Antonio Brown Alleges Buccaneers Paid Him “Hush Money”

Antonio Brown is someone who is known for speaking out and lashing out at those who have done him wrong. Overall, the former NFL star has gotten himself into plenty of feuds. Moreover, he likes to feud with those who don’t even have anything against him. One could just look at what happened with Tom Brady to understand what we mean here. Regardless, Brown is someone that fans are always paying attention to. His moves on social media are bizarre, and people are curious about what’s going on in his mind.

As you already know, back in 2022, Brown accused the Buccaneers and head coach Bruce Arians of forcing him to play while injured. Ultimately, this is what led to him taking all of his equipment off in the middle of a game and leaving the field. Well, now, he is taking to Twitter to accuse the Buccaneers of paying him $64K worth of hush money. In the tweet below, you can see a piece of paper with the Bucs logo, as well as some bundles of cash.

Antonio Brown Speaks Out

“Thank you @Buccaneers for hush money Settlement playing me while I was hurt now u can Suck my Dick! NFL money rap money,” Brown said. Ultimately, this is a pretty big accusation from Antonio Brown. Teams paying “hush money” is definitely not a good look. Of course, this is mostly just an allegation. The money could have simply been a sum that the Bucs had owed AB regardless. Besides, calling it “Hush Money” definitely defeats the entire purpose, now doesn’t it?

Either way, this is just the typical go around for AB at this point. His Twitter is filled with nonsensical tweets and Kanye West lyrics. Moreover, he has made quite a living post-career thanks to his antics. At this point, he has no reason to stop, even if it might get him in trouble with the league office. No matter what, his playing days are over. Let us know what you think of all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Buccaneers Wide Receiver Russell Gage Suffers Season-Ending Injury

In a spot of bad news for Tampa Bay fans, starting slot receiver Russell Gage has been ruled out of the 2023 season due to a knee injury. Gage was removed from a joint practice with the Jets on August 16 via medical cart. The Buccs confirmed it was a non-contact injury, suffered while Gage was backpedaling in a 7-on-7 drill. “I can tell by the way that he was sitting on the truck that it was probably something that happened pretty bad,” head coach Todd Bowles said. “Our hearts go out to him, and we’ll see how it goes.”

It’s yet another injury for Gage, who struggled with a hamstring issue throughout the spring and into the first days of training camp. Additionally, Gage left the Buccs’ playoff loss to the Cowboys with a concussion that took three weeks to recover from. Last season, he had 426 yards and five touchdowns in 13 appearances. He joined Tampa Bay from Atlanta in 2022 after recording back-to-back seasons with at least 770 yards receiving.

Buccs To Navigate Loss Of Gage

There are more impactful players the Buccs could have lost, but Gage was a solid depth piece. His departure will mean that the Buccs will have to get a little creative at the position. Deven Thompkins is currently sat behind Gage on the depth chart. However, the 2022 undrafted free agent had just 10 targets last season. It’s unclear whether he would be ready to make the leap the Buccs would be looking for from a starting slot receiver. There is also rookie Trey Palmer and free agent signing David Moore but again, neither screams starter.

Of course, this is just another headache for a Buccs team searching for an offensive identity after the retirement of Tom Brady. They are currently rolling with the rollercoaster journeyman Baker Mayfield as QB1. Although their backup if Mayfield falls flat is Kyle Trask, which is less than encouraging. While their receiving core remains great, the position is very much dependent on someone to throw them the ball. Of course, the presumed fall of the Buccs opens up the AFC South for a new champion. But it seems at those the division might be come the league’s joke quartet for the time being.

Leonard Fournette Survives Fiery Incident On Highway

Leonard Fournette is still waiting for his next destination in his NFL career. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers spent the first three seasons of his career in Jacksonville. While the last three have been spent in Tampa Bay. During his time with the Buccaneers, Fournette was a part of the franchise’s second Super Bowl victory. As the Bucs defeated the Kansas City Chiefs behind the stellar play of then-QB Tom Brady. However, all of that seems minuscule at the moment.

On Tuesday, Fournette was involved in a horrifying incident on a Florida highway. According to the reports obtained by ‘TMZ’ Fournette’s vehicle went up in flames while the former LSU star was driving. The issue stemmed from a mechanical mishap, not from a collision. The aftermath of the incident is Fournette’s vehicle completely in ash as the flames engulfed the entire vehicle. However, the running back walked away from the incident with no injuries. Check out the photos from the incident in the tweet shared below.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Continue To Have Saddest QB Battle Of The Offseason

Only a miracle was going to prevent the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from regressing at the quarterback position after the retirement of Tom Brady. After all, how do you replace the greatest quarterback of all time? Furthermore, the Buccaneers are one of the teams that rarely see the value in big trades up or big trades out when it comes to draft capital. This means that they would be unlikely to be aggressive in the draft or to grab a big-name veteran.

However, that has left them with an underwhelming quarterback room to put it nicely. The current starter is listed as Baker Mayfield, the former Browns standout who has become something of a journeyman in recent years. He most recently played for the truly terrible 2022 Rams. After him is Kyle Trask, a 2021 second-round pick that the Buccs hoped could challenge Brady for the starting role. Finally, there’s John Wofford, the former Rams backup who came over with Mayfield in the offseason. That is not the quarterback room of a team that is looking to win a lot of games. Furthermore, it’s been made worse by the footage coming out of the team’s OTAs.

OTA Footage Adds To The Pain Of A Bad QB Battle

In footage shared by Kyle Burger, an ABC anchor in Tampa, the true pain of the Buccaneers’ QB battle was on display. Both Trask and Mayfield were painfully inaccurate, consistently missing targets or forcing overly-difficult catches for their receivers. The only time the pair consistently threw on-target passes was on routes where their receivers were physically stopping and waiting for the pass to come to them.

Granted, it’s early in the offseason workouts and the Buccaneers have plenty of time to figure things out before their September 10 opener in Minnesota. However, even this early in the offseason, you want to be seeing the basic fundamentals from your quarterbacks. The Buccaneers did not make a lot of changes at the wide receiver position, adding five rookies (four undrafted) to their rotation. While Mayfield is a new face on the team, he has been in the NFL since 2018. Meanwhile, Kyle Trask has been with the team since 2021. There is no complete rebuilding of the QB-WR dynamic to blame these bad performances on. Again, it’s early in the offseason but if this doesn’t improve, it’s going to be a long season for Buccaneers fans.

Antonio Brown Claims Tom Brady Yelled At His Agent

Antonio Brown’s departure from the NFL may go down as one of the most memorable moments of all time. Brown decided to ditch his pads in the middle of a game and hit the jets to the locker room. That moment was the final time Brown ever stepped on the field with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, the Pro Bowl receiver now says a lot was going through his mind during that time. Including what would end up being a massive fallout with former teammate Tom Brady.

In an interview on the Millions $ Worth Of Game Podcast, Brown talked about what actually went down between him and Brady. “So now when we get the ring in 2021, I’m the last guy that signed. My agent, Ed Wasielewski, is getting called, cursed out by Tom Brady over why is he pushing back for the contract for scraps. Imagine if you heard that, the same guy that brought you in to win a ring, the same agent he told you to hook up with to get the deal, is not telling me, the guy’s calling him, saying, yo, cursing him out about scraps of a contract.” Check out the video including Brown’s comments below.

Antonio Brown Still Respects Tom Brady The Player

Later in his interview, Brown did mention that he is thankful for the opportunity to play with Brady. During his tenure in Tampa, the pair did go on to win a Super Bowl. So, the entire journey for Brown and the Buccaneers wasn’t a complete failure. However, Brown felt like he was being slighted by those he thought he could trust. During Brady’s public divorce from Gisele Bundchen, Brown made numerous jokes on social media about Brady.

It doesn’t seem as if Brady and Brown will be rekindling a relationship any time soon. Brown has also made headlines this week after a verbal altercation with a security guard over the weekend. The former Buccaneers receiver was asked to leave the field during an arena football game. Which, he didn’t seem to care about how the situation was being handled. However, fans in attendance claim that Brown was gracious and kind during every fan interaction during the event. What will be the next step in the journey for Antonio Brown? Certainly, it will be bound to make headlines. For the latest NFL news, keep it right here at HNHH.

Antonio Brown Explaining His Outburst During Jets Game

Antonio Brown’s final moment in the NFL is one of the most memorable of all time. The former Pro Bowl receiver was last seen giving the fans deuces as he trotted off the field at MetLife Stadium. His Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in the middle of a game with the New York Jets when the moment happened. Brown broke the internet with his decision to walk off the sidelines during a game. Most couldn’t believe that this was the way Brown’s legacy would finish its final chapter on the field. Now Brown is telling his side of the infamous story.

On a recent episode of MILLION $ WORTH OF GAME, Brown discussed what he was thinking during the moment. According to Brown, there were so many variables involved in the situation. First, the star receiver was frustrated with Tampa QB Tom Brady. Brown claims that Brady was upset with him over not taking a contract that Brown felt was disrespectful. Also, Brown stated he was dealing with an injury that the coaches did not listen to him about. The combination of issues seemed to bring Brown to the brink. Which caused the receiver to split during the game.

Antonio Brown Was Frustrated With Tampa Bay

Brown’s departure did not sit well with the Buccaneers organization and was the last time he was seen in the league. AB’s career was once heading directly to Canton as a Hall-of-Famer. However, his last three seasons have left a sour taste in the league. Brown never played one game as a member of the Raiders. As the receiver and the organization were at odds from the moment, he joined the organization. But Brown was a part of the Super Bowl winning Buccaneers team from 2021. However, his numbers might not have been what one would expect from such a talent.

Brown’s career is still Hall-of-Fame worthy. Multiple Pro Bowls, four-time All-Pro, and is a member of the 2010’s All-Decade Team. Brown has literally done it all as one of the best to ever play the game. However, his off-the-field antics and legal issues have put a black eye on his extraordinary legacy. Do you think what Antonio Brown did was wrong that day in New York? Is Brown still a Hall-of-Famer? Drop your thoughts on the matter in our comment section. Shannon Sharpe Goes Off On Bucs For Baker Mayfield Signing

Shannon Sharpe is one of the more brutally honest individuals on TV. Overall, he is allowed to be this way as he actually has the resume. He has won three Super Bowl titles and he revolutionized the Tight End position. Although some might not like what he has to say, you have to respect it because of his experience. He knows what it takes to win at the Professional level, and he has always backed up his talk with stats, or his own actions. That said, you can imagine he has had a lot to say about free agency.

Throughout the last few days, we have seen a ton of interesting stories. Perhaps the biggest story is that Aaron Rodgers is likely to go to the New York Jets. However, Rodgers isn’t the only quarterback to be blessed with a new team. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they would be signing Baker Mayfield to a one-year deal. He will be their Tom Brady replacement, although Sharpe is less than impressed with this move.

Shannon Sharpe Rips The Bucs

Over the years, Sharpe and Skip Bayless have had harsh debates about whether or not Baker Mayfield is any good. Sharpe always argues that Mayfield is just okay, but cannot lead a team to the Super Bowl. Consequently, he felt like going from Tom Brady to Mayfield is a bit of a stretch. So much so that he theorizes that Mike Evans and Chris Godwin could be looking for trades, very soon. “Can you imagine going from Tom Brady to Baker Mayfield?” Sharpe asked. “I’m surprised Mike Evans or Chris Godwin haven’t requested a trade.”

This might be a little harsh, but it is clear that Sharpe is just telling the truth, at least in his mind. Mayfield is part of the Buccaneers’ rebuild, and there isn’t much of a chance of him being there beyond just one season. That said, the Bucs probably won’t care too much if he doesn’t pan out. Either way, let us know what you think of Sharpe’s take, down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Baker Mayfield Signs Deal With The Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield is one of those quarterbacks that always seems to catch a whole lot of flack from people around the NFL. Overall, he was a solid player for the Cleveland Browns. He took them to the playoffs for the first time in years. Moreover, he even won them a game. You would think that the team would show him a bit of gratitude. However, they did the opposite as they went all out and signed Deshaun Watson to a monstrous deal. So far, the deal has not paid off for them.

As for Mayfield, he has bounced around the league a bit. He got to play with the Carolina Panthers for a bit, although that did not go as planned. In the end, the team released him. Subsequently, he went to the Los Angeles Rams who were in need of a replacement for Matthew Stafford. Overall, Mayfield was pretty decent as a Ram but didn’t do anything special. Either way, many around the league still believes he is a competent QB. So much so that he is now poised to become Tom Brady’s replacement.

Baker Mayfield Moves Forward

According to Adam Schefter, Mayfield has officially signed a one-year deal with the Buccaneers. This contract is worth $8.5 million and for now, he is expected to be the starter. Of course, the team could choose to go out and get another QB, although that does not seem likely right now. At this point, the Bucs understand that they are in a retooling period. Bringing in an elite-level quarterback just would not make that much sense. However, this does seem like a great opportunity for Mayfield to show people that he can still play at a high level.

For Buccaneers fans, Mayfield might seem like an odd choice. That said, there are not too many quarterbacks on the market right now. They are not in a position to offer Lamar Jackson an offer sheet, and there is no one else out there. Sure, maybe Aaron Rodgers, but it seems clear that he is likely going to go to the Jets, if anywhere at all. Let us know what you think of this signing, in the comments section below.

Tom Brady Seems Fed Up With Retirement Questions

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are done for the season. After a bad loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Brady is now at home doing his Let’s Go! Podcast. That said, many are wondering whether or not he will call it quits. Overall, he is 45 years old and was clearly in decline this year.

Furthermore, it was reportedly made clear to his teammates that he would not return to the Bucs. However, there is a possibility that he comes back on another team, like the Las Vegas Raiders. No matter what, there will be a ton of fanfare surrounding this upcoming decision.

Tom Brady Speaks

As it turns out, Brady is quite annoyed when it comes to these upcoming decisions. Everyone seems to be asking him about his plans, and for now, he has no idea what he will do. In fact, he almost snapped at Jim Gray during the latest episode of his podcast.

“If I knew what I was going to f—ing do I would’ve already f—ing done it. I’m taking it a day at a time. I appreciate you asking. Thank you,” he said on the podcast. Needless to say, he doesn’t like being pestered for an answer, especially just one week following the end of his season.

Russell Gage Taken To Hospital Following Scary Hit

Russell Gage of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers went through an incredibly scary moment on Monday night. Of course, the Buccaneers were taking on the Dallas Cowboys in their Wild Card matchup. Late in the game, Tom Brady threw a pass into the middle of the field, and Gage was the target.

Subsequently, Gage went down on the ground to get the ball, but it bounced off of his hands. From there, a Cowboys player came in with a late hit and hit Gage’s neck with his arm. Overall, it appeared to be a very scary injury that looked pretty awful on TV.

Russell Gage Gets Treatment

According to TMZ, Gage was taken to the hospital for his injury. On TV, Gage was down on the field for several minutes. Consequently, his teammates gathered around on the field and offered him some support. While it was nowhere near as awful as the Damar Hamlin situation, there was still quite a bit of concern.

As per head coach Todd Bowles, it has been confirmed that Gage has a concussion. However, it is unclear what other injuries he may have. For now, they want to take a good look at his neck to see if it may be broken. Thankfully, Gage appeared to be moving his legs and fingers while on the field.
