will likely end up top 10 on the overall list of greatest players. Having said that, he is far from finished when it comes to blessing us with his immense talent.

Durant and the Brooklyn Nets are currently on a tear. This includes a ninth win in a row last night, against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Durant was sensational, yet again, and he even hit a huge milestone during the game. Simply, he passed Tim Duncan for 15th on the all-time scorer’s list.

Kevin Durant Speaks

Overall, this is one of those achievements that speaks volumes to Durant’s career. Subsequently, Durant was asked about the feat and how he feels about it all. As one can imagine, Durant is very excited. However, he remained humble noting that this is something he wants to speak with his friends and family about.

“My career to be able to pass an all-time great, legend, somebody who changed the game, it’s something that I’ll call my folks tonight and talk over and just reminisce on how we got here,” Durant said.

KD is currently in the midst of forging a legacy for himself in Brooklyn. It hasn’t always been easy for him, however, he seems to be doing a great job right now. He and Kyrie Irving are playing at a whole new level and at this point, the Nets need to be considered as potential title contenders.

Kim Kardashian Says That She “Hated” 2018 White House Visit

Kim Kardashian says that she “hated” the way she felt while visiting the White House in 2018. Kardashian reflected on the trip during her recent appearance on the Angie Martinez IRL Podcast.

“I hated how I felt when I went into the White House for the first time and I didn’t know half of anything that they were saying – like all of the clemency talk, and all the attorney lingo and everything that they were talking about,” she said. “I literally was sitting there, like texting my attorney that was next to me.”

Kardashian went to the White House to meet with then-President Donald Trump on behalf of Alice Marie Johnson. Trump later commuted Johnson’s sentence. She had been handed a life sentence in 1996 over nonviolent drug charges.

“I was to the point where I didn’t even know like all of the abbreviations in the White House, so they were like okay this person at the DOJ, and I was like ‘What is the DOJ?’” she continued, before adding, “And my attorney was like, come on Department of Justice and she kept texting me all this stuff but I was never too embarrassed to ask.”

Kardashian added: “I think that sometimes like you go into something and you like I should know all this stuff.”

The White House eventually invited Kardashian back to further discuss clemency.

Kardashian recently studied to receive a law degree. She says that her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian, would be proud of her efforts.

Klay Thompson Revisits Charles Barkley Feud

Klay Thompson has been through a lot this season. At the beginning of the year, he had a very slow start. In fact, there were many people out there calling him washed. Overall, this was a very premature thing to say about Thompson as he eventually came through with a 41-point game back in November.

If you love the Golden State Warriors, you know just how much Thompson means to this franchise. He has helped them win four NBA titles, and he will have his jersey raised to the rafters when all is said and done. Moreover, he is just a great teammate to Steph Curry.

Klay Thompson Vs. The Media

Just last month, Thompson found himself beefing with Charles Barkley and some of his other haters. It was a bit unbecoming, especially since Thompson eventually proved them all wrong. While speaking to Sports Illustrated’s Howard Beck, Thompson revealed how it was a mistake to acknowledge those doubters.

“Yeah, man, I’m mad I even addressed that,” Thompson said. “It’s like, only time will tell. I just gotta hoop and let the talkers talk. Like, what else do I got to prove, man? At this point, it’s all gravy, playing with house money.”

The Warriors have struggled at times this season and with Steph injured, Thompson will have to help lead the way. This is a position he has been in before, and he will certainly be looking to rise to that occasion.

[WATCH] Woman Killed Her Suspected Carjacker And Also Shot 2 Innocent Bystanders

Screen Shot 2022 12 27 at 9.31.22 AM

A Missouri woman is in hot water after she took the law into her own hands when she fatally shot her carjacker.

Police say Demesha Coleman, 35, and an unidentified man, tracked down her stolen Hyundai Tucson at a St. Louis gas station on Wednesday night. She approached the vehicle, opened the car door and fatally shot the alleged carjacker 19-year-old Darius Jackson.

During the mele, two innocent bystanders were also shot. One of them, Joseph Farrar, 49, died at the scene. When officers arrived, they found Jackson lying next to the Tucson and Farrar lying next to one of the gas pumps. Both had been shot in the torso. A third man was found on the far side of the gas station with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

Farrar’s grieving sister told 5 On Your Side her brother was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Michelle Jackson said Farrar went out to get medicine for his 11-year-old son, Joseph Farrar Jr., who had been diagnosed with the flu. The grocery store was closed, so he went to the gas station hoping to find flu medicine there and to fill up his tank.

“My brother is dead because of somebody else’s mess,” said Jackson.

Farrar’s sister said she isn’t mad at Coleman.

“I wish I wish that she would have contacted the authorities, but I understand,” Jackson said. “I will be more mad with the guys that stole her car to put her in this situation because we’re all just one decision away from something like that, making the wrong choice. Because when things happen, we don’t always think, it’s just a reaction. And so I’m not mad with her.”

Coleman was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of 1st-degree murder, one count of assault and three counts of armed criminal action.

Judge Craig Higgins ordered her held without bail. She faces life in prison if convicted.

Brownstone’s Nicci Gilbert Takes Down Awards From Tory Lanez’s “Say It”

Brownstone member Nicci Gilbert says that she’s taking down all the awards she earned from Tory Lanez’s “Say It” in support of Megan Thee Stallion. The track samples Brownstone’s 1994 hit song “If You Love Me.”

“I’m taking these awards down in protest of violence against women. I will not tolerate it under any circumstances,” Gilbert wrote in a post on Instagram.

She continued: “It’s a shame that our community is so broken that we relentlessly attack victims, but I get it. Hurt people hurt people.”

“I pray for Tory as an advocate for artists and creatives,” she wrote before adding, “Tory is a young black man, who became super famous very quickly. This made him a talented creative who lacked the emotional intelligence and development needed to navigate that kind of success. He made a very poor decision, but I believe he will come out of this a better man and artist.”

Gilbert further said: “The artists you see as a windfall are falling hard, and the impact on our community is devastating. Artists have too much access to too many people, who are triggered in one way or another by their successes and failures.”

Additionally, Gilbert says that she’s filing paperwork to return money from the “Say It” single.

Released back in 2015, “Say It” remains one of the most successful songs of Lanez’s career. As his second-highest charting solo track, it peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. Altogether, it spent 24 weeks on the chart.

Lanez is facing 22 years in prison as well as deportation to Canada for the 2020 shooting. A jury in Los Angeles found him guilty of three charges in connection to the attack on Friday. He is currently awaiting sentencing.

Tom Brady Speaks On Looming Retirement Decision

Tom Brady has some massive decisions to make this off-season. Of course, last year, he decided to announce his retirement from football. However, just a month later, he decided to come out of retirement for one more season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Overall, this wasn’t exactly his best decision as the Bucs stand at a record of 7-8. Still, the Buccaneers are in a playoff spot and they are staring down a matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. If Brady can turn things around and win it all, then it will be his most unlikely Super Bowl run to date.

Kendrick Perkins Claims To Have Dirt On Serge Ibaka

Serge Ibaka had some smoke for Kendrick Perkins yesterday as the former NBA star made a snide comment about Serge. This took place during First Take as Perkins was speaking about his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Perkins made a joke about Ibaka faking his age which is a negative trope typically used against African people.

Overall, Ibaka did not appreciate this joke. Subsequently, he took to Twitter where he unleashed a Twitter thread on Perkins. He noted that the stereotype is harmful and that it shouldn’t be used. Furthermore, he even went after Perkins for being a bad teammate who was a snake in the locker room.

“Although I am disappointed I am not surprised to see these actions from someone who got his job by breaking the locker room code and by spreading lies about two of his former teammates and brothers like KD and Russ,” Ibaka wrote. “When KD had a bad game you criticized him behind his back, and when Russ had a bad game then you criticized him. You were not a locker room leader, and then you continued doing the same in the media.”

Prior to seeing these tweets, Perkins actually apologized to Ibaka. He noted that he meant no offense and that he wanted to sincerely apologize. Of course, that energy did not last long.

Kendrick Perkins Claps Back

In the tweet below, Kendrick Perkins actually went scorched earth on Serge Ibaka. He claimed to have some dirt on the player that he will never tell the public. Overall, it was quite the tweet that had fans questioning what Perkins might know.

“Did you say spreading lies at @sergeibaka ?” Perkins wrote. “Please don’t get me started homie!!!! Please don’t. I’m not about to talk about those OKC days and what you were doing in that locker room. I will not… but you definitely need to stop because you know I KNOW!!!! Carry on tho…”

Needless to say, this was not the beef we were expecting this week. Let us know what you think of all of this, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.
