Over the past several months, Rick Ross has been quite active in dropping new tracks. Of course, the catalyst of this trend is his collaborative record with his MMG (Maybach Music Group) signee, Meek Mill. Too Good To Be True, is full of luxurious bangers. However, the album is not a watermark in Ross’s discography. That is apparent, especially when you look at the lackluster first-week sales numbers.
However, the fact that he is still willing to drop more music regularly is a privilege. Ross continues to prove that he can drop good verses on other artists’ tracks. Go listen to the new 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE and Rich Brian cut “LiGhT rAiLs.” Hopefully, we get more of those performances on the upcoming record he has just announced. LeBron James has posted a cryptic message to social media amid a period of vocal frustration with the Lakers. LeBron posted a tweet with a single hourglass emoji shortly after the Lakers lost on the road to Atlanta. Could this mean that “time is running out” for LeBron’s tenure in LA? After all, LeBron’s contract with the team, which runs through the end of next season, was signed on the notion of the Lakers being a championship contender.
Furthermore, as mentioned, LeBron has been open about his frustrations with the team over the past few weeks. “We could on any given night beat any team in the NBA. And then on any given night we could get our ass kicked,” LeBron said after the Lakers fell to the Hawks and dropped to 24-25 on the season. The Lakers have plummeted in the standings after winning the inaugural In-Season Tournament in mid-December. They have won just 10 games since that December 9 over Indiana.

However, this is just the latest blunt assessment that LeBron has offered amid the team’s continued woes. “I mean, we just suck right now,” LeBron told reporters after a January 4 loss to Memphis. Furthermore, he railed against people using the aforementioned IST as a barometer of team success. “That was just two games. It’s a small sample. Everyone is getting so cracked up about Vegas and keep bringing up Vegas. It was two games. We took care of that business. It was the in-season tournament, we played it, we won it. But that was literally just two games,” LeBron added at the time.
Despite the growing mutiny in the Lakers locker room, the organization appears set on retaining head coach Darvin Ham as the team leader. While injuries have played a major role in the lack of team consistency, Ham’s offseason decisions and ongoing roster choices continue to baffle both fans and players alike. The Lakers are next in action against the Celtics on February 2.
Benzino says he’s planning on dropping another diss track aimed at Eminem. Speaking about their long-standing feud on social media, earlier this week, he remarked that he already “exposed” Eminem with his first diss, “Vulturius,” and has more on the way.
“Watch what I do to this dude. Y’all think that first one was light work. That was the appetizer. That was just the bait. He didn’t take the bait. He should’ve been said something in 48 hours, he sees the comments,” Benzino said. “I’m in a different mind state than I was 22 years ago, 23 years ago. I’m hungry right now. It’s an opportunity to finally show what the f*ck I got to offer. I already won this round. We ain’t talking about what happened 22 years ago.”

The latest flare-up of the feud began when Eminem dropped “Doomsday Pt. 2.” On the song, the Detroit artist raps, “What is the opposite of Benzino? A giraffe. Go at his neck, how the f**k is that? How can I go at somethin’ he doesn’t have? Arms so short he can’t even touch his hands when they’re up above his head doin’ jumpin’ jacks. Sorry, I don’t mean to upset you, Ben’, when I talk about all the debt you in.” He also brings up his daughter, remarking: “guess that Coi Leray feat’s in the toilet, aye?” Benzino eventually fired back with his own diss track, “Vulturius.” Check out his latest comments on the beef below.

NBA All-Star Weekend is almost here, taking place on Sunday, February 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The entire weekend will consist of its usual events, including competitions like the Celebrity Game, as well as the 3-Point and Slam Dunk Contests, among others. As the event draws closer and anticipation rises, the starting lineups for the 2023-2024 NBA All-Star Game have been revealed.
The 73rd edition of the All-Star Game sees the NBA returning to the traditional Eastern vs. Western conference format, with two guards and three front-court players as starters. They previously implemented a draft in 2017 where captains chose players regardless of conference. According to NBA Communications, three voting groups determined the All-Star starters: 50% fan votes, 25% players, and 25% media panel. Additionally, head coaches chose the reserves for each team. Both conferences are stacked with big names and many of the best players in the league. This year’s starters for the NBA All-Star Western Conference are a multinational group, with three of the five starters being non-American. Including Greek-Nigerian Giannis Antetokounmpo and Cameroonian Joel Embiid in the Eastern Conference, the All-Star teams contain international stars on the lineups. Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Dončić hails from Slovenia. Currently leading his team’s franchise leader for career triple-doubles, this is Dončić’s fifth NBA All-Star selection and fourth as a starter. When he made the Western Conference in 2020, he became the youngest European player to start in an All-Star game.

This year is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s second selection for the NBA All-Star Game. The Canadian guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder made his All-Star debut last year. He ranked number one in player and media voting, becoming the fourth player in Thunder history to become an All-Star, joining the likes of Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, and Paul George. The Thunder currently stand at number 3 in the Western Conference under the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets.

To no surprise, LeBron James is an NBA All-Star starter. This year marks his record-breaking 20th All-Star selection, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in doing so. Last year, James also broke Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time league scoring record. Since he was first selected in the 2004-2005 season, the arguable GOAT has been a 7x captain and won 3 Game MVP Awards. Starting in 2018, he and Team LeBron won the All-Star Game for five consecutive years until 2023. While James’ team may have lost to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team last All-Star Weekend, he is more than capable of securing another win.
Kevin Durant

Besides LeBron James, Kevin Durant has been selected as an NBA All-Star more than any other player. This year is his 14th All-Star selection and 12th as a starter. Since his first selection in 2010, he has received the NBA All-Star Game MVP Award twice. In 2023, Durant was traded to the Phoenix Suns after spending three seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. That same year, he rose on the NBA’s All-Time Scoring List, currently ranking at the tenth spot. In the Western Conference, the Suns stand at number six with 27 wins and 20 losses this season.

After winning the NBA championship last year with the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokić secured his sixth All-Star selection. The Serbian center first became an All-Star in 2019 and has been representing the Nuggets ever since. He is the only Denver player besides Alex English to start in four All-Star games. With Jokić’s help, the Nuggets have become a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference. Currently standing in second place, we will see if Denver has what it takes to reclaim the title they won last season.

Just yesterday, she was in the news as people commented on the appearance of her child. Some believe Chrisean Jr. has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, which is a very serious condition. As many of you have seen by now, the Baddies star got herself a tattoo of Blueface, on her face. The reference photo was his mugshot, which made the whole thing worse. West Hollywood’s very own Lakimii Tattoo Shop has revealed that the face tattoo is, in fact, real. They have given Chrisean some tattoos in the past, so they know her well. Furthermore, they claim to have a staunch anti-face tattoo policy. That said, they decided to grant Chrisean’s wish. Given the social media buzz this tat generated, it is easy to see why they would do it. In the end, it comes out as a great business decision that could pull in other high-profile clients. Hopefully, these comments finally put any debates to rest.

The Hawks appeared to reveal which side of the Nicki Minaj–Megan Thee Stallion beef they, or at least their arena PA operator, were on as Minaj’s “Big Foot” was heard at State Farm Arena prior to the team’s game against the Lakers. The diss track, released last Sunday, was the most notable addition to the pre-game mix as fans entered the arena. The footage quickly went viral, with commenters online calling the PA operator “messy” as a result.
The song choice appeared to inspire Atlanta as the Hawks controlled the game wire-to-wire and came away with a 16-point win. Trae Young and Dejounte Murray combined for 50 points as the Lakers played without Anthony Davis. Austin Reaves led LA with 28 points while LeBron had 20. Once again under .500, things don’t get easier for the Lakers as they travel to Boston to face the league-best Celtics.
Last weekend was dominated by news of Minaj’s beef with Megan, culminating in her release of “Big Foot”. However, the commercial release wasn’t the only thing to come out of Minaj’s camp. “Good Day, #GagCity. LuvU,” Minaj wrote. However, she then took issue with Pop Base reporting the post as being about Megan. “Never said that ugly name. Stop lying on me. You want engagement so bad. Ima put your REAL name in the 2nd song just for shits & giggles. Go to bed ,” Minaj followed up.

Finesse2Tymes is someone who has been very transparent about his lifestyle. Overall, he is currently in a polyamorous relationship. Just a few months ago, he celebrated as two of his girlfriends got pregnant.
