Lil Baby Recounts A Toxic Relationship In His ‘Forever’ Video With Fridayy

Lil Baby is going harder than ever in the wake of his undisputed star run over the past couple of years. Picking up where he left off last year with his third studio album It’s Only Me, the Atlanta native dropped the video for the album’s standout track “Forever” with Fridayy today.

The video, shot on location in the tropics, finds Baby recounting a toxic relationship with a woman he only manages to see sporadically thanks to his jet-setting lifestyle. “You be on some toxic shit but I cannot get off this bitch,” he worries. While he wonders if the couple should keep going or call it quits, Fridayy’s crooned chorus illustrates the issue in plain terms: “I know you miss me,” he sings. “Who it’s gon’ be if it ain’t me, lil’ baby?”

Upon its release in October, It’s Only Me became Lil Baby’s third No. 1 album, receiving favorable reviews for Baby’s polished technique, although some reviews were critical of its formulaic nature. Baby performed “Forever” on Saturday Night Live earlier this year, continuing his momentum and showing that he intends to continue supporting his latest album, even four months later.

Carl Crawford Vows To Stop Discussing Megan Thee Stallion On Social Media

In late December, Megan Thee Stallion saw a jury convict Tory Lanez on three felony counts stemming from her allegation that Lanez shot her in the foot in 2020. Lanez was found guilty of assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence (as noted by The New York Times).

Lanez is appealing the ruling and preparing for his sentencing tomorrow, February 28, but Meg has another complicated legal matter still up in the air.

Also dating back to 2020, when the Houston rapper claimed 1501 was preventing her from releasing new music, Meg has sued her record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. Throughout the ongoing battle, Meg exchanged barbs online with 1501 CEO Carl Crawford. Today, February 27, Crawford commented to TMZ.

“Unfortunately, me and Megan, we haven’t talked since 2019, so we’ve been going through I guess what you guys see online, and like I said, it’s unfortunate as well because I never wanted to have a situation where I was going back and forth with her on the internet,” he said.

Crawford later added, “I never had any problems with Megan Thee Stallion. It’s just the social media stuff. It really just turned really, really sour. You take this social media part out of it, [and] we don’t have a problem. So, yeah, this is the moment for me to — I’m done with that. You won’t hear me mention Megan Thee Stallion’s name in the media unless I’m doing something like this or it’s just a big-time interview [and] I gotta say it. But you won’t see me texting or making a post or doing any of that stuff that would cause social media to go crazy.”

In late December, a Texas judge denied 1501’s request to not count Meg’s 2021 project Something For Thee Hotties as an album toward her obligations to her record deal, allowing her lawsuit to continue to a formal trial.

Megan Thee Stallion had filed in February 2022, requesting that Something For Thee Hotties be deemed an album to effectively release her from her contract with 1501. After releasing Traumazine last August, she amended her suit to specify that Traumazine could also be counted as her fourth and final record for 1501, additionally suing for $1 million in damages.

Latto Calls Out Adam22 For Posting Video Of Her On Omegle: “Corny… Adam U A Hoe”

For Latto lately, the drama never ends. We’re only two months into 2023, but already the Ohio-born artist is caught up in various internet spats. From facing backlash for working with embattled producer Dr. Luke on her first single of the year to now, being exposed for using Omegle by Adam22, social media is obviously becoming a source of stress for her. Thankfully, Latto has seriously thick skin to carry her through her troubles.

Over the weekend, the No Jumper creator reposted a TikTok showing the 777 artist using the controversial site. Rather than getting up to adult antics on Omegle, she and a friend were chatting with a man from India. In the clip, Latto asks their online friend, who obviously doesn’t recognize his famous face, if he has an Instagram account.

Latto Dubs Adam22 a “Hoe”

After spelling out her username for him, the man realizes that he’s talking to a celebrity. “Are you kidding me?!” he asks near the end of the TikTok, earning laughs from Latto, her friend, and countless viewers. The post has been rapidly circulating on social media, and even caught Adam22’s attention. “#Latto was on #Omegle and landed with someone who didn’t even know who she was [crying laughing emoji].”

Clearly, the 24-year-old had time on Sunday (February 26), as she went off on the media personality. “Corny. I interrupted my friend’s conversation w this man from India, talked about how I can’t wait to visit & said let’s follow each other… Tf is funny?” Latto began. “I never expected him to know who I am… Or anyone for that matter. Adam u a hoe & wouldn’t try a male rapper like this.” Ever the troll, Adam ignored the rap diva’s comments and instead shared a photo of the giant Poptart he made with the help of his girlfriend.

Other Recent Internet Beef

Earlier this past weekend, the “Wheelie” hitmaker was called out after telling Billboard that she’s a “girl’s girl” who doesn’t charge up-and-coming female stars for guest features. She obviously has a healthy roster of collaborators to substantiate these claims. However, Kodak Black’s artist VVSNCE made it known that Latto wasn’t so kind about working with her.

As you may recall, the Atlanta-based baddie dropped her debut album last year. Afterward, it was revealed that one of the men who appeared on her tracklist gave her a hard time over not replying to his DM. Many assumed that Yak was the culprit, but his artist says it was Latto’s refusal to do an exchange collaboration with her that caused their relationship to sour. Read everything VVSNCE had to say here, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

Latto Denies Dating 21 Savage, Again

Latto’s a hot topic these days, especially when it comes to her dating life. Despite being one of the leading ladies in the rap game right now, she’s managed to keep some aspects of her life private. However, those same aspects also became subject to internet theories and speculation. Over the past few years, she convinced fans that she and 21 Savage are an item. Both have them have denied this to be true but fans think that it’s largely an attempt to keep their private matters out of the public eye.

The 777 rapper previously explained why she keeps her relationship status under wraps. Considering that she often faces criticism for just about anything, she explained that she wants to protect her relationship from unwanted criticism and opinions. “This is gonna sound so cliche, but it’s the truth. Everything about my life is to be picked apart by social media,” Latto said. “I gotta hear everybody’s two cents and opinions on something that don’t got nothing to do with them,” she concluded.

Latto Shuts Down Dating Rumors, Again

It appears that Latto can’t escape the questions surrounding 21 Savage. This weekend, she hit TikTok to flex her cooking skills for “Soul Food Sunday.” “It’s Soul Food Sunday so I woke up and cooked my man some food because that’s what wives do, period. Catch up, hoe,” she said in the audio. Latto whipped up collard greens with turkey, Mac and cheese, and some fried chicken – an elaborate meal that any man would be lucky to have on a Sunday night.

It didn’t take long for fans to speculate who she was cooking for and one fan directly asked whether she’s with 21 Savage. “No, I’ve said I’m not plenty times,” she said. However, fans still didn’t believe her claims. After all, she appears to have 21’s government name tattooed behind her ear. Earlier this year, 21 Lil Harold fanned the flames after referring to the two as a “cute couple.” Still, neither has coughed up to being an item. Check out Latto’s comments above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Drake Says Lil Wayne Thought His Email Address Was His Rap Name

If you’re a talented and respected enough MC, you can get way with having any rap name. However, few people (if any) have pulled off having an “@” symbol in there, but even the best rappers might respect it. Drake recently revealed that Lil Wayne originally thought his email address was his rap name, seeing as that was their only form of communication. Moreover, on their 2008 collaboration “Ransom,” the New Orleans legend referred to his Canadian protegé as “Drizzy Drake Rogers.” In fact, Rogers is the name of one of Canada’s top Internet providers, and Wayne thought that was Drizzy’s last name.

“And I just sold a lot of property to a buyer,” the “A Milli” spitter raps on the track. “And I think his name was kinda like “Drake Drizzy Rogers.” Furthermore, Drake revealed to Lil Yachty during their recent interview that he couldn’t bring himself to correct his idol at the time. After all, they just sent each other songs via email and they had no other form of communication at the time. Of course, Wayne’s mistake didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. They went on to produce more iconic collaborations and keep propelling each other’s careers.

Drake Speaks On Lil Wayne Repping His Email

For example, their mutual respect and inspiration is well-documented based on their own expressions. “It was easy for me,” Tunechi said of supporting Drake from the beginning. “It was obvious. I saw what he could be and would be. It was easy for me to keep motivating him and letting him know what it is. You have to see it to believe it. It was very simple. Doing a song with me. It was just that simple. Him knowing ‘I can go blow for blow with you on a joint’ — that was his motivation. That’s his chip.”

Meanwhile, the 6 God had some kind words for his mentor when he presented him with the Global Impact Award at a Recording Academy ceremony. “Lil Wayne…I love you so much,” he expressed. “I know I probably get annoying with saying how much you mean to me and my family, but I think I speak on behalf of everybody when I say that our careers, our cadences, our melodies, maybe our face tats or our outfits or our decisions in general would not have been the same without your natural gift to just be yourself.” Regardless of the name confusion, come back to HNHH for the latest on Lil Wayne and Drake.

Kid Cudi Teases His Next Album: “Ur Not Prepared”

Kid Cudi says that his next album will be released later in the year and be preceded by several singles over the summer. He teased his plans for the rest of 2023 in a pair of tweets posted on Monday. Cudi also confirmed that he intends to embark on a world tour to promote the new songs. The comments come after he recently hinted at retiring from music after his next project.

“Album this Fall. First singles this summer. The new chapter has begun,” Cudi wrote. “Ur not prepared man. We’ve reached a new level.” In another tweet, he replied to a fan: “World tour next year. Count on it.”

Kid Cudi On His Next Album

The announcement comes months after Cudi recently discussed his desire to retire with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. At the time, Cudi had recently released his eighth studio album, Entergalactic. “The Kid Cudi stuff, I think I want to put it on the back burner and chill out with that. I think, I want to be done with it. I think, closing the chapter on Kid Cudi,” he admitted. “I’ve said a lot and I have other desires, I have other things I want to do. And I do not see me never making music. I’ll always fuck around in the studio, or make something here and there. But, as far as getting in the studio and working on an album, and then going and touring it, I just don’t have it in me.”

As for what Cudi said he’d be interested in doing, he explained: “I really want to spend more time with my daughter. You know what I’m saying? We’ve been kicking it a lot lately and I’ve been having more time and it’s good. She’s growing up, our relationship is super tight. It’s what I always dreamed of.” A few months later, in November, Cudi confirmed that he’d make one more album to get out of his current deal with Republic Records. From there, Cudi says that he’s not sure what fans can expect from his career afterward.
