6LACK Announces Long-Awaited Third Album, “S.I.H.A.L.”

6LACK just unorthodoxly announced his next album, presumably titled S.I.H.A.L., set for release in March of this year. Moreover, it’s been a long time since he’s dropped a full-length, which he seemed to acknowledge. While he didn’t completely disappear from releases, he took some creative moves to promote his return. For example, he took the Kendrick route of including a Dropbox-like folder on his Instagram with his third album, albeit password-protected. Overall, it seems like the Atlanta-based artist is prepping fans for a big return.

Also, he engaged in another creative promotional campaign on Valentine’s Day just a few days ago. In fact, he enlisted the help of Atlanta’s Water Boyz and turned them to the Flower Boyz (no diss to Tyler). Moreover, they went around the city and handed out roses to people on the streets or going about their day. With the rose, they delivered a note that read, “See you soon, Love 6LACK.” Actually, it’s quite wholesome and entertaining to see people’s reactions, as some know who he is while others are confused. In addition to his vague promotion on his website (and his label website indicating the March release date), it seems much more personal than the typical rollout.

6LACK Teases New Album In Atlanta

Furthermore, not much else is known about the album apart from those details. Moreover, the album title S.I.H.A.L. comes from promotional material of the Valentine’s Day flower giveaway on his Twitter page. However, it should be noted that other publications reported the album title to be S.I.H.L., so even the details we do know are a bit murky. Still, this will be 6LACK’s first album since 2018’s East Atlanta Love Letter. That project came out two years after his critically acclaimed debut, Free 6LACK.

Meta Announces Verified Subscription To Fight Against Frauds & Scams

Months after it was announced that Meta was laying off approximately 11,000 employees, Mark Zuckerberg is back with another controversial revelation. These days, social media platforms are doing all they can to keep your attention. Users are finding features being implemented and taken away each week. Now, it looks like Zuckerberg is taking notes from Elon Musk. He shared that Meta would be rolling out a new paid verification subscription service, which was met with mixed reactions.

For those that have been desiring a blue check mark next to their name, your time has come. According to multiple reports, Meta Verified will become available this week in Australia and New Zealand. Users will pay $11.99 per month, or $14.99 on iOS, and will also receive direct access to customer support.

Meta Hopes To Combat Imposter Accounts

A main objection to Meta is that connecting with anyone who works for the company is nearly impossible. Further, in the past, it would be celebrities who found themselves copied and duplicated by fraudsters looking to scam the unsuspecting. Daily, thousands of social media users fall victim to scams from people impersonating a celebrity. However, it isn’t just the famous who have fallen victim to these cons. Everyday people have also been hacked or their photos used un ruses.

“This new feature is about increasing authenticity and security across our services,” Zuckerberg also said about the new feature. In a press release, the company added: “To help up-and-coming creators grow their presence and build community faster, today Mark Zuckerberg announced that we’ll begin testing a new offering called Meta Verified, a subscription bundle on Instagram and Facebook that includes a verified badge that authenticates your account with government ID, proactive account protection, access to account support, and increased visibility and reach. We’re starting with a gradual test in Australia and New Zealand later this week to learn what’s most valuable, and we hope to bring Meta Verified to the rest of the world soon.”

Additionally, it seems that Meta will boost visibility for subscription creators in the comments sections and recommendations. They also claim that subscribers will have access to exclusive only content, but that has yet to be specified. Will you be signing up?

Latto’s Next Album Will Feature Collaborations With Two Stars, But You’ll Have To Guess Who They Are

Latto has unleashed a lot of fiery singles lately. From “Lottery” with Lu Kala to the provocative “Another Nasty Song,” which successfully got people talking. However, it looks like she’s got even more material coming. Although she only unveiled her last LP 777 in March of last year, she’s already talking about her next one.

On Twitter, a fan posted a list of artists they wanted Latto to work with on her next album. The list included a long list of music acts, including Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Summer Walker, Chris Brown, Don Toliver, SZA, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Kim Petras, and Doja Cat. Latto quote-tweeted, saying that “1 of these already done.” Then, she added, “Wait, I read the list again… *2.”

Fans are frantically guessing on social media. Many are expressing hope that it’s not Chris Brown, who has a song called “How Does It Feel” arriving with Chlöe soon, which upset many of her fans due to his alleged history of harassment, assault, and more.

In November, Latto dealt with 130 of her songs being leaked. While this would’ve easily devastated any other artist, she proved to be unbothered, posting a spicy TikTok of her twerking in a hot tub with the caption, “POV: Dancing to ur leaked music for ur man.”

So far, Latto hasn’t shared any further information about the forthcoming project.

Film Icon Richard Gere Recovering From Pneumonia

Following a recent health scare, Richard Gere’s wife is offering an update. The actor doesn’t make many headlines these days, but his fans swarmed the internet when it was learned he was recently hospitalized. According to TMZ, the entertainment icon was on vacation with his wife, Alejandra Silva, and their two small children when his bad cough worsened. Things became so bad Gere decided to check himself into a local hospital.

It was there that he was diagnosed with pneumonia. The outlet further stated that Gere stayed in a facility overnight as his illness was treated. The actor was reportedly released the following day but was prescribed antibiotics. His wife shared a new photo to Instagram with a caption suggesting Gere was in a better place than days ago.

In her photo, Silva only shows herself with her two small children as they walk across the shores of a beach The family was reportedly celebrating Silva’s 40th birthday, and it seemed everyone was ill at some point or another. “Thank you all for the birthday wishes,” she wrote in the caption. “After almost 3 weeks of everyone being sick in our family, today finally I feel much better! Thank you for all the love ❤ I give it all back to you! 💫 #happybirthday #happy40.”

Gere and Silva privately married in early 2018. Their friends told news outlets that Gere was excited about “this half of his life” because “he is settled, confident, and doing what he likes.” The couple welcomed their first son together in 2019, and the second arrived in 2020. In the earlier days of his career, Gere was promoted to be a playboy of sorts; the actor was linked to several women in the industry. They include the likes of Priscilla Presley, Kim Basinger, Diane von Fürstenberg, and Barbara Streisand.

Although his wife has offered a positive update, Gere nor his reps have issued any formal statement. His diagnosis concerned fans because of the unpredictability that pneumonia brings; some recover quickly while others succumb to the illness. Latto just teased two mystery, but fan-favorite collaborations on her next album. Moreover, the revelation came after people started to speculate on who’d appear on the 777 star’s next project. After her single “Lottery” dropped last week to much acclaim, fans are already thinking about what’ll be next for her. Furthermore, one fan specifically had a wishlist of potential features. “10 Collabs I want for Latto’s next album,” they wrote before listing them out. They suggested Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Summer Walker, Chris Brown, Don Toliver, SZA, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Kim Petras, and Doja Cat.

Then, the Columbus rapper quote-tweeted the fan’s suggestions with some exciting news. “1 of these already done,” she shared, before reading the list over again and making the good news even better. “Wait, I read the list again… *2,” she added. Soon after, fans made their guesses and tried to decipher the new guests. However, it’s unclear if she meant that they were already done for her next album or in general. If it’s in general, we know that she worked with Chris Brown, Meg, and Doja Cat to some capacity.

Latto Teases New Collaborations

Of course, many fans prayed and hoped that Brown wasn’t the collab that Latto was talking about. Moreover, a recent announcement of his collab with Chlöe caused many to bring up his history of abuse again. However, given they worked together already, that ship sailed a while ago for these hopefuls. Still, it’s quite the eclectic list with a lot of potential. After all, Latto already remixed SZA’s “Smoking on my Ex Pack,” so there aren’t many degrees of separation there.

Meanwhile, Petras recently won a Grammy for her collaboration with Sam Smith, “Unholy.” Even though the “Big Energy” MC is pretty firmly in a rap lane, hearing her cross over into more hyper pop-inspired sounds would be insane. Regardless, Latto recently fell victim to a 130-song leak, which she handled with grace. While we don’t know how this will affect her next album, at least we know there’s some guaranteed heat on the way. Uncle Murda Responds To Trick Daddy Calling Him A “Clown,” 50 Cent Chimes In

In social media beefs you didn’t expect to see, things are getting tense between Trick Daddy and Uncle Murda. There wasn’t much rumbling from these two until Trick took to his cooking show to let off some steam. “And I’mma tell y’all somethin’ right now,” the music veteran said. “Viral is something that you do accidentally. Anybody that tries to go viral, you are considered, to me, as a clown. You’re a joke, you’re a fool, you’re a gimmick, you’re a fraud. You catfish. Viral is something that is supposed to happen accidentally unless you’re a content creator unless you’re an actor, unless you a clown that do magic tricks.”

Each year, Murda recaps what occurred with his “Rap Up” roundup. He targets just about anyone in entertainment, and Trick has found his name mentioned. In 2021, Murda called Trick a “cokehead” for negatively speaking about Beyoncé’s vocal talents. It’s obviously something that didn’t sit well.

He also called Murda “the No. 1 clown for the last five years.” He added, “You said my name, and I didn’t say nothing about it because I didn’t want this to be about me. It’s not about me. This is about everybody that feel like they don’t have the voice to say something to you. I’m gon’ say something to you and I stand on what I said.”

The remarks made their way to Murda’s desk, and he happily reposted the clip of Trick’s show. In the caption, he also added, “This sh*t got me rolling 😂😂 Dammmm all that my n*gga @trickdaddydollars mad at me cause I called him a coke head #RapUp2023Intro.” The comment section quickly lit up, and 50 Cent dropped by to say what many others were thinking.

Usher Announces 15 Additional Dates For Las Vegas Residency

Usher just announced 15 additional dates for his residency in Las Vegas, which will run from February to October this year. Moreover, the R&B star will perform a staggering 44 shows at the prestigious Park MGM, at Dolby Live. Furthermore, the My Way residency will give fans shows all throughout the year. Of course, Usher found incredible success in the past two years from his residency in Vegas, much like other artists such as Britney Spears and Mariah Carey. While he switched venues from Caesars Palace to the MGM, he’ll likely still grace fans with a fantastic spectacle.

“It’s that time again!” he wrote in the additional dates announcement via Twitter to his fans. “VEGAS, I’m back! By popular demand, I’ve added 15 NEW shows to my Vegas Residency through October 2023!“ Overall, Usher decided to capitalize on the momentum and make this even more of an event. It isn’t always that we get to meet artists that were the soundtracks to our youths, but Lupe Fiasco received an opportunity. The rapper has amassed a wealth of success of his own, but when he came face to face with Ja Rule, he couldn’t contain his excitement. It looks as if the two hitmakers were able to link backstage at a concert, and the encounter was shared on Instagram.

In the clip, Lupe was like a kid meeting his idol. “This all I need right here,” he told Ja. The Murder Inc rapper was all smiles. Then, Lupe addressed the camera directly. “Listen, I grew up on Ja Rule, you feel me? I don’t give a f*ck what no motherf*cka say. Ask me who’s my favorite rapper, who I was listening to when I was coming up. Even now!
