For the past few months, ex-Blade star Wesley Snipes has been vocal about his displeasure with Marvel’s decision to recast his iconic character in the franchise. This week, Snipes turned his attention to his Blade: Trinity co-star, Patton Oswalt, sparking further controversy.

Snipes took to Instagram to express his frustrations, posting a cryptic message that seemed to call out Oswalt directly. He wrote: “Lordy Lordy Lordy, u mean to tell me PO was a ‘Pinocchio’ all along… and that’s the so-called ‘reliable source’? Well now ‘baby wipe’ anyone? #Blade #MarvelStudios #daywalkerklique

The post has left fans speculating about the underlying tension between Snipes and Oswalt, as well as the broader implications for the Blade franchise. Cordae Trades Bars With Lil Wayne As Easy As ‘Saturday Mornings’ In His New Video

This past Saturday, Cordae announced his third album is on the way, and today, he followed up with its first single, the punchline-packed “Saturday Mornings.” The song finds Cordae reuniting with his rhyme hero Lil Wayne to trade bars full of wordplay over an easygoing soul sample produced by Boogz. The video, directed by APLUS, sees the two rappers doing their thing outside of an airplane hangar, interspersed with day-in-the-life footage from the recording process of Cordae’s upcoming follow-up to From A Birds Eye View.

Although it’s been two years since that album was released, Cordae has kept up a relatively steady stream of single releases, including the Anderson .Paak collaboration “Two Tens” (part of a collection of J. Cole-produced tracks between the two that could fill out an EP), the Juice WRLD collaboration “Doomsday,” which appeared on Lyrical Lemonade’s new album this year, and “Make Up Your Mind.” He also created a collaboration with tennis star Naomi Osaka — their baby daughter, Shai.

“Saturday Mornings” marks the Uproxx cover star‘s second outing with Lil Wayne, with whom he previously collaborated on From A Birds Eye View single “Sinister.”

Latto Teased Her Upcoming Album ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea’ With A Cinematic Trailer Featuring Atlanta Legends 2 Chainz & T.I.

Sugar Honey Iced Tea, Latto’s new album, has an official release date: August 9. The “Big Mama” rapper teased some of the album’s music with a cinematic trailer obviously inspired by the movie ATL, paying homage to her hometown with landmarks from all over the Big Peach (Cascade roller rink, what’s up!) and cameos from Georgia legends 2 Chainz and T.I. There’s even narration from Big Rube, making Sugar Honey Iced Tea a true ATL affair.

Among the songs teased in the trailer are the previously released “Big Mama,” a song featuring an appearance from SZA, and another that samples T.I.’s “24’s.” Check it out above.

Sugar Honey Iced Tea allegedly takes its title not only from the signature drink of the South, but also from Latto’s recent, short-lived battle of diss tracks with Ice Spice. With Ice lashing out with a song called “Think You U The Sh*t (Fart),” it’s kind of funny to think Latto would name her album after the “polite” acronym, offering an unrepentant response to Ice’s challenge. Yes, she thinks she’s the sh*t — so much so, that she’s going to make us all acknowledge it.

Kendrick Lamar’s Movie With The ‘South Park’ Guys: Everything To Know About The Unlikely Team-Up

Kendrick Lamar was already one of the greatest rappers of all-time before he came after Drake. But following “Euphoria,” “6:16 In LA,” and “Not Like Us,” well, he’s still one of the greatest rappers ever, and also one of the funniest. “Why you trollin’ like a bitch? Ain’t you tired? / Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A minor” gets me every time. Lamar’s pairing with the South Park creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, on a feature-length film seemed like an usual pairing when it was announced in 2022, but not so much anymore.

Here’s everything we know about The Untitled South Park Guys and Kendrick Lamar Project, which is what I’m calling it until an official title is revealed.

Plot

The Untitled South Park Guys and Kendrick Lamar Project is an original live-action comedy that will “depict the past and present coming to a head when a young Black man who is interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his,” Entertainment Weekly reported in 2022. The script is from long-time South Park writer, producer, and voice-of-Towelie, Vernon Chatman. (He also created MTV2’s Wonder Showzen and Adult Swim’s The Heart, She Holler.)

Lamar and Dave Free will produce The Untitled South Park Guys and Kendrick Lamar Project through their company PGLang, while Stone and Parker produce for Park County.

“I’m excited to announce that we’re going into production this summer on a [comedy] from the creators of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker,” Paramount film chief Brian Robbins said at CinemaCon earlier this year. “This script is one of the funniest and most original scripts we’ve ever read, and it’s certain to create some fireworks when it hits theaters on July 4, 2025.”

Parker and Stone are three-fourths of the way to an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony). All they’re missing is an Oscar — could this be it?

Cast

It’s unclear if Lamar, Parker, or Stone will appear in the film, but don’t expect to see Kanye West or Barbra Streisand (what a movie that would be).

Release Date

The Untitled South Park Guys and Kendrick Lamar Project hits theaters on July 4, 2025, two days after the Jurassic World movie with Scarlett Johansson.

There’s no trailer yet and won’t be for awhile. Until then, you can always watch Kendrick Lamar’s star-studded “Not Like Us” music video or maybe this ranking of every South Park song. I haven’t watched the whole thing, but if “Let’s Fighting Love” isn’t in the top 5, I revoke my endorsement of the video.

Funny Marco Reveals Why He Canceled Stand-Up Tour With Bobbi Althoff

Funny Marco has released a video speaking at length about his decision to cancel his joint tour with Bobbi Althoff. In the candid update, he explains that, while he still loves Althoff, their comedic styles weren’t meshing the way he had hoped. He says neither of them is in the wrong and it boils down to a difference of opinion.

“I love Bobbi to death, Bobbi is a good person… I don’t have sh*t bad to say about nobody,” he began. “But when people pay they hard working money I really care about that. When I’m on a stand-up tour, and I’m selling out these tours, and then me and Bobbi being able to come together and people are paying they money to come see us, I really want that to get better.”

“I did stand-up before and I’m still doing it so I understand I’m learning how to entertain a crowd and it’s not the same thing that you get on Instagram. … And I feel like Bobbi was stiff a little bit,” he added. The two had been performing together since May and were scheduled to conclude the tour on August 17 in Kansas City. It’s no secret that Donald Trump has had some wild ideas, and one of them involved Kanye West, according to Alyssa Farah Griffin. The former White House communications director, who worked closely with Trump in 2020, recently opened up about one of his more bizarre requests on an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. According to her, the ex-president once suggested a church service on the White House lawn, led by Ye.

“This is gonna be dark,” Griffin began. “To be honest, one day, he wanted to have Kanye West come and do a church service on the White House lawn to unify the country. And I can think of few things less unifying than that. We were like, ‘Not the time or place, sir.’”

Alyssa Farah Griffin Reveals Donald Trump’s Most Bizarre Plan

Of course, it’s unclear exactly how that would have gone, particularly considering Ye’s own controversial past. The Chicago-born performer has been a loyal Trump supporter for years now. Despite their past differences, he appears to be rooting for him in the upcoming election. Trump has already run into some serious trouble in recent weeks, however, as someone tried to assassinate him at a Pennsylvania rally earlier this month. He walked away with only an ear wound, though things certainly could have ended much worse for him.

The shooting injured Trump and another attendee and left one supporter dead. It also prompted questions about how his security failed to spot the gunman and stop him sooner. The Department of Homeland Security began a probe into the Secret Service days after the incident. Young Thug Attempts To Get Bond From New Judge In YSL RICO Case

Young Thug and his attorney, Brian Steele, have filed another motion attempting to get bond as the YSL RICO trial has received a new judge, Paige Reese Whitaker. They argue Thug has strong ties to the community and isn’t a flight risk. Additionally, they say he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

“In the Great State of Georgia, unlike other States, for purposes of pretrial bond analysis, the presumption of innocence remains with the person accused of an offense, even a capital offense, from arrest and even during trial…” the motion reads. “That means, prior to and during trial, Courts view the criminally accused to be innocent of the charges waged against him/her. It has been written that the most fundamental premise of our criminal justice system is that the criminally accused cannot be punished for an offense until the prosecution proves guilt beyond a reasonable doubt… Thus, the granting of a reasonable pretrial bond must be preserved. Otherwise, the presumption of innocence, secured only after centuries of struggle, would lose its meaning.”

Whitaker took over as the presiding judge in the case after Ural Glanville’s recusal, earlier this month. “I would like for us to maintain a degree of decorum and dignity and professionalism that is what is expected of all of us as members of the bar,” Whitaker said. “I’m here to give everybody a fair trial, a fair shake, and follow the law.” To that end, she’s banned headphones and eating in the courtroom.

Tory Lanez Announces New “Free Tory Playlist” Via Prison Phone Call

While there are a lot of people out there who have tossed Tory Lanez to the wayside since his arrest, there might be even more fans overall. Part of this comes from how music he continues to feed them. If you have not been paying attention as of late, the Brampton, Ontario, Canada native has been dropping these “Lost Tapes” twice a week, every week of July so far. That equates to six singles and what is cool about these drops is that all of them were recorded at different points in his career. Some have gone back as far as 2015, with the latest offering being from 2020. Now, though, Tory Lanez is going to be continuing this pattern in a different way going forward.

Just moments ago, “The Color Violet” multi-hyphenate shared a special announcement with his social media followers via a prison phone call. In this roughly 20 second chat, Tory explains that he will dropping weekly songs like he has been, but through something called the “Free Tory Playlist”. Also, instead of putting out past unreleased material, Lanez is giving his fans fresh tracks from behind prison walls that he’s recording in real time. He says that after about “20 something to 30 something f***-ups and mistakes” him and his engineer were able to find a way to deliver the same studio-quality material from behind bars.

Thomas Matthew Crooks Identified On Body Cam Following Donald Trump Assassination Attempt

Bodycam footage taken by Secret Service agents reveals the aftermath of Thomas Matthew Crooks’ failed assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump. Crooks attempted to assassinate Trump at a campaign on July 13, ahead of the Republican National Convention. Trump survived, escaping the situation with nothing more than an ear injury, which came when the bullet grazed him. One rally attendee died, and two more were injured. Since the assassination attempt, questions about the poor security job arose. The Department of Homeland Security began a probe into the Secret Service on July 16.

Republican senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa posted new footage of the immediate aftermath of the assassination attempt. In the footage, which was taken by a Secret Service agent’s helmet camera, the security personnel on location are talking through what took place. The grisly footage shows what appears to be an agent standing on the roof with several law enforcement officers. They are attempting to make sense of the timeline of events. Viewers can see the blurred, lifeless body of 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks at various moments.

“For the past 10 days, questions have only been building regarding the catastrophic security failure that occurred on July 13,” said Senator Grassley in a statement. “Federal agencies, particularly the Secret Service, have failed to be transparent with the American people. This assassination attempt is a matter of significant public interest, and the public’s business ought to be public. I’m releasing these records as part of my efforts to get answers and hold agencies accountable.” Grassley is not the only politician demanding answers. Trump himself issued a similar demand for accountability on his Truth Social page.

Following the assassination attempt, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle announced her resignation. After receiving heat for the security breakdown that took place on July 13, the media and citizens alike speculated that she would not remain in that position for much longer. Lawmakers from both parties called for her resignation, and she did not wait long to do so. President Biden announced that he would fill her vacancy soon. The Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Col. Christopher Paris said that his authorities warned the Secret Service about Thomas Matthew Crooks on the rooftop. It is not yet clear when the miscommunication occurred. Law enforcement is working to make complete sense of what happened that day.
