SOCIALizing: Watch Cardi B Go in on Offset Via IG Live Stream: ‘Always been too good for you’

Cardi B and Offset are unfortunately getting messier by the minute with their contentious divorce spilling out into social media.

The Bodak Yellow rapper publicly expressed regret over her marriage to Offset, adding fuel to the already heated situation between the two as they head for their second divorce. During a series of Instagram Live sessions on Wednesday night, the rapper made candid remarks about her relationship with Offset, hinting at ongoing tensions while she was in France for Paris Fashion Week.

Now let’s be clear, Cardi didn’t directly name Offset, Cardi’s comments were clearly aimed at her estranged husband. She accused him of trying to make her jealous by flaunting his interactions with other women. In the livestream, she bluntly stated, “I’m too much woman for you. … And I’ve always been too good for you.”

Cardi is clearly eflecting on the past. “Nothing surprises me anymore. You’ve done it all, so I don’t care,” Cardi said. Despite the harsh words about Offset, she expressed no regret about the family they created together. “Thank you for my kids, though. All three of them, I don’t regret none of them. But I regret you. I don’t regret my kids; you’re a good daddy. You’re all right.”

Get this, Cardi addressed the rumors that she might wish harm on Offset, but quickly dismissed them, saying, “I don’t want you dead because … my kids love you down. So I would never do that. And I really follow street codes.”

ICYMI, the couple’s tumultuous relationship has been well-documented. Cardi B and Offset tied the knot in 2017 and share three children: Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and a newborn. Their rocky marriage has been marked by allegations of infidelity and multiple breakups. Cardi first filed for divorce in 2020, though they later reconciled. Recently, however, news of their third child came out just as Cardi announced yet another split.

What’s more, Offset, for his part, has responded to Cardi’s livestreams. According to screenshots shared on social media, he accused her of cheating on him while she was pregnant. Cardi denied these accusations but expressed frustration over having to take their private issues public, saying she didn’t want to “turn off” potential future partners but felt compelled to speak out because Offset was being “messy” and “petty.” She added, “Let’s go lick for lick. Let’s go round for round. Let’s go hit for hit. I told you: Leave me … alone.”

Here’s where it gets real messy. As their divorce proceedings move forward, Cardi claimed that Offset has been trying to “threaten” her by going after what she has worked hard for, indicating a battle over assets. “Now we’re going to court war, right?” she said.

Despite their volatile disputes, the pair had recently reunited earlier this month to celebrate their son Wave’s birthday, sparking rumors of reconciliation. However, it now seems their relationship is once again on shaky ground.

We are not picking any sides on this one… We just hope they can work things out for the good of their health, careers and most importantly their kids.

Male Sex Worker Reportedly Hands Over Alleged Freak Off Party Video to Authorities

IMG 7627

In more dark Diddy news, it seems a male sex worker reportedly met with federal investigators in New York City on Wednesday, September 24, to provide evidence in the ongoing case against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

According to a spot on report from TMZ, the man signed a proffer agreement, allowing him to speak to authorities without fear of prosecution. During this meeting, he allegedly handed over a video recording that purportedly captured one of Diddy’s sexual encounters, involving himself, Diddy, and another woman.

Get this, the alleged male sex worker reportedly told investigators about the types of drugs Diddy allegedly used during these sexual encounters, referred to as “freak-offs,” and detailed the specific encounter caught on tape. He claimed the threesome took place in May 2023 after he flew from Atlanta to Miami to meet Diddy and the woman, stating that Diddy filmed the group while they engaged in intercourse.

For the umpteenth time, Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, facing multiple serious charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transporting individuals for prostitution. He pleaded not guilty and is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams emphasized the severity of the accusations, stating, “For years, Sean Combs used the business empire he controlled to sexually abuse and exploit women, as well as to commit other acts of violence and obstruction of justice. He is charged with racketeering and sex trafficking offenses. If you have been a victim of Combs’ alleged abuse – or if you know anything about his alleged crimes – we urge you to come forward. This investigation is far from over.”

When it comes to springing Diddy from his federal lockup, efforts by his defense team to secure bail have repeatedly been denied. Last week, Diddy’s legal team contested the prosecution’s rationale for keeping him incarcerated until his trial. They argued against the government’s claim that Diddy poses a danger to the community and has a history of obstructing justice. “The Government has argued that Mr. Combs is a danger to the community and that ‘what makes this defendant even more dangerous is his extensive and exhaustive history of obstruction of justice,’” Diddy’s lawyers wrote. They also contended that the allegations do not substantiate claims of obstruction, stating, “The truth is that Mr. Combs has done nothing to obstruct this investigation, and the Government does not persuasively argue otherwise.”

What’s more is the defense further explained that Diddy’s actions—such as contacting potential witnesses—were part of gathering a defense team, and they denied any efforts to pressure witnesses to alter their testimony. “Mr. Combs is entitled to gather witnesses to defend himself against the Government’s allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering. As part of that defense, he, with counsel’s blessing, has called potential defense witnesses to let them know that counsel would reach out to speak with them. Tellingly, the Government does not point to—nor can they—any conversation Mr. Combs has had with a potential witness since he had knowledge of the criminal investigation where he pressured any witness to change their story.”

Despite these aggressive arguments, Diddy’s legal team has since abandoned its efforts to secure bail. If convicted of the charges against him, Diddy faces a potential life sentence.

Can’t stop won’t stop the drama.

NYC rapper Kurious, has shared today the third track off his forthcoming album Majician, titled “Barry Gibb”. The song and album were executive produced by his longtime friend and collaborator MF DOOM before his passing and produced by Mono En Stereo

On the instantly classic track, Kurious shares “I don’t know if the lyrics relate to this so much, but Barry Gibb from the BeeGees is one of my favorite artists. And, I wrote this song around the time he lost his last brother. He has three brothers and lost all three of them. And, (when he lost his last brother), I was writing like crazy. And, back when they were saying “Disco is dead”, he was writing for Kenny Roger, Dolly Parton, and fucking Michael Jackson. He’s writing for mad people and nobody really knows. I felt like that too. I’m writing a lot for myself and for other people. So, it was just a homage…a salute to him.”

His new album, Majician – also the nickname his peers blessed him with a generation ago, is due out October 18th on Metalface Records and Rhymesayers Entertainment.  It’s a mesmerizing blend of technical wizardry and personal introspection that substantiates the legacy he’s long deserved. Pre-order vinyl, CDs and cassettes via gasdrawls.com and rhymesayers.com, as well as exclusive merchandise.

Young Dolph Murder Suspect Justin Johnson Was Found Guilty Of Killing The Memphis Rapper

Just days after his co-defendant admitted to the 2021 shooting, a jury has convicted Justin Johnson of murdering Young Dolph. According to the local Fox affiliate, the jury, made up of nine white women, two Black men, and one white man, found Johnson guilty of all counts of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun after four hours of deliberation. The murder charge carries a sentence of life in prison, while Johnson is scheduled for sentencing RE: the charges in November.

The trial, which started with jury selection on Monday this week (September 23), was moved due to extensive media coverage of the murder and its aftermath in Dolph’s native Shelby County. On the second day of the trial, one of the four men accused of murdering Dolph, Cornelius Smith, admitted in court to being offered $40,000 for the hit by Big Jook (real name Anthony Mims), the brother of Dolph’s rival Memphis rapper Yo Gotti. A third man, Hernandez Govan was paid as the go-between between the shooters and Jook.

While the guns used in the shooting were never found and although Johnson’s defense questioned the state’s evidence that put him at the scene of the crime, witness testimony — including Smith’s — was convincing enough for the jury to convict Johnson, who’d previously pled not guilty to the charges. The trial will continue for the remaining defendants, Smith and Govan, while another man, Jemarcus Johnson, pled guilty before the trial. Shundale Barnett, charged as an after-the-fact accessory, pled guilty in June 2023. Big Jook, meanwhile, will not have a trial or charges — he was shot and killed in Memphis this past January.

Consequence Claims Kanye West And Kendrick Lamar Have An Unreleased Collab Album

Consequence has been part of Kanye West’s inner-circle since day one. He appeared on Ye’s first two albums, and has penned verses for the rapper into the present. If anybody has insight into how Ye goes about recording, it would be him. Consequence talked about Ye’s relationship with Kendrick Lamar in a recent interview with Bootleg Kev. During said interview, the rapper claimed that Ye and Lamar have an album’s worth of material sitting on the shelf.

Consequence told the podcaster that Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar are sitting on an estimated 40 songs together. Some of which are allegedly produced by Madlib. The reason they have yet to see the light of day? Consequence believes its simply a matter of setting aside the time to structure an album. “I just think it just needed to be structured,” he asserted. The rapper claimed to have heard every song that was recorded, though, and he was impressed. “It was there, it’s there, it’s crazy,” he noted. “It’s there.”

Consequence Claims To Have Heard 40 Songs

Consequence’s discussion of a Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar joint album is more of a confirmation than a revelation. It’s exciting to know that songs between the two legends exist, but Ye actually spilled the beans on his Lamar collabs back in 2016. The “Carnival” rapper tweeted that he’d been in the studio with Compton’s finest and Young Thug during the making of The Life of Pablo. “Me and Kendrick got 40 songs and me and Young Thug got 40 songs,” he wrote. “40/40 club!!!” Kendrick Lamar and Thugger did appear on The Life of Pablo, lending credibility to Ye’s claim.

The only official collaboration between Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar to date came out of these 2016 sessions. “No More Parties In L.A.” was a head-spinning lyrical showcase for both rappers. It also had an exceptional Madlib beat, which lines up with what Consequence said about the producer’s involvement. Ye seems to be in an increasingly healthier headspace as of late. Here’s hoping he decides to let some of these K. Dot collabs out of the vault.

Remembering When Kamala Harris Hosted Last September’s 50th Anniversary Of Hip Hop Celebration

IMG 7626

Just a friendly reminder that last September, almost a year ago plus a couple weeks, and before becoming the Democratic presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris hosted a celebration marking hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, reaffirming her connection to the culture.

On September 9, 2023, Harris welcomed some of hip-hop’s pioneers and stars, including Common, Jeezy, MC Lyte, and Roxanne Shante, to the vice presidential residence for the event.

ICYMI, Hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, was widely celebrated in 2023, traces its origins to an August 11, 1973 back-to-school party in the Bronx, where DJ Kool Herc first introduced the genre’s signature sound. Reflecting on the significance of hip-hop, Harris remarked, “Hip-hop is the ultimate American art form” and that it “shapes every aspect of America’s popular culture.” She emphasized, “Hip-hop culture is American culture.”

Harris who has been vocal about her respect and love for Hip Hop, also acknowledged the genre’s global impact, its role in social and racial justice movements, and its influence as a multibillion-dollar industry built on generations of artistic expression.

Quoting Public Enemy’s Chuck D, she said rap serves as “Black America’s CNN,” adding, “It has always channeled the voices of the people. It tells the stories that don’t make the news.”

That part.

That 2023 celebration featured performances and was a collaboration with the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective and Live Nation Urban. Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, also embraced the spirit of the event, declaring, “This is a hip-hop household!”

While the celebration underscored Harris’s connection to the genre, the event highlighted the lasting impact of hip-hop on both American and global culture.

Curious. What did Trump do to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop? We’ll wait …
