Drake Is Feeling “Jolly” Since Moving On From Kendrick Lamar Feud, Gordo Reveals

Drake is apparently feeling “happy as sh*t” following his viral beef with Kendrick Lamar. His frequent collaborator, Gordo, spoke about the Toronto rapper’s current mindset during an interview with People published on Wednesday. It comes as fans have been concerned about his mental health due to the popularity of Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

“Ever since all this has happened … I’ve seen him happier. It’s really weird. He’s pretty jolly,” Gordo said. “The internet makes it seem like, ‘Oh, that photo, he’s all sad and sh*t.’ That’s just a bad photo from a bad camera. But because it’s him, it’s put under a magnifying glass like, ‘Oh, look at his eyes. He’s looking a little droopy. He hasn’t slept.’ But the guy’s been happy as sh*t, to be honest. He’s chilling.”

From there, he revealed that he doesn’t expect any more updates on the beef on Drake’s side. “He’s been past it,” Gordo added. “The thing is that he was just on the longest tour ever. He literally did a tour for like a year. I think he’s just chilling.” In the time since the release of his last diss track, “The Heart Part 6,” Drake has opted for some lighter releases. He’s appeared on songs from both Sexyy Red and Camila Cabello.

Elsewhere in Gordo’s interview with People, he discussed his growing friendship with Drake, working on Honestly, Nevermind together, and more. Despite Gordo expecting it to be wrapped up, Elliott Wilson recently theorized that there’s no end in sight for the feud. Be on the lookout for further updates on Drake and Kendrick Lamar on HotNewHipHop.

Today In Hip Hop History: Cormega Dropped His Classic Debut Album ‘The Realness’ 23 Years Ago

Screenshot 2024 07 24 at 2.14.07 PM

One of the most intriguing and insightful full length album to drop during a time when mixtapes were at their apex was when Queensbridge legend Cormega released his first studio LP aptly titled The Realness in 2001 on the indie LandSpeed imprint.

With an array of multi-faceted producers such as Queensbridge cohort Havoc of Mobb Deep, DJ J-Love, Sha Money XL, The Alchemist and even Mega himself, this was the introduction into the life of the street legend that the Hip Hop world first heard about on Nas’ “One Love”. This album was also following Mega’s release from The Firm after getting only one chance to shine, which was on the epic “Affirmative Action” single alongside Foxy Brown, Nas and AZ. So The Realness served as a redemption of sorts after being dropped from Def Jam, showing not only did the label make a mistake dropping a stellar artist, but missing out on the unveiling of one of the best albums of 2001.

The 15-track hidden gem, which ironically is also one of the most slept on albums of 2001, contains a slew of classic, yet under the radar tracks that resonated with core fans of Queensbridge crime rhyme and beyond. Songs like “They Forced My Hand” featuring original Juice Crew member Tragedy Khadafi aka Intelligent Hoodlum, “Thun & Kicko” with the late Prodigy of Mobb Deep, his “5 For 40” a cappella, the classic “R U My Nigga”, his ode to Hip Hop “American Beauty”, “Killaz Theme”, a hidden track featuring Prodigy and Havoc and an entire vibe of “Realness” that could only be given to the people through Cormega’s unique perspective.

Salute to Mega for dropping this important piece of Hip Hop history!

WATCH: Leaked Footage Shows Amber Rose Giving Joseline Hernandez the Hands While on ‘BET College Hill: Celebrity Edition’

From Slut Walks to MAGA: What Amber Rose Says Converted Her to Putting on the Red Hat

Footage from a fight between Amber Rose and Joseline Hernandez on BET College Hill: Celebrity Edition leaked online.

In footage obtained by TMZ, Rose takes the first swing and gets the best of Hernandez during the fight before it is separated. The video was previously held under wraps, with Hernandez revealing on Drink Champs the fight happened in a Literature class and stating she “put a head through a glass.”

Survey says: that’s a lie. You can see the clip below.

Amber Rose confused everyone after she delivered a speech at the Republican National Convention.

Once known as the creator of the slut walk and an advocate for women’s rights, Rose is now aligned with Trump and the Republicans, who have part of their campaign entrenched in banning abortion and limiting women’s rights.

Speaking on stage, Rose revealed she became a Trump supporter after she could not prove her claims of racism and more in conversation with her father, eventually embracing the MAGA team as “her people.”

“We all want a better country for our children,” Rose said. “But I’m here tonight to tell you, no matter your political background, that the best chance we have to give our babies a better life is to elect Donald Trump president.”

You can hear more of her reasoning below.

Antonio Brown Welcomes Baby Boy With Model Cydney Moreau

Former NFL star wide receiver Antonio Brown is a father once again. On Tuesday, Brown shared a video of mother, model Cydney Moreau, and new son Ace. Ace is Brown’s seventh child and was born on July 21. His oldest child, Antonio Brown Jr., was born in 2007.

On July 21, the internet reacted to the news that Antonio Brown welcomed his seventh child. NFL news aggregator Dov Kleiman shared a photo of Brown and the newborn on X (formerly Twitter) and a congratulatory note. Brown already had a large family of six kids: four sons and two daughters. Three sons and one daughter are with Chelsie Kyriss (Apollo, Ali, and Autonomy Brown). He also has a son, the aforementioned Antonio Brown Jr., with ex-girlfriend Shameika Brailsford. Additionally, he has another daughter with a former partner, Wiltrice Jackson.

Antonio Brown Is Now A Father Of 7

So, now, the internet seems divided. Some offer congratulations, while others express concern for the “poor baby” entering this situation. Brown has been known for his erratic behavior, especially in recent years. He is also navigating financial issues. After making over $80 million in his playing days, Brown struggled to make child support payments for the daughter he had with Wiltrice Jackson last year.

For Antonio Brown, in the midst of welcoming a new child, lawsuits are piling up. Brown reportedly owes nearly $8 million to various creditors. The biggest chunk, $1.2 million, goes to a Florida truck driver who sued AB for assault and battery back in 2020. Brown skipped the court date, so the judge ruled in the driver’s favor. Brown filed for bankruptcy in May, claiming to have only $50,000 or less in assets. However, he may be playing more of a strategic game with his bankruptcy filing. One that involves him avoiding repayment to those he owes money to. He made several investments with Floyd Mayweather in Florida’s real estate. Additionally, he owns a gym in Florida called 84/7 Fitness. He’s building a small empire while also trying to get through financial struggle. Hopefully, Ace has people who can provide for him as newborns need to be provided for, whether it ends up being Brown himself or someone else.

Boosie Badazz Apologizes For Dragging Yung Bleu’s Mentally Disabled Son

Boosie Badazz and Yung Bleu have been wrapped up in a heated feud for years now, and unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to show any signs of slowing down. During an interview with VladTV last month, for example, the Louisiana-born rapper clowned Yung Bleu for how his album Jeremy performed. He joked that Yung Bleu only made a couple hundred bucks off his Boosie and DJ Vlad diss track “Reading The Room,” despite seemingly investing a lot more into the accompanying music video.

This prompted a response from Yung Bleu, who claimed that he earns more than Boosie, made fun of the apartments on his property, and more. Boosie was quick to fire back, though his comments certainly managed to raise eyebrows. Aside from continuing to accuse Yung Bleu of stealing his money, and dragging his music, he also went after the rapper’s mentally disabled son.

Boosie Badazz Claims Yung Bleu Dissed His Kids First

“Maybe my kids can come over n help yo r**arded a*s son count to five,” Boosie wrote. “Go wipe all that damn slob up off your floor before y’all fall down n hurt yourself.” In another recent chat with Vlad, Boosie revealed that he received a great deal of backlash for this from his fans, who found his remarks insensitive. He apologized to everyone he offended, arguing that he only dissed Yung Bleu’s child because he dissed his kids first.

“When a motherf*cker talk [about] my kids, everything’s off limits,” he explained. “If you talk about my kids i’mma talk about your kids.” Despite this, he says he understands how his comments were hurtful, and regrets offending fans. What do you think of Boosie Badazz apologizing for dissing Yung Bleu’s mentally disabled son? Do you agree that this was the right thing to do? What about him claiming he only did it because Yung Bleu dissed his kids first? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Wack 100 Weighs In On Chrisean Rock’s Bizarre Arrest At Blueface Hearing

Last month, Chrisean Rock, the ex-girlfriend/baby mama of rapper Blueface, was arrested for appearing at his court hearing. The controversial multi-media figure is still trying to be there for him regardless of their troubled past. However, all that seems to be doing is getting her in more trouble than she already is, especially legally speaking. It’s why Rock showing up at the June hearing knowing she had active warrants was so puzzling. The key one is the 2022 Oklahoma ordeal. She was charged with “possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance”.

Wack 100, the manager for Blueface, has been an active voice during all of these legal issues. So, it was no surprise that he recently sat down with Vlad TV to discuss this wild arrest of Chrisean. In his chat with Vlad, Wack 100 gave extra insight for why she showed up knowing her situation. Essentially, with Jaidyn Alexis being there, she felt the need to show up. Wack claims he preached to Chrisean that it was far too risky, especially with her going on IG Live in the court room. Also making things worse is the fact that Blueface’s parents did not want to take Rock’s child.

Wack 100 Speaks On Chrisean & Blueface’s Future

However, Wack does point out that Karlissa Saffold, Blueface’s mom, is supposedly not allowed to be around the child. As for the father, Wack says that he will only take care of the kid if he is getting clout from it online, sadly. Apparently, Rock put the care of kid in the hands of a close friend for now. In regard to Blueface’s situation, Wack revealed to Vlad that he expects the rapper to be free soon. He predicts it will happen either on July 26, or at the latest, the end of this month.

What are your thoughts on Chrisean Rock being arrested during Blueface’s court hearing? Why do you think she felt the need to be out in public while having outstanding warrants? What is your reaction to Rock and Blueface’s being taken care of by her friend and not the rapper’s parents? Do you see these two ever figuring things out? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Blueface, Wack 100, and Chrisean Rock. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the worlds of music and pop culture.

Elliott Wilson Slams Charlamagne In Fiery Rant For “Talking Crazy” About Him

Elliott Wilson went off on Charlamagne Tha God during an appearance on the Bag Fuel Podcast, earlier this week. Wilson was unhappy with The Breakfast Club host for criticizing Complex’s decision to list him at number five on the “Hip-Hop Media Power Ranking.” He landed one spot behind Charlamagne who ranked number four behind only Kai Cenat, Joe Budden, and DJ Akademiks.

“I feel like we just never really clicked like that and also I didn’t like the last Brilliant Idiots sh*t he did talking crazy about me being on that list,” Wilson said. “Never explaining why I shouldn’t be top five, and I’m just tired of his sh*t. It’s old school. At a certain point, you just gotta say f*ck this person. F*ck you. I was born in 1971. It can just be that. We don’t have to be cool. We don’t gotta pretend.”

From there, he remarked that he’s not here to get a “legendary badge” like Angie Martinez or Sway Calloway. “I’m here to compete right now in the year of 2024. I know I’m a legend already. I still want to create great content… I was hot before you n***a. I’ll be hot forever. When you was getting Wendy [Williams] coffee n***a, I was hot,” he finished. Check out his full comments from the interview below.

Elliott Wilson Speaks On Hate From Charlamagne Tha God

JID’s Manager Jokes That New Album Is Never Releasing

JID’s fourth album, Forever & A Day, has been on the way for almost two years now. JID first announced it in August 2022. After that, JID missed the Fall 2023 window for the first project. He later announced a second project, a joint album with Metro Boomin, was in the works in addition to Forever & A Day. JID claimed the album was releasing this year, reassuring worried fans they didn’t scrap it. However, Top Dawg Entertainment President Punch may have ruined fans hopes for a 2024 release. He took to X to give JID’s manager, Barry Hefner, his “secret” to success.

Replying to a SZA fan account’s post celebrating the singer’s SOS reaching 80 weeks at No. 1 on the Top R&B Albums chart, Punch said “Insane.” When Hefner asked, “what’s your secret?” Punch replied with the strategy that left both SZA fans and SZA herself unhappy between the release of her CTRL and SOS. “The secret is… hold albums back.” SZA fans will remember the push and pull that was SOS’s rollout. SZA first promised it would release in 2020, but missed that window and then blamed her label. She later retracted those claims, and the album released two years later, in December 2022. It has been one of TDE’s best selling albums, and Apple Music ranked it among their 100 Greatest Albums earlier this year.

JID’s Manager Jokes That New Album Is Never Releasing

Hefner’s post, even as a joke, did not go over well with JID fans. Punch replied with “JID fans are gonna come after you.” Hefner had to reiterate that his post was sarcastic, as some replies thought he was going to seriously consider holding back JID’s next releases.

JID has been uncharacteristically quiet this year. Save for J. Cole’s brief involvement in the DrakeKendrick Lamar battle, the Dreamville camp has not been as vocal as they usually are. JID has released a couple of feature verses, including a recent appearance on Eminem’sFuel.” His likely working to finish his albums, and will not be back in a more prominent capacity until they’re actually done. Hopefully, Hefner doesn’t take Punch’s advice to heart when he does finish his work.
