DJ Akademiks is on the short list of streamers who get to play exclusive music. He’s on there with Adin Ross and Kai Cenat. This makes sense, given his connections to numerous high profile rappers. DJ Ak is someone who regularly claims to have messages from Drake to relay to the fans. This link seemed to be in full effect on Friday, October 4. DJ Akademiks played the full music video version of the upcoming Lil Durk and Drake “Discontinuing Wockhardt.” He didn’t even realize it hadn’t been released until halfway through.

DJ Akademiks threw the song on and started vibing to it during his live stream. The stream window was partially in the way, but it appears as though the streamer threw up the unreleased music video for the song on stream as well. It’s difficult to tell for sure, but it definitely looks like Lil Durk is rapping along to the lyrics. Ak then second-guesses whether the song is out or not. He stops the song, googles the drop date, and realizes he’s playing “Discontinuing Wockhardt” early. The internet personality shrugs and puts the song back on. He gets especially excited when Drake’s verse kicks in.

The Lil Durk Song Was Originally Teased By Adin Ross

Drake’s inclusion on the song has actually been a point of contention in recent weeks. The song was first previewed by Adin Ross back in September. It turned heads because Drake alluded to quitting lean, and then people quickly forgot about the snippet. “Discontinuing Wockhardt” then appeared on the tracklist for Lil Durk’s upcoming album, Love Songs 4 the Streets 3. All good, right? Well, not quite. Drake was the only artist seemingly not listed as a feature. The tracklist boasted appearances from the likes of Sabrina Carpenter and Kai Cenat, but “Discontinuing Wockhardt” was listed as a solo song.

Rumors began to swirl that this was yet another instance of Drake running into clearance issues. The rapper previously had to take Playboi Carti off the song “No Face,” and he allegedly removed Lil Boat from the final version “Supersoak.” Some even theorized that the exclusion meant there were issues between Lil Durk and Drizzy. Fortunately, Lil Durk came out and claimed that the tracklist circulating online was fake. When taken into consideration with Akademiks previews, it seems like Drake will be making the final cut.

DDG Claims Viral IG Screenshot Explaining Why He Is Single Is Fake

DDG and Halle Bailey are no more. The couple charmed fans everywhere, especially after the arrival of their son in 2023, but DDG confirmed that they were going their separate ways on October 3. He put out a lengthy statement on Instagram, detailing their decision and assuring fans that they are still going to be friends and co-parents. The internet, being the internet, reacted in unpredictable ways. Some made fun of the couple, others criticized them for not trying to stay together for the sake of their child. Then there was someone who made a fake screenshot of a DDG message.

The message made the rounds the same day as DDG’s breakup statement. It was framed, similarly, as white text against a black Instagram Story backdrop. It also posed DDG’s decision to end his romance with Halle Bailey as something that stemmed from frustration. “I’m a grown man I can make my own decisions,” the fake post explained. “We chose to split because of personal reasons, nah it’s not a skit. I’m not hurt.” The fake post also posited that DDG is happy with the state of his relationship as long as his son is taken care of. “As long as my son good I’m good,” the post concluded.

DDG Claimed He Doesn’t Use Close Friends On IG

While nothing said was inflammatory or especially bold, DDG didn’t say it. He took to Twitter to clarify that he doesn’t even use the “close friends” option on Instagram. This is where the screenshot was alleged to have come from. “I don’t even use close friends,” the rapper tweeted. He then directed an insult at the fans who made and circulated the fake post. “Stop being weird,” he asserted. The couple made headlines for dressing up like Janet Jackson and Tupac from the film Poetic Justice during their last Halloween, but not everything for them has been smooth sailing.

DDG made it clear that he didn’t like how cozy Bailey got with her Little Mermaid co-star during the press tour. He said as much in the song “Famous.” The title itself sparked debate, as Bailey’s Disney role made her significantly more famous than her musician boyfriend. “Filmin’ a movie now you kissing dudes / You know I love you a lot,” DDG rapped. “I don’t give a f*ck if that sh*t for promo / I don’t wanna see this sh*t no more.” Halle Bailey, who has yet to speak publicly on the split.

Which is why fans were both surprised and disappointed that JT failed to post anybody on October 3. For context, October 3 is National Boyfriend’s Day. The rapper was called out online for what was perceived as a disrespectful move. The backlash grew so strong, in fact, that JT decided to hop on Instagram Live in an attempt to clear things up.

JT claimed that she wasn’t in a good headspace on National Boyfriend’s Day. “I was PMS’ing,” she said. “I was mean… like so b*tchy to my man.” The former City Girls rapper went on to reveal that she did have a post for Lil Uzi Vert planned. “I’m gonna make a post about my man on Instagram,” she claimed. “I was just like, looking for a song to use. I put ‘Cater 2 U,’ and then I put Keyshia Cole, ‘Trust.’” The Uzi Vert post never saw the light of day, however. JT didn’t have a reason why. “I don’t even know why I never got to post it,” she admitted. JT proceeded to delve into her own insecurities around sharing her life with the fans. She explained that she has a hard time opening up about her life, despite being “proud” of who she is with.

JT Claims She Forgot To Post About Lil Uzi Vert

“I’m just not that girl, and I want to become that girl,” the rapper claimed. “I wanna start being more posty, and letting y’all know… I got a man, I love my man. And I love my life.” JT’s told fans that her big reason for being reluctant is that she believes people would want to see her sad if she posted about how happy she was all the time. “I am a happy person,” she confirmed. “I have a great f*cking life… should show y’all more.” JT’s timing could not have been worse, in terms of public perception. The last time Lil Uzi Vert spoke on their girlfriend publicly, they went viral for all the right reasons.

Lil Uzi Vert gave a street interview on August 3. The woman interviewing Uzi attempted to get their phone number, but the rapper refused. “I got a girlfriend,” they explained. “[I’m] dating JT right now.” When pressed further on the matter, Lil Uzi Vert doubled down and made an even bolder statement. “[I’m] dating JT forever.” The woman jokingly noted that Uzi’s comments ruined their interview, but the clip quickly went viral on TikTok. Diddy’s Ex Bodyguard Alleges That Usher Was Hospitalized Following Diddy Assault

Gene Deal has had a lot to say following Diddy’s arrest. The man who previously worked as Diddy’s bodyguard claims that he saw lots of troubling behavior over the years. The most unnerving allegation Deal made yet, however, came to light on October 4. He went on The Art of Dialogue and alleged that Usher, one of Diddy’s proteges in the 1990s, was sexually assaulted by the mogul. Furthermore, Deal alleges Usher was in such bad shape following the assault that he was hospitalized.

Deal asserts that he was not around when the alleged assault and hospitalization took place. “I heard it from some music executives,” he explained. “I’m not gonna speak on they name. They may speak on it theyself.” The former bodyguard claimed that he didn’t know who Usher was at the time, because the singer was still establishing himself as an R&B star. “‘Puff send this little kid to the hospital,’” he alleges he was told. “‘Man, n**ga was bleeding from the butt.’ And that’s what was said.” Deal claimed that he was prompted to share this story because of the allegations that were recently made against Diddy.

Usher Claims He Saw “Curious Things” Living With Diddy

“They got kids coming forward,” Deal noted. “They said that he did that… That sh*t is crazy.” Deal was adamant, however, that he has no evidence as to whether the alleged Usher incident is true. “That’s just something that I heard,” he restated. The allegations that Gene Deal is referring to the claims made by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee. He announced that over 3,800 people have come forward and claimed that Diddy assaulted them. Of the 120 cases Buzbee has agreed to take on, he stated that one of them was nine years old at the time of the alleged assault.

“Most of these events and incidents occurred at parties,” Buzbee told reporters. “Typically after parties or album release parties, New Year’s Eve parties, Fourth of July parties. Something they called a puppy party or white parties.” Usher has not publicly responded to Gene Deal’s comments. He did, however, talk about the “wild” experiences he had being under Diddy’s wing. “It was curious,” he said during a Howard Stern appearance. “I got a chance to see some things… It was crazy.”

Kerry Washington is best known on the big and small screen but now you can add tech investor to her repertoire. The Scandal star has recently become an investor in Spill, a Black-owned social media platform that fosters connections, culture, and commerce. According to an exclusive report from TechCrunch, Washington provided financial backing as the platform approaches its second anniversary.

Washington has been an active participant and early adopter on the platform, perhaps by design, regularly hosting live video sessions called “tea parties” for her followers. Alphonzo Terrell, Spill’s founder, praised Washington’s engagement with the community, saying, “She’s incredibly accessible and knowledgeable, especially around these topics, and is not scared in any way, shape, or form about really engaging with people directly. I think it really does represent the kind of environment we want to cultivate on Spill … We’re all human here, too. Let’s connect.”

Get this, the actress shared her motivation for supporting Spill, explaining, “When I joined Spill as a user, I was amazed and inspired by how safe the community felt.
