Post Malone Lights Up Brand New Las Vegas Venus For New Year’s Show

Post Malone’s live shows have developed a must-see reputation over the years. The rapper and singer’s versatile talent makes for a show with impressive variety throughout. He also has a roster of hits than can hold up to almost anyone and is no stranger about pulling them all out at shows. That’s why it’s no surprise that Posty got booked for a New Year’s event and a pretty special one at that.

The “Chemical” hitmaker took the stage at one of Las Vegas’ most notable new venues, The Fontainebleau. The stage is as brand new as they come, having celebrated its grand opening just a few weeks ago in mid-December. It’s also a relatively small space for an artist of Malone’s caliber, seating less than 4000 people. He played a 90-minute set that concluded with him ringing in the new year alongside pyrotechnics, confetti, and cheering fans. Check out some clips of the performance below.

Post Malone’s New Year’s Celebraration

Earlier this year, Post Malone found himself at the center of some nasty drama. He was accused of being physically and verbally abusive to an ex-girlfriend. When the accusations were made public her lawyers claimed that they had proof of the alleged incidents which ended up being text messages. That caused Malone to take legal action of his own against the lawyers who made the claim a few months later. Developments in the legal proceedings have come pretty slowly in the months since.

Earlier this year, Post Malone shared his new album AUSTIN. The album was preceded by two hit songs “Chemical” and “Mourning.” The tracks have raced up more than 300k and 100k streams respectively. The album received mixed reviews from critics upon its release in in July. Subsequently, a few deep cuts like “Something Real” and “Speedometer” have emerged as fan favorites. Just before 2023 ended, on December 31, Dave Chappelle wrapped up his year with a new stand-up comedy special, The Dreamer, for Netflix. It’s definitely one for Lil Nas X fans to watch, as Chappelle devoted some time in his set to recounting his first meeting with the rapper.

Chappelle explained:

“I know a dreamer when I see one, and I’ve met many powerful dreamers in my life, none more powerful than the man who calls himself Lil Nas X.

I met this n**** at a party, I had no idea who he was. But the minute he walked in that party, I knew I was in his dream. Everybody in the party was another dreamer. Everyone was famous, but when that n**** walked in, he was dressed like C-3PO. He was shining! And everyone was like, ‘Oh my God, there he is! That’s Lil Nas X!’

I didn’t know who he was. For some reason, out of all them dreamers, he walked right up to me. And he said, ‘I tried to get you in my video.’ I didn’t know what the f*ck he was talking about. I said, ‘What? What video?’ And he was just looking at me like, ‘You know what video,’ and walked away. And I watched him walk away. I said, ‘Man, this n****’s having a very powerful dream.’”

Drake Shares His First New Year’s Thoughts After Being Named Most Streamed Rapper Of 2023

Drake has been collecting so many commercial accolades for so long that it isn’t even a surprise anymore when he does something amazing. This time, he achieved a pretty substantial Spotify milestone. Right at the end of 2023, the platform named him as their most-streamed rap artist of 2023. Drizzy’s entire discography racked up an absolutely stunning 17.6 billion streams in the 12 months of 2023. Only three artists in the world had more streams on Spotify last year, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Bad Bunny.

Drake also rang in the new year by sharing his first thoughts of 2024 on social media. “First thought for 2024: I’m not your emotional support dog,” the rapper captioned a bizarre new Instagram post. The post is likely a reference to his new album For All The Dogs which deploys canine imagery in the lyrics a handful of times throughout the project. The caption is attached to a very surreal series of seemingly unrelated pictures making up the post itself. Check out the strange Instagram post below.

Drake Is Still For All The Dogs

Following the release of For All The Dogs, Drake claimed that he was going on a hiatus from releasing new music. He’s dropped at least one project every year dating back to 2019 so it’s no surprise that he’s looking for a break. But before he could even get started on his hiatus he shared an extended version of his new album. The new version featured Scary Hours 3, a six-track EP of new material.

Last month, Drake shared a new music video for the closing track and breakthrough hit of the EP. The song is called “You Broke My Heart” and features some of the most notable lyrical callouts and references on the project. He found himself in some pretty hot water following the release of the music video though. That’s because it features a cameo appearance from controversial country singer Morgan Wallen. What do you think of Drake’s bizarre new Instagram post? Are you surprised that he’s once again the most streamed rapper of the year on Spotify? Let us know in the comment section below.

The Game, Big Hit & Hit-Boy Drop Dual Music Video For “Paisley Dreams / P Fiction”: Stream

The Game and father-son duo Big Hit and Hit-Boy just kicked off 2024 with a bang with their surprise nine-track EP, Paisley Dreams. The project emerged from a random studio session the trio held, ad ended up manifesting into much more than the one song they intended to complete. It’s a very lush and West Coast-inspired collection of songs, ranging from soulful boom-bap to hard-knocking Cali swings and some variation in between. There’s no better example of that than the duo of the dreamy and melancholy “Paisley Dreams” plus the gritty and boisterous “P Fiction,” for which this group dropped a dual music video. It switches from grayscale to full color as each MC spits through their verse on a night out on the town.

Furthermore, “Paisley Dreams” is a perfect example of the light, breezy, and almost comforting brand of boom-bap that Hit-Boy excels at. It’s a sound that he’s worked with a lot as of late, especially for his incredible run of albums with the one and only Nas. The Game and Big Hit deliver verses that range between luxurious, reflective, and boastful, and their deliveries give it that extra griminess. “P Fiction,” on the other hand, has a more traditional West Coast bounce that, although more aggressive, still fits with the gorgeous sample work. The two tracks work very well together as contrasted displays of these artists’ talents, and the rest of the mixtape follows a similar logic.

Chrisean Rock Breaks Up Tamar Braxton’s Prayer Circle Backstage At Show In New Video

It had been a relatively quiet few days by Chrisean Rock’s standards leading up to New Year’s Eve. But now she’s being roped back into a tailspin of previous drama from back in November. As the story goes, Chrisean was backstage at one of Tamar Braxton’s shows in Los Angeles. She was expecting to perform, but when she was told that she wasn’t on the schedule at all a heated altercation sparked. That resulted in Chrisean allegedly assaulting one of Braxton’s backup dancers James Wright and putting him in the hospital.

While Rock denies that the fight ever happened, it’s her word against numerous others who shared their perspectives on the night. Now, a new video acquired by TMZ may shed some light on how tensions first arose backstage at the show. In the clip, Chrisean breaks up a prayer circle being held backstage with Toni Braxton looking particularly upset by the move. They claim that it wasn’t the incident that ultimately led to the fight, though it’s easy to see how it could have contributed to things escalating. Check out the newly shared video below.

Chrisean Rock On The Night Of James Wright Fight

The most recent drama Chrisean started had to do with Jaidyn Alexis’ new house. Blueface claims that he bought the house for Alexis even though the two are now broken up but Rock refuted that. She claimed that the house wasn’t actually bought but actually just rented. She also claimed it wasn’t even Blue who paid for it. Since then fans have been piecing together any details they can get their hands on trying to find the truth.

Last month, Sexyy Red shared a snippet of a remix of her song “Bow Bow Bow” with Chrisean on it. She took the opportunity to take shots directly at Blueface with her appearance on the track. What do you think of Chrisean Rock breaking up Tamar Braxton’s prayer circle backstage? Do you think it contributed to the alleged fight that broke out later that night? Let us know in the comment section below.
