Cardi B Dismisses Rumors That She Copied Nicki Minaj’s Memes Online

Another day, another clash between the Barbz and the Bardi Gang. This time around, it’s because of a Whitney Houston meme that Cardi B used on Twitter, one that led many to believe that she was copying Nicki Minaj’s style of online pop culture reference jokes. “You sure bout that??” the Bronx femcee responded to skeptical Minaj Stans online, sharing a screenshot of a meme of the late legendary singer that she posted back in 2021. “Now go see if b***hes was posting this meme before that date.” Do bragging rights for a meme’s viral status and ownership really have a place in this rap beef?

Even if the answer is no, that’s the reality that we’re living in right now. The last clash between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj was the latter teasing laid-off employee’s at the former’s record label. “Dear fired executives & A&R’s: Don’t be mad, UPS is hiring. Also, feel free to submit your resumes for a job @ #HeavyOnIt [Nicki’s imprint with Republic Records],” she tweeted. “They’ve been wanting empty arenas so bad. Obsessed with me while all your friends r getting fired is nasty work.”

Cardi B Denies Nicki Minaj Biting

But Cardi B has bigger fish to fry, such as her newborn daughter and her nasty split from Offset, which looks like it’s for real this time. “This is around the time that I’m promoting, promoting, promoting the f**k out of ‘Enough,’” she recalled on social media when looking back at their relationship issues amid her third pregnancy. “So I’m like, damn, I’m pregnant. But I’m not really thinking much of it. Me and my baby dad, we were on very bad terms. I still called him and we kind of laughed about it because it was like, ‘What the f**k? That s**t is so random.’

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is sticking up for her marriage with Kenneth Petty. “Dear weak loser,” she retorted at a fan criticizing her for including a picture that showed Petty in a post about her son’s birthday. “Tweeting about someone else’s bday b/c you have nothing to rejoice about in your own sad existence. & clearly don’t feel loved & definitely not paid attention to due to your ugliness…”

How To Use Spotify’s AI Playlist Maker

AI is a bit of a gold rush at the moment, and Spotify has been getting in on it, too, with their AI DJ feature. A new AI playlist feature leaked in late 2023, but now Spotify is moving towards giving it an official, wider release.

How To Use Spotify’s AI Playlist Maker

Per Spotify’s announcement post, the feature is available on the mobile app and can be found by going to “Your Library.” From there, tap the “+” button on the top-right of the screen, then select “AI Playlist.”

Then, users will be presented with suggested prompts or the option to type their own. Spotify encourages specificity, sharing examples that include “sad music for painting dying flowers” or “tracks for horse riding into the sunset.” Spotify will then compile some tracks that match the prompt.

Users can also fine-tune the mix by telling AI Playlist what specifically they’re looking for, with example prompts like “more pop” or “less upbeat.” Once the playlist is in a good state, users can then tap “Create” to save the playlist to their library.

Spotify also notes, “While it’s designed to be fun, the tool is still in beta and won’t produce results for non-music-related prompts, like current events or specific brands. We also have measures in place around prompts that are offensive — so please prompt responsibly!”

Currently, the feature is in beta and is only available to users with iOS and Android devices in the UK and Australia. It’s not clear when or if the feature will be made available to users in the US and other countries.

Eminem Reveals He’s Going To Be A Grandpa In His Touching New ‘Temporary’ Video

One of the best songs on Eminem‘s The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) is “Temporary,” a sweet ode to the rapper’s daughter, Hailie Jade. The music video for the track is equally touching, with home video footage of the two of them. It culminates with Hailie Jade giving her dad a Detroit Lions jersey with “Grandpa” on the back. That’s right, Eminem — who once rhymed “I smacked him in his face with an eraser, chased him with a stapler” with “and stapled his nuts to a stack of paper” — is about to be a grandfather. To quote Em himself: damn.

You can watch the music video for “Temporary” (which features vocals from Skylar Grey) above.

Hailie Jade discussed her reaction to “Temporary” and “Somebody Save Me,” which depicts an alternate reality where Eminem died when she was young, on a recent episode of her Just A Little Shady podcast.

“Speaking of things I watched this past week, which I guess I’ll say watched, but I refused to watch again — the ‘Somebody Save Me’ music video is out and I did watch the thing. I don’t think I can do it again. I definitely cry every time I hear it at all,” she said. “Between that and ‘Temporary,’ OK, well, that I listened to and it broke me. I audibly sobbed I think for both songs, but especially ‘Temporary.’”

R Kelly’s Daughter Doesn’t Want Her Child To Meet Him

R. Kelly continues to serve his 30-year prison sentence for racketeering and sex trafficking charges, but new allegations will come forth soon. Moreover, the upcoming documentary R. Kelly’s Karma: A Daughter’s Journey will focus on new allegations from his family, specifically from his daughter Joanne Kelly. In a trailer for the project, she reflects on her past bond with the singer and her current thoughts on his 2021 conviction. In addition, this piece will also apparently bring forth new allegations of misconduct from Joanne against her father, although the specific nature of these is unclear. However, she also looked to the future.

Furthermore, Joanne Kelly is pregnant at press time, and she spoke on how she plans to explain R. Kelly’s situation and actions to her family. “If my son asks questions, I’m going to be as truthful as possible. And I will not be taking my son to prison to meet his grandfather,” she expressed. In the past, much of the R&B star’s family has reckoned with his disturbing legacy and actions. Joanne’s other siblings, Jaah Kelly and Robert Kelly Jr., will also appear in this doc.

“He knows exactly why we can’t have the relationship that we would have liked with him,” Joanne remarked in the trailer for this upcoming R. Kelly documentary. “He was my everything. For a long time, I didn’t even want to believe that it happened. I didn’t know that even if he was a bad person that he would do something to me. I really feel like that one millisecond completely just changed my whole life.” While the world reacts to these new allegations, he continues to face issues in prison and advocate for his privacy.

I don’t believe none of this s**t,” R. Kelly said of the current Diddy allegations and his federal case, which also comprises of sex trafficking and racketeering charges. “You could tell me about Puffy, you could tell me about anybody. You could tell me on the news, the weather, the sky is blue, I’m not gonna believe the s**t. ‘Cause I’m in it now, and I know what they did.”

Chloe Bailey Suffers Unfortunate Nip Slip On TikTok Live

Chloe Bailey never hesitates to flaunt her figure on social media, but recently, the 26-year-old accidentally showed off more than she bargained for. Earlier this week, the songstress gave her supporters a look at a bright red corset dress she rocked for GLAMOUR’S 2024 Women of the Year Awards on TikTok Live. She highlighted the back of the dress before turning around and accidentally exposing her breasts.

Bailey looked shocked and ultimately sat down to ask fans not to share any screengrabs of her wardrobe malfunction. Unfortunately, however, clips of the mishap quickly began to make their rounds online. Either way, it doesn’t look like Bailey has let the debacle get her down. At the aforementioned awards show, she was named Musician Of The Year.

Eminem Touchingly Announces His Daughter’s Pregnancy In “Temporary” Music Video

Eminem continues to hearten fans and draw a couple of tears from them, as he just dropped the music video for his The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) cut “Temporary” featuring Skylar Grey. The song and visual is a touching tribute to his daughter Hailie Jade, with the lyrics hypothesizing on the Detroit rapper’s final message to her before his eventual passing. The visuals show old home video footage of Hailie, tearful moments at her wedding, and even the reveal that she’s expecting a child. We can’t believe that Marshall Mathers will become a grandfather soon, and from the looks of it, he can barely believe it either.

“I watched it in entirety and I don’t think I can do it again,” Hailie Jade recalled her reaction to Eminem’s “Somebody Save Me” music video featuring Jelly Roll, another family tribute. “I definitely cry every time I hear it at all. Between that and ‘Temporary’… I mean, I can’t. I audibly sobbed, I think, for both songs, but especially ‘Temporary.’ Watching the [‘Somebody Save Me’] video back and listening to the songs, I feel like my parents did such a good job growing up where I didn’t realize how bad things were.

I think that’s why I get emotional so much just thinking that that could have happened,” Hailie Jade shared concerning Eminem’s addiction struggles and near-death experiences. “And obviously that’s the point of the song. But I will say, if you’ve ever lost an addict or loved one, I feel for you.” “The older I get, the less I can listen to any of the songs,” she said of “Mockingbird.” “I’ve done enough crying and I told myself I refuse.”

However, Eminem and Hailie Jade aren’t the only ones who got emotional from these milestones. “I wish I had a daughter, I do, I wish I had a daughter,” 50 Cent recently told Haute Living of Hailie’s wedding. “I wish I had that [father-daughter] relationship. For female children, their dad is the first man they fall in love with. Male children go to their mom; I’m a mama’s boy myself. It was unbelievable, the wildest thing for me, period. I was like, ‘Yo, bro, this is cr*zy. We’re getting old. Your baby is grown. What the f**k is going on?’ I was having a moment myself over there. I told Em, ‘You said it was OK to cry? Because I’m crying.’ I couldn’t believe it went that fast.”
