Wolfacejoeyy Effortlessly Alternates Between Genres On “Cupid” Album
Wolfacejoeyy is a rapper in the loosest sense. He has bars, but he delivers them through falsetto vocals than lean more towards R&B. It’s made him a natural fit the “sexy trap” sound pioneered by people like Cash Cobain. Wolfacejoeyy is not a copycat, however. The rapper’s ability to blur the lines between pop, R&B and hip hop make him one of the most uniquely talented names in his age range. Cupid is his latest studio release, and it’s a notable improvement on his previous album, Valentino.
“Late to the Party” is a chilled-out opener that also serves as a good indicator of the rest of the album. Wolfacejoeyy never feels like he’s rushed or overly devastated by the romantic tribulations he’s going through. He makes it sound downright fun on standout cuts like “fav girl” and “finsta.” These are slick and stylish rap cuts punctuated by Wolfacejoeyy’s impressive vocals. Cupid strikes a good balance in terms of uptempo and downtempo songs. There’s even a few curveballs like “bad gyal” and “The A*s Song.” The former is a PARTYNEXTDOOR-style dancehall cut, while the latter is a flip of the Big Sean single. Wolfacejoeyy continues to impress. Check Cupid out and keep him on your radar.

Drake Co-Signs Loe Shimmy’s “Leave” Amidst LeBron James Drama
Drake is busier than usual these days. The rapper is seemingly fending off insults and feuds from every direction. He’s severed ties with former industry friends, and taken legal action against his record label, UMG. Drake is also in the midst of a confusing feud/non-feud with LeBron James. Despite the turmoil, though, Drake found time to co-sign an up-and-coming artist. The rapper has always had a knack for singling out artists with hitmaking potential, and he seemingly found another with Loe Shimmy.
Drake posted a comment on Loe Shimmy’s new single, “Leave.” He made it clear that he was extremely impressed with Shimmy’s musical sensibility. “I tried to like this twice on god,” he wrote. The comment was eventually pinned to Loe Shimmy’s video. A quick listen of the song makes it clear as to why the 6 God connected with it. Shimmy gives the listener the same somber, nocturnal vibe that the best Drake songs do. Especially when it comes to the piano. “Leave” boasts an instrumental that one could easily hear the Toronto rapper on. We wouldn’t be surprised to see him reach out for a remix.

Drake Claims He Tried To Like “Leave” Twice
Drake is in recording mode, and he’s not afraid to show it. The rapper teased a new song with producer Conductor Williams before it was taken down by the label he’s legally investigating. “Fighting Irish” sees him allegedly take shots at targets as varied as Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and the aforementioned LeBron. Drake has also promised to release his joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR at some point during 2025. If all that wasn’t enough, Drizzy leaked snippets of three unreleased songs. One of which features PARTY. Loe Shimmy represents the first young artist that Drake has co-signed since Chino Pacas in 2024.
The comment section underneath the Drake comment are filled with predictable jokes about Shimmy being an industry plant. The rapper has been releasing music for two years, however. His debut album, Zombieland 2.6, dropped in 2024. Shimmy has also linked up with established names like Brent Faiyaz and Cash Cobain. Time will tell if Drizzy decides to collab with the Florida artist, or if the Drake stimulus package is officially done.

Boosie Badazz And MoneyBagg Yo Want To Remix LiAngelo Ball’s “Tweaker”
LiAngelo Ball is having a moment. The athlete dropped the single “Tweaker” on the first Friday of 2025, and it has already gone viral. Locker rooms all over the country are blasting the hard-hitting song. Ball is getting props from hip hop legends like DJ Paul for his energetic delivery. The real kicker, though, is the number of established artists that want to collaborate with LiAngelo Ball. Within days of the song being released, the athlete had been tagged on Twitter by Boosie Badazz and MoneyBagg Yo. It appears both men want to contribute a verse to a hypothetical “Tweaker” remix.
Boosie Badazz was the first rapper to reach out to LiAngelo Ball. He tagged the athlete and told him to “send da verse!.” MoneyBagg Yo operated on a similar wavelength. He hit up Ball and urged him to send over the song with an open spot for him to drop a sixteen. “Send me da open verse,” he tweeted. “Ima tweak.” Both rappers have a track record of dropping verses on remixes. Based on the release plan that LiAngelo Ball has, however, Boosie and MoneyBagg may have to wait. Ball’s brother, Lonzo, claimed that there is going to be a new song coming on January 10.

LiAngelo Ball Is Already Planning A Second Single
Lonzo Ball went viral for playing a LiAngelo song in the Chicago Bulls locker room. The footage made the rounds on social media, before Lonzo quote tweeted with some crucial info. “This ain’t out yet,” he wrote. “Friday he feeding the culture!.” Depending on how well this follow up single does, LiAngelo might reach out to Boozie and MoneyBagg Yo for a verse. Given how popular “Tweaker” has gotten in such a short period, however, the athlete might be able to score a guest verse from an even bigger name. LiAngelo Ball has, after all, gotten co-signs from the likes of Lil Yachty and T-Pain.
LiAngelo Ball is also slated to perform at Rolling Loud California. The festival will take place in March, and mark the first time the athlete has taken the stage. Ball will perform on the Saturday lineup that will also feature A$AP Rocky, Bossman Dlow, Ski Mask the Slump God and Sexyy Red. We’re very curious to see how long the “Tweaker” phenomenon lasts, and whether LiAngelo has a legitimate rap career ahead of him. In the meanwhile, “Tweaker” is going to be getting lots of spin.

[WATCH] Da Band’s Chopper Claims Diddy Secretly Hated Tupac
The controversies surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs show no sign of slowing down, as new accusations continue to emerge about the music mogul’s alleged personal vendettas. The latest claim comes from Chopper, a former member of Da Band, the rap group Diddy formed on the reality show Making the Band. In a candid interview with The Art of Dialogue, Chopper revealed his belief that Diddy harbored a deep-seated dislike for the late Tupac Shakur.
According to Chopper, the animosity became evident during an interaction when Diddy asked him about his musical influences. Chopper mentioned Tupac as one of the artists who inspired his style, but his answer reportedly didn’t sit well with Diddy. “That nga didn’t talk to me for like four fking days after,” Chopper claimed. He further explained that Diddy wouldn’t tolerate anyone comparing Tupac to the late Notorious B.I.G., Diddy’s close friend and collaborator. “Everything was about Biggie. You couldn’t even put ‘Pac in the same sentence as him,” Chopper added. “Diddy hated ‘Pac. Hated everything about Tupac.”
Chopper also recounted an instance where Diddy allegedly forced Da Band members to memorize and recite every word of Biggie’s iconic track, “Juicy.” Reflecting on the experience, Chopper expressed skepticism about whether Biggie himself would have insisted on such a tribute. “He made us recite that whole f**king thing,” Chopper said. “And I don’t think Biggie would’ve cared if a n**ga memorized his sh*t like that.”
The conversation took a darker turn as Chopper theorized that Tupac’s murder in 1996 might be indirectly linked to Diddy’s current legal troubles. The rapper speculated that the authorities might be exploring connections between Diddy and the case. Keefe D, a former gang member and associate of Tupac’s murder suspects, is currently facing charges in relation to the rapper’s death. “I think the real reason they ain’t letting Puffy out is because they’re trying to connect him to that Keefe D situation,” Chopper asserted.
Chopper suggested that Diddy’s denied bail may not only be about his recent legal challenges but could also signal a larger investigation into historical events. “They know if they let him out on house arrest, he ‘gon be a good boy,” Chopper concluded, hinting at the gravity of the allegations hanging over Diddy’s name.

Drake Debuts Painted Nails With Dollar Signs In New Studio Photos
Drake knows how to dominate a news cycle. He may not be as beloved as he once was, but anything he does is guaranteed to spark conversation. Outlets are still debating whether his “Fighting Irish” freestyle was hard or a weak attempt to diss LeBron James. It’s difficult to determine if Drake has a master plan for these unpredictable leaks, or if he’s merely scrambling in the wake of the Kendrick Lamar battle. He decided to address this confusion via social media on Tuesday, January 7.
The 6 God took to Instagram to post multiple photos of himself in the studio. Drake is rocking a knitted bucket hat in the photos, one of which features his infamous duck face. The rapper also debuted new painted nails, which are brandished with white dollar signs. Then, in a seeming attempt to address the wave of leaks and confusion surrounding his next project, Drake added a brief caption. “I thought this through…,” he wrote. He doesn’t clarify, but these ominous words do appear to be in reference to what comes next. He wants fans to know, or at least give the impression, that he has a game plan for 2025.

Drake Told Fans He’s “Thought It Through”
The dollar sign nails are worth doubling back on. Drake has used a dollar sign logo multiple times over the last few months. Each time has been in reference to his joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. The R&B veteran took to IG in November to confirm a new musical chapter is on its way. He wrote “reloading,” and Drake responded in the comments. “$$$ It’s time,” he wrote back, stoking the excitement for the collab album. The specificity of it being three dollar signs cannot be a coincidence. Drake is showing fans that he’s in the studio, and he’s subtly confirming that the sessions are tied to the PND album.
Drake’s decision to tease new music makes sense, given the drama that broke out hours prior. The rapper was the victim of a leaked DM in which his allegedly referenced LeBron James cheating rumors. DJ Akademiks quickly shot down the validity of the DM, however. He spoke on Drake’s behalf, and said that Chris Blake Griffith made up the Instagram interaction. “Drake called buddy a Rat,” Ak tweeted. “He got mad and made up some fake DM to try to make the blogs and go viral. end of story.”

SOURCE SPORTS: Former Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs Pitcher Brian Matusz Passes Away At 37
The MLB community is mourning the loss of former pitcher Brian Matusz, who passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 37. The heartbreaking news was shared by MASN’s Roch Kubatko, who announced the tragic development on social media.
“Very sad to hear that former #Orioles pitcher Brian Matusz passed away this morning. Was 37. 4th-overall pick in 2008 draft,” Kubatko posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The Orioles also posted about Matusz’s passing on X, saying, “Our hearts are heavy tonight as we mourn the passing of former Oriole, Brian Matusz. A staple in our clubhouse from 2009-2016, Brian was beloved throughout Birdland, and his passion for baseball and our community was unmatched. He dedicated his time to connecting with any fan he could, was a cherished teammate, and always had a smile on his face. Brian’s family and loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.”
Born in Grand Junction, Colorado, Matusz rose to prominence as a standout pitcher at the University of San Diego. His exceptional collegiate performance led the Baltimore Orioles to select him with the fourth overall pick in the 2008 MLB Draft. Just over a year later, Matusz made his MLB debut on August 4, 2009.
Though he initially entered the league as a starting pitcher, Matusz transitioned to a bullpen role after facing challenges early in his career. By 2013, he had found his stride as a reliable left-handed reliever, playing a key role for the Orioles from 2013 to 2015. He was part of Baltimore’s playoff squads in 2012 and 2014 and wrapped up his MLB career with the Chicago Cubs in 2016.
Over his eight-year MLB tenure, Matusz compiled a 27-41 record with a 4.92 ERA across 280 appearances, including 69 starts. After leaving the MLB, he continued his baseball journey in Mexico and with the Long Island Ducks, playing his final professional game in 2019.
Former teammate and fellow first-round pick Matt Hobgood reflected on Matusz’s kindness and generosity. “Just heard the news about Brian Matusz passing away this morning,” Hobgood wrote on X. “This is awful…he was one of the first people to call me after I signed in ‘09. Took the time to call, encourage me, and wish me well in my career. It always meant a lot that he did that. RIP, my friend.”
While details surrounding Matusz’s passing remain unclear, tributes have been pouring in from across the baseball world. It’s evident that Matusz left a lasting impression not just as a talented pitcher but also as a person who touched the lives of many.
Matusz would have celebrated his 38th birthday on February 11.

[WATCH] State Property Member Oschino Claims He Wrote Beanie Sigel’s “Kiss The Game Goodbye” Jadakiss Freestyle Diss
On a recent episode of Apt. 5H, hosts Bianca Torres and Jim’s World spoke to Comedian Derek Gaines (known for his roles in Chicago PD and The King of Staten Island) about the infamous rap beef between Jadakiss and Beanie Sigel.
Shortly after, former State Property member, Oschino Vasquez claimed to have written Beanie Sigel’s verse for his “Kiss The Game Goodbye Freestyle”.
Oschino, who has been very vocal about Jay-Z and his tenure as a Roc-A-Fella Records signee, showed up in the comments on IG of the Apt 5H show to let all of the followers know that he was actually the one who wrote the rhymes for beans’ scathing freestyle against The L.O.X.’s top brass.
This may come as a surprise to some, as Beanie was recognized as one of Roc-A-Fella’s most reputable lyricists, only rivaled by his then-boss Shawn Carter with some even saying that Sigel’s rhymes trumped Hov on numerous Roc tracks. How real is Oschino’s claim? Well, this tidbit of info is sure to come up again in debates about who took the crown in this monumental battle where very few can actually declare a winner.

Kanye West Claims Adidas “Used” Him In Scathing Instagram Rant
Kanye West is the most opinionated rapper of all time. He has never held his tongue, even when he knows it will land him in controversy to not do so. Kanye West has also had a contentious dynamic with Adidas over the years. The rapper and brand have collaborated on some historic shoe designs, but their falling out has become the stuff of fashion legend. West decided to unleash his frustration on Adidas, however, in a lengthy Instagram rant on Tuesday evening.
Kanye West claimed that Adidas is still benefiting from his Yeezy brand, despite cutting ties with the brand. “When you google http://Yeezy.com the adidas site comes before the Yeezy site,” he wrote on Instagram. “Stop doing this. Stop doing your moves to hold me back. Our partnership is done.” West went on to accuse Adidas of trying to cripple his financial status when the brand decided to no longer work with him. “You’re a 60 billion dollar company that froze my accounts,” he added. “Now I’m back on my feet (no pun intended) and I’m not going to stand for this (no pun again).”

Kanye West Believes Adidas Is Holding Him Back
Kanye West proceeded to call out Adidas and fashion designer Jerry Lorenzo for taking his ideas and failing to properly credit or compensate him. “I had major issues with adidas because of design theft and oppression before ‘the tweet,’” he noted. “Jerry was corny and disloyal for doing work with Adidas after the way they handled things.” The most pointed bit of critique aimed at the brand, however, came in the middle of Kanye West’s written rant. The rapper claimed that Adidas merely used him to boost sales and their creative profile. “They never wanted to truly work for the king,” he opined. “They wanted to use the king. Get paid, more than they would get paid anywhere else.”
Kanye West’s lengthy takedown of Adidas arrives months after the brand attempted to put an end to the controversy surrounding their partnership. Adidas chief executive Bjorn Gulden claimed that the “drama” involving West “belongs in the past” as recently as October. He also told reporters that remaining Yeezy stock should be sold by 2025. It appears as though Kanye West still has problems with Adidas. He also told followers that he has been working on new Yeezy designs. “I’ve been working on ten other styles for the past 2 years,” he teased. “It’s Yeezy for the people.”
