Whelp, blame Amsterdam authorities. Nicki Minaj’s concert at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, which drew thousands of fans, was abruptly postponed due to her arrest in the Netherlands just hours before the show. The 41-year-old American singer and rapper was detained at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport on suspicion of possessing soft drugs.

The Queens rapper was rightfully upset but she still apologized to her fans after finally arriving in Manchester late Saturday night. She posted on X: “Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today. May God cover you and all that is connected to you. May you be blessed beyond your imagination. Please please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies.”

Despite Minaj’s detention, fans were allowed into the indoor venue on Saturday evening. A post on the arena’s X account around 5:15 PM stated, “Please note that general admission and premium doors for tonight’s Nicki Minaj show will now open at 19:00.”

Minaj was released from custody just before 9 PM. However, she will have to pay an undisclosed fine for “illegally exporting soft drugs from the Netherlands to another country,” according to Dutch police, as reported by Sky News.

However, in the early hours of Sunday, she posted a live stream on Instagram from central Manchester, showing a crowd of fans gathered in the street below.

Get this: The concert will be rescheduled, with promoters Live Nation stating: “Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled performance, which will be announced ASAP. Despite Nicki’s best efforts to explore every possible avenue to make tonight’s show happen, today’s events have made it impossible. We are deeply disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused.”

Here’s how Minaj spoke on the issue on socials … In several social media posts on X and Instagram, Minaj claimed the police said they found drugs in her luggage after customs checks. She wrote on X: “They said they found weed.” She also asserted, “They took my luggage without consent” and “They’re trying to keep me from MANCHESTER.” Additionally, she commented: “This is Amsterdam btw, where weed is legal.”

Minaj was also ready to document the incident, as she filmed what seemed to be an airport official asking her to have her luggage checked. She later wrote: “It’s a 45 minute to an hour flight. So they’re probably trying to stall for about 4 hours.” She added: “Now they said I have to go 5 mins away to make a statement about my security to the police precinct.”

Robert van Kapel, a spokesman for the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee military police, confirmed to NBC News, Sky News’ US partner network, “We can confirm that we have arrested a 41-year-old American woman at Schiphol Airport because of possession of soft drugs.”

Diddy’s Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Will Not Be Removed

Well, if you thought Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was going to be removed amid mounting accusations, think again. Sources say it will remain in place despite numerous calls for its removal amid his ongoing legal troubles.

Yes, the 54-year-old rapper and music mogul faces a growing number of sexual assault lawsuits, leading many people from all over the spectrum to demand the removal of his star. However, a Hollywood Chamber of Commerce spokesperson told TMZ that the organization is “powerless” to remove stars once installed on Hollywood Boulevard. The Chamber only has the authority to nominate, manufacture, and install stars, not to remove them.

ICYMI, Combs was honored with the 2,362nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May 2008, with actor Jamie Foxx introducing him at the ceremony. Foxx praised Combs, saying, “He throws the best party you’ve ever seen in your life,” and added, “This is big. This is legendary. And they’ll never be able to take this away from you.”

Despite the increasing number of lawsuits and a federal criminal investigation, Combs’ star is set to stay … For now. He has previously denied the sexual assault allegations, asserting that his accusers are seeking a “payday.” Yea, but there’s the tape …

Last week, incriminating footage emerged showing Combs violently attacking Ventura in a 2016 hotel surveillance video. Following the video’s release, Combs issued a public apology, which was met with skepticism and anger from social media users who questioned the sincerity of his remorse.

Get this: Ventura broke her silence on Thursday, urging people to “open your heart to believe victims the first time” amid accusations of lying about the abuse, including from Combs himself.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney stated they could not prosecute Combs for the assault due to the statute of limitations. Ventura had previously claimed in a now-settled lawsuit that Combs paid the hotel $50,000 for the footage after the attack.

In the wake of the aftermath, even more women have come forward with sexual assault allegations against Combs, dating back decades. One recent lawsuit, filed by April Lampros, alleges that Combs sexually assaulted her multiple times during the 1990s and early 2000s, according to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail. All that seemingly heinous and allegedly criminal behavior aside, his Hollywood star will remain.

South Park spares no one, and not even Lizzo is safe. The rapper just shared her reaction to a recent episode of South Park that satirized the Ozempic weight loss drug craze by using her name and body positivity brand as an alternative solution. Yup, they did that, and you have to see her stitch reaction on her Instagram account @lizzobeeating to believe it. 

On Friday (May 24), the animated comedy series released “The End of Obesity” on Paramount+. In the episode, South Park character Eric Cartman seeks a prescription for Ozempic to lose weight, but when he can’t afford the drug and his insurance won’t cover it, his doctor offers an unconventional solution … Called LIZZO. Wild. 

“I’m going to write you a prescription for Lizzo,” the doctor says in the episode. “She’s a really good singer who talks about body positivity, and just being happy with the way you look. I want you to listen to Lizzo five times a day, and watch her videos just before bedtime. I’m afraid you’ll have to be on Lizzo for the rest of your life.”

In seemingly all good fun, Lizzo used the joke to her advantage and responded to the episode with a TikTok video in which she watches a portion of the episode. “That’s crazy. I just feel like, damn, I’m really that b—-,” she says in the video. “I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f— to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f— I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years.”

On a more serious note, Lizzo recently discussed her mental health amid ongoing lawsuits and public criticism. “I’m the happiest I’ve been in 10 months,” she wrote on Instagram. “The strange thing about depression is you don’t know you’re in it until you’re out of it. I’m definitely not all the way as carefree as I used to be.. But the dark cloud that followed me every day is finally clearing up. My smile reaches my eyes again and that’s a win. I thought my album was finished.. but I gotta get some of these good vibes off in a banger real quick. Thanks for your patience.”

Lizzo also faced scrutiny over the past year due to a harassment lawsuit filed by three former dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, in August 2023. The lawsuit accuses Lizzo and her company, Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc., of various legal wrongdoings and includes detailed allegations. In response to the lawsuit, Lizzo denied the claims on Twitter, calling them “false allegations” and “sensationalized stories.”

SOURCE LATINO: Sueños Music Festival Lights Up Grant Park with Latin Music Stars

Yesterday, the Sueños Music Festival took over Grant Park in Chicago for its third year, returning to a glorious and sunny Saturday afternoon. The sold-out crowd was treated to performances by some of the biggest names in Latin music.

Headliner Rauw Alejandro showcased why he is one of the most acclaimed and adventurous artists in the industry today. The Puerto Rican superstar captivated the audience with an electrifying closing performance of “PUNTO 40,” complete with shirtless choreography that left fans mesmerized.

Rising Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko impressed with her cool girl swagger, delivering hits like “Classy 101” and highlights from her new album att. She also brought out Spanish rapper and singer Bad Gyal to perform their hit single “Chulo Pt 2,” stunning the audience.

The festival’s first day featured a strong showcase of Mexican music. Heartthrob Ivan Cornejo serenaded the crowd at sunset with his heartfelt corridos, moving fans to tears. Earlier in the day, hitmaker Xavi performed at his first-ever music festival, unleashing Billboard Hot 100-charting hits like “La Diabla” and “La Víctima.”

Lil Duval continued to reiterate to fans on social media that his “Gemini Retreat” is nothing like Diddy’s parties and the alleged behavior that would take place. In a clip on social media caught by Hollywood Unlocked, the comedian went around his party confirming that everyone was there consensually. He then filmed a group of girls dancing.

In the comments section, fans still weren’t happy. “We are not comparing your retreat, we are comparing your behavior,” one user wrote. “Both of you are womanizers, and both of you degrade women in your own ways. One is a Covert Narc and the Other is an Overt Narc. Now stop projecting your insecurities, and enjoy your ‘safe’ party.” Another added: “He always wanna crack jokes on sh*t that’s not funny that’s why he a D – list celebrity now.” One more echoed a similar sentiment: “Yall n****s really think this Diddy sh*t is funny huh?”

Diddy was hit with his seventh sexual assault lawsuit in less than a year, last week, when a woman came forward to accuse him of raping her over multiple instances in the 1990s. Producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones has also accused the Bad Boy mogul of making unwanted advances on him. He and Cassie additionally settled a lawsuit back in November of last year.
