Joey Badass Announces Triumphant Return With “The Ruler’s Back”

Joey Badass has finally returned with a new song titled, “The Ruler’s Back.” Rapping over a beat from Conductor Williams, Joey kicks off the new year with a nostalgic style full of quick-hitting and memorable bars. “Moved out the city, copped the house and the sticks/ Couple acres, couple whips, whole lotta blicks/ I got options baby, take your pick,” he raps. In the music video, he keeps things straightforward, performing outside of a massive estate while posing in front of a Maybach SUV.

Fans in the YouTube comments section have been loving the track. “Joeys confidence is what makes him so likable. he could go years without dropping and people will still fw him,” one user wrote. Another added: “Joey Badass needs a solid project now. Nothing too crazy of a tracklist, 14 tracks maximum all heat no filler. He dont need a forced commercial single either, that will only backfire. The sneakers feature a blue rubber sole paired with a sail midsole. Also, the uppers are made of white leather with matching overlays. Sneaker Bar Detroit reports that the Air Jordan 1 Low OG x Travis Scott x Fragment will be released on September 3rd, 2025. Also, the retail price of the sneakers will be $150 when they drop.

DJ Akademiks says he spent $25 million to sign Top5, Pressa, and more artists to launch a new label titled, Akademy Records. He explained the move in a video on social media that appears to have been recorded on New Year’s Eve.

“Akademy Records, I told you I was launching. Listen, I dropped a $25 million bag. I had to do it. First signee to Akademy Records, the biggest demons outta Toronto. Y’all artists, you don’t have a hit song, y’all not dripping like this. It’s gonna take a while,” Ak said. From there, he went around pointing to each artist, saying: “Lemme tell you this, $5 mill. I signed him for $5 million in his pocket. This guy’s been rich. I gave him $5 mill just because.” Ak concluded: “When these guys drop, big Ak is behind them. There’s no bigger voice than me.”

One user on X (formerly Twitter) replied to the clip: “we’re all thinking: ‘please don’t say it, please don’t say it.’” Another fan joked: “He still hates those n****s more than the Nazi.” One more added: “HE SAID IT… I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT HE SAID HE HATES NAZIS. ARE WE BACK?”

“Arizona has received a commitment from Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon shooting guard Bryce James,” the report reads. “Sources tell WildcatAuthority.com that one of the main reasons why James was drawn to Arizona is Tommy Lloyd’s ability to develop players and his patience with that process. James recently took an unofficial to Arizona and came away impressed with the overall campus and approach of the program.”
