Amar’e Stoudemire Battery Charges Against Daughter Dismissed

amare

Back in December, social media was shocked when Amar’e Stoudemire’s mugshot was posted following his arrest. The retired NBA player was arrested for allegedly slapping and punching his teen daughter following her graduation from the University of Miami.

Apparently the charges have been dropped…

CBS News reports:

The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office on Tuesday confirmed to CBS Miami that misdemeanor battery charges have been dropped against Amar’e Stoudemire, the former NBA star who had been accused of punching and slapping one of his teen daughters last month.

In an emailed statement, the state attorney’s office said “the case was dropped due to the failure of the victim to cooperate in the prosecution of the criminal case.”

He also released a statement following his arrest.

“Over the last 24 hours, an incident at my family home led to my being charged with assaulting my daughter. It is an allegation based on a report that does not square with the facts. I am of the Jewish faith, today Jewish people all over the world celebrate Hanukkah and hear the story of how we fought wickedness. I believe that ‘whatever is hateful to you, do not do to others.’ As the investigation unfolds, the facts will show the allegations to be groundless as my daughter’s medical condition is not the result of being assaulted by a father who is nearly 7 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds. I could never see myself assaulting any person, especially my children. I respect, protect, and love my family, particularly my children. As a father, I ask for your grace as we secure our space and privacy.”

How To Buy Tickets For Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ Tour

Well, it’s finally happening. After Beyoncé’s private concert in Dubai and after her father Mathew Knowles said his daughter (not Solange) was planning a tour behind Renaissance, the tour is officially happening. Beyoncé made the official announcement this morning (February 1) and shortly before that, Citi listed a “Citi Verified Fan Presale” page for “Beyoncé RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR,” which features shows between July and September in a number of North American cities.

So, how does one get tickets?

One way to get tickets is via the Citi Verified Fan Presale. To attempt to secure a ticket, buyers must first register for the pre-sale. Some registrants will then receive an access code the night before the presale goes live, which will grant access to shop for tickets. Then, they’ll be able to buy tickets with a valid Citi credit card of Citibank debit card.

Otherwise, links to register to get tickets for specific tour dates are available on Beyoncé’s website.

The trek starts in May with some European and UK dates before heading to North America in July. That part of the tour kicks off in Toronto and will later wrap up in New Orleans.

Find the list of tour dates here.

Tom Brady Delivers Emotional Retirement Message

Tom Brady has enjoyed one of the most historic careers in the history of the NFL. Throughout his 23-year career, he has won seven Super Bowls and has played in 10 of them. Additionally, he has the record for most yards and touchdowns, which makes him the GOAT.

Following his loss to the Cowboys a few weeks ago, Brady had a big decision to make regarding retirement. Interestingly enough, many felt as though he would return. Consequently, this led to speculation of where he would go, with the Las Vegas Raiders becoming a frontrunner.

Tom Brady Retires

Today, Brady revealed that he was actually just going to retire. Last year, he told everyone that he would be leaving the game. However, just a few months later, he decided to come right back out of retirement. Although this time around, Brady is confident that he is done for good.

“I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first,” Brady said. “I won’t be longwinded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me.”

This is certainly going to be some unfortunate news for all of his fans. Furthermore, this is a huge blow to the Raiders who were excited about him potentially joining the squad.

Brady enjoyed a historic career with plenty of amazing moments. Let us know your favorite Brady moments, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the football world.

Eddie Murphy Says He’s Down For A ‘Donkey’ Spin-Off Movie: ‘I’d Do It In Two Seconds’

ar

With Puss In Boots getting 3 of his own spinoff movies and a Nickelodeon TV show, Eddie Murphy is wondering why Shrek creators didn’t give Donkey the same love. In a recent interview, the comedy legend said that he’d agree to do another Shrek movie and even a Donkey spin-off “in two seconds.”

“I’d absolutely be open if they ever came with another Shrek, I’d do it in two seconds. I love Donkey,” Murphy shared with ETalk. “You know, they did Puss In Boots movies. I was like, ‘They should have did a Donkey movie. Donkey is funnier than Puss in Boots. I mean, I love Puss in Boots, but he ain’t as funny as the Donkey.”

“I would do a Donkey movie. I would do another Shrek in two seconds.”

The interviewer then told Murphy that he should pull some strings to get a Donkey movie done. Murphy said that decision is all up to Dreamworks.

“That’s Dreamworks Animation,” he said. “They have to want to do it. Dreamworks, if you all want to do it, just call me. I’m ready, I’m sitting and ready to do Donkey.”

Murphy is fresh off the release of You People, which co-stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Nia Long, Jonah Hilla and Lauren London. Murphy was also recently awarded the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 2023 Golden Globes. In his acceptance speech, he shared the three things that will guarantee you success in Hollywood: 1. paying your taxes, 2. minding your business, 3. keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out your f*****g mouth.

Consequence Says That Kanye Thought His Career Was Over After Taylor Swift VMA’s Incident

Kanye West and Taylor Swift feud

Kanye’s Taylor Swift VMA’s incident is one of the most talked about and infamous moments in hip-hop history. The incident even caught the attention of former President Barack Obama who called Ye a “jackass” for getting on stage and saying Beyoncé should have won. The backlash Kanye got from the incident was overwhelming, causing Ye to go into isolation for over a year while he crafted what he called his “apology” album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. While most people look back and laugh, and even agree with Ye, at the time, it looked like Ye’s career might’ve never recovered. According to Consequence, Ye even thought his career was over after the incident.

In an interview with HipHopDX, Consequence shared some insight into Kanye’s mindset after the incident, and thought that his actions cost him his career after “Power” failed to garner the same attention as other singles like “Gold Digger,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” and “Stronger.”

“To be 100 percent honest, ‘Power’ is ‘Power’ now, but that was the first record off that cycle and ‘Power’ was kinda the first time it didn’t go all the way,” Cons said. “It didn’t do what ‘Gold Digger’ did, it didn’t do what ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’ did, and it didn’t do what ‘Stronger’ did.

“So it was kinda like, ‘What we gonna do?’ We ain’t got no out-the-gates smash. We got a single and they playing it, but it wasn’t that one. That’s how G.O.O.D. Fridays come about.”

He added that this situation made Kanye change his rollout strategy, and ended up creating G.O.O.D. Fridays, where he would release a new song every Friday until MBDTF released.

“It doesn’t eradicate the Taylor Swift incident. It’s not big enough to K.O. that. Brands ain’t gonna forget that, touring ain’t gonna forget that, so forth and so on. So which put Kanye in a corner, and he came out flying with G.O.O.D. Fridays.”
