Here Is The Complete List Of 2024 Grammy Awards Nominations

The Grammy Awards, despite some past controversies, remain the biggest night in music. While that night is still some months away, today, we learn which artists and works will compete for the most prestigious awards in music.

Works published between October 1, 2022, and September 15, 2023, are eligible to for nomination, while rule changes mean that fewer artists/works will be nominated for the “Big Four” awards. There will, however, be new categories for emerging genres.

Another decision sure to bring controversy is that AI songs have been declared eligible — but only for songwriting awards. Now, that doesn’t mean that one will be nominated, although one was submitted. But stranger things have happened (like Beyoncé being snubbed for Album of the Year — twice!).

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason, Jr. made a statement to clear up confusion about AI after a public backlash from fans online, saying, “I take this [AI] stuff very seriously. It’s all complicated, and it’s moving really, really quickly. I’m sure things are going to continue to have to evolve and change. But please, please, do not be confused. The Academy is here to support and advocate and protect and represent human artists, and human creators, period.”

To find out who wins, you’ll have to wait until February 4, 2024, when the ceremony airs. For now, though:

Check out the full list of 2024 Grammy nominees below. The list will be updated as nominations are revealed.

NLE Choppa Called Out For Not Having Any Black Women In His New Video

Overnight, NLE Choppa released a new video to Instagram. While it seemed like a simple enough attempt at started a viral challenge, fans quickly noticed something about it. In the video, Choppa dances on top of a table while a few dozen scantily clad women walk in a line around the room on either side of him. In the caption he makes his intentions clear saying “#SPINCHALLENGE.” But almost all the top comments on the clip are honing in on the fact that no black women, in particular dark skin women are included in the clip.

“Where the DARKSKIN GIRLSSS,” one of the top comments on the post reads and looking at the video itself, it’s an accurate observation. “Y’all really hate black girl huh,” and “Not one dark girl in sight,” other comments agree. Choppa himself did come to his own defense, though it didn’t exactly win many people over. “Ask the person who invited them. I’m just here” he said in a comment responding to one of the fans complaining. That answer didn’t particularly change the minds of many fans in the comments. Check out the video and the reactions to it below.

Fans Call Out NLE Choppa For New Video

Last month, NLE Choppa disappeared for a few days. The story went viral when Choppa’s own mother raised concerns on social media when she couldn’t get in contact with him. Shortly after, she shared another update confirming that he had returned and apologizing for the uproar fans had started.

Just a day later NLE Choppa explained himself online. “I appreciate y’all showing concern but the missing narrative isn’t cool, especially knowing that people really do go missing everyday. I took a little time to myself to get back to my roots, but trust I’m all good. Apologies to anyone that was worried. We don’t run from battles, we take em chin up. IM BACK. 2019Chop,” he said in an Instagram post. What do you think of NLE Choppa not including any black women in his new Spin Challenge video? Let us know in the comment section below.

Cardinals Tease Return Of Kyler Murray

The Arizona Cardinals have teased the return of starting quarterback Kyler Murray on social media. The post shows Murray stood within a mockup of a music platform, with the track playing listed as “I’m Back” by “K.1.”. Murray has been sidelined by injury since December 2022. In his absence, the Cardinals have struggled behind the quarterback play of Joshua Dobbs, who was recently traded to the Vikings. Murray is expected to start against the Falcons this weekend.

Despite this, head coach Jonathan Gannon made no assertions that the only issue for 1-8 Cardinals was at QB. “We’ve got to play clean football in all three phases. We’ve got to do our job on defense and special teams. It doesn’t matter who is playing quarterback,” Gannon told reporters. Last week was an especially low point for the team. They lost 27-0 to the Browns and managed just 58 yards of offense behind rookie Clayton Tune.

Falcons Looking To Spoil Murray’s Return

However, the Falcons aren’t exactly flying high either. 4-5 on the season, Atlanta have lost five of their last seven and have dropped winnable games in back-to-back weeks. “We’re not going to sugarcoat it. You can be frustrated. You can be mad. You’re going to feel all the emotions by it. But we have to go do something about it. As bad as it feels — nobody’s celebrating being 4-5 — but the reality is when you have perspective, after we get these corrections and assess everything, we do still control our own destiny. We have half a season,” head coach Arthur Smith said.

Murray’s counterpart for Atlanta will be veteran Taylor Heinicke, who remains QB1 for the Falcons. However, Heinicke spoke about doing his best to support benched sophomore Desmond Ridder. “Me and Des have talked privately. I’ve told him everything he’s been doing since he was starting, running the meetings, keep doing. Everything. I think that’s going to help him in the long run. He has been great, the same Des. It speaks to his character,” Heinicke said.

Ice Spice Secures Best New Artist Nomination At The Grammys

Ice Spice has been one of the biggest newcomers in hip-hop over the past year. Overall, her track “Munch” has a lot to do with this. Of course, this is the song that ultimately catapulted her into superstardom. However, she has had plenty of other big hits since that time. For instance, she has done some songs with Nicki Minaj. Furthermore, she even got to feature on the remix to Taylor Swift’s track “Karma.” Needless to say, she has come through with a lot of great music, and fans have been loving it.

With awards season upon us, there have been numerous rumblings about what kind of award she would be made privy to. After all, she has done enough to get consideration. Mostly, people have been keeping tabs on the Grammys. These awards are huge for any artist, and Ice Spice, in particular, has a few categories that she could potentially dominate. Well, it seems like Spice did, in fact, get nominated. According to Chart Date, she has been nominated for Best New Artist.

Ice Spice Could Win Big

She will be competing against Victoria Monet, The War And Treaty, Noah Kahan, Coco Jones, Jelly Roll, Fred again…, and Gracie Abrams. Overall, it is a fairly stacked category, and Ice Spice is in very good company. Whether or not she will win, still remains to be seen. Luckily for her, she was also nominated in the Best Pop-Group Performance category alongside Taylor Swift. This means Spice could come home with a total of two Grammys. It would be huge, albeit not guaranteed at all.

Eli Manning Encourages Travis Kelce To Visit Taylor Swift In Argentina

Eli Manning has encouraged Travis Kelce to visit Taylor Swift in Argentina. The singer is currently performing a trio of Eras Tour concerts in Buenos Aires. “I think for him to travel, there’s nothing wrong with traveling, going somewhere. Hey, if he wants to go and support his girlfriend and see her play a concert, I’ve got no problem with that. I think that’s the idea. [The bye week] is the time to rest the body, rest the mind a little bit, recharge yourself to get ready for that second half of the season,” Manning told PEOPLE.

Kelce did not attend the first Eras Tour show in Buenos Aires on November 9. Instead, Kelce was spotted in Kansas City, attending a gala for the foundation of his friend and quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. At the ceremony, Kelce was also honored after becoming the Chiefs’ all-time leader in receiving yards this past weekend. Swift is performing in the Argentinian capital for another two days. Next week, she heads to Brazil. Kelce is unlikely to join her there due to Chiefs games on November 20 and 26.

Kelce Refuses To Say If He’s Headed To Argentina

Furthermore, Kelce has refused to say if he plans to go to Argentina at all. “I might just say f-ck it and just go somewhere nice, I don’t know. My skin’s getting real pale so I gotta go somewhere sunny,” Travis said on New Heights when asked by his brother if he had plans for the Chiefs’ bye week. When Travis added that he wanted to be “closer to the equator”, Jason shot back with “South of the equator?”

Meanwhile, a conspiracy continues to persist amongst Swifties and NFL fans that Taylor Swift is having a very real impact on Travis Kelce’s season. The Chiefs have now played nine games this season, amassing a 7-2 record. Swift has attended four games this season, half of the games Kelce has played in so far. When Swift is in the stands, Kelce has 432 yards and 2 touchdowns (108 per game). However, when Swift is absent, Kelce has just 165 yards and two short-yardage touchdowns (41.25 per game). Furthermore, the Chiefs are 4-0 with Swift attending. However, they suffered a blowout loss to the Broncos when she skipped that road game.

NBA YoungBoy’s “Decided 2” Album Preceded By Cryptic IG Message: “I Ain’t Got No F**king Friends Thug”

NBA YoungBoy’s 2023 album run has been one of the most impressive we’ve seen this year, but just because he’s putting out music consistently doesn’t mean it’s all roses and rainbows in the Louisana native’s life. Rather, the lyricist shared that he’s been feeling particularly isolated in an Instagram Story before his Decided 2 LP hit DSPs at midnight. The sole feature on the 18-track LP comes from Rod Wave on “Better Than Ever,” and interestingly, the 24-year-old noted before dropping that he’s feeling particularly lonely as of late.

“I ain’t got no f**king friends thug,” YB wrote over a black screen on Thursday (November 9) afternoon. “Y’all the ones got it twisted, ain’t nobody here for me when I’m OV. On Sherhonda, I’m gone die on this mountain I own b**ch,” the embattled artist wrote on his Story. “Before I call on you or brake – Top Ni**a,” he added. It’s unclear exactly what set NBA off this time, though it’s possible the ongoing accusations from one of his children’s mothers could have something to do with it.

Artists Who Rap About The ‘Hood Lifestyle’ Despite Middle-Class Upbringings

Tyga-Rubi-Rose-Travis-Scott

Tyga-Rubi-Rose-Travis-Scott

Hip-hop has long celebrated the narrative of making it out of the hood, portraying a lifestyle many aspire to achieve. However, some of the genre’s most popular artists have been called out for rapping about the “hood lifestyle” despite coming from middle-class backgrounds. Artists like Tyga, Rubi Rose, Travis Scott, and Offset have built their […]

Darius Jackson Responds To Keke Palmer Allegations, Tells Son “See You Soon”

Darius Jackson is facing some pretty hefty allegations from his ex, Keke Palmer. Last night, it was reported that Palmer had filed for a restraining order from Jackson. Furthermore, she filed for full custody of their child. Subsequently, Palmer was granted both of those requests. Although she will have to go to court again later in December, it remains clear that the judge is siding with her. Overall, she alleges that Jackson has physically abused her on numerous occasions.

For instance, she claims that after showing him a photo of her in a bikini, he allegedly got angry and grabbed at her neck. Moreover, he tried grabbing her phone and allegedly continued assaulting her in the process. Now, however, Jackson himself is responding in a more indirect way. While he has not addressed what Palmer has said, he does seem to be focused on his child right now. In the tweet below, he wrote “I love you, son. See you soon.”

Darius Jackson Speaks

As it stands, he does not have custody of his child, so this reaction does make sense. However, you can imagine just how harshly fans have been reacting to this post. Many are livid with the allegations and are seeking some form of punishment. Overall, it is not a good look for him, and the public support is fully behind Palmer right now. Only time will tell whether or not a judge will continue to side with Palmer. She goes back to court in December, and it is there where we may get some insight into the intricacies of what went down.

For now, this remains a developing story with numerous moving parts. Hopefully, we will get some more clarity on the situation, very soon. Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world. Deion Sanders Says He “Loves” His Players Fighting During Practice

Deion Sanders said on his radio show this week that he “loves” his players fighting during practices. “We’ve had a great week of practice. We had a couple of fights, which I like. It’s a great thing. I always want to know who won because I keep records. I don’t break them up. Some coaches break them up. I don’t. Some guys fight hoping for the break up. No, we’re going to let you go. So, we did have a couple fights this week, and I love it. They’ve been getting after it. It’s almost like a rededication. It’s almost like a refocus. I love where we are. We’ve had great practices this week, offense, defense, as well as special teams,” Sanders said.

However, it’s not the first time that Sanders has expressed this opinion. Back in August, Sanders expressed his disappointment that several players did not get involved in a fight that broke out during practice. In a video posted to YouTube by his family’s media company, Sanders could be seen telling at least two players “If one fights, we all fight”.

Colorado Need Two Wins To Go Bowling

Great practices aside, all is not well in Boulder. The Buffs dropped their third consecutive game last weekend, falling below .500 for the first time this season. It came as a late rally against Oregon State fell short and the Buffs were knocked off 26-19. It’s now been a full month since Colorado’s last win, a 27-24 victory over Arizona State. Furthermore, the bowl window is closing bit by bit. Colorado, who are 4-5, need two wins from their last three games to be bowl-eligible.

Unfortunately for the Buffs, they have a rough schedule to close out the Pac-12 season. Up next is #21 Arizona, who are coming off three consecutive victories against ranked opponents. Then there is Washington State, who are 4-5 after a white-hot start to the season. Finally, they end the season against #18 Utah, who are 7-2. While Sanders has said the team isn’t thinking about bowl season, it would be an incredibly disappointing end to a season that started off so well. The Wildcats are 10.5 favorites against the Buffs this weekend.
