Rob Gronkowski To Retire From The NFL

Just a few years ago, Rob Gronkowski retired from the NFL. Gronk had simply had enough as his injuries were catching up to him. His body was always hurting him, and it became clear that he just wanted to enjoy retirement without harming his body any more than he already had.

Eventually, Gronk came back to the NFL so that he could play with Tom Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This led to Gronk winning his fourth Super Bowl title alongside his favorite quarterback.

After losing to the Rams this year, Gronk was forced into making a very tough decision. At the age of 33, he could either retire again or run it back. According to reporter Jordan Schulz, Gronk has chosen the former as he is officially retiring from the game.

While this is huge news, there are some people who believe Gronk could be back. For instance, his agent Drew Rosenhaus told Adam Schefter that if Brady comes calling, Gronk is going to have a very difficult time saying “no.”

“It would not surprise me if Tom Brady calls him during the season to come back and Rob answers the call,” Rosenhaus said. “This is just my opinion but I wouldn’t be surprised if Rob comes back during the season or next season.”

No matter what Gronk does, there is no denying that he is one of the best tight ends in the history of the game. You can read his statement on his retirement, down below.

Per Gronk:

“In college, I was asked to write about a dream job opportunity that I wanted to pursue and where the location would be. Every time I had to write about my future, no matter what, I picked being a professional football player. For that assignment though, we had to pick the location. So I wrote that I wanted to play in Tampa for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, for many reasons, the sunny weather being #1. I completely forgot about writing this report until 2 years ago when I had the opportunity to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And let me tell ya, the journey in Tampa over the last 2 years has blown away what I originally wrote about in college, big time. And for this, I want to thank the whole entire first class Buccaneers organization for an amazing ride, trusting me to come back to play and help build a championship team. I will now be going back into my retirement home, walking away from football again with my head held high knowing I gave it everything I had, good or bad, every time I stepped out on the field. The friendships and relationships I have made will last forever, and I appreciate every single one of my teammates and coaches for giving everything they had as well. From retirement, back to football and winning another championship and now back to chilling out, thank you to all. Buccaneers fans, the Krewe, without you guys, none of this is possible, all of ya brought it every game, thank you for all you do. Cheers to what’s next, maybe sailing the seas. Arghhhhhh!!”

Rico Nasty Announces “Las Ruinas” Album Dropping In July

The last time we received an album from Rico Nasty was back in December of 2020, when she made her presence felt with Nightmare Vacation – a 16-track album with features from Rubi Rose, Sukihana, ppcocaine, Don Toliver, Gucci Mane, Aminé, and Trippie Redd.

For her next drop-off, the 25-year-old is switching things up with a summer release, revealing that Las Ruinas (which appears to also have a 16-song-long tracklist) will be arriving on DSPs next month, on July 22nd.

“My new project Las Ruinas coming in JULY,” she tweeted on Monday (June 20) afternoon. “My most experimental and vulnerable body of work yet. Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this to life.”

The Washington, D.C. native shared the black and white cover art, which finds her gracefully posing as a sticky black substance drips down her hands. In another tweet, she shared more good news.

“July 22nd to be exact. And you can pre-order it. Show me [you] preordered for a follow back. I will be on Discord tomorrow talking about ‘Black Punk’ the music video, the [inspiration] behind it, etc.,” she said of her latest single. “I love all of you guys and thank you for waiting patiently.”

The pre-save names “Intrusive,” “Vaderz” featuring Bktherula, and her aforementioned recent arrival as songs that are sure to be included, and it’s likely that we’ll hear another single (or two) in the coming weeks.

In other news, Kehlani recently announced that they’ll be headed out on their Blue Water Road Trip tour in conjunction with Rico Nasty and Destin Conrad – check out the full list of dates here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more music news updates.

Delonte West has been through a lot since leaving the NBA about a decade ago. West has experienced mental health issues and there have been times when he experienced bouts of homelessness. Eventually, West was given a chance to go to rehab by Mark Cuban, who has taken a keen interest in West’s recovery.

Unfortunately, fans are fearing for the former NBA star again as he was recently seen on the side of the road in Virginia, asking for money. It had many worried about his well-being, although according to TMZ, West is adamant that he is fine.

Cosby faces claims from a woman who says the comedian molested her at the Playboy Mansion in the 1970s when she was a teenager. Judy Huth previously said the alleged incident happened in 1974, and Cosby’s team tried but failed to get the suit dismissed after she changed the timeline of her story. He denies all allegations.

Prosecutors say there won’t be criminal charges because the case is past the statute of limitations.

Stormzy Joins The Graduating Class Of The University Of Exeter With An Honorary Doctorate

Stormzy has accomplished a lot in a relatively short amount of time. In addition to rising to the forefront of the UK rap scene, winning Best Grime Act MOBO Awards in back-to-back years, earning the first UK Albums Chart No. 1 for a grime album in 2017 with his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer, winning British Album of the Year at the 2018 Brit Awards, and headlining Glastonbury in 2019, Stormzy has just reached an even rarer height, receiving an honorary doctorate from the University of Exeter recognizing his “outstanding achievements in the field of higher education philanthropy and widening participation”.

Stormzy has been an advocate for change in Great Britain since the beginning of his career, pushing against racial injustice and engaging in philanthropy and activism, funding the Stormzy Scholarship for Black UK Students at the University Of Cambridge.

At the ceremony where he was awarded his honorary doctorate and addressed the graduating class, Stormzy said:

“The journey I took to get to this moment has been considerably different to yours. You guys have the guts and the grit and the dedication that it takes to study for years and to finish your degree…whereas I got my AS results in my first year of college and said yeah, see you later. I didn’t have the same minerals that you guys have. A year later I took another swing at my A levels at a different college…until I sat down for my English exam in January and walked out after 10 minutes.

It took a hell of a lot for you to get here today. Your journeys to get to this moment were hard-fought. The road you took was not easy. And this is coming from someone who tried to walk that exact same road and failed. So from the bottom of my heart I say congratulations, well done and you should all be so proud of yourselves, what you have achieved is incredible. Don’t let anybody downplay it and don’t let anybody undermine it. If you are sat in this room today you are worthy and you are brilliant.”

You can watch Stormzy’s speech in the recorded ceremony above, at around 1:10:00.
