The Golden State superstar seemed to appreciate the shout outs, carrying on a public friendship with Drizzy over the last decade. 2024 hasn’t been a great time for Drake or his fans, though, and many celebrities have hopped off the bandwagon. Steph Curry isn’t one of them.

Curry was the focus of a recent profile in GQ Sports. He discussed his career, and his involvement in the U.S. Olympics. The most unexpected, yet intriguing part of the profile, however, came when the Drake vs Kendrick Lamar beef was mentioned. Steph Curry did not hesitate to weigh in, and put his sizable weight behind the 6 God. “I’m a big Drake guy. I’ve been for a long time,” he asserted. He recognized that it has become fashionable to rag on the Toronto superstar, but he’s remained steadfast in his fandom. “I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that,” Curry added. “But I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”

Steph Curry’s name was actually used as a dig against Drake on the Kendrick Lamar diss “Meet the Grahams.” Lamar urged Curry to keep his family away from the rapper, given the accusations that have been leveled at him. Despite being a Drake stan for over a decade, James hyped up Dot and even went to the Pop Out show on Juneteenth. The divide between Steph Curry and James was crystal clear when “Not Like Us” played during the Olympics. Curry complained about the song. “Damn with this song,” he vented aloud. “It’s not the only song in America.” James, on the other hand, said he “loved it.”

Steph Curry has never discussed Kendrick Lamar publicly. There appears to be some bizarre synergy between the Compton rapper and Curry’s Warriors, though. Fans notice that whenever Lamar drops an album, the Warriors win an NBA title. It’s lined up multiple times: 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022. The funny thing is that Lamar isn’t even a Warriors fan. He’s a Los Angeles Lakers supporter, through and through. If Dot decides to drop in 2024, though, the streak could be broken.

Queen Barb Nicki Minaj is being accused of throwing shade towards millennial rap queen Ice Spice after the Y2K! star commented on one of Minaj’s post and she ignored it, which was embarrassingly obvious to everyone paying attention.

Minaj posted a throwback pic of herself on her Instagram page yesterday(August 4) for her 229M followers, captioning the post, “17 years ago [ribbon emoji] Crimped my own hair [tick emoji] Did my own makeup [tick emoji] 2 padded bras to make my boobs look bigger [tick emoji] Barbz!!!!”

Fans and artists alike, including Sexxy Red, Kim Petras, Akbar V and even Ice Spice, commented on Nicki’s 20-year-old pic and Nicki liked all of their comments except Ice’s.

Fans were the first to notice that Nicki ignored Spice’s smiley face and and heart eye emoji comment, which has now been removed from the post. Either Ice deleted her comment or Nicki removed it, but the two are still following each other on Instagram.

Even public displays of support from Lil Wayne and Lil Yachty, could win Drake over cool points. However, despite it all, future NBA Hall of Famer, Stephen Curry, hasn’t turned his back on his friend. In fact, according to him, he is “a big Drake guy.”

In an interview with GQ, Stephen Curry showed his love for the “Family Matters” rapper.

After being asked about his thoughts on the vicious Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, Curry made it clear as to which side he stands on.

“I’m a big Drake guy,” he said. “I’ve been for a long time.”

Curry went on to seemingly agree with the public’s declaration that Kendrick Lamar took home the victory in their beef. Still, that hasn’t swayed Curry’s support in any way.

“I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that,” he said. “But I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”

As transplant representative for the West Coast, maybe Stephen Curry can encourage the rest of California to ease up on Drake.

Trouble In Paradise still felt like it was in the early promo stages for many. Well, Chloe Bailey took notice of the concerns, and even responded to one fan who asserted that the album is going to be a flop.

The interaction is less negative than it sounds. While most flop predictions stem from a dislike of the artist, there was genuine concern on Chloe Bailey’s part. Fans want to see here succeed. A Lil Wayne Lyric Notebook Is Reportedly Up For Auction, But It Will Cost You A Pretty Penny

Lil Wayne proudly boasts about not writing his lines down. But that wasn’t always the case for the “A Milli” rapper.

Back during his time as part of Cash Money Records group Hot Boys, Lil Wayne certainly put pen to pad. Now, according to Billboard, a piece of that hip-hop history is up for sale.

The outlet reports that Lil Wayne’s notebook filled with handwritten lyrics from that era is on the auction block starting at $5 million through Moments In Time.

One lucky bidder will take home the handwritten lines from Lil Wayne’s verses on Hot Boys songs such as “We On Fire” and “I Feel.” This stationary was first revealed back in 2019.

At the time, the company revealed the seller stumbled upon it inside a vehicle once-owned by Cash Money Records. But the memorabilia was quickly tied up in a legal despite over proper ownership. In February, a civil court judge ruled in favor of the present owner.

Before you place your bid, it is important to note, you will want to read the product’s description. On the auction webpage, the seller noted that Lil Wayne’s notebook does contain water damage due to Hurricane Katrina. However, it remains in “fairly good condition.”

The Game Confirms “The Documentary 3” And Teases Fall Release Date

The Game never takes a play off. Whether it be recording or beefing with other artists, the Compton legend is always ready with something. Fortunately, this time around, it’s music. The Game recently appeared on the Tacos and Shawarma podcast and announced that The Documentary 3 is going to become a reality. If that wasn’t enough, the rapper teased a release date that suggests the album is going to have a quick turnaround. If The Game gets his way, The Documentary 3 will release on the anniversary of a prior installment.

The Compton rapper confirmed that he was revealing exclusive information on the podcast. “I’m definitely gonna start the new album and I ain’t told anybody that,” he explained to the hosts. “But yeah, The Documentary 3, I’m gonna go in hard.” The Game was asked whether the weight of expectation will factor into the recording sessions, and he admitted that he’s set a high bar for The Documentary brand. “I’m up for the challenge,” he asserted. “It’s gonna be tough.” The most exciting piece of info regarding the album, though, had to be the release date. The Game announced his plans to drop it the same exact day as a previous Documentary album. “I’ma drop it the same day that the other one dropped,” he noted.

The Game Is Up To Challenge Of Making A Worthy Sequel

It’s great news for West Coast fans, even if it is a little unclear. A quick run through the release dates for The Game’s previous albums confirms that The Documentary and The Documentary 2 came out on very different dates. The original, which is still hailed as The Game’s magnum opus, dropped on January 19, 2005. The sequel, which is considered one of the rapper’s best albums post-Documentary, dropped on October 9, 2015. He also dropped The Documentary 2.5, a deluxe version, on October 16. So what does The Game mean when he says the same day? If we’re being optimistic, we’re looking at a fall release that aligns with The Documentary 2. If we’re being pessimistic, then we’re looking at January 2025. The latter would make sense, as it would mark two decades since the original.

The Game has not had the easiest 2024. He tried and failed to strike up a beef with Rick Ross. He then got dunked on by Rozay when his ran into legal troubles. The Game also ran into controversy in L.A. due to his absence from Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out show. Many fans theorized that the rapper was uninvited due to his friendship with Lamar’s enemy, Drake. The Game even got on IG Live to set the record straight and claim there was no ill will between him and Compton’s Chosen One. It’ll be interesting to see if Drake or Lamar appears on The Documentary 3, since both popped up on the second one.
