Lil Yachty Stars In A New McDonald’s Commercial Performing A Remix Of The Classic ‘Menu Song’

Life is funny sometimes. Occasionally, you’ll have full circle moments where you end up seemingly right back where you started, but with a fresh perspective and occasionally, a new role.

That’s what happened for Lil Yachty. The Atlanta rap star got his start as self-styled “king of the teens” after leaving his job working at McDonald’s. Now, he’s back on ol’ Ronald’s payroll, except this time, it’s as a celebrity endorser, appearing in a new TV commercial, doing what he does best. In a fun twist, the song he’s performing is also redux; Yachty runs off his favorite menu items in a remix of the chain’s 1988 “Menu Song,” which appeared in its ads nearly a decade before Yachty was even born. It’s surprisingly catchy — but maybe not that surprisingly, since it’s Lil Yachty using his “Minnesota”/”Poland” flow. He even throws in a little bit of his fellow rapper Pusha T’s Golden Arches jingle at the end.

You can check out the full commercial above.

McDonald’s has had some great luck partnering with rappers over the past few years. Aside from the aforementioned Pusha T-penned jingle, the chain has teamed up with Travis Scott, Saweetie, Cardi B, and Offset to share themed meals that have brought in plenty of revenue for the brand — and for the participating artists. Lil Yachty is a perfect addition to that tradition. Now, if only he could get that Uno movie back into production.

Lil Yachty Revives A Classic McDonald’s Anthem In New Ad For The Restaurant

McDonald’s is no stranger to celebrity cameos and collaborations and that includes musicians. Often that comes through their own custom celebrity meals, of which they’ve done multiple. K-pop group BTS, reggaeton singer J Balvin and subsequently pop icon Mariah Carey have all lent their names to specific meals from the restaurant. The rap world is also well represented with Travis Scott, Saweetie, and Cardi B having collaborated in the past.

But in their new advertisement, they’re taking the hip-hop collaboration in a much more literal direction. For a new commercial in Canada, where McDonald’s is celebrating their new remix menu, they got Lil Yachty to do a remix of his own. In the ad he delivers an updated version of the classic “Menu Song” from advertisements the restaurant aired in the 80s. Yachty in particular feels like the perfect choice for the collab, as he’s spoken in the past about working for McDonald’s as a teenager. Take a look at the full remix he delivered below.

Lil Yachty Steals The Show In New McDonald’s Advertisement

Over the weekend, Lil Yachty flirted with creating controversy. He shared a video explaining why he thinks some rappers are so angry, and they might have been offended by it if it wasn’t so funny. Yachty claims that the simple reasons some rappers are so angry is that “they’re ugly.” The hilarious clip made the rounds online and didn’t seem to cause too much trouble for the rapper.

Yachty has been working with a ton of young up and coming artists recently. He recently formed his own label, Concrete Rekordz. Additionally the project already has multiple signees who have dropped a few songs as “Concrete Boys. “ There’s also a label compilation album from Concrete Boys releasing in just a few days. What do you think of Lil Yachty’s new McDonald’s advertisement? Do you think it’s impressive that he went from working at McDonald’s to collaborating with the restaurant? Jason Kelce Gifts Signed Jersey To Favorite McDonald’s Employee

Jason Kelce had something more than money when he pulled into his local McDonald’s drive-thru this week. First reported by a local Fox affiliate, Kelce surprised Danielle Bonham, a long-time employee of Kelce’s local McDonald’s, with a signed jersey. “To Danielle, Go Birds! Thank you!” read the inscription.

After Kelce’s Eagles were dumped out of the playoffs by the Buccaneers, reports emerged that Kelce had told his teammates he would be retiring. Kelce is 36 and has played in Philly since the Eagles drafted him in 2011. However, in the most recent episode of New Heights, Kelce clarified that he wasn’t officially retired just yet. “I just don’t think you’re in a position after a game like that to really make that decision. It’s just something that I think, when it’s time to officially announce what’s happening in the future, it’ll be done in a way that’s definitive and pays respect to a lot of people and individuals that have meant a lot to me and what has led to the career I’ve had,” Kelce told his brother.

Meanwhile, several former collegiate teammates of Jason and Travis Kelce have shared stories about the brothers with The Athletic in light of the news that Jason may be retiring this offseason. “Those two, it was just insane. Like, holy sh-t, these guys are crazy. Those two are really good at drinking beer. They used to love playing Nintendo 64 for hours, smashing the controls and chugging beers at the same time. They would just come up with these random drinking games while playing, and they were incredibly good at it,” Tom DeTemple recalled.

“We were having a party after one of the games and Jason was a little bit inebriated, let’s say. And he ripped the sink out of the wall in one of the bathrooms. And everybody was like, “What the hell? Who is this guy? This walk-on just ripped the freaking sink out of the wall,” Craig Carey said of the older Kelce. Additionally, Isaiah Pead, another former teammate, said that Jason was consistently referred to as “Big Kelc” as opposed to his name.

McDonald's All American Games Announce Return to Houston

The excitement is building as the McDonald’s All American Games announce their return to Clutch City, set to take place at the Toyota Center in Houston on April 2. Following last year’s thrilling matchups that included the highest-scoring girls’ game in history, the top 48 high school basketball players are gearing up for another showdown.

The McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee has revealed the 724 nominees for both girls and boys, hailing from 43 states and the District of Columbia. Texas leads with 69 nominees, followed closely by California and Florida. The nominees, selected based on stringent criteria, aim to join the ranks of basketball luminaries like Kevin Durant, Candace Parker, and Trae Young.

“This moment is really a culmination of the hard work each of these athletes have put into this game – all those long hours on the court, in the gym and classroom,” said Joe Wootten, McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee Chairman. “My father, Morgan Wootten, co-founded this game over four decades ago, giving high school athletes a national platform to showcase their skills on the biggest stage. It means so much to me and my family to continue his legacy and give athletes this special moment to shine.”

The Selection Committee, featuring high school analysts, prep scouts, and basketball coaches, will soon narrow down the nominees to the final 48 players, with the top 24 girls and 24 boys set to be unveiled on January 23 on NBA Today.

“Having the Games here in Houston last March was so special – it was an experience to remember as fans were treated to two amazing games between some of the best in high school basketball,” said Jonathan Miles, Houston-based McDonald’s Owner/Operator. “I can’t wait for Toyota Center to be rocking again as the newest class of McDonald’s All Americans take the court in April.”

Tickets for the 2024 McDonald’s All American Games and the Jam Fest will be available on January 23 at mcdaag.com. For those unable to attend, catch the Jam Fest on April 1 on ESPN2, followed by the Girls Game on April 2 at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and the Boys Game immediately after at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Not just a thrilling sporting event, the McDonald’s All American Games continue to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities®, supporting children and families throughout their healthcare journey.

Blueface Makes Private Jet Land Early To Eat McDonald’s, Wastes $10K In The Process

Blueface is always down to grab a nice bite to eat, but his rap star status means that he has tighter windows than most when he’s hungry. Moreover, Chrisean Rock’s former boo recently revealed on social media that he made his private plane ditch their travel plans and touch down on solid ground so that he could go buy a McDonald’s burger for his hungry stomach. The wildest part about it all? The California rapper claimed that he wasted $10,000 as a result, which makes this the most expensive beef patty he’s probably ever bought. Jokes aside, he must be a huge fan of the Golden Arches, because either impatience or the joy of being on a private jet would make most others eschew some fast food.

Furthermore, we have some funny social media content to watch chronicling this whole affair. For example, Blueface recorded himself begging the pilot to pull over so he could grab a bite before continuing his trip with his girlfriend Jaidyn Alexis. Then, he was filmed returning to the PJ with some Mickey D’s in hand, and expressed very little regret. “This McDonald’s right here cost me $10,000 just for this little burger,” the “BDD” MC said on the tarmac. “I’m a Schoolyard Crip, I’m really him. Dead homies, $10,000 just for a burger. It’s a combo though, you know.”

Blueface’s McDonald’s Adventures On A Private Jet: Watch

Of course, this is far from the first antic that Blueface found himself in this week. Well, in fact, it might’ve been; after all, his mother Karlissa Saffold was the one making the most headlines over the past seven days. She’s thinking of starting an OnlyFans account, which obviously caused some debate, hilarity, and shock among the 26-year-old’s followers. Whether or not that ends up becoming a successful reality, we’re sure he’ll have some thoughts on the matter to spill online.

Meanwhile, Blue recently had a rekindling of sorts with Chrisean Rock for Thanksgiving. It was great to see them put their laundry list of issues aside for the sake of their kid, at least for one day amid the holiday season. Hopefully it’s a trend that they keep up in an equally wholesome and non-problematic way. For more news and the latest updates on Blueface, come back to HNHH.

Saweetie’s McDonalds Meal Has Her Fans Divided

Sometimes celebs let their very strange eating habits slip. There’s often backlash online for famous people of all kinds when they let slip something they eat that others perceive as gross. That isn’t quite the case with a new Saweetie video making the rounds. While everything she eats seems pretty enjoyable to most, the way she does it has some asking questions. In the video, she’s eating a McDonald’s meal which includes a burger, fries, and sauce, which doesn’t sound so bad all things considered.

But in the actual clip itself, she opens her burger up and pours all of her fries and sauce inside of it before closing it back and taking a bite of the entire concoction. While some in the comments are discussing her food choices, many are focusing on something else in the video. “What is the point of nails, if they make it hard to do normal things?,” one of the top comments reads. It’s in reference to the exceedingly long silver nails Saweetie is sporting in the video. Most of the top comments see fans discussing what the point of the nails is if they make it difficult to do even basic tasks. Despite effectively assembling and eating her meal with them on, many fans suspect that things are difficult as a result of wearing the nails. Check out the full clip below.

Saweetie’s Nails Cause Discussion

The top comment on the post comes from Tamar Braxton, who expresses love for Saweetie but asks her some important questions. “So beautiful but the nails .. It’s giving Edward scissor hands!! Sister how do u wipe your ass? I love you but someone asked me to ask you,” she hilariously comments. Clearly many agree as her comment received over 20k likes in less than a day.

This isn’t the only time she’s shown off the nails recently. She brought them out for a San Francisco 49ers game last week where fans expressed some similar sentiments. What do you think of Saweetie’s nails and the way she eats her McDonalds meal? Let us know in the comment section below.

Mark Zuckerberg Claims He Is Eating 4000 Calories A Day In Preparation For Elon Musk Fight

Somehow, the MMA fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk is still in the works. Despite claims that Musk’s mother had nixed the fight, and major logistical issues like their weight disparity, the two men are still seemingly eager to fight one another. Both men have enlisted the help of UFC legends to train with. While Musk has joined forces with Georges St. Pierre, Zuckerberg has been sparring with Israel Adesanya.

Joining Bloomberg reporter Ashley Vance on a Twitter space back in June, Musk was immediately asked about the fight against Zuckerberg. Vance pointed out that Zuckerberg is actively learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, and boxing. After this preamble, Vance noted that the fight could “go badly” for Musk. Musk would only enter with a height and weight advantage. “Yeah, that’s possible,” Musk conceded before saying that he’s still willing to try and that the fight “might still happen.” Musk has painted himself into a corner. He is unable to retract his challenge without looking like he’s running away from his tech rival.

Zuckerberg Reveals Calorie Intake, McDonald’s Order

Taking to Threads, Zuckerberg revealed his McDonald’s order as part of his training regime to take on Musk. “20 nuggets, a quarter pounder, large fries, Oreo McFlurry, apple pie, and maybe some side cheeseburgers for later?,” the Meta founder said. HotNewHipHop has confirmed via the McDonald’s menu that Zuck’s order (calculating for three cheeseburgers in place of “some side cheeseburgers”) comes to 3390 calories. However, not everyone was impressed by his massive order. “You’re in camp! No McDonalds 😂,” remarked current UFC fighter Mark David.

“Not cutting weight so I need ~4000 calories a day to offset all the activity. And it’s so delicious…,” Zuck argued. At the time of writing, Zuck is around 85lb lighter than Musk. That’s a four-weight-class difference, with Zuck in featherweight and Musk in light heavyweight. We still don’t have any word on when or where the fight will take place but it appears that Zuck is taking things very seriously in the meantime.

Pusha T Still Cashes In Royalties For The Arby’s Commercial Theme Song

Pusha T’s skills as a rapper are well-documented over a 20-year career. You could talk about his solo albums, the Clipse discography with his brother Malice (now known as No Malice), his diss tracks, his features- but don’t forget his fast food contributions. Moreover, former G.O.O.D. Music executive Steven Victor explained during a recent interview how King Push still gets royalties for the song that sandwich chain Arby’s uses in all its commercials- a track with him and Yogi. Furthermore, as someone who’s worked a lot with the Virginia native, Victor labeled it as one of his best business moves.

“I think convincing Pusha to rap on Yogi’s beat, and it ended up being the theme song for Arby’s,” he stated with a smile when asked about what creative decisions he’s proudest of. “If you watch an Arby’s commercial, at the end of it, it goes, ‘Arby’s- we have the meats!’ That’s the song! They don’t even use Pusha’s part. But they have to pay him, because he owns 50 percent of the song. So, every time they want to sync the song, they have to come to us for approval.”

Steven Victor Explains Pusha T’s Arby’s Royalties

At the time of writing this article, the track “Burial” by Yogi and Pusha T soundtracks Arby’s commercials- and has done so for seven years. While it’s unclear exactly how much the 46-year-old has made as a result, we can imagine it’s quite a lot. What’s more is that he also worked with Arby’s to write and record a diss track against McDonald’s’ Filet-O-Fish. The “Spicy Fish Diss Track” sees the MC go way harder than he ever needed to for it to be good.

In fact, for those unaware, the “Diet Coke” artist has quite the history with McDonald’s, involving yet another jingle. He and his brother wrote the iconic “I’m Lovin’ It” tag in 2003 and got paid a one-time fee with no royalties. Considering that Justin Timberlake received $6 million to record it, they felt cheated out, and thus, Push waged war in the fast-food realm. Talk about a hunger for revenge. Boosie Badazz Explains Feuding With McDonald’s Over A Drive-Through Encounter

Boosie Badazz recently recalled one particularly unpleasant experience with McDonald’s during a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club. When asked about the bad trip, he explained that he was upset about being given just one sauce packet.

“You know what them fucking people be doing. They did it to you too. Fucking sauces bitches they give you one jelly,” he began. “I’m not doing it, bro. That pissed me off that day because I’ve been going to McDonald’s forever, bro. I get in my feelings with certain shit and it happened in the airport before that.”

Boosie continued: “I’m like, ‘Can I get a couple more jellies?’ She said, ‘You got one biscuit.’ I like my shit sloppy you know I like my shit hanging off when you squeeze that bitch. I feel like they’re not being paid extra to not give you jelly. If you was getting paid an extra fucking fee by me — man, throw two more fucking in the jelly thing this big. You can’t throw three [or] four more jellies? You love your job too fucking much you gon’ be working there a long time, bitch!”

Boosie On His McDonald’s Complaint

Boosie initially shared his disappointing experience with the fast food chain on social media immediately after the fact. In a video posted last month, he explained that he was trying to get breakfast while on IG Live. “Fucking two-pack? I should go back. Stupid ass. Told her four jellies. She gave me two. I hate when they act like that with fucking jelly,” he said at the time. “That is not your fucking jelly. Fucking jelly. They got so much of that shit in there. Acting like that with the jelly. You ain’t gon’ get no raise for not giving a n***a no jelly.” Despite voicing his frustration, he didn’t go back to complain. Check out the clip of Boosie’s latest comments on the matter above.
