Doja Cat Shows Off Her Backside With A Revealing Album Cover To Announce ‘Scarlet II: Claude Frollo’

For a little while now, Doja Cat has been teasing a deluxe edition of her album Scarlet. Now, she has revealed more, and “revealed” is the right word there: She shared the cover art for Scarlet II: Claude Frollo today (April 2), and it features a photo of Doja facing away from the camera in a squatting position, which shows off her mostly bare backside.

Back in January, Doja shared a working tracklist for the project, featuring songs called “Acknowledge Me,” “Head High,” “Gang,” “Masc,” “Rider,” Urrrge,” and “Hungry.” It remains to be seen how or if the tracklist will end up being different than that version. “Masc” is definitely included, as Doja is set to release the song soon.

In an interview on The Therapy Gecko Podcast in February, Doja explained her reasoning for naming the project after Hunchback Of Notre Dame character Claude Frollo, saying:

“Because he is like a… is he a tyrant? He’s like a… I feel like it connects to the story of Scarlet in some way. And if you look up his personality traits and who he is and his story, you’ll understand kind of the whole connection. There’s a control aspect, like he just abuses his power and his control and is just dogmatic and is just a total c*nt. And all Esmerelda wanted to do was just be creative and sing and dance, but nasty old Claude Frollo was just having a field day on her, just being awful and a bad guy, stinky man.

And this isn’t about anyone in… there’s not anything very personal happening to me with one person. Claude Frollo doesn’t depict a single person in my life. It’s like a metaphor for the people that creatives endure on a daily basis in a bigger picture, a bigger scale.”

Khalid Shared The Release Date For ‘Please Don’t Fall In Love With Me,’ Calling It ‘The Start Of A New Chapter’

In late February, Khalid shared a snippet of his long-awaited comeback single “Please Don’t Fall In Love With Me,” along with a video compiling performances of the song from various locations. Today, he revealed the song’s impending release date: April 5, calling it, “the start of a new chapter.”

If that’s the case, he sure left the book on the shelf for a long time. Khalid’s last album, Free Spirit, came out in 2019, nearly five years ago. In the meantime, he released a mixtape, Scenic Drive, in 2021, but has kept a relatively low profile in the years since, only emerging last year with the single “Softest Touch” and the Barbie soundtrack cut “Silver Platter.” He also collaborated with Kiana Ledé, Toosii, PNAU, and Dove Cameron in 2023.

During the summer last year, joined Ed Sheeran on tour, although some of his performances had to be nixed due to a car accident.

In February this year, Khalid wrote on Instagram, “I know I’ve been MIA for a minute, but it feels good to be back soon. New Music 2024. New album 2024.” It still remains to be seen if the album will still be called Everything Is Changing, as he insinuated in 2021, but for now, we at least have a new song to look forward to.

“Please Don’t Fall In Love With Me” is out 4/5 via RCA.

Something tells me this year’s Kelce Jam will be even more popular than it was last year. On May 18, Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — who you might have heard is dating Taylor Swift — will throw the second annual Kelce Jam at the Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, Kansas. The lineup is headlined by Lil Wayne, Diplo, and 2 Chainz.

Other highlights include Travis Kelce’s Backyard BBQ (“This oversized BBQ activation will bring Kelce Jam fans together to enjoy the best KC BBQ and delectable custom Jim Beam cocktails all in one place”); the Uncrustables Uncrustival carnival, an homage to “Travis’ favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwich”; and a special guest appearance by… never mind, she’s busy.

“Kansas City, Kelce Jam is back baby! I’m excited to once again welcome fans for the ultimate day of music, food, and an electric experience celebrating Kansas City,” Kelce said in a statement. “Last year you exceeded my expectations when over 20,000 fans showed up in the rain to ‘fight for your right to party,’ and this year promises to be even more over the top as we welcome Lil Wayne, Diplo, and 2Chainz to the stage!”

Tickets for Kelce Jam go on sale on Friday, although you can register online now. General admission tickets cost $49.99, while VIP passes start at $249.99. You can find more information here.

Who Is On PartyNextDoor’s ‘PartyNextDoor 4’ Album Cover?

Yesterday (April 1), PartyNextDoor made waves by sharing the album cover for his upcoming album, PartyNextDoor 4. Album art has been known to get risqué, but PND took it to a different level this time around: The image is a photo of a naked woman photographed from behind. The woman strikes a suggestive pose on a bed, on all fours with her backside in the air. The framing of the photo crops out some, but certainly not all, of her butt. The implication here is that this photo was taking during a sexual act. The woman’s lower back also features a tattoo with the number 4.

The photo, which is too NSFW to be embedded in this post, can be seen on PartyNextDoor’s Instagram.

As the picture made the rounds, some started wondering about who the woman featured in the art is.

Who Is On PartyNextDoor’s PartyNextDoor 4 Album Cover?

As Complex reports, the model is an Instagram user who goes by @maaminextdoor. In an Instagram Story post, @maaminextdoor thanked @beetchabraids for doing her hair for the photo.

PartyNextDoor 4 is out 4/26 via OVO Sound/Warner Records. Find more information here.

Lil Yachty Revives A Classic McDonald’s Anthem In New Ad For The Restaurant

McDonald’s is no stranger to celebrity cameos and collaborations and that includes musicians. Often that comes through their own custom celebrity meals, of which they’ve done multiple. K-pop group BTS, reggaeton singer J Balvin and subsequently pop icon Mariah Carey have all lent their names to specific meals from the restaurant. The rap world is also well represented with Travis Scott, Saweetie, and Cardi B having collaborated in the past.

But in their new advertisement, they’re taking the hip-hop collaboration in a much more literal direction. For a new commercial in Canada, where McDonald’s is celebrating their new remix menu, they got Lil Yachty to do a remix of his own. In the ad he delivers an updated version of the classic “Menu Song” from advertisements the restaurant aired in the 80s. Yachty in particular feels like the perfect choice for the collab, as he’s spoken in the past about working for McDonald’s as a teenager. Take a look at the full remix he delivered below.

Lil Yachty Steals The Show In New McDonald’s Advertisement

Over the weekend, Lil Yachty flirted with creating controversy. He shared a video explaining why he thinks some rappers are so angry, and they might have been offended by it if it wasn’t so funny. Yachty claims that the simple reasons some rappers are so angry is that “they’re ugly.” The hilarious clip made the rounds online and didn’t seem to cause too much trouble for the rapper.

Yachty has been working with a ton of young up and coming artists recently. He recently formed his own label, Concrete Rekordz. Additionally the project already has multiple signees who have dropped a few songs as “Concrete Boys. “ There’s also a label compilation album from Concrete Boys releasing in just a few days. Magic Johnson Praises “Living Icon” Beyonce In Heartfelt Instagram Post

Beyonce’s new album, Cowboy Carter, has earned rave reviews from fans and critics alike. The pop icon has truly outdone herself with a body of work that blurs the lines between genre and form. Several huge names have taken to social media to praise Cowboy Carter, but one of the most effusive responses to the album came from an unexpected source: Magic Johnson. The NBA legend is officially a part of the Beyhive.

Magic hopped on Instagram the day Cowboy Carter dropped and penned a rave review of both the album and Beyonce’s impact on popular culture as a whole. The former Los Angeles Laker dubbed Beyonce a “living icon” and a “multifaceted force” in the music industry. He also went on to cite the numerous accolades the singer has accrued over the years, including 32 Grammys and 160 million albums sold. This is a clear instance of real recognizing real, given Magic’s historic pedigree on and off the court. If anyone knows true talent, it’s the all-time assists leader.

Magic Johnson Dubs Beyonce The GOAT

If the accolades and album co-sign weren’t effusive enough, Magic Johnson went a step further and declared Beyonce the “greatest female entertainer of all time.” He drew parallels between the singer and Michael Jackson, whom he considers the greatest male entertainer, and praised her for using her voice to uplift others. “I’m looking forward to seeing how you bring more representation into the country genre,” he wrote on IG. “Continue to use your platform to uplift and amplify the Black voice.”

The post was accompanied by a photograph of Magic standing next to Beyonce. The pairing of Magic and Beyonce might seem strange on paper, but the two have a public history. The NBA legend took the Grammys to task when Beyonce clinched her record-breaking 32nd win, claiming they should have done more to celebrate her achievement. “I don’t know if something can be done but to me, it was extremely disrespectful to Beyoncé and all of her work as an artist,” he tweeted. It’s safe to assume that Cowboy Carter will get the pop star back into the Grammy conversation.

Even with eight more months to go in 2024, there may not be a more memorable verse than the one Kendrick Lamar put out on “Like That.” The aggressive delivery from the California MC was something to behold and it will continue to be that way for a long time. Especially with how direct Kendrick Lamar was when he mentioned “First Person Shooter.” Ironically now, “Like That” has gone number one just like “First Person Shooter” did when it dropped. Both tracks are mega successful already, but Lamar has upped the numbers for Drake and J. Cole’s collaboration even more so.

In a recent tweet from Kurrco, data has since come out that Kendrick has boosted the sales of the For All The Dogs cut as of late. “Drake’s ‘First Person Shooter’ ft. J. Cole, saw a 15% increase in sales after being mentioned in ‘Like That’ by Future, Metro Boomin & Kendrick Lamar 👀” When you have the power that K-Dot has, you can do stuff like this. Since this was revealed, fans were having a mini debate in the comments about which track is better.

This could be another angle of the beef for years to come and we are here for it.

What are your thoughts on Kendrick Lamar boosting sales for “First Person Shooter” from his “Like That” verse? Is this going to go down as one of the more important diss tracks in hip-hop history?
