His Instagram profile lately has been relatively quiet, though he did end 2023 with a wholesome picture posing with pops. Aside from that, Hanks is also working on music again, covering an R&B classic from Atlanta’s own Summer Walker on Tuesday (January 23).
“Little Summer in the winter, ‘Session 32,’” the entertainer wrote in his caption. He made the song his own by plucking on his guitar while singing. The pink sunset behind him helped set the smooth vibe he was obviously going for. In the comments, friends and fans are encouraging him to keep experimenting with his sound. “I thought this was Frank Ocean,” one user joked. “[I know] Chet’s a real bass player ‘cuz when tf was the last time he changed them strings ,” another person laughed.
Expression through singing seems to be helping Hanks tremendously at this stage in his healing journey. “Woke up and wrote my first song,” he told his IG followers in a post in early December. “I was not expecting Chet Hanks to have such a beautiful voice,” one comment on that upload reads.

Torrei Hart says she means “no shade” to Kevin Hart by embarking on a comedy tour with Katt Williams. Kevin and Williams have been feuding since the latter’s viral appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. She discussed the beef and her upcoming tour during a chat with TMZ published on Wednesday.
“Why wouldn’t he? I mean, I’m funny as f*ck,” she joked when asked why Katt chose her. “That’s my boy. We’ve known each other for years and it’s only right. I’ve opened up for Katt before. He’s given me plenty of opportunities. We’ve shot a movie together. We’re just close. We’re so close Katt has watched my dog before, like we’re friends. We’ve known each other for 20 years. This isn’t something that just happened.” As for Williams’ feud with Kevin, she added: “I have no shade at all to Kevin. Even the stuff that’s going on between him and Katt, that’s not my beef. That is not my beef. I have beef with no one.”

The drama began when Williams accused Kevin of being an industry plant while speaking with Sharpe. “In 15 years in Hollywood, no one in Hollywood has a memory of going to a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club,” Williams said. Later in the interview, he added: “For a five-year period, every single movie that Kevin Hart did was a movie that had been on my desk that all I had said was just, ‘Can we take some of this Stepin Fetchit sh*t out and then I can do it.” Kevin eventually responded on Twitter, writing: “Gotta get that anger up outcha champ….It’s honestly sad.”

John Boyega is one of Hollywood’s most popular young Black actors and is set to star in a series that serves as a prequel to the 2010 movie The Book of Eli. Following in Denzel Washington’s footsteps may seem like an impossible task but Boyega’s resume is stacked. Many were introduced to him in Attack The Block, a UK-based film from 2011 that blended several genres. Other audiences met him in the latest Star Wars trilogy, where he played one of the franchise’s new protagonists, Finn. In 2022, he appeared alongside Viola Davis in The Woman King, with many people complimenting his character’s regal aura whenever he was on screen. However, Boyega’s most recent lead role in 2023’s They Cloned Tyrone may be his best yet since he portrayed three characters in that movie.
Boyega’s role in The Book of Eli is not the first time he has acted in a television series. His first TV role was on 24 in 2001. Further, he also appeared in 24: Live Another Day, which was a miniseries set in London. Boyega continued to act in other TV series and movies as the years passed. His experience in that world guarantees he’ll be able to handle the pace of a series like The Book of Eli. Moreover, his background in film only adds to his credibility as an actor with range.
Only A Few Details About The Series Are Available
The John Boyega-led The Book of Eli prequel series is still in early development. At this point, there is no release date or even a trailer. In fact, Boyega is the only known cast member at this time. However, notable names from the original movie on the crew side have been shared. The Hughes Brothers will be returning to direct the series. The film’s original writer, Gary Whitta, will also be returning. The series is set 30 years before the film, featuring Boyega as Denzel’s Eli character. The film’s biggest reveal was that Eli had been blind the whole time but no details have been shared about if the character will also be blind in the prequel series.

In the current entertainment landscape, many shows and movies are sequels, reboots, or reimaginings of pre-existing properties. Often, these franchises have large and opinionated fanbases. The Book of Eli was a box-office success but did not take the world by storm. Its fanbase consists of supporters of Denzel Washington as well as those who like post-apocalyptic action movies.
John Boyega has played his fair share of characters that were part of science fiction and other related niches, so from that standpoint, he is certainly familiar with the series’ themes. Following the end of her controversial conservatorship, Britney Spears re-entered the public eye in a way she hadn’t been in years. She often shares posts to her Instagram but fans have repeatedly questioned the authenticity of some of the claims she’s made on the platform. There are also reportedly very few people in her inner circle according to reports published last year.
Now, a new report has emerged making the claim that Britney Spears was banned from a hotel. The place in question is a Four Seasons hotel in Los Angeles. According to Hollywood Unlocked, she was banned from the hotel “due to complaints about her ‘bizarre behavior’ and instances of stripping off by the pool.” Spears reportedly stays at the hotel often and the staff have allegedly been frustrated by some of her antics. While it’s just reports right now, there’s reason to believe they could be true. Isaiah Rashad is one of the more celebrated/underrated rappers from the last 15 years or so. The Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) signee has been dropping wavy, low-key bangers since 2014 and has worked with some of the premier talents. He does not drop too often, sadly. Rashad’s last full release came all the way back in 2021 with The House Is Burning. Only his third project, the Chattanooga native recruited heavy hitters Lil Uzi Vert, Duke Deuce, Smino, Jay Rock, and more.
While it is a big album and a solid release, his first might be his best. That would be Cilvia Demo put out in 2014. Rashad dropped the project nearly 10 years ago to the day, January 28. To commemorate this amazing achievement streaming giant Spotify collaborated with him to revive his classic. The reason they wanted to do this is because of the DSP’s new series.

It’s been an eventful few weeks for Rick Ross’ ex Tia Kemp, but fortunately, it doesn’t look like she’s let that get her down. Kemp, who shares one child with the performer, recently took aim at him and his current girlfriend, Cristina Mackey. This prompted a response from his new boo, who called her out for allegedly making “fake accounts” to hate on her. Kemp fired back with full force, calling Mackey a “hoe” and threatening to attack her. She even claimed to have information on a secret medical condition of Ross’, announcing that she’d ”send TMZ to his doctor” unless he paid her off.
Unsurprisingly, this resulted in Ross sending her a cease and desist, which stated that her claims were false and defamatory. In response, she again put him on blast, arguing that he was barking up the wrong tree. “Sue 50 Cent then,” she said. “Don’t beef with me. Told you I wasn’t a rapper years ago, now you wanna shut me up. You ain’t shut up DJ Envy. You won’t cease [and desist] DJ Envy when he was putting on that CO uniform.”
He later appeared to have some sympathy for his former lover, backhandedly detailing all that she’s going through. “Her mother, who’s a 30-year reoccurring crack addict, she’s back addicted, and Tia’s dealing with it,” he described. Ross then claimed that Kemp had “botched” plastic surgery, but will “get over it” eventually.
It seems as though despite all of this, Kemp is doing better than ever, recently hopping on live to jam out to some music. In a glamorous stride into the spotlight, Keith Powers and Ryan Destiny made their first joint appearance on the red carpet at the prestigious BET Awards in 2018. As cameras flashed and the world watched, the couple gave off such undeniable chemistry. As expected, the rumor mill was on autopilot as news of their attendance made headlines. While some fans believed the pair simply attended the event together as friends, others went into a frenzy.
