Troy Aikman Acknowledges “White JAY-Z” Meme

Thanks to ESPN’s Pablo Torres, we know if Troy Aikman knows about the “White Jay-Z” meme. Torres asked Aikman about the meme during a guest hosting slot on Pardon The Interruption. “Yes. It still comes up on my feed from time to time. With all this AI stuff, you don’t know what’s real and what’s been edited. But pretty scary,” Aikman told Torres. However, Aikman did not go as far as to call himself the “white JAY-Z”. However, his “pretty scary” comment can at least be taken as some proof that Aikman at least sees the basis of the meme.

For those who aren’t aware, a meme has circulated for many years that compares images of Aikman and Jay-Z, showing a remarkable similarity. This has led many users to dub Aikman the “White Jay-Z” and the images have been in circulation ever since. However, it’s not a meme that Aikman or Hov have acknowledged until now. Travis Kelce “Smitten” With Taylor Swift

Over in the other major NFL-music crossover, Travis Kelce is reportedly “completely smitten” with Swift and the pair “talks every day”. This week, Kelce liked several social media posts showing Swift’s enthusiastic reaction to various big moments during the Chiefs-Jets game she attended with the likes of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. It was the second consecutive Chiefs game Swift had attended.

Meanwhile, “Taylor’s really enjoying getting to know Travis. They’re taking it day by day, but she has high hopes. [She] likes [that Travis is] a normal, nice guy [who’s] down-to-earth, not affected by fame, and so hot. Taylor has decided she’s not going to hide anymore. She’s going to be her authentic self and enjoy life,” a source told Us Weekly.

Drake To Celebrate ‘For All The Dogs’ During New Episode Of ‘Table For One’

Drake will celebrate his upcoming album, For All The Dogs, hours before its worldwide release during a new episode of his SiriusXM series, Table For One. The new episode will air live on Drake’s Sound 42 channel this Thursday (October 5) at 9pm ET on SiriusXM.

For those who want to catch it again or can’t tune in live, the entire episode will be available to stream anytime on the SiriusXM app and web player after its debut and will replay on Sound 42 during the times below.

Initially scheduled to come out last summer, For All The Dogs marks Drake’s first full-length project since Her Loss (2022), his collaboration with 21 Savage. The rap legend shared he postponed the original release in order to finish his It’s All a Blue tour.

The long-awaited album is tied to Drake’s first poetry book, Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream of Consciousness, released last June. While he has yet to announce the For All The Dogs tracklist, he did reveal that longtime collaborator Nicki Minaj will appear on it and that his son, Adonis, created the album art.

Krayzie Bone is speaking out after spending nine days in the hospital in what he calls a fight for his life.

“Just fought for life Literally for 9 days straight,” Bone wrote. “And I only won the battle this time because I know Jehovah God was with every step of the way fighting for me.

“Never take life for granted enjoy it while you have it! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers trust me I needed every last one of them.”

Krayzie Bone needed surgeries to assist with internal bleeding. He was hospitalized in late September after he coughed up blood, revealing a bleeding artery.

Today we celebrate the 66th birthday of Hip Hop pioneer Russell Simmons!

Since the founding of Def Jam Recordings in 1983, Russell Simmons has been an instrumental part in the advancement of Hip Hop culture. Over his illustrious career Russell has launched the careers of multi-platinum artists (LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy to name a few), co-founded top-selling clothing lines Baby Phat and Phat Farm, created financial institutions with the Rush Card, and award-winning television shows Def Poetry Jam and Run’s House. It is nearly impossible to say what the state of rap music and Hip Hop culture would be today with the Russell Simmons influence.

Lately, Uncle Rush has even begun taking large strides outside of the entertainment and financial industries, becoming Hip Hop’s new-age spiritual guru. Since 2010, Simmons has released self-help books sharing his views on religion, spirituality, and even health. Through his Hindu and vegan lifestyles, Uncle Rush has assumed the role of mentor to a vast majority of today’s top recording artists.

Over the years, Hip Hop empires have risen to power and fallen from the mountaintop. Russell Simmons, however, has always been able to brave the tide and stand strong as one of the most impregnable forces of marketing and branding expertise. Since his first project, Run D.M.C., it has been obvious that no one truly understands Hip Hop the way that Russell Simmons does. His Midas touch continues to transform the culture into something new (and more profitable) with every idea he brings to fruition. He is truly a rap genius.

Police Detective Blames Suge Knight for 2Pac’s Murder Remaining an Open Case

Suge Knight has been making the media rounds after the arrest of Keefe D for his role in the murder of Tupac Shakur. According to lead detective Greg Kading, who investigated the murder of The Notorious B.I.G., Keefe D could have long been arrested but Knight wouldn’t assist.

“If there’s anybody in the world to blame for this taking 27 years to solve, it’s Suge Knight,” Kading told Rolling Stone. “He knew the moment it happened who did it.

“And all Suge had to do when Las Vegas asked him to come in and sit down for an interview, all he had to do was say, ‘They pulled up alongside, I looked right across the car, I saw Keefe D in the front seat.’ That’s all he had to say: ‘I saw Keefe D.’ That alone, that witness statement would’ve changed everything.”

Kading stated Knight operated under the belief that his representation was more valuable than 2Pac’s life.

Suge Knight says he will not take the stand against Duane “Keffe D” Davis after the latter was arrested and charged with the murder of Tupac Shakur.

According to TMZ, Knight stated he was surprised but would not testify.

“I’m not gonna get on the stand and testify on somebody,” Knight said. “For what? I wouldn’t go, I wouldn’t testify. None of that shit.”

The charges against Duane “Keffe D” Davis have officially been announced. He is charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon in the killing of Tupac Shakur.

“There’s been many people who did not believe that the murder of Tupac Shakur was important to this police department,” said Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill. “I am here to tell you that that was simply not the case.”

According to famed court reporter Meghan Cuniff, Davis’s role is “by directly committing this crime” or aiding and abetting by giving the gun used. Also named in the indictment are his nephew Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson and two other men. All of them are dead.

Ed Sheeran Once Got So Super High With Snoop Dogg That His Eyes Weren’t Working Right

Snoop Dogg is the sort of figure that even non-smokers would light up with, just to say they’ve smoked weed with Snoop. Ed Sheeran found himself in that situation earlier this year and he discussed it on a new episode of the Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend podcast.

Sheeran noted that he was introduced to Snoop through mutual friend Russell Crowe and that the two met backstage after a Sheeran performance in Melbourne, Australia. Sheeran continued (as NME notes), “I don’t really smoke at all, but I was in the dressing room and they were just like blunt for blunt for blunt for blunt. I was like, ‘I guess at some point during the night, I have to, just to say I smoked with Snoop Dogg.’ He was like, ‘Do you want some?’ So I have a bit and I was like, ‘I don’t feel too bad, this is good.’ Then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more. I just remember looking at him and being like, ‘I can’t see right now.’”

Snoop actually shared a brief video of the encounter on Instagram back in March:

Boosie Badazz “Flexes” His Ankle Monitor At The BET Hip-Hop Awards: Watch

Boosie Badazz might be one of the goofiest personalities in the hip-hop community. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native has been a character ever since he came into the rap game back in the beginning of the 2000s. He is mostly known for his crazy and unfiltered takes on a lot of things going on. It does not even need to consist of music either. However, there are also times like when he reached out to Vice President Kamala Harris over Twitter. Boosie, like Quavo, wanted to have serious talks about gun violence and how to find ways to put a stop to it.

This might have been a realization for the rapper, especially, after his recent arrest earlier this year. It occurred in Sand Diego, California and he was charged with a felon in possession of a firearm, concealed carry weapon in a vehicle, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and unlisted owner of a registered firearm. He was eventually a free man after some bonds, though.

This leads us up to yesterday when DJ Akademiks found some unique footage surrounding Boosie. The recording for the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards took place on October 3 and they are set to go live on October 10. Boosie made an appearance after getting tickets from BET. During the photoshoots Boosie “flexes” his ankle monitor. He is acting like you would expect from the rapper. However, quite a few fans were blasting him on the IG post from Akademiks. “N**** celebrating being government property.” Another says, “Mans is almost 50 REALLY thinking this s*** is cool.”

IShowSpeed Elephant Toothpaste Experiment Results In Firefighters Being Called To Streamer’s House

IShowSpeed scared his viewers in a livestream this week. The controversial streamer chose to conduct the “elephant’s toothpaste” experiment in his home. The common science experiment, which involves mixing several chemicals together to create a rapidly expanding, thick, foamy substance, is not typically done indoors. This is due to the amount of heat and fumes the mixture can give off. However, Speed did it anyway and fans grew increasingly concerned as thick smoke filled the streamer’s bedroom.

While some outlets have reported that Speed was hospitalized due to the incident, this does not appear to be the case. Slipz, Speed’s cameraman, later confirmed to the audience that Speed was receiving oxygen from firefighters who had arrived at his house. “He was in here too long bro, he’s like struggling to breathe,” said his cameraman. “We’ve got fucking firefighters and shit outside trying to help him. I don’t know what’s happening.” However later, Speed’s own account wrote “Speed is currently with the firefighters, they’re giving him oxygen so he can breathe, he should be fine guys” in his chat.

However, this isn’t the first time that Speed has been attended to by the fire department. Perhaps Speed’s most famous moment, or at least his first mainstream viral moment, was the stream in which he ignited multiple fireworks in his bedroom. The fireworks quickly went out of control, causing several small fires to spring up in the streamer’s room. Firefighters were called to his home and it was reported that the house was very close to burning down.

But speaking of houses, Speed was recently revealed to be working on a new project with Kai Cenat. On September 12, Cenat announced that he would be teaming up with Speed to launch their own content house. However, unlike traditional content houses, where the creators live together, that won’t be the case for this new project. “Shoutout to the CEO of Rumble. Whenever I am in Miami they got us a new house that we could just go by. Me and Speed. No, we are not going to be living in there, we are not going to be moving in and shit like that. It’s just for us, our shit. That’s probably the best news I had in the past week,” Cenat said while streaming.
