Floyd Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers to ever do it. He has never lost a single fight, and now that he is done with championship fights, it seems like he will stay that way for the rest of his life. Now, Mayweather has all the time in the world to train the next generation of fighters, and it seems like his grandson KJ is the priority right now.

Of course, KJ is the son of NBA Youngboy and Yaya Mayweather. Back in May, Floyd posted a video of KJ watching Floyd fight in the ring. Throughout the clip, KJ looked extremely interested in the sport, and it was making Floyd well up with pride.

“Grandson, I’m very thankful for your great Granddad teaching me the sweet science of boxing, to hit and not get hit,” Floyd wrote at the time. “I believe in working smarter, not harder. I retired from the sport undefeated with all my accolades and on my own terms. Even in retirement, I’m still able to milk the game of boxing, continuing to make 8 figures or more.”

Recently, Floyd continued to showcase his pride for KJ. The child has continued to display his interest in boxing, and in Floyd’s eyes, KJ could be the next great fighter. Taking to Instagram, Mayweather said “They say pictures say a thousand words, I guess this one says a million. The torch might have skipped a generation!”

It remains to be seen if KJ will eventually get into boxing, however, with Floyd’s guidance and Youngboy’s energy, there is no doubt that KJ has the makings of a future legend.

More sad news is coming out of the NFL this offseason as it has been reported by numerous outlets that Baltimore Ravens linebacker Jaylon Ferguson has died at the age of 26. At the time of this report, a cause of death has not been reported, however, a thorough investigation is currently underway.

Ferguson was a stud at Louisiana Tech who eventually got drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the draft back in 2019. In three years, Ferguson got to play 38 games and he was there for some of the most exciting stretches in Ravens football history.

Following the news of Ferguson’s passing, the Ravens issued a statement on Twitter, expressing their grief over the news. As you will see, Ferguson had a big impact on his teammates, and he will never be forgotten.

“We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson,” the Ravens wrote. “He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile and infectious personality. We express our heartfelt condolences to Jaylon’s family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon.”

Lil Tjay is undergoing emergency surgery after being shot in Edgewater, New Jersey, early Wednesday. The extent of his injuries remains unclear.

With details still emerging, TMZ reports that there were two shooting sites in the area, one at a Chipotle Restaurant and another at a nearby Exxon Gas station. At the Chipotle restaurant, a victim was shot several times while the victim at the Exxon was shot once.

Police are still looking for suspects and no motive has been determined.

Just 21 years old, Tjay was born in the Bronx borough of New York City in 2001. He began releasing music on SoundCloud at 16. He released his debut studio album, True 2 Myself, back in 2019. The project saw Tjay collaborate with Rileyy Lanez, Jay Critch, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and Lil Wayne. 

Last year, Tjay shared his second studio album, Destined 2 Win, which features his highest-charting song to date, “Calling My Phone,” a collaboration with 6lack. The track reached as high as number 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100. In addition to 6lack, the album included appearances from Polo G, Fivio Foreign, Saweetie, Tyga, Toosii, Offset, and Moneybagg Yo.

Lil Durk is coming for the summer. The Chicago rapper kicked the year off with the release of 7220, which has remained in steady rotation since its March release. He’s continued to tease a deluxe edition to the project in recent times without sharing a real release date.

This week, Durk confirmed that he’ll be sliding through with the deluxe edition of 7220 on Friday, June 24th. The announcement was initially made during a live performance before the rapper confirmed the date on Instagram. He also shared his new single, “Did Shit To Me” ft. Doodie Lo this morning. 

While Durk’s continued to hint at an expanded version of his latest project, he did drop 7220 (Reloaded) that included “Computer Murderers.” Durk has yet to reveal an official tracklist for the deluxe edition but he has previewed tons of new music in the last few weeks that fans suspected will land on the re-release.

Durk has a packed schedule this summer with many festival performances. However, he announced new tour dates earlier this month in support of the deluxe edition. Check the tour dates below.
