Jay-Z Will Reportedly Regain The ‘Reasonable Doubt’ Album Rights, Even If Dame Dash Sells His Stakes
As Jay-Z declared on his 1996 classic with Mary J. Blige, you can’t knock the hustle. Dame Dash’s attempted sell of his stake in Jay’s debut studio album, Reasonable Doubt, will reportedly move forward.
According to TMZ, a public auction will be held for Dame’s one third percent interest in the project. However, a source close to the matter told the outlet that even should the sell successfully go through, it won’t hold much value.
In a filing, Jay-Z’s attorneys reportedly submitted a notice to make parties aware of copyright ownership. The alleged document states that, although his famed record label, Roc-A-Fella, is the current copyright holder, that will change in 2031.
At that time, “those rights will revert to one Shawn Carter/’Jay-Z,’” according to the document. The highly revered album first kicked off a legal spat between the duo in 2021, when Dame Dash tried to offer up the body of work as an NFT for hip-hop head to collect. But, that was supposedly shut down with the court’s intervention by 2022.
Now, that back-and-forth fight seems trivial considering Dash would eventually move forward in another way.
On August 29, Dame Dash’s stake will reportedly be sold off at a public auction in New York City.
Quavo Chants “Free Young Thug” While Performing “Pick Up The Phone”
Quavo called for the freedom of Young Thug while performing his iconic collaboration with the YSL rapper and Travis Scott, “Pick Up The Phone,” during the Clout Festival over the weekend. A clip of the moment has been going viral on social media as Thug remains behind bars while the ongoing trial for his case continues.
Fans have mostly responded positively to the clip; however, some users have been labeling him hypocritical considering his stance on gun control. “Is he for control on gun violence or not?!” one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, referring to his recent comments during a rally for Kamala Harris. Speaking at the Vice President’s campaign event in Atlanta, he reflected on the tragic death of his Migos partner, Takeoff and called for an end to gun violence.

Quavo & Young Thug Perform Together In Los Angeles
He isn’t the only one to voice support for Thug in recent days. Speaking with Adin Ross for a recent livestream, former President Donald Trump promised to look into his case if he wins the upcoming election. “I heard that actually,” Trump responded to Ross claiming Thug has been receiving unfair treatment. “So, I’ve heard about him and I’ve heard he’s being treated very unfairly by her [Willis] and I would tell her she’s gotta treat these patriots that are being all– it’s terrible. They’re going after them.” He concluded: “He’s gotta be treated fairly.” Meek Mill also co-signed those comments for Trump in a post on X. “Free Jeffrey. …. A loving man that put on a lot of people on in atl and created millions for a bunch of families from nothing!” he wrote.

Kendrick Lamar Fans Debunk Claim That TDE Didn’t Support Nipsey Hussle’s Funeral
Fans of Kendrick Lamar have been coming to the defense of Top Dawg Entertainment on social media after a rumor began to spread that the group wasn’t supportive of Nipsey Hussle’s family as they made funeral arrangements. An account on X (formerly Twitter) with the username “keep6ixsolid” shared a clip of Hussle’s brother, Blacc Sam, reflecting on the days after the rapper’s death. The clip stems from his recent interview with Big Boy. In the caption, the user claimed the comments showed Lamar’s lack of support.
“Bro wtf is this??? I sat right next to Kendrick and Top at the funeral in the family section?” Ben Baller responded to the post. Karen Civil also shot down the rumor: “This isn’t accurate. Punch, Top Dawg & TDE were very supportive and in communication with us during that time and still continue to be supportive. Don’t create a false narrative to align it with your personal issues with TDE. Be blessed & #LLNH.” Another fan remarked: “Playing dirty with some dirty propaganda it’ll blow up on you… this is a whole lot of nothing you wrote here. Trying to paint Lamar and TDE as careless when it’s not the truth. But it’s expected from an OVHOE.” More users complained about Drake’s fanbase as well.

Toosii Gets Vulnerable On New Single “Fuk You Mean”
It’s no secret that Toosii has come a long way since his quick rise to fame, and evidently, he only continues to grow and evolve. Fans have been begging for a new album ever since the release of Naujour in 2023. While it remains to be seen whether or not their wishes will be granted anytime soon, the New York-born performer recently delivered the next best thing, a brand-new single. “Fuk You Mean” arrived late last week, and already, his fans can’t get enough.
On the somber, mellow track, Toosii sings about giving his all to someone that he’s pursuing, spending money on luxurious designer items simply to impress them. Sadly, he just ends up disappointed in the end, when he finally realizes their true intentions. The song features heartfelt and vulnerable lyrics, falling in line with his last single “Where You Been,” which he dropped back in June. It’s unclear if the tracks will eventually become part of a larger project, but fans certainly hope so. They’re currently flooding his comments section with demands for a full-length album, and urging him to go back on tour.
What do you think of Toosii’s new track? Will you be adding “Fuk You Mean” to your summer playlist or not? Are you looking forward to seeing what he does next? Do you hope he drops another album sometime soon? Share your thoughts in the comments section and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates. Check out the new track down below.

Blueface Will Serve Out His Previously Suspended Four Year Sentence In Prison For Security Guard Assault
Blueface’s past run-ins with the law are catching up with him. According to Vibe, the “Holy Moly” rapper will remain behind bars for up to four years.
Back in 2021, Blueface allegedly assaulted a security guard at a club in San Fernando Valley, California. As a result of that incident, a judge has reportedly ordered that the rapper’s parole be rescinded. Now, instead of serving out his commuted sentence as a free man, that violation has landed him back behind bars, this time until every day is accounted for.
In a statement shared with XXL, a representative of Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office provided clarity on the ruling. “[Blueface] was sentenced to four years in prison during his sentencing hearing in 2022,” said the rep. “As [Blueface] was granted parole, he received an execution of suspended sentence for the four years in prison. Because he has now violated his parole, he has been ordered by the court to serve the four years in prison.”
However, Blueface’s manager, Wack 100, believes that his client will be released sooner. The Donat Show caught up with Wack 100 outside the courthouse following the judge’s decision. During their interview (view here), Wack 100 said that Blueface would receive current for the time he has already served, bringing his time down to three years.
SAINt JHN Laps Around In “Circles” On New Single: Stream
SAINt JHN is a very vibrant and versatile artist, and it seems like this new era for him will further fuse R&B and alternative rock elements. Moreover, this new single “Circles” is a love-lorn, guitar-led jam that displays a lot of vocal passion, dramatic instrumentation, and desperate themes of seeking to fit into a relationship and getting out of repetitious cycles. From what the cover art for this new song and that of the Guyanese-New Yorker’s previous single “Humble” indicate, these cuts will be on the new project COLLECTION II: FAKE TEARS FROM A POPSTAR.
Back to “Circles,” though, SAINt JHN builds a pretty powerful and bombastic cut thanks to the cavernous and grand production techniques that he applies to each element of the song. With these more prolific releases, fans hope that this new era manifests into this full-length sooner rather than later. He’s still been busy in recent months, assisting on Mez’s The Loading EP and contributing a Swizz Beatz, BIA, and Fivio Foreign collab to the Godfather Of Harlem soundtrack, “Street Opera.”
With all this in mind, fans of the “You Laughed At Me” creative are foaming at the mouth, and if we can expect this level of quality from his next move, he’ll have a killer year. If you haven’t heard SAINt JHN”s “Circles” yet, find it on your preferred streaming service or check it out on YouTube below. Down there, you can also find the comments section for you to drop your thoughts on the cut and some standout lines from it.
