Bigg Unccc Pays Respects To Young Dolph On “Letter To Flippa”

It’s been a couple of months since the tragic loss of Memphis’ hometown hero Young Dolph, but for those closest to him, the wound is still incredibly fresh. Artists and peers, specifically Gucci Mane and Key Glock, have crafted tracks dedicated to their fallen associate and close friend. Glcok even got a chain memorializing the rapper he saw as a “big brother.” Fans around the world can still be cited speaking about the impact Dolph left, the music he made, and the interactions he shared with the community inside and outside of his place of origin.

Dolph had a massive role in people’s lives, with an exceptionally life-changing impact on the artists he was bringing up to follow in his footsteps. Paper Route Empire, Young Dolph’s budding music group, is full of rising stars and talents developing into something bigger than they know at this current juncture. Dolph found the growth of artists from his own area to be incredibly important, so he provided PRE with the essential groundwork and foundation for exponential growth and success.

One of these artists, Bigg Unccc, took time to speak on his own feelings about the tragic situation.

On the track “Letter To Flippa,” a cut from PRE’s tribute album Long Live Dolph, Bigg Unccc got candid and open about his emotions. He spoke in detail about the circumstances that lead to Dolph reaching out to him and how grateful he is for his presence. Like the majority of the tracks on Long Live Dolph, the story showcases how much Dolph meant to those around him and the lengths he would go to ensure their success.

But you had reached out and you came and saved a n***a,
You told me to rap and you told me “Be patient, n***a,
But I was tryna turn these n***as to patients,
But you didn’t wanna listen, now my heart is vacant

Famous Dex Taken To Jail After Violating Protective Order

Back in September, Famous Dex was taken away to prison where he was supposed to serve a one-year sentence for domestic violence. At the time, he was also hit with a protective order that stated he was not allowed to go near his ex-girlfriend. Just a few days after being sent to jail, Dex was actually released and was allowed to go home, where he would be under probation.

For the last four months, Dex seemed to be doing quite well for himself, although according to DJ Akademiks, things have suddenly taken a turn for worse. Simply put, the artist will be headed back to jail for a prolonged stay.

In the tweet below, Akademiks notes that Dex is now headed to the Los Angeles Country Jail, where he will have to spend the next six months of his life. Dex allegedly broke the protective order against his ex, and that is why he was put in custody. Moving forward, Dex will now have to wear an ankle monitor, and if he goes within 500 yards of his ex’s home, he will be placed in jail, yet again.

It remains to be seen how much of this sentence Dex will have to serve, so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates.

Kendrick Lamar Might Drop New Single Before Super Bowl: Report

Kendrick Lamar has remained lowkey in the past few years while fans demand a timeline for the follow-up to 2017’s DAMN. Rumors have floated around over the past two years regarding the project, though nothing has been confirmed aside from it being Kendrick’s final album on TDE. What we do know is that he’ll be making a rare public appearance next month as part of the all-star Super Bowl Halftime show-line up including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Eminem.

Apparently, there’s a chance we could be getting a new single from Kendrick Lamar ahead of his performance. According to Billboard, sources said a new single from Lamar may arrive either next Friday or the week after that. The TDE source reportedly also said SZA’s sophomore album is scheduled to drop in the second quarter of 2022.

“Both Kendrick Lamar and SZA have not released albums since 2017’s DAMN and Ctrl, respectively, though sources tell Billboard a Lamar single may arrive on Feb 4. or Feb. 11 before he plays the Super Bowl halftime show, while SZA’s sophomore effort is expected in the second quarter of the year.”

During Kendrick Lamar’s Day N Vegas set in November, he closed out his set by telling the crowd that he’ll be seeing them “very soon.” Fans quickly took that as a sign that he was preparing to kick off the campaign of his forthcoming album. While nothing came by the end of 2021, it seems like K. Dot could be revving up for his 2022 takeover.

Raveena Announces New Album, Teams Up With Vince Staples For “Secret”

Earlier this month, Raveena dropped off “Rush” after announcing that she had signed with Warner Records. Just two weeks later, she’s returned with a new single, called “Secret,” featuring Vince Staples, along with some other super exciting news.

On Friday, February 11th, fans will be receiving the R&B songstresses’ sophomore album, Asha’s Awakening. “The forthcoming concept album tells the riveting tale of a space princess from ancient Punjab who, through a fantastic journey across the centuries, learns about love and loss, healing and destruction,” a press release reveals.

“Asha’s Awakening cascades through various musical eras for inspiration, melding the genre-defying influences of Alice Coltrane and Asha Puthli from the 60s and 70s with those of Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and M.I.A from the early 2000s.”

Along with the Vince Staples, we’ll also see appearances from Grammy-nominated producer Rostam and legendary Indian singer-songwriter Asha Puthli.

Check out the music video for “Secret,” which finds Raveena adorned in traditional Indian jewelry as she dances and suspends with aerial silks in a golden room above, and leave a quick review below.

Andrew Wiggins Reacts With Jubilation To Becoming An All-Star Starter

Andrew Wiggins had a topsy turvy start to his career. He never really found his footing with the Minnesota Timberwolves and after being a first overall pick, there was this feeling that Wiggins was a complete and utter bust. Just a couple of seasons ago, Wiggins was traded to the Golden State Warriors, and since that time, he improved immensely. Steph Curry has helped turn him into a much better player, and as a result, Wiggins has become a bonafide All-Star roster contender.

Interestingly enough, thanks to the help of a K-Pop star, Wiggins was able to become a starter in this year’s All-Star Game. The starters are determined by fan votes, and Wiggins got enough ballots to become one of the starting 10 next month on February 20th.

When asked about becoming a starter, Wiggins told Mark Haynes of Clutch Points that he was not expecting it to happen. In fact, Wiggins was completely shocked when his girlfriend came in to give him the good news.

“It was mind-blowing. I was taking my little pregame nap, and then my girl and my daughter woke me up and said you’re a starter! you’re a starter! I thought I was dreaming for a second,” he explained.

It remains to be seen how Wiggins will play in the game, although for him, becoming an All-Star is all that really matters.

YK Osiris Would Take The Dinner With Young Thug Over $100K

YK Osiris has been in headlines time and time again for money related incidences. Whether it’s owing a rapper money, talking about it, flashing it, wasting it, or losing it, YK Osiris has managed to do it all in less than a year. Just in the last few months Osiris lost an earring that he claims cost him upwards of $300K, had to sing for Drake to clear his $60K debt to the Toronto artist, and remembered that he may owe Young Thug as well.

On the subject of Young Thug, people have been asking the question: “Would you take a dinner with (insert popular rapper here) or $100K?” The latest iteration of the proposition involves Thugger, as previously mentioned.

Gunna answered the question, speaking on his own experience, since some form of this scenario actually played out for him. Gunna says he took the dinner, which eventually led to significantly greater financial success than $100K. Gunna’s career trajectory since joining Young Thug’s YSL label has been sky high, resulting in multiple albums in Billboard’s Top 10 (including his most recent, DS4EVER, which reached number one).

YK Osiris, to no one’s surprise, would take the dinner as well. “Dinner w/ Young Thug wtf that man is a genius,” replied Osiris when the question crossed his path.

The question, though, is would YK Osiris handle this money properly. His track record may leave you to believe otherwise.

Would you take the dinner with Young Thug or $100K? Who will be the next rapper thrown into this neverending trend? Leave your thoughts below.
