Kanye West Fans React After Yeezy Slides Sell Out Instantly

Kanye West’s sneaker creations have always led to a bit of controversy over the years. Just like his music, Kanye likes to get creative with his silhouettes, and sometimes, it feels like he is trying to reinvent the wheel. Numerous different models have been clowned online, including the Yeezy Slides which are known for their rigid design that has what appear to be spikes underneath. For the better part of two years, these slides have been made fun of online although today, Kanye had the last laugh.

Three new Yeezy Slides were released to the world through Yeezy Supply and as you can probably guess, they all sold out exceptionally fast. Thousands of Yeezy fans flocked to the Yeezy Supply website to try and get their hands on some $55 slides but in the end, it was all for nothing.

Fans were not impressed with how quickly the slides sold out and many took to social media to voice their displeasure. Perhaps the biggest source of anger came from the fact that so many people said the slides were trash but sold out anyway. This always seems to be the case with Kanye’s shoes and sneakerheads should probably be aware of this by now.

Regardless, you can check out some of the best reactions to the drop, below.

Asian Doll Says People Recognize Her As “Queen Von”

Asian Doll has been publicly grieving the death of her ex-boyfriend, King Von, for months, using her platform to share her favorite memories with the late 26-year-old. While she hasn’t rebranded fully, she’s kept the rapper’s memory alive by referring to herself as “Queen Von” because of her close connection to him. Some view the move as a tribute, and others have accused her of disrespecting Von’s legacy by bringing him up. Nobody truly knows how close these two were, but apparently, the world has caught onto her “Queen Von” nickname because, during her latest trip to the nail technician, a bunch of people allegedly referred to her as such.

“I walked in the nail shop they talking bout omg Queen Von Here,” tweeted Asian Doll over the weekend. “I do not expect when Foreign people notice me.”

Many are calling out Asian Doll, claiming that she’s lying about this incident, making it up for more clout. When DJ Akademiks reposted the tweet, she was scrutinized to an even stronger degree with fans bashing her in the comments. Asian has already responded to those folks though, saying, “Why people saying they didn’t say that when they said exactly what I said.”

Do you think Asian Doll was actually recognized as Queen Von by her nail technician? Or did she make this story up?

DeMarcus Cousins Scores New Deal With The Clippers

DeMarcus Cousins is a player who has been plagued by injuries over the last few years although that hasn’t stopped him from grinding and trying to be the best player he can be. At the start of the season, he got to play with the Houston Rockets although eventually, they let him go after guaranteeing his contract. Leading up to the trade deadline, Cousins was advocating for a new home, and eventually, he was given a couple of 10-day contracts with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Now, Cousins has been signed for the rest of the season, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports. The Clippers are set to go on a big playoff run and they will need to consolidate their depth in order to hit their goals. Needless to say, keeping Cousins for the rest of the season was high on the priority list.

The Clippers have made some big moves over the past few weeks. For instance, they traded Lou Williams for Rajon Rondo which has already proven to be an exceptional deal for both sides. Despite their failures last season, the Clippers are in the driver’s seat right now and they will certainly be determined to change the narratives surrounding the franchise.

Conway The Machine Teases Shady Records Debut: “The Illest Lyricism”

Conway The Machine is on a tear. Only a few weeks ago, the lyricist delivered La Maquina, a project that once again solidified his position as one of the modern greats. Today, the prolific Buffalo rapper took a moment to catch up with Ebro, Laura Stylez, and Rosenberg, touching on a variety of promising topics.

After confirming that he intends on heading on tour this September, enlisting Stove God Cooks as the opening act, Conway opened up about some of his future musical endeavors. Endeavors that happen to include his upcoming Shady Records debut God Don’t Make Mistakes, which is easily one of the year’s most anticipated releases. “I ain’t know I was working that hard,” laughs Conway, marveling at the fact he currently has twenty projects under his belt.

Laura Stylez inquires about “Scatter Brain,” and how he managed to put together the Don Cannon-produced, J.I.D & Ludacris-assisted banger. “I wanted something I can air out real fast,” he explains. “A lot of people are trying to marginalize me, put me in a box. I’m a rough and tough gangsta rapper or something like that. I’m not a tough guy man, I live a beautiful life. I love the ladies, the ladies love me. I’m on that type of time. But I wanted to get one of them types of joints — I wanna talk my sass, man.”

“I hit Luda out of nowhere,” he continues. “That Wendy Williams thing had happened, DJ I forget his name, some lame, was talking crazy on the Wendy Williams show about the boy. So Luda had my back through that, so I hit him like we gotta cook. So I sent him that. In the meantime, when I was waiting on his verse, I hit my bro J.I.D. He sent it back, it all worked out like that.”

He also confirms that he and 2 Chainz worked on a song for God Don’t Make Mistakes, though he’s uncertain if it will make the cut over sample clearance issues. “He sent me something for his album he’s working on,” teases Conway. “He a good dude. He a real one. He always showed me love, and I like our chemistry on the records we did together.”

When Ebro asks what can be expected on Conway’s upcoming Shady release, The Machine takes a moment to consider. “The illest lyricism, the most beautiful wordplay that’s ever been witnessed by humankind,” he laughs. “Ill shit man! Put it simply, I’m just rapping, man. I’m not on some humble time no more. We rapping or what, that’s my message to n***as…Put me in that classroom, with the rappers.”

Check out the full conversation with Ebro, Laura, and Rosenberg below, and sound off if you’re looking forward to God Don’t Make Mistakes.

Trevor Lawrence Scores Big Endorsement Deal With Crypto App

Trevor Lawrence is most likely going to be the number one overall pick in the NFL Draft which goes down on Thursday night. Lawrence was a standout quarterback who virtually everyone knew was going to be a massive star. The Jacksonville Jaguars are in a position to pick him and considering he is about to be number one, there is no denying that Lawrence is going to be set for life financially.

In fact, as a way to show his commitment to finance, Lawrence has signed a brand new endorsement deal with the likes of Blockfolio. Blockfolio is an app that tracks all of your cryptocurrency investments and allows you to manage your crypto portfolio. What makes this deal unique is the fact that his signing bonus was paid in crypto and has already turned a profit, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Cryptocurrency is in the midst of a massive bull market which is what’s making it so popular right now. With currencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum gaining steam week in and week out, the crypto world has become an attractive place for young people to learn how to invest their money.

For instance, Chiefs tight end Sean Culkin announced this week that he would convert his entire salary into Bitcoin. Perhaps more players will be doing the same in the future.

Polo G Stays At #1 For Second Straight Week, Goes Gold With “RAPSTAR”

Arguably one of the most surprising #1 debuts of the entire year, Polo G has officially spent his second-straight week at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with his latest single “RAPSTAR.”  It was also revealed that in just two short weeks, the song has also been certified gold by the RIAA.

The new update was announced for the Billboard Hot 100 on Monday and it was revealed that Polo G is staying still at the pole position for another week. According to a press release, the Chicago native is the only male debut to spend two consecutive weeks at #1 on the chart this year. This feat also makes “RAPSTAR” the twenty-second song in history to log both its first and second weeks at the top of the tally. “RAPSTAR” is also officially certified gold by the RIAA, moving over 500,000 units.

The song has been ultra-popular, hitting over 38 million views on YouTube. It’s Polo’s biggest song to date, making all of his fans excited for what’s to come on his upcoming studio album Hall Of Fame.

Despite some changes further down in the top ten, the most popular songs in the country have remained mostly the same for the last week. Young Stoner Life, Young Thug, and Gunna debuted some Slime Language 2 records just outside of the top ten, ranking “Solid” at #12, “Ski” at #18, and “Diamonds Dancing” at #46. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200.
