Will Eminem Release A New Album In 2024?

Eminem fans might have some tunes to look forward to this year. Some of his friends, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and 50 Cent, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! in honor of Dre getting a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

While that was the shining topic on the show, Dr. Dre also wound up talking about Eminem and had some exciting news to share.

Will Eminem Release A New Album In 2024?

“Let me tell you something, let me explain something to you right now: Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year,” Dre said.

Although it might seem that Dr. Dre let the news about Eminem slip, he pointed out that he did get permission from the rapper. It’s also already been four years since the Detroit musician last released a record, with 2020’s Music To Be Murdered By.

“And I actually talked to him and he told me it was okay for me to make that announcement right here on this show,” Dr. Dre added. “So he has an album coming out, I’ve got songs on it and it’s fire. I’m actually gonna hear the entire album for the first time for tomorrow. And he holds his music close to his chest so I haven’t heard everything. I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done, but I’m gonna hear it, and he’s putting out an album this year.”

Check out the full interview, including Dr. Dre discussing Eminem’s new album in the works around the 25:20 minute mark, above.

Jay-Z & Beyonce Under Fire For “COWBOY CARTER” Rollout, Azealia Banks Shares Lengthy Rant

It’s no secret that power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce aren’t one of Azealia Banks’ favourite duos. Now that the latter is gearing up to unveil Act II of her RENAISSANCE album series, the “212” hitmaker is making it known that she’s not supporting Bey exploring genres outside her usual repertoire. “Wow, we didn’t even try to put even a little effort into a more artistic title?” Banks asked on her Instagram Story. “Sis, I live for Whiteyonce Donatella Bianca Bardot DOWN, but I’m kind of ashamed at how [you] switch from Baobab trees and Black Parade to this literal pick me stuff.”

The New Yorker then called the “Halo” artist out for previously supporting the embattled Dixie Chicks, “who would never do the same for [her].” According to Banks, Bey too often shares her “platform with White women who are so jealous of [her] but have such a long history of sabotaging other Black women’s careers.” In particular, the infamous social media troll is taking issue with the “White woman cosplay” we’ve seen the Houston native in lately, such as her platinum blonde hair and themed outfits.

Azealia Banks Shares Her Thoughts on Act II

As for Beyonce’s husband, Banks had a message for him too. “Ugh, I’m so saddened by Jay-Z and his over strategizing everything [Bey does] to the point where it’s clearly his influence and not the real Bianca Bardot… Someone tell Jay-Z his strategies are corny and Beyonce has better ideas… We would like to see her outside without him and his pound puppy dreadlocks breathing all over herrrrrrr.”

If you’re still curious to know more about Beyonce’s COWBOY CARTER, even after Azealia Banks’ loud hate train, the mother of three gave us a few interesting details via IG earlier this week. She didn’t unveil her list of collaborators yet, but Bey did promise that she has upcoming songs with fellow artists who have earned her deepest respects. Read all about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Funniest Moments From Dave Chappelle’s “Making The Band” Skit

Dave Chappelle’s  2004 Making The Band sketch has recently been enjoying a resurgence in the limelight, and it’s all thanks to Dylan Dilinjah. The former member of the group Da Band blamed the sketch, and Chappelle, for allegedly nuking his rap career. The sketch, featured on Season 2 Episode 10 of Chappelle Show, was a spoof of the classic MTV program of the same name. It featured Dave Chappelle as both Bad Boy Entertainment CEO P-Diddy and Dylan. The effect the sketch had on Dilinjah’s career weren’t favorable, though. However, there’s no denying it boasted some truly hilarious moments.

Read More: Dave Chappelle Net Worth 2023: What Is The Comedy Legend Worth?

Two regular occurrences throughout P. Diddy’s time with Da Band include: constantly threatening to shut down the studio, and demanding that they perform ridiculous tasks. Naturally, this carried over into Chappelle’s sketch. In less than a minute of meeting the members, P-Diddy (Chappelle) asks them all to walk to Queens and get him a sugar cookie.

It was a spoof of the time when Diddy demanded that the group get him a slice of Junior’s Cheesecake. However, he didn’t want one from 45th and Broadway, which was closer. Instead, Diddy wanted a slice of cheesecake from the original Junior’s Cheesecake location in Brooklyn. So all six members of the group were forced to walk downtown from Manhattan, and across the Brooklyn Bridge, while rapping the lyrics to Notorious B.I.G’s “Juicy.”

6. “We’re Supposed To Be A Family!”

Chappelle featured spoofs of many fights that happened in Making The Band season 2. He hilariously poked fun in a make-believe fight, which breaks out at the 2:38 mark of the sketch. However, what makes it hilarious is Chappelle’s Dylan suddenly becoming a pacifist. Moreover, this is done all while making absolutely no attempt to involve himself in the scuffle. Instead, he quietly admonishes them from a few feet away saying “What’s happening? We’re supposed to be a family! What are you doing?”

5. “Is That Hot? Is That What’s Going On In The Streets Right Now?”

As P-Diddy threatens to shut down the studio for the last time, his group members are too exhausted to care. In a last-ditch effort at intimidation, he asks if they are really sure they want to continue on that path. This is then followed by Chappelle spoofing the Making The Band scene. He begins questioning his “band,” who would do anything except pay him attention. Finally, he moves on to Ness and asks, “You just gonna do your taxes, Ness? You just gonna sit there and crunch numbers? Huh. Is that hot? Is that what’s going on in the streets right now? Your taxes?”

4.  Dylan Is The Best Rapper Of All Time

The overconfident Dylan had many moments of self-declared greatness on MTV. His antics on Making The Band earned him a very special spot in Chappelle’s sketch. One of these moments includes the time Chappelle’s Dylan has a few seconds in the confessional. He uses this time to complain about Diddy’s sugar cookie errand. At the 0:45 mark, he rhetorically asks “Who are the five best rappers of all time? Think about it!” before responding, “Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, and Dylan.”

3. “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop”

Before one of his hilarious exits in the sketch, Chappelle’s P-Diddy says ”Can’t Stop Won’t Stop,” and does a hilarious dance along with it. This traces back to one of P-Diddy’s most iconic catchphrases, which he often exclaimed during his performances- “Can’t stop, won’t stop, Bad Boy, baby!” It was either that, or he’d break into a trademark shoulder jig, instantly recognizable by his longtime fans.

2. “The Finest Breast Milks”

Diddy had a couple of ridiculous errands on Making The Band, and Chappelle made sure to take jabs at them. Chappelle’s character asked his members to hit the streets and find him fresh breast milk from a Cambodian woman. This is because apparently, he only drinks “the finest breast milks.” When they returned with his request, he guzzled it right there in their horrified faces. Soon after, he began singing to the empty bottles. Knowing Chappelle’s penchant for political comedy, it is possible that this joke was also a commentary on breast milk imports from Cambodia. This practice was however banned by the Cambodian government in 2017.

1. Dylan’s “Hot Fire”

The funniest moment from the Making The Band sketch comes when Chappellle’s Dylan enters into the studio to show his stuff after mouthing off earlier. When the producer (Wyclef) enters the studio to stop him, Dylan asks “You trying to get some of this hot fire?” He then attempts to choke Wyclef Jean right then in the booth. Why? For not immediately liking his song and coming too close to him.

Jalen Green Says He’s Motivated By His Baby And Family As Fans Continue To Harass Draya Michele

In a recent post-game interview, Jalen Green revealed that he is currently motivated by his “family” and his “baby”. Green hasn’t said much publicly since his partner, reality star Draya Michele, revealed she was pregnant with the young rising star’s child. However, other people have had plenty to say about the couple. Actor London Brown called Michele “passed around goods” while criticizing Green for dating the 39-year-old. Meanwhile, former NBAer Nick Young took the opportunity to share a story about how Michele had been with Gilbert Arenas.

Furthermore, many people have called Michele a “predator” given the 17-year age gap between her and Green. Michele recently opened up about the toll the hate was having on her. Michele said that some days she feels like she is “struggling to breathe” amid the wave of hate she has received over her relationship with Jalen Green. Previously, Michele had shared words from a self-proclaimed medicine woman in response to the hate. “Get comfortable being misunderstood. Only a fraction of people will be able to truly grasp your essence. You are not on anyone else’s timeline of comprehension. Also, it’s none of your business how others choose to perceive you. Most High sees you clearly – let that be enough,” read the tweet.

Patrick Beverley Rips Gilbert Arenas For His Draya Michele Comments

However, not everyone has it out for Michele. Patrick Beverley has defended Michele and Green after Nick Young shared a salacious story about the reality star on Gilbert Arenas’ podcast. “Sidenote Yal foul. Not cool, not at all. @GilsArenaShow Yal old asl talking about another man Lady. Not cool gang. @PatBevPod,” Beverley wrote on X, formerly Twitter. However many people in Beverley’s comments tried to defend Young and Arenas, saying the two men were just trying to “warn” Green about Michele.

Meanwhile, Joe Budden recently called Michele a “predator” amid the rumors that the 39-year-old year might be expecting a child with the 21-year-old Green. “We’ve seen so many NBA stars lose their career, and everything, because of women like this,” Budden said. He also went after co-host MeLyssa Ford, who didn’t appear to have an issue with the relationship. “We don’t have twenty minutes to explain something to you that is right there in front of you,” Budden said dismissively. Despite this, several fans pointed out that Budden was also a predator after impregnating at a woman in her mid-20s when he was 39.

Tia Kemp Pops Off On IG Live After Someone Asks How Rick Ross Bagged Her

Tia Kemp is someone who has exploded in popularity on social media over the last couple of months. Overall, a lot of this has been thanks to her Instagram live sessions where she goes on to roast everyone she can think of. However, it has been her commentary on Rick Ross and Christina Mackey that has brought forth the most reactions. Of course, Ross and Kemp used to be together. Meanwhile, Mackey was Ross’ girlfriend for a bit, and there were times when the two would butt heads. Kemp’s commentary about Mackey has been extremely relentless, and it has not stopped despite Ross and Mackey’s recent breakup.

Recently, Kemp was on Instagram Live, yet again, although this time, she decided to target someone in the comments section. As you can see below, one person asked how Rick Ross was able to “bag” Kemp. This subsequently set off Kemp as she went in on the person. She offered some pretty relentless reads, and the fans in the comments were loving every single second. Moreover, she urged the commenter to go to Rick Ross’ page and ask him how he did it as she was not interested in answering such a question.

Busta Rhymes-narrated hip-hop documentary comes to ESPN

However, the project is not the first hip-hop documentary to drop within the ESPN family. Last year, the outlet released The Crossover. “Sports and Hip Hop are two pillars of Black culture that empowered a community to be heard and celebrated against the backdrop of cultural oppression and political persecution. As the 50th anniversary of the founding of Hip Hop is celebrated, a new ESPN special presentation examines the evolution of this defining culture and its relationship with sports. Soon, athletes and entertainers would step to the microphone and boldly become the sound of a new generation and an inspiration to their people. When the world looked to silence them, the culture found a way to speak louder than ever before. Muhammad Ali to Public Enemy, Jay-Z to Lebron James and beyond, the impact on sports has been indelible,” a press release from ESPN read.

Furthermore, the documentary was narrated by Busta Rhymes. Rhymes is one of the most influential pillars of the hip-hop scene. This makes him the perfect voice for such a complex and nuanced documentary. “I knew I wanted to do something on it. But obviously, working for a sports platform, I thought, What angle can I approach to tell the story? And I thought I hadn’t seen anything on the connection of sports and hip hop. So that’s where the gist of it came from,” he said. “From there, I just started thinking about those connections. Then I started developing an idea and pitching it to the team,” director Julian Gooden said of The Crossover.

Dr. Dre Faces Criticism For Abusive Past After Getting Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Dr. Dre is facing backlash on social media for his alleged abusive past, following the unveiling of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Despite the celebratory ceremony, some fans weren’t happy with paying tribute to a man responsible for such controversial actions.

“Dr Dre has been named as a violent abuser by multiple women. He has stated himself that he was violent but yeah, lets give this name a star and name a grammy award after him. The music industry is sick,” one user on Twitter wrote. When The Neighborhood Talk shared the post on Instagram, other fans had mixed responses. While some did agree, many came to the defense of Dre, and even brought up Chris Brown. “If y’all can forgive Dr Dre y’all can forgive Chris Brown,” one user wrote. Kanye West $8 Million Lawsuit Against YesJulz, Explained

Kanye West has recently had a resurgence, thanks to his new album Vultures. Vultures 1 has since been a success, hitting the number-one spot on the Billboard 200 chart. “Carnival,” also reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100, marking West’s first chart-topper in 13 years. Nonetheless, the album’s success may have been shadowed by scandal. Ye and his accolades and reviews are currently drowning in public comments about his alleged misfiring of YesJulz, a former Yeezy employee.

On March 12, Ye confirmed that his company YZY and YesJulz had parted ways on his Instagram Story. We have decided to no longer have YesJulz involved in the rollout of Vultures. All the activity on her page and with our fans in the past few days has been unauthorized.” his Story read. Now, it’s been reported that he filed an $8 million lawsuit against the controversial influencer and talent manager.

YesJulz Gets Fired

Recently, YesJulz helped promote Vultures, the recent project by Ye and Ty Dolla Sign. Not only was she in attendance at the album’s listening events, but YesJulz’s role with West’s company YZY seemed to involve planning, promoting, and live streaming. She also promoted outfits from his Vultures collection. However, a message appeared online — an alleged email from Ye’s Chief Of Staff, right-wing pundit Milo Yiannopolis — that stated she was being fired from Yeezy. Additionally, he stated that she incurred $7.7 million in fines after allegedly violating her NDA agreement. Ye later shared a message on his Instagram Story confirming that YesJulz would no longer work for Yeezy.

Read More: YesJulz Net Worth 2024: What Is The Influencer Worth?

The Alleged NDA Breach

Not standing down from a potential multi-million dollar lawsuit, YesJulz made a post on X, daring the company — specifically Yiannopoulos — to sue her. Then, she followed up with another post on her X account. This time, she shared a screenshot of a letter Yiannopoulos apparently signed. The letter in question read “Dear Julieanne…Obviously, you have been fired.” Aside from Yiannopoulos’s termination letter, there was a second announcement declaring intent to sue her for $7.7 million. This is for allegedly going against the terms of an NDA she had signed and apparently breached.

The letter read that: “[YesJulz] has repeatedly, intentionally, and grossly violated the terms of her Non-Disclosure Agreement with Claimants, including publicly disclosing corporate sales figures, social media strategies, text messages with Ye and management, release plans for the Vultures album, and product designs before release.”

Furthermore, the letter stated that YesJulz had incurred these fines while she worked for Yeezy as a “contractor.” It was first alleged that YesJulz contacted Ye’s fans online, which went against her NDA. However, even more serious claims have been made since then. YesJulz allegedly revealed information via Snapchat about a song on Vultures initially intended for Nicki Minaj but was later sent to Ice Spice and Doja Cat.

YesJulz’s Defense

She did not immediately respond to these allegations. On March 19, however, YesJulz threatened to sue a Ye fan account for slander. Moreover, she claimed she never signed the NDA presented. It is unclear why Yeezy would have continued to work with or disclose important information to YesJulz after she had allegedly not signed their NDA. A few hours later, the fan account was quoted by YesJulz, who would post screenshots of an NDA allegedly signed in YesJulz’s name. This has not been confirmed by either Ye or YesJulz though.

YesJulz began to retaliate against her former employers — and specifically Milo Yiannopoulos — on social media platforms almost immediately. She alleged that he was in control over hirings, firings, and payment schedules at YZY, not Ye. She also shared snippets of text conversations with Yiannopoulos. One of these snippets included Yiannopoulos referring to Kanye West’s fanbase as “down syndrome megafans” with “developmental disorders.”

Moreover, YesJulz went on Snapchat to describe how her role with Ye primarily involved assisting with logistical arrangements for events. She also described how she was intentionally thwarted from performing her job on multiple occasions, from claims that she was excluded from planning processes, and was frequently left with little organizing time. She claimed she was also excluded from those who would board the private jet.

Finally, YesJulz made sure to clarify that all of the people within Ye’s team were men. She cited a specific instance where she had meticulously planned a high-budget listening party at Factory Town. However,  the event was relocated behind her back to a subpar venue: a flea market at Wynwood. YesJulz is yet to speak ill against Ye, so they either had minimal contact or a cordial working relationship.

Read More: YesJulz Catches Heat Over OutKast And EarthGang Comparison

Well, the short answer is not really. While she has shared her side on both Snapchat and X threads and spaces, an email screenshot, purportedly from Milo Yiannopoulos, appeared on her X account. Milo apparently expressed a willingness to re-employ her. However, YesJulz responded defiantly to him, demanding that while she was much willing to work with Ye, he would have to fire Milo and the other “homophobic, racist, pedophilic” members of his staff. The fact that Yiannopoulos is willing to reconsider her employment might indicate that Ye is trying to avoid complicating the issue.

It’s also worth mentioning that the statement, which made mention of YesJulz’s $7.7 million fines, suggests the involvement of alternative dispute resolution. This means that an impartial third party can engage both parties without ever having to resort to court proceedings. So, although some sources speculate that Ye’s statement implies legal action against YesJulz, it’s important to emphasize that arbitration, unlike litigation, aims to resolve disputes privately, outside of court, with the primary goal of reaching a settlement.
