Dame Dash discussed his decision to put his Roc-A-Fella shares up for auction during a recent Interview with Greg G for America Nu Network. The decision to get the payout comes as a way of settling his $832,000 debt owed to film producer Josh Webber and Muddy Waters Pictures. The imprint’s co-founders, JAY-Z and Kareem “Biggs” Burke, previously attempted to block Dash from getting out while citing company bylaws about selling shares without board consent.

“I just want to sell it and fund my other businesses with it,” Dash said. From there, he accused Jay of falsely acting as CEO of Roc-A-Fella and using the company against him. Dash has also tried moving off of the shares by selling them as an NFT.

They illegally tried to change bylaws… Jay’s using my money to pay his lawyers to sue me about something I did not do,” Dash added in the interview. “Finally, the judge was like, ‘Yo, he could sell his interest. Those bylaws that you put in 2021 are not applicable. You can’t tell that man he can’t sell his private property.’ So now I get to take it to auction like I originally wanted to. Now it’s like I got an order of protection against Jay and Biggs from trying to put a lawsuit on me.’ Jay and them can’t stop it. And that was the whole purpose of making sure that it could go to auction publicly.”

However, sometimes expectations are desirably met, and most recently, that happened with HBO’s The Last Of Us. Peacock also recently scored a win with Twisted Metal, and now, Prime Video is adapting Fallout for the TV screen.

The post-apocalyptic action game has been a hit among gamers for years. Since its very first installment was released in 1997, gamers have wholeheartedly immersed themselves in the world of Fallout. Now, with this new series, they have the opportunity to do so again. However, this time, the rest of the world will have the opportunity to experience the game’s harsh world on-screen as well. Admittedly, some fans are skeptical, and will probably remain so until they see the show. Nonetheless, the excitement is palpable, especially with the recent release of the show’s trailer. Here’s all we know about the upcoming Fallout TV series.

The Premise Of Fallout

Following the original plot of the game, the Fallout series will tell a post-apocalyptic tale. During a devastating nuclear war in an alternate reality, the Earth is left in terrible shape and almost completely destroyed. However, a number of survivors take refuge in a series of self-contained, technologically enhanced underground shelters known as Vaults. Two centuries later, Lucy, our primary protagonist and a descendant of the original Vault dwellers, emerges from her vault. Subsequently, she ventures into the wasteland, beginning a dangerous and adventurous journey.

Production And Development

The first announcement of a TV adaptation of Fallout was made in July 2020. It was revealed that the series was set to be developed by Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy for Amazon Studios. However, fans had no idea how long it would take to get ready or when a release date would be announced. Later, in January 2022, fans received news that Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner had been hired as showrunners. Soon after, actors were cast in roles, and filming began on July 5, 2022.

The Cast

As aforementioned, casting began in 2022. Walton Goggins was the first to bag his role as The Ghoul / Cooper Howard in February 2022. Soon after, in March, Ella Purnell joined the main cast, set to portray Lucy, the primary protagonist. Aaron Moten is also billed as a member of the main cast, and will be playing the character Maximus. Guest and supporting cast members include Kyle MacLachlan, Sarita Choudhury, Matt Berry, Mike Doyle, and Leslie Uggams, among others. Altogether, these actors have been placed with the responsibility of bringing Fallout to life on TV screens. 

Trailer And Release Date

While fans were initially worried about the treatment of this show, the trailers have significantly taken the edge off. On December 2, 2023, the teaser trailer was released, introducing viewers to the world of Fallout on TV. Subsequently, on March 7, 2024, the official trailer dropped, giving viewers a longer glimpse of what is to come. In less than 24 hours, the trailer amassed over five million views on YouTube. Evidently, fans are excited, and prepared to experience Fallout on TV for the first time. The series is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on April 11, 2024.

The Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly comedy classic is iconic for their performances, but also because of the movie’s cover art. So, because of how close Drake and J. Hailing from Newburgh, New York, Pardison Fontaine is a rapper and songwriter who’s best known for his breakout single “Backin’ It Up” featuring Cardi B. The song peaked at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100, with the official music video currently hailing over 197 million views and counting.

Fast forward to 2024, Pardison is finally back in the groove of releasing new music. Last year, he dropped off his highly-anticipated SEXT8PE, which arrived on the heels of “Thee Woman” — a diss track in response to his ex Megan Thee Stallion. But Pardi isn’t here for the gossip or drama, he wants to keep things positive and focus on his artistry the best way he knows how.

The Source spoke with Pardison Fontaine a few moments before he performed his Los Angeles show at the Peppermint Club.

What was the moment you fell in love w/ Hip-Hop?

Probably “Hey Little Mama. Why you dance so funky?” [The Puppies’ “Funky Y-2-C”] It was a song I used to see on BET. I was fucking too young to be singing that song. I used to sing it and get in trouble. That, and I remember hearing “Sipping on gin and juice.” ‘Cause I used to ride with my uncle. Those are the first two songs I’ve ever heard I was like yo, this is fire.

Who’s your Top 5 all time?

Hip-Hop artists?

It doesn’t have to be.

Aw shit, that made it even more difficult. But Hip-Hop, for me I’ma go Big. I’ma go DMX. I’ma go Lil Wayne, and Kanye.

Best memory from doing “Backin’ It Up” with Cardi B? You know that’s my jam.

Just seeing the reaction. That’s why I got into music, to see people react to it. See people fall in love with it. I saw the impact that it had, and how many times girls are saying they shouldn’t be “paused on the FaceTime.” Seeing people take that and run with it was the best part for me.

How’d you tap in with Sexyy Red?

With Sexyy Red? She’s a fucking workaholic first off. She’s a workaholic, she stays in the studio. I happened to be in Miami. I’m like what you doing? Met in the studio. We played a couple of records. We played a few for her, a few for me. We did one together.

You made “Sexyy & Conceited” from scratch?

We made it from scratch that day. We decided to go back and forth, it was tough. 

Where’s the video?

I do got it. I should release it. I got it though. I got the harddrive. When the official music video comes out, I’ll send y’all the video of how we created it too.
