Devin Cannady’s Status Updated After Gruesome Injury

Devin Cannady has been an inspirational story to many as his ascent into the NBA ranks was never guaranteed. His improbable rise to fame has been documented by fans and Magic supporters have grown to love what he brings to the team. Unfortunately, Cannady experienced a devastating injury last night as he landed awkwardly on his ankle, leading to a gruesome scene that featured blood pooling on the floor. His teammates showed immediate concern, including Mo Bamba who covered Cannady’s ankle with his jersey.

Now, the Magic have given an update on Cannady, confirming that the player won’t be able to return this season although he can make a full recovery. Based on the report, his ligaments and bone are all intact and now, he will have to wear a plaster splint until further notice.

Immediately following the injury, Cannady had to get surgery on his ankle in order to clean out any initial impact that was sustained. Considering the gruesome nature of the injury, it shouldn’t be surprising that surgery was immediately necessary.

You never want to see a player go down in this fashion although it was great to see his teammates support him in such a proud manner. We wish him nothing but the best throughout the recovery process.

Daniel Cormier Reveals What He Would Do To Jake Paul

Shortly after defeating Ben Askren in a first-round knockout just last weekend, Jake Paul felt like it was a good time to go after everyone in the MMA world. From Conor McGregor to Dana White to Daniel Cormier, Paul seemingly had smoke for everyone. In fact, Paul went on his brother’s podcast and said that he would be down to fight Cormier and that he is fairly certain he could win. Cormier didn’t take those words lightly and during UFC 261, Cormier went over to Paul and gave him a stern talking to.

During the latest episode of Cormier’s podcast with Ariel Helwani, the former UFC champion spoke about his showdown with Paul and how he won’t be taking the YouTuber’s disrespect. In fact, Cormier got violent went speaking about Paul as he explained exactly what he would do to Jake in the Octagon.

“I’m going to torture him. I’m going to hurt him. I don’t want to box him. I don’t want to fight in a limited skill set of rules. If you really want to fight me, fight me in a mixed martial arts competition,” Cormier said. “I’m going to rip his face apart. I’m going to hurt the kid. I’m will teach these kids not to continue to do this with people like me — athletes. Ariel, I will hurt this kid. … I’m gonna choke him, I’m gonna elbow him. I’m gonna hurt him.”

Based on these words, it’s fairly obvious that DC has very little respect for the youngest Paul brother. However, despite all of the tough talk, it’s highly unlikely these two ever face off in an MMA setting.

Gucci Mane Praises Pooh Shiesty & Big Scarr: “A Lot To Celebrate”

Gucci Mane feels excellent these days. For the last few years, the legendary rapper’s main priority has been to stack his label’s roster with the strongest talent around the country and he’s succeeded in doing so, introducing the world to his artists Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, Big Scarr, Enchanting, and more. He took a vacation with his wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir, for the weekend and they were living the high life, reflecting on all of Guwop’s success this year.

Posting a video on social media, Gucci Mane answered how he was feeling and his answer will bring a smile to your face. The rapper showed major love to his four-month-old son Ice Davis, his artist Pooh Shiesty, and the man he refers to as his “secret weapon,” Big Scarr.

“I’m doing great. I’m actually doing excellent,” said the 41-year-old rapper. “I got a lot to celebrate. My lil brother turned four months. My artist Pooh Shiesty is through the roof. My secret weapon Big Scarr is opening they eyes, don’t sleep on him. All is well. Pockets on swole.”

Gucci Mane has been celebrating his artist’s victories all year, most recently shouting out Big Scarr for selling 22,000 first-week copies of his first-ever project. Pooh Shiesty’s mixtape Shiesty Season continues to be one of the most in-demand hip-hop projects of the entire year.

Migos Preview “Culture 3” With BTS Recording Footage

The Migos are on the precipice of dropping off their upcoming album Culture 3and while it currently appears locked in the perpetual coming soon stages, it’s only a matter of time. Though it’s admittedly been a minute since the trio delivered a new single, Migos have certainly increased the flurry of pre-album Instagram activity, signaling that a rollout is unfolding before our very eyes.

Today, the Atlanta trio took to Instagram to issue a reminder that the album is indeed “coming,” though they opted to keep the specifics close to their chest. They did, however, provide an endearing glimpse into their behind-the-scenes recording process, sharing a brief video that finds each member hard at work in the studio.

In the video, Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff can be seen tracking vocals and working through new sections, with the opening showcasing the latter two members coming up with some new melodies. Quavo is notably coachlike in his demeanor, quarterbacking as he and Takeoff repeatedly navigate through a section. Offset gets the spotlight next, firing off lines in the booth, landing some while others simply go the way of the mumble. It’s an interesting glimpse at how the dexterous trio puts in work, and it should be interesting to see how everything comes together on wax.

Speaking of which, we’re nearing the last week of April with no sign that Culture 3 will close things out this Friday. As such, it’s likely that more details (and possibly a new single) will surface in May. Keep an eye out for developments on the anticipated album, and in the meantime, check out the latest behind-the-scenes drop from the Migos below.
