Tyrese Claims That He Could Be Arrested Soon Over Ongoing Divorce & Child Support Drama

Tyrese Gibson dropped another bombshell claim about his ongoing divorce with Samantha Lee on his Instagram on Sunday (September 8). Moreover, he fears that authorities will arrest him in Atlanta court tomorrow due to Lee’s lawyers allegedly being allies of the judge in the case, Kevin M. Farmer. The judge apparently demanded that the actor and singer cancel his press run for his movie and album, and Gibson said that they will appeal all the rulings after trying multiple times to assure Farmer’s recusal. Also, he claims that the judge illegally cracked his prenup agreement to increase one of his child support payments.

As you can see in the IG post below, this is all a very complicated and contentious situation, one that Tyrese has been very open and emotional in speaking on. His recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, for example, was a tough moment for him. It didn’t help that Joe Budden and others online called this appearance “bitter” and felt like the Los Angeles native was doing too much. Gibson actually called Budden out on social media, stating that he can’t relate to how he actually feels because he’s never been married.

Tyrese Fears That He Will Be Arrested In Court

Another point of contention for Tyrese was how there are co-hosts on Joe Budden’s podcast that are more loyal and respectful to him than the Slaughterhouse MC himself, despite their long bond. This all arrived at a very difficult time, because Gibson had planned a social media break. As we see now, this clearly didn’t last long. Considering all that’s going on right now, we don’t even know if this is a possible avenue anymore. Nevertheless, all we can hope for is that he prioritizes real-life fulfillment, peace, and satisfaction rather than ignoring that to seek online validation.

Meanwhile, on a lighter note, Tyrese discussed an interesting question with Shannon Sharpe during their Club Shay Shay conversation. “Who’s a bigger rapper globally? Most famous of the two. Jay-Z or Snoop Dogg?” he inquired. “If Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg were in a mall in Moscow, who would shut the mall down? [Snoop Dogg is the] biggest f***ing superstar in the world. That’s my big homie. Long Beach, West Coast, I wish a motherf***er would.”

Kendrick Lamar finally popped out again after his Drake battle to announce that he’s hitting up an even bigger stage next year. The hip-hop world is very excited to see what he does for his Super Bowl LIX halftime show in New Orleans on February 9, and if not, they’re morbidly curious. Moreover, Jay-Z issued a statement as the NFL’s entertainment curator, contributing to the many Drizzy fans angry at him for allowing this to happen. Jokes aside, let’s not forget the reason why the sports league brought Hov into the fold in the first place, and how many issues of social justice and the treatment of the Black community in the league are still prevalent and unaddressed.

“Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,” Jay-Z said of the battle victor who wants “no Round 2s” with Drake. “His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come.” Here’s Kendrick’s own brief statement on the matter: “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”

Jay-Z’s Statement On Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

While this is all incredibly exciting, even the biggest Kendrick Lamar Stans on the planet have their reservations about this. As mentioned before, the shadow of the NFL looms large, especially considering that Kendrick omitted his line about police when he performed “Alright” at the 2022 halftime show. Also, many fans think that Lil Wayne was more deserving of this spot since he’s actually from New Orleans. Even his longtime engineer and producer seemed to speak out against the NFL’s decision.

Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see what happens with Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show. It’s going to be a massive moment and will surely be an impressive and compelling affair despite these qualms and debates. Elsewhere, other fans are hoping that his good friend is correct in previewing a possible collaboration with Playboi Carti. But like always, when it comes to Kendrick, we can’t do much more other than be patient and rest assured that it’ll hopefully be something special.

Supporters believe Asap Rocky isn’t the only person in the Fenty household with a longstanding feud. Users online are convinced that Rihanna and Naomi Campbell are involved in a heated quarrel.

A viral video (viewable here) of Rihanna seemingly ignoring Naomi Cambell during a New York Fashion Week event on September 6 has users online in a tizzy. As the “Lift Me Up” singer made her way through the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum to her assigned seat of Alaia fashion the two fashion heavyweights seems to brush each other off.

Fans of each lady began to dig into the interaction further. Other clips from the event show Rihanna greeting several notable attendees including fellow supermodel Linda Evangelista (viewable here). Still no warm exchange between Rihanna and Campbell or even Law Roach can be found.

After the whisper grew louder, a source close to the matter told TMZ that the beef was one-sided. An insider with connection to Naomi Campbell told that outlet that Campbell doesn’t have a problem with Rihanna. The individual pointed out that Campbell’s face lit up with a smile as Rihanna made her way towards Campbell, and she even attended to help when her garment got caught up in her shoes.

Could this be a case of public overthinking? Sure. So, until Rihanna or Naomi Campbell address the rumor it is probably best not to rack your brain over it.

Lil Wayne Fans & Collaborators Express Outrage Over Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl Halftime Show

So many hip-hop fans are excited for Kendrick Lamar’s recently announced Super Bowl LIX halftime show in New Orleans on February 9, 2025. However, even some of his strongest supporters admit that Jay-Z and the NFL missed out on a massive and more well-deserved opportunity to bring Lil Wayne to the massive stage. Whether it was Young Money goons or people who are typically Drake/Weezy haters, a lot of people discussed this move and made their case for the Cash Money icon. Not only that, but Tunechi’s engineer and producer Fabian Marasciullo took to his Instagram Story on Sunday (September 8) to seemingly react to Kendrick’s announcement.

“Confused. Disappointed. Angry. But most of all. Inspired,” he wrote on IG, which led many to assume that he was talking about the NFL picking Kendrick Lamar instead of Lil Wayne. “Will never again be in a position or have the [goat emoji] in a position where we are at the mercy of someone elses decision. We will make the decisions.” Of course, another element to consider is Wayne’s loyalty to Drake in regards to the Kendrick battle, plus the fact that the Compton lyricist mocked his Toronto rival’s teases toward a “Game 2.”

Lil Wayne’s Producer Seems To Address Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl

Another argument in Lil Wayne’s favor is that the next two Super Bowls will be in California, so Kendrick Lamar would’ve had his shot. Overall, though, it’s clear that the public’s reaction to all this – no matter where they lean – falls victim to the lack of public knowledge about the business background of all this. But maybe this conversation would all become moot if the pgLang creative brings Weezy out in February. It’s very unlikely when you consider Young Money’s family ties, but Kendrick sticking up for Wayne on “Not Like Us” indicates that he still has a lot of love for him. Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne almost collaborated on a Jay Rock song years before Kendrick and the rest of TDE made it to the top of the rap game. SEE IT: Quavo’s Acting Career Speeds Off After Teasing New Live Action CGI Racing Movie ‘Takeover’

Well, this looks different … Read, set, go …On Friday (Sept. 6) Quavo dropped a teaser trailer for his fans to his upcoming live-action CGI film “Takeover.” In true sign of the times fashion, the visual was posted on the Gram. 

Now it’s just a short clip but it features what appears to be a near-lifelike version of the rapper turned actor tearing up an Atlanta roadway with a child in the backseat – ouch – while a bald man sits in the front passenger seat, holding a gun to Quavo’s side. Okay, now we’re getting somewhere. 

The visual is pretty intense and also gives viewers a police chase, blending Atlanta’s street racing culture, specifically street takeovers, with a world of high-stakes crime. Sounds like the logline to us.

Okay, so according to “Variety”, the gist of “Takeover” centers around Gamal Akopyan, the leader of an international heist ring, who uses street takeovers to pull off massive robberies. After his latest heist goes wrong, Akopyan must navigate the dangerous Atlanta takeover scene to escape — with nine figures’ worth of diamonds in tow. In addition to Quavo, actor Billy Zane will also star in the film.

Here’s what Quavo said in a statement: 

”Takeover” is unlike anything you’ve seen before and will blow minds. This film brings a whole new vibe that’s about to change the game, and I’m really hyped to share it with my fans.”

If you didn’t know, because we didn’t, Atlanta has become a hot spot for street racing and sideshows, where drivers block off streets to perform car stunts, often in the midst of illegal activities. 

Not get this, the film’s hybrid format, combining live-action and animation, aims to capture the allure and controversy of these street takeovers. Interesting artistic take.

ICYMI, Quavo’s acting career has been on the rise since he made his debut alongside his Migos groupmates, Takeoff and Offset, with a guest spot on FX’s “Atlanta” in 2016. He later made his film debut in 2022, appearing alongside Robert De Niro, John Malkovich, and Jack Huston in “Savage Salvation”. In 2023, Quavo landed a prominent role in “Praise This”, and he recently starred in John Travolta’s action-heist film “Cash Out”.

Outside of gracing the big and small screen, Quavo has also contributed to film soundtracks. Alongside generating buzz for “Takeover”, he recently promoted his collaboration with Ty Dolla Sign, “If I Fall”, which will be featured on the soundtrack for “Transformers One”. In the track, Quavo raps, “I’m in my prime, Optimus (Optimus), I’m goin’ big, Megatron,” a nod to the iconic “Transformers” characters. The song will play during the film’s end credits when it hits theaters on September 20.

So the release date for “Takeover” has not yet been announced, the teaser has already stirred excitement among fans. Keep an eye out for further updates on this action-packed film.
